I didnt want to add to the one star ratings this company had. Most of the low ratings seemed to be not much there fault.But after using tru green since 2018 I have to say one star.I had big patches of grass die every winter. What ever they did didnt help. Was told a lot of excuses that were not my fault but at the same time maybe wasnt theirs but I was paying them to figure it out. Spraying their stuff on dirt doesnt help. Manager came out promised a few things.....never showed up. They say the right things but dont seem to follow through. Please beware when choosing.
Called in because I was working in Irongate on Savannah Round. TruGreen truck ran through the stop sign and was speeding. Called the company and was told nothing could be done. Not a very good way to protect the public and make sure their trucks are being driven in a safe manner. Wouldnt use this company if they are a danger to the neighborhood.
We used true green 1 year before we moved houses. True green brought our yard back from the grave. The service was priced reasonably, and the results saved us $5,000 in sod replacement. We were so happy with the service we contracted another year at our new house. Results may vary for your home, but we were very happy. Oh by the way make sure you water your lawn, and follow the yard maintenance true green suggests or else you might not get the results you expect.
If the results below are acceptable, sign up for the Trugreen Lawn Maintenance Programs. I wanted to enjoy a long, green relationship with them, I really tried. I didn’t expect a perfect lawn, but hoped for a better, healthier lawn. After over a year of service, This is not that .What a disappointing hassle and waste of calls and emails it’s been trying to get them to properly respond.My advice is to look elsewhere.I found that Trugreen is not the answer.
I like your service technicians. They are so polite, professional and easy to coordinate with. Theres a great level of communication. Im primarily concerned with mosquitoes and the service saves me from thousands of mosquitoes bites. Im a mosquito magnet!
Received a call from a inquiry online. The call started off well and very persuasive. Once the I was given amount for each visit, I stated I would call back after I talked with my spouse. The total for all the visits was a decent amount of money. I was told they needed to earn my business or someone else would. I was given a lower price for each visit and I told them thank you, but I would still like to speak to my spouse. I was abruptly told that did not work for them and they hung up. I find this completely unprofessional and very disrespectful. A customer should have the chance and right to think over a purchase and not be bullied into a making a decision. This is the second negative interaction I have had with Trugreen and refuse to ever use them!
I can never..ever get an agent in the line. My lawn looks horrible and they use very little product.
I ended up having to do the lawn myself and it looked incredible. Then they sent a guy out to tell me my yard would die because of the chemicals I used. It didnt and I had the best looking yard in the neighborhood NO THANKS TO TRUEGREEN. i HAD CANCELED SERVICE BUT STILL GOT BILLED AND HOUNDED BY COLLECTIONS AGENTS..DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING...THEY ARE HORRIBLE.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Before and after pictures speak for themselves. We called Trugreen out to our home 3 times outside of their normal services between September and December 2018 because the grass was dying. We decided to cancel because they refused to refund our money or re-seed after the entire back yard died. A different reason for the grass death was provided every time (fungus, poor drainage, pests, etc ) even though we had no problems for 3 years before we hired them. After going through two layers of management they offered a discount to re-up with them and give them a chance to make it right. They promised to come out the next week and lay lime down because the soil was full of moss. A week went by, nothing. I contacted them and they said they had a death in the company. No plans to notify customers there would be a delay. Another week went by, and still nothing, no response to my texts to the manager who promised we were his VIPs. So we cancelled for good. Now were getting quotes to re-sod because the entire back yard is gone. Beware of this company!
I would never recommend using this service to anyone I know. I bought an aeration service about a month ago, which they no showed on me 3 times in a row. When I called to get refunded, they could care less. Do not give people who dont care about you your hard earned money. Go somewhere where a company actually cares about its clientele.
Avoid! A TruGreen representative called me and was incredibly rude when I said I was going to wait until next year to start service. He told me if youre gonna be a lookin Lucy, take a hike! I guess thats one way to treat people.
Avoid this business at all cost. Completely unprofessional and unresponsive. They claim to know how to take care of your lawn as that they have “experts” all of which are lies. Beware of their sales tactics because they will take your money and ruin your lawn. We complained for 6 months until we cancelled and then finally received a callback with no resolution. Dont waste your money.
After speaking with a TruGreen specialist, I was told that I would be charged $43.00 for an initial pest treatment on my lawn, and then 6 weeks from that point, I would be charged $86.00 for every subsequent treatment. On Saturday 10/17, a tech came out for my lawn treatment, which I was happy to pay the agreed $43.00 for. The tech also marked on a doorknocker that the cost would be $43, but when I saw the email, it was for $87.95 AND they tried to send out another tech this Morning, Wed 10/21 for another treatment only 4 days after the initial treatment for another $87.95. I called the office and the receptionist told me that the two treatments are typically done at the same time, but since they werent, that I would be charged the $87 two separate times. I cancelled my service.
Horrible. I used them in MD and service was incident free. Here in SC I have consistently experienced the following issues.1) tech would not apply to all parts of the yard2) Applications claimed to have been done simply werent. I have cameras all over my house.3) No accountability for errors. I call in like today and the wait is 3 hours.4) When I call in with an issue or to suggest a re-application, the person calls me back and listens and then tells me its someone different that I should call. When i get the next return call from True green, they call me to tell me its the weed guy, or the fertilizer guy, or the other guy5) When i meet the tech applying the application and I ask them to address my concern, they shake their head and nod and NEVER follow up6) I spend SO much time sending and receiving calls to resolve simple issues and closure is hard to get. Its definitely this region as I have been a customer in MD for over 25 years. They were great and proactive7) A recent supervisor called me back and said he understands my issues and said that he was leaving truegreen to go to another lawn company for some of these reasons.8) I put 4 calls in to cancel service after my pre-paid year was complete and on EACH call I was assured that they closed my account. I find out today that once again, my account is SILL activeThe quality of he actual service is OK, but communication and resolution is 100 percent NOT possible.Today i called to cancel the service for a 5th time - they want me to hold for 3 hours. Also no one from Truegreen reads this, so I dont expect them to resolve or improve. I have no energy left for this companyUPDATE as expected No call from whoever RS is and on top of cancelling this service more an 6 times now, I get a notice that they are on their way to perform service. I am no longer putting any time and energy in this effort. They simply dont communicate. Its a common ocurrence among neighbors with them. FB postings were NEVER favorable when truegreen is mentioned.

We had a lady to visit our house yesterday to spray and she only sprayed for misquotoes. My contract is for misquitos, ticks and fleas. She was not polite and my husband said he tried to talk to her but she left. Please return my call. 843f 478 3275

According to TruGreen, my lawn disappearing here was due to high traffic. Funny that it never had a problem at all for the 3 years prior to using TruGreen to service my lawn. They did take care of the clover, which was my main concern... BEFORE MY GRASS DIED. These pictures are 7 months apart (Sept 2018 - March 2019). I know from my security cameras that the techs skipped my backyard on several occasions, even though they put full area on the receipt. The salesman I spoke to when purchasing said they would fix bare spots, apparently he meant they would CAUSE bare spots.Avoid this company at all costs, they will promise you things and rip you off. I will be contacting a lawyer.
Whatever was put on the lawn killed 90% of the grass. Looks awful. Also it is very hard to communicate with TruGreen. Do not believe the message that you will get a reply to an online message in 2 business days. Its now almost 2 weeks!
Dealing with this company has not been a good experience. My lawn looks terrible full of weeds and many bare spots. Called many times trying to meet with the owner to have him take a look at my lawn he never was available. The technicians would not treat my backyard, I have them on camera not completing the paid in advance services. It was a hit and a run and my lawn shows the poor quality of lawn care treatments. Poorly managed company. My husband called and I called trying to get a resolution, you just get lip service and zero results. Cancelled today. I would advise anyone to not any waste time or money with this company.
Extremely unprofessional. Sold me an airation plan 3 different times, but they kept forgetting they did it. Luckily I was never charged. Techs randomly cancel jobs for no reason messing up any plans you have for the day and will not call ahead on jobs. Find someone local and not this trash.
I have been a TRUEGREEN customer for past 13 years and finally realized what a ripoff service it is with horrible management and poor customer service.I had a weed control service performed on my property on July 30th, 2020. Three days later I noticed brown lines around different areas of my property and contacted TRUEGREEN office in N. Charleston and voiced my concern. I was told a manager would come out and look at the damage. Two days later the TRUEGREEN specialist shows up (not a manager or supervisor) and he informs me that he is the one that applied the weed control and due to high concentration of the chemicals the grass was burned but the roots should be fine and it will grow back. I was told to water the grass and if within two weeks it doesn’t grow back to contact him directly. He assured me that if needed he would come out and cover the patches with a topsoil to speed up the growth. I appreciated the honesty and the fact that he took ownership and gave a solution to my concern.Three weeks go by and there are still brown areas and patches of dead grass. I called the office to talk to the associate and was told that a manager would call me back.One day later a manager called me and I explained the situation to him and what was discussed and promised by the TRUEGREEN associate.He told me that the associate was “FIRED” and asked me to email photos of grass before and after the weed control application.A Week goes by and no one reached out to me. I emailed the manager to make sure the photos were received and the response from him basically stating that it was not their fault and there is nothing he is going to do.How convenient to fire the associate and not take ownership. That man has no manager skills and total lack of empathy or concern for the damage that his company created on my property. TRUEGREEN is Unprofessional and unaccountable.As a result I terminated my TRUEGREEN account and will never use them again.

TruBrown.....Awful....RoundUp grass and weed killer would have been better for my grass. The technicians came to my yard wouldnt know the difference between St. Augustine grass and soybeans. I trusted TruGreen with my new lawn and the results were absolutely disastrous. If you are considering doing the same, look at my before and after pictures. These are worth more than a 1000 words. I used them a few years back for fire ants which cost a little over 100 dollars with a one year guarantee. I called the other day and was quoted 79 dollars requiring two applications within a year at 79 dollars each. I was told if you pay up front I can save you 5 dollars and set your second appointment for next month. Well I dont need to save 5 dollars and why would I need the second application next month if its good for a year. Well her tone changes to irritation. I tell her nevermind you just lost a customer. I receive a email solicitation for my business a few minutes later than a local guy calls and says he can do my yard at a cheaper price than what the national person quoted me for 300 dollars for the year. Do any of these people even know they are rated less than 5 stars. News flash youre pissing customers off.
Bad experience already. I saw an advertisement for Tru Green for $29.95 first application so I called up the company and spoke with an representative in which I made myself clear that I have never used their company before and needed someone to come out and do an analysis of my lawn because I had a blast spot in the back yard . The representative clearly told me that they will do that and that my first application would only be $29,95 and he gave me a break down of what would be performed for each visit and the price of each application afterwards. I SPECIFICALLY explained to him that I didn’t want anything done to my yard until the analysis told me what was the problem as to why that area was not growing . Well as of yesterday September 10, 2020, I woke up to this loud noise and looked out my window to find a true green employee doing an aeration of my yard and putting a spread of lime down. When I went outside he was finished and walking towards his truck telling me he was done. I’m like well did you find out why my yard is the way it is, he said ma’am I don’t know I was just scheduled to come out just water your lawn for 20 minutes and he left. He was at my at my residence for 20 minutes and only did my back year and not my entire yard from which I made clear I wanted done. So I looked up the company reviews and saw the horrible reviewed that was left and said oh no I will not be a victim of this, so I called the company to tell them if my experience and that I wanted to cancel, they didn’t want to hear that they kept telling me that they would send someone out to talk to me and do aeration of the ENTIRE yard, so I told them no. Because I wanted an analysis done FIRST prior to them doing anything in my yard. So as I’m talking to the female representative she said she hold cancel my services but didn’t know the whole time she was charging my credit card $197 😡😡😡😡 So I called back and told them what happened not one said anything about refunding my money they were trying to convince me to stay with the company . The advertisement of $29.95 was a false advertisement and within 20 minutes of service I was charged almost $200. I will NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy. I wished I had checked the reviews before I had them to come out.
We have had good success using TruGreen no complaints with service, just hard to get anyone on the phone sometimes, otherwise we are happy.
Since hiring Trugreen this year my lawn has never looked better. We had an issue with bare patches during the summer and they sent a technician right away. After his explanation of “drought” conditions we increased our watering and the lawn grew back within a couple of weeks. They are very responsive and clearly know what they are doing.
This company used to be good. They’ve gone down hill big time! I have two properties they served and after the aeration (horrible) I called customer service. Spoke with a female receptionist who seemed annoyed to be asked questions. After that, I canceled future services at both properties and wrote the experience off as “a company that used to be good”.

So far the guys that have come to treat the lawn have been very personable and did everything they said they were going to do. Answered my questions so I could understand what, and why, they were doing.

Was not given a 10 day notice that the services would resume in the year nor offered a new yearly plan. Was charged $50 for a service. When calling to cancel, was told that they did send communication via mail on their end. Hung up, no need to argue back and forth about whether or not I received correspondence in the mail. Would not recommend their service. Definitely not worth being charged without proper notice. Perhaps calling to confirm that I do not want a cheaper yearly plan is warranted
Absolutely mind numbingly horrific. 22 calls to customer service regarding missed appointments/erroneously re-scheduled service and a simple request for a manager to call. Over the course of 10 days and numerous requests to speak with anyone other than a call center employee, NO ONE EVER HAD THE DECENCY TO CALL!!! Then, after the needed aeration service was never done, my account was charged. It is extraordinary that a company can survive while never having the simple respect to return a call to a customer. I have tried service manager, area manager, general manager, account managers. Each time I am told I have left a message for them to return you r call in 24-48 hours and never been called. Now account has been charged. I tried corporate office and same result. I even tweeted them suggesting I try carrier pigeon form of communication if they responded to that. Each number they provide rings to the call center where they log information, say they understand my frustration and will have a manager call in 24-48 hours. Service technician are nice - managers apparently apathetic.
My lawn looks fantastic! after 36 years of struggle to have a green lawn TruGreen keeps my lawn looking great. This is our 3rd year in and I have no complaints. I have not been home when my lawn is serviced but everyone I have spoken true are very professional
Terrible service. Continuously left fertilizer on the driveway and in the sandbox, even after multiple complaints. Inconsistent technicians, some say to water the product in every time, some say no need. Grass was healthier than years past, but definitely not worth the money. Paid for a full year up front and still had billing issues throughout the year. 🤦🏻♂️

Their service is a joke! Paid them almost 500.00 and my yard doesnt look any better at all. They almost killed two areas that had newly installed sod before they started. Some of the plants in my flowerbeds are dying from something they sprayed on them. Ive tried for over a month to cancel service and they just kept scheduling services. And they DO NOT stand behind their satisfaction guarantee or your money back, which they told me over and over they would to get my business!Very, very unsatisfied X-customer!
Applications were quick and efficient. Only concern I continue to have is that small patch of lawn adjacent to the parking pad and shed (next to the sidewalk) is always neglected. The front, side and back yards are done well and service makes the lawn look good and almost weed free.
For the past 3 applications they are only fertilizing my front yard. Each time I have to call and complain. This still has not been remedied after several calls. I will no longer be a customer after this year. I ask that a supervisor call me and no does. They told me it was because of my initial saleperson but this is my second summer. Didnt have this problem until last 3 applications
I signed up for a lawn treatment plan and told the salesperson that the tech must call and confirm with me before coming out so I can okay the charge, as they automatically bill you after a treatment instead of sending a bill. A few days late a tech shows up and starts treatment without contacting me ahead of time. I was home, so I sent him away and explained that the techs need to call before coming out. This happened again several months later and that time I wasn’t home to turn the tech away so he did treatment and charged me $50. I canceled my plan after that saying I was tired of them not confirming appointments with me before charging me. I now keep getting different trugreen reps calling me to renew despite the fact that I have told everyone of them that I am not interested and to not call again!!! I changed my billing info because trugreen kept charging me without confirmation from me, I am not giving you my new billing info!! Stop calling!!!!!
I was told that there would be a technician coming out to do a application waited all day and a no show. Called customer service was told they were trying to call the technician and there was no answer. No call nothing from the technician wondering what kind of service I signed up for????
Like many people have noted, I paid for an “annual” plan up front and was told by the salesperson this would cover a year’s worth of treatments. It did not and I was billed for additional treatments without my consent. It’s a shame because I was happy with my lawn but I refuse to do business with deceptive companies.

My service includes Lawn & tree. I had the opportunity to talk to both specialists servicing my property this year. After showing my property boundaries, I feel as though my lawn in its entirety is looking much better this year.
Very friendly at each service! My yard was not growing after being with southern green for over a year. 2 months into my service with Tru green the yard has done a complete turn around. Love my yard love my company and will be a life time customer.
The timeliness is fine and the typed up summaries of what was done and any related instructions is valuable to me. My yard could look better and we are thinking of adding more flower beds in the hard to grow grass areas. It would be nice to have more info for those areas.
I told trugreen, before they even started my service, that I wanted the nicest yard in the neighbourhood, and they have succeeded! Between them fertilizing my yard and me doing my yard work, I definitely do have the nicest yard in the neighbourhood! Thank you so much!!

Cannot follow instructions. When the neighborhood has a NO SOLICITING sign at the front you would think people would read and understand. I asked the guy at my door if he saw and understood. He saw it. He understood it. But he said, I have a license. If they cant follow simple instructions like that, Im certainly not going to let them put their product on my yard.
Everything was going good and the service was doing okay. But charged by card for services they did not show up for twice. Cancelled and asked for a refund on the service. They provided the refund and stated they would still come out and do the service. However, it never happendWould not recommended.
Awesome team. Ive gotten to know the staff and I love having these guys. Ive talked to other customers who werent as happy but come to find out, they werent listening to the recommendations given by the technicians. Its not magic dust! It takes time and patience to get a lawn looking good. Highly recommend this branch!

We have been customers of Tru Green for over seven years. One of their fertilizer treatments last year left our lawn with several large burned patches. I worked with them over the last year trying to get my grass to grow back. By the end of the season, I was told it would return in the new year, but it never did. They did nothing extra to try to rectify the problem.This year they told me I had to get my lawn aerated and apply manure on the burned spots for them to fill in (at my own cost). I had scheduled a person to come out and lay some plugs the day after the aeration. By 3:00pm they had still not shown up so I called to be told that they were running late but would be there, but they never came. The same thing happened the next day, even though I requested a call when they were on their way, which I never received, yet subsequently was charged $25 for not cancelling within 24 hours.At this point I turned to their online chat and expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for someone to give me a call – I’m sure you can guess what happened then… nothing. It was much the same even after cancelling my service and calling two more times.To date I have spent $75 and several afternoons work additional on supplies based on their recommendations for the results in the pictures that I will let speak for themselves.It’s very disappointing when they do not care enough about their customers to return my calls after seven years of doing business with them. The only thing said to me throughout this ordeal was that I would lose my three person discount for prepaying for their service. What a joke. A word of warning: when things are okay, they are fine. If you have problems, however, they do not help correct anything.

Description vey hazy, thought I got 12 months of treatments so when I got a call they were coming to do a treatment within the year I didnt respond. Turns out you pay for number of treatments not months although you are told 12 months. Now Im being billed for a treatment that I didnt stop but didnt authorize either. Im in realestate and Im warning everyone I talk to not to use your company...People read these reviews some give true picture of the worst lawn care company in the business

This company is a joke, Dont use them!! I called to have them assess my lawn after it didnt recover from the winter. Thier customer service is the most frustrating group Ive ever dealt with. Upon agreeing to a contract they dont tell you when the technician will come. I had to call back 2 days later then was told he would show up on Friday between 8AM and 5PM. I wanted to be there to talk to the technician so they expected me to take the day off work. You cant contact the technician directly (company says they dont allow technicians to carry cell phones) or even call the local office. If you try to call customer service, you are directed to the national office which will provide you no help. Once the tech finally showed up he looked at the grass and had no idea what was wrong. Didnt take any soil samples are do anything but look at the grass. I complained to the company and they sent a more experienced tech to the house. His exact assessment Too much shade and the grass didnt recover from the winter. I dont have a single tree in my yard and my original reason for calling them was that my grass didnt recover.Trugreen is like a crappy personal trainer, they dont know what theyre doing and just keep trying to sell you more services. Dont waste your time or money.
Ive been trying to talk to and or see a supervisor since August and its now November and still no call or meeting. After second spraying half my yard died. They told me in September they would take soil samples! They just came last week and still no word. Until I speak with someone in authority I do not want them back at my house. If you are a true green representative reading this call me.
Worst branch in the history of stores. The branch never answers their phone. Had an appointment to get anti-fungal treatment on section of my lawn for August 3rd. Nobody ever called or came to my house. When I called customer service (they did try to help me), they told me that the technician came at 9:40-9:45. I told them that they did not because no paperwork was left behind. My 6ft fence is locked with a master lock, so he couldnt get into the back yard unless he jumped my fence. The kicker is that my wife left home during the time he claimed he was at our home and my wife didnt see anybody from TruGreen. The North Charleston branch is awful. We had Scotts Lawncare before they got bought out. TruGreen is awful. This whole thing started two weeks ago. Do not trust the North Charleston office.
Lawn is worse than it was when I moved in. Service end but they are on a auto renew which if you don’t catch that when you originally sign up you will be surprised like me when you get a bill for services you didn’t know were happening. The notes they leave on the door all day the same exact thing regardless if they talk to you or not and they apply pH adjusting materials without actually testing the pH. You cannot cancel service online, you have to call which is what these low level online subscriptions will do to you as a scam ... you can signup online, pay online etc but the only thing you can’t do is go online and cancel. Screams bogus and their service is bogus ... show me a man that can lay down 5000sq ft of lime in 2mins and I’ll show you a pig that can fly ... I wasn’t timing him but my ring shows when I answered the door (paperwork says he didn’t talk to me) and when he put the paperwork on the door ... 3mins passed and he didn’t even have the gear out yet 😂 ... I also had a service call that was absolutely never completed. I was home all day and no TruGreen people showed up to my house, no bad weather that day either. Wondering how many other times they said they were coming and didn’t show up ...
The only thing that they are interested in is making money. The lawn care is sloppy, ruched and not careful. They dont follow the proper calendar applications.

Misdiagnosis = no more lawn.I purchased the lawn service a year ago after having new sod laid. Lawn looked great for a couple months, then slowly started to brown. Trugreen diagnosed the issue as fungus and treated accordingly. Problem never got better and got worse. But the fall, 75% of the lawn was destroyed and was told another solution would be to plant a more shade tolerant grass. Finally, after 8 months of service, a dead lawn with topsoil eroded away, the sales rep came back and told me it was an insect infestation that was the original problem.As a solution, the sales rep offered to aerate the lawn for free in the spring. Unfortunately, that will do little good considering the root system is gone.After all this, I called Trugreen to cease service as I decided to drop another $2200 to resod my entire lawn. Sure enough, a month later, a tech shows up to treat my lawn. I tell him there’s no reason considering we’re gonna kill what left of the lawn as we prep for new sod. He leaves, and I get a new bill...In the end, Trugreen did more damage that good and because of ‘nature’ there is nothing they say they could do to correct my situation and I’m out $700 to them and $2200 to start over.Stay away.
I had a TruGreen rep solicit business in my neighborhood where we have a noticeable sign saying No Soliciting. He then left a paper around my doorknob and then walked through the flower bed to the neighbors yard. #firstworldproblems
At first our yard improved. However, since then it has been one hassle after another. We have given them at least 4 different chances to make it right. Calls to the office, calls to the branch manager etc. We had new sod installed ($5000) last year. Explained to the branch manager how important it would be to us to make sure it stays healthy. Right now yellow spots, a few dark brown spots and two large areas of fungus. We are done; don’t know why we even stayed this long.
I have owned my house 11 years and never had an issue with my lawn. It’s always has been beautiful and healthy. Hired trugreen to service it this year (2018) and the results are horrible!! They have destroyed my yard. Five different technicians, all with five different excuses as to what they did to ruin my lawn. They even had the nerve to blame the deviation on pets. None of which I own!!! They have not taken any ownership for destroying my yard. Now it has to be all replaced. Thanks Trugreen for the added expense!!!!
Our specialist is friendly and professional, can answer any questions that I have on occasion I had them come back after about 3 weeks and re-apply for weeds were still present. This must be a bad time for weeds, because I do still have weeds in certain areas. All in all, things seem to be ok at this time.
I have used Truegreen for 2 years now and I am seeing good results.
Disappointed with service.Signed up for one year service on August 2017 and now May 2018 I called for problems with my lawn. The lawn looks yellowish while all my other neighbors have green grass. They sent a tech to apply fertilizer. After 8 days, lawn still looks the same and they sent me a billed me for the service call. I called customer service and they said that it was consider as a billable service and offered 20% off. I paid in full when I signed up in August and it has not been a full year. This should not have been charged when when was lack of proper treatment. I will not be using TruGreen again and will not recommend them to anybody.

Had never tried their service before, but thought I would give it a shot.They said they would treat my whole yard when they came by my home, yet only did the front yard., which is very small.Zero communication from the field rep or the office.They obviously could care less about their customers.Very disappointed.would not recommend to anyone.Mt Pleasant victim
Awful experience! Dont waste your money and time on them. Just do it yourself. I had paid for my services in advance to get the discount. I had continuous issues with weeds and wanted to cancel my services in April and kept getting told let us come treat for weeds one last time well 7 times later I still had a yard full of weeds. At this point I had used all the applications I had paid for and cant get any money back. They just told me they guarantee a healthy lawn not money back. I still dont have a healthy lawn and they are unwilling to work with you!
Last experience was routine application of fertilizer. The specialist did not apply weed killer at my request because I put out new grass seed. Always good service from these guys.
I have never dealt with a company that has a total disregard for customer service like Trubrown. Lawn care tailored to your lawn is a complete joke! Same thing gets applied to all lawns. My recent experience was unbelievable. A technician came out and sprayed something on my lawn that within days turned my green lawn brown. I called their customer service four times with promises that a supervisor would be in contact with me immediately to discuss a path forward...still waiting on that call. Do not use this service, save your money and find a reputable lawn care service!

I have been calling and complaining of my dead grass since the beginning of April. I had the manager come out and look at it as I asked for it to be replaced. He verified with me that weed killer was put down twice instead of fertilizer according to my account notes. He told me to give it 3 weeks and the grass would grow back. I called exactly 3 weeks later to tell them that my grass is now further gone, they told me the manager would come out again. Instead they sent another service technician out who told me I have a drainage issue and then tried to sell me more services. I have asked multiple times to have my balance due creditied off for the service that killed my grass. They are insisting I pay them. And procede to call me weekly asking if I want additional services. I am so upset with the lack of communication from TruGreen, the poor performance of their service, and the accusation that the grass not thriving is our fault, when it is documented that they put down week killer twice. Not satisfied, and would not recommend this company.
Deceptive contract extension without my consent, unscheduled visit and then an invoice for the un-agreed to treatment. Argumentative customer service when I called to complain. Had to call back to get someone else to agree to cancel the service that I never agreed to. Read the contract very carefully. There are similar businesses that dont try to trick you into service contracts.

What a disrespectful company!!! Ive called right away to complain, a week passed by and absolutely nobody from the company called me back to solve the issue!!!!
My yard was burnt by TruGreen Lawn Care and it need to be reseeded. Im a loyal customer that has been getting the run around since my yard has been burnt. The managers are not doing their jobs. A Supervisor came out to take a look at the problem but he came out without informing me that he was coming out and didnt even give his name when he said this was an unfortunate problem that was a result of the weed treatment application that was placed in my yard. I have been a TruGreen customer for many years now and I know when the weeds are being treated and when my yard has been burnt. Im tired of getting the run around and would like to speak to a General manager or higher to come out and fix this problem. Contact me by email or call because just calling and leaving messages to be contacted by someone in 12-48 hours and you have called several times and they state they are giving these messages to a General manager is ridiculous.
After a year of treatments our lawn looked worse than when they started. Where I previously had a full lawn, we now have open patches which Im trying to fill in with grass seed. When I complained about the fact that the yard had gotten worse instead of better over the course of their treatments, I was told I probably needed to re-sod the yard. I dont give bad reviews lightly, but I am VERY unhappy with the results from this company.

My experience with them is similar to a teeth to Meredyth Headrick. seems like they are fertilizing the weed and killing the grass... visits last 3mn or less. This is a shame. Wondering how they stay in business. Never again for sure.
I hate this company, they did nothing but destroy my lawn, arrogant supervisors and never return calls, its nationwide and every time you call get a different person in a different state...I am asking for compensation for the condition of my lawn and reporting them to bbb and Angie list. ...horrible, horrible would never suggest anyone use them, I would go with lawn o green anyday....expect to lose your lawn if you choose them....
I spend more time making a PB&J sandwich than they spent on the lawn.They did their service when I was at home during lunch. When they started the service I was making a PB&J sandwich. They were gone before I even finished making lunch.So they worked on my lawn for 4-5 mins (optimistic estimate). In that time they worked on roughly 10% of what makes up my yard. About 20 feet of lawn area.Their service guy spent as much time at my door telling me he arrived than he spent working on the hard.Heres the odd part: He stopped working very abruptly, put the service tag on the front door, then was gone in the truck before I could even asked why the service was so quick. It felt very scam-ish.Quick Recap:Time spent BS-ing with me: 4 minsTime spent working on a small piece of yard: 5 mins.Total service time: 9 mins.Am I cancelling them and getting some else: You know it!Also, the positive reviews are fake. Read them, they are written in a defensive and responding tone. They should spend more time giving better service, not gaming their google reviews to stay above 1 star.
We’ve had true green for 2 years and our grass has gotten worse and worse. I’ve called, and emailed and nobody has returned either. Our yard looks horrible, and we cannot get the customer service to get in touch with us. When I emailed almost 2 weeks ago I got an automatic response saying someone would get back in touch with me within 24 hours, still waiting on that.

Misleading. I signed up for TruComplete in July 2016 to help with some lawn issues and provide weed killing and fertilization. According to TruGreens website, my lawn was to recieve a Healthy Lawn Analysis and their PhD-certified scientists tailor your plan to bring out your lawns potential. No such analysis or tailored plan was ever provided. Upon sign up, during which, potential customers beware, they will try to convince you to pay for the entire year of services up front, a technician came out, spread some fertilizer and week killer, and told me my grass would grow back in about 3 weeks. My yard had fungus. This was what needed to be resolved and what I told the representative I spoke with when ordering the TruComplete Plan. Because TruGreen did not perform a yard analysis prior to throwing down fertilizer and their subsequent lack of action on the fungus issue, large sections of the back and front yard eroded. After three weeks, I was able to get a fungicide applied (at an additional cost.) Weed and patch problems persisted. I called to request an additional visit after an application. The local manager dropped by and called me with some suggestions for things I could do for my yard. Was this not what I was paying for? A professional service to take care of and repair my lawn? TruGreen managed to stuff almost a whole years worth of treatments into 6 months with NO RESULT. Once again, I called TruGreen for them to honor the Healthy Lawn Guarantee and they told me the local manager would contact me within four days. I never heard from him. The TruComplete program and Healthy Lawn Guarantee are completely misleading. The local manager was not helpful. Their technicians do not tailor your treatment. When I called to cancel the service, the representative had the audacity to tell me she didnt understand why I wasnt taking advantage of the TruGreen resources available to me. (Having the manager return.) I would never recommend TruGreen to anyone needing lawn services.
Absolutely the worst! I would give them a half star if I could. Trugreen took over for Scotts (they purchased them) in July 2016. In their first application I noticed several areas of my lawn were missed (stripes of lighter and darker shades of green in my lawn, lighter where it was missed). No problem! I contact them to come out. 2 weeks later they come out but ignore the large brown patches in my lawn which had developed. The brown patches were a result of chinch bug. The bugs were eating my St. Augustine! All this would have normally been caught by a real lawn care service. Not Trugreen though. I then contact customer service to speak with Supervisor. Of course, none available. They tell me one will call me back. Nope, never happened! The damage had been done. I will have the re-sod parts of my lawn becuse Trugreen sucks! Avoid them like the plague.
How hard is it to understand, No Soliciting? Anyone think thats difficult?
