There are a lot of different activities, Sports Camps, and other programs at Premier Sportsplex. So, obviously your experience will vary depending on the class and the teacher. I would give five stars for the class my child took, but Im pretty sure the Google review is supposed to be for the facility.Premier Sportsplex is enormous. Bathrooms are well-maintained, air conditioning is great even during the heat of the summer. The only reason I couldnt give it five stars was that the parking lot is very difficult to navigate in a minivan because of the multitude of potholes.
My daughter does Volleyball here. It’s our first year. She did a camp with them this summer and loved it so now she is doing Fall with them too! Loves her coach too!
Brought our own folding chair for disabled grandparent (who hasnt seen grandchild play in 1.5 years because pandemic and traveled from Edmond to Norman) and were told we could not use said chair in an effort for facility to protect their gym floors (I get it: basketball courts run about 1/2 million $ a pop) but no accommodation was made? Grandparent sent away as they are unable to stand a full hour and chairs with higher weight capacity not available at this facility. And yet, see photo of how they take care of their gym floors! Floors this dirty are DANGEROUS for the athletes to play on and WILL result in an injury (perhaps not so for volleyball players, but definitely so for basketball players). Some consistency would be nice. I get that this place is a non-profit christian volleyball association but they need to hire someone that will either clean the gym floors Saturday night or be willing to skip church on Sunday to keep the basketball gym floors clean and safe.
Its a long building with multiple courts lined up. Nice cool gym. Lacks seating. It does have bathrooms and a few areas to wait before and after games.
Premier is a great facility. The staff is great. The equipment is in good condition. The facility is clean. The only reason I dont give it five stars is because of the parking lot. Now there is plenty of parking; however, anytime it rains you end up walking in muddy puddles and at night its not well lit so you cant see (or at least I cant) when youre about to walk into a muddy puddle. I try carrying my phone/flashlight with me to help avoid the mud and save my shoes. I just want people to be prepared. Only noting it to be informative. I just know to wear my black shoes when going instead of my white shoes. Easy fix. Like I said above Premier is great and I have recommended it to people for years and will continue to do so.
Nice faculty - which air cond worked a bit better!
Excellent set-up! Cant wait to get I here more often since the price ($5) is right!Highly recommend the volleyball and futsal open play!
Premier Sportsplex is spacious and the staff is courteous. If you value quality hardwood professional caliber floors then this is the venue to hold your indoor tournaments! When not hosting tournaments, this sportsplex is great for hosting a family reunion; which is what we did! They have just about any indoor sport you can think of for all ages.I would recommend visiting this facility on their open gym nights as well!
Iron building church of hoops. Nice hardwood, decent lighting, only one scoreboard, and of course, terrible refs. Ymmv
They had 1 working stall in the womens restroom and there was constantly a line of 20 plus women waiting. Parking lot was big huge rock gravel, you really had to pay attention to where you were stepping so you didnt twist an ankle. There wasnt enough parking space for the tournament.
Attended a Native American basketball tournament at this site.Great facility. Poorly signed makes it difficult to find. Address does not show up on GPS.
Great place for Youth Volleyball! If the wind didnt pick up so much dust from their gravel parking Lot Id give it 5 stars. Time for pavement?
Super clean, even the restroom! Friendly staff
Been going to volleyball tournaments here for last 4 years. place is big (court wise), has concession and plenty of parking. Do not block the mini storage, they will tow. parking lot was getting a little pot holey for my liking, so low cars be careful. bathrooms are a little small given the size of complex and a little too dirty imo. overall its a good venue for indoor sports.
Concession prices are too high (as most facilities are), but theyre nice and I love not being required to wear a mask.
Nice facility, keeps getting better.
This is a great place. The floor is nice. Nothing but a great atmosphere.
This facility takes every precaution for the safety and health care during these sickly times. Temperature checks at the door. Along spray sanitation after entry game. I ref and coach. And I have no problem accepting games or allowing my teams to play here. Thanks premier for your safety precautions. Absolutely 100% 💜 this gym.
Staff and management refuse to wear masks because they are not mandated to do so; like small children. Eight months into a global pandemic and they want to debate the science of masks! As the operators of a gym facility (high risk of exposure), wearing a mask should not be politicized. This far into a pandemic, refusing to wear a mask to keep student athletes safe is, gross negligence AND intentional misconduct. You have been put on on notice and I hope your liability insurance agent/carrier sees this review.
Horrible place for basketball tournament! On first day staff was yelling (unmasked) for spectators to move so they can disinfect?!? Not sure how that makes sense. Sinks in womens bathroom spray water ALL over your clothes which further discourages hand-washing. Second day of tournament no disinfecting or any maintenance of the courts. Courts were slippery and dangerous from mud and dust from their parking lot which is its own special disaster. Please do not host basketball tournaments at this location as they have no regard for athletes and/or spectator safety.
Fun place refs need more training but cool setup
Nichole is the best!!
Played Volleyball there for tournament. Great courts
Not enough parking & muddy on rainy days. So many ball games going on at the same time, makes it hard to tell which court has a referee blowing their whistle.
Great place to enjoy game time for the kids and clean as well.
Great location for childrens sports!
PARENTS BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS VERY POLITICAL!! THE VOLLEYBALL TEAMS ARE ALREADY MADE BEFORE YOUR KIDS EVEN TRY OUT!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!
Nice courts.
Not a place Id like to come back to. The tournament director was extremely rude on multiple occasions. Several teams commented. The lighting was horrible. The west side of the building had clear panels to let in natural light. This caused a horrible glare and made it difficult for the athletes to track the volleyball. They had huge fans on the ceiling going super fast. Early in the day the girls were blowing into their hands because it was so cold. I wore a heavy coat until after 12pm. Finally, the parking was ridiculous. It was a gravel lot that desperately needed refreshing. There were huge puddles and red mud everywhere.
Nothing too crazy.... but, I was not impressed by the slow service and somewhat hostile greeting i was met with.
Great place to watch sporting events and clean
Incredible people, friendly environment, and nice facility. Im impressed with this place
Horrible place to attempt to play basketball. I have been here over the last 3 years on separate occasions and always the same consistent unorganized staff, horrible scheduling, officials who would rather argue with spectators than officiate the game, scorekeepers who forget their job of keeping score and unsanitary facilities. I would never recommend playing here. Play at the ymca they at least benefit the community. This place is a joke. Its pointless to speak to the TD. Ill save my breath and $$ and play elsewhere. When you rent it out to incompetent TDs it can affect your facilities reputation. IF you care about that then maybe consider the quality of the people who you rent out to and not just making a buck.
Love volleyball, my granddaughter just started playing. Very clean, friendly staff.
I coach a basketball team and we rent one of their courts once a week. The gym is nice and not overly packed. It does take them a little bit of time to get the court set up, but thats just part of it when the court is used for multiple sports.
Was able to social distance even with 4 games going on
If you have to watch girlfriends kids play. Why not here?
Slow service and not friendly. Figures.
Love this place! The staff are helpful, friendly, and approachable. Positive atmosphere and it’s just amazing to see what they’ve done with this place in a relatively short amount of time. 🏐💕
Very chaotic, refs were tertible
Dirty floors on court and cold in gym
Rest rooms are clean. Area is kept clean. Crowded, yet flows around courts. Lots of provided seating.
Great facility and run by excellent owners. Theyve really made a functional and clean sportsplex from an old industrial hanger. Lots of room, bright interior and great floor (which if you play volleyball, basketball, etc. You know the importance of that!). Dance studio, batting cages, snack bar, and more are all part of Premiere.
Great place to participate in sports activities. Clean well kept facility and owners are some of the nicest folks Ive met.
This place is the worst place to play volleyball! They pick what rules they want to follow, they have no line guards so they make bad calls, they dont pay attention to the scoring so they will short a team points. They let them redo serves they mess up on even though these are middle schoolers. We will definitely not be coming back!
Great condition as far as the courts for Volleyball. Pricey as far as league fees, then whacks you admission to watch your kid play. Curious about the wristbands as they INSIST they put it on for you. Me being a decendent of sasquatch Ive got hair arms and placing the sticky wrist band on me results in naked patches of fur from ripping it out.
Weve played volleyball tournaments at this facility 2 years in a row. Good venue, new floor recently.. Its out of the way in the country and the parking restrictions are weird because of the storage business next door. There is no seating the facility so you have to bring your own chairs, the concession is sparse and they do not allow team coolers inside. The people who run it are very kind.
Held grandsons birthday party here. Kids had a blast!
Gym basketball goals need to be over head not the floor model
Not much to say...poorly ran tournaments, hot and dirty. Recently replaced the floor which was a great improvement over the old floor...but its still about the worst courts youll play on in the central Oklahoma area.Gate fee is $10...guess they need to pay for the new floors.
Very nice facility, yet hot and humid as h*** no air blowing at all from anywhere. It was a very uncomfortable experience to sit through for three basketball game in the month of July. I know that they can do better with the money that they make.
Premier is a great facility with an amazing staff of coaches that not only train outstanding athletes but also instill the type of positive character traits that these athletes should maintain as individuals throughout their lives.
This place I super nice!!!!! 1st class equipment and coaching
Pretty cool place
Played a volleyball tournament here this weekend. This place has no A/C in August! We were completely soaked from sweat and actually had to go outside to get a breeze to try to cool off since the facility is metal with poor ventilation! We also got told that because we were changing shirts and trying to dry out our jerseys between matches (once again, must have been 110 inside) and apparently taking off a sweat-soaked jersey is considered nudity and is prohibited in this facility. The lighting is poor, good luck to setters trying to track a volleyball. I have played in tournaments all over the place and this is by far the worst facility I have ever played in. Teams collectively told the tournament directors we will no longer attend unless they find a new facility. Poor management, poor facility, poor experience all-around.
The teenage girl that ran the bounce house was great with every single child and helped them if they struggled getting on a toy. She is very observant and my son had the greatest time.
Not impressed at all. No room for parents to sit without being in the way. No walk ways. First time I’ve EVER had to pay admission to see my daughter play club volleyball. Ridiculous for as much as is paid to play in these tournaments. So glad this is not a facility we will frequent.
Love playing volleyball.
Nice new facility for volleyball and other sports. Parking could be better but it looks like theyve added more this season.
Nice sports center, somewhat of a drive
The sportsplex is nice but it would be nice if they would pave there driveway and Mark parking spots.also the restrooms could use entry doors and its not kept up with supplies sometiMrs you have to take your household spray .
The air conditioning wasnt ready yet and it was just a little hot other than that it was great
I think its terribly sad when our leagues pay good money to play here but they have to go outside in this freezing weather to eat while the Premier girls have a room in the facility. Not only unprofessional but unkind to the young ladies.
Had issues with a referee but overall the place was amazing... 8 courts, an indoor soccer field, a gymnasium, upstairs indoor track and workout center.... Very clean!
Not requiring mask and not cleaning between games!!!
Very nice facility. Needs more separation between courts so you can know whos whistle is yours
Thanks for the sharing. We attend this weekend for the first time.
Safe place for organza sports, yet a little tight on space.
All about kids sports! Beautiful new hardwood courts. Volleyball xs 8, basketball xs 4 and footsal xs 4. They have adult teams playing too. Full concessions during tournaments and league play.
Vball tourney. Limited parking, some in mud/water. Gate ran out of change, consession kept running out of food, line out womens restroom all day, laminate flooring with tape on it, no paid refsTemp wasnt bad, girls still had fun.
Nice
Love this place but the volleyball is just expensive.
Need place inside to set up table for the kids. instead they make them set up outside in the loading docks when it’s 19 degrees.
Here for a volleyball tournament, and its hot as h***. Zero air flow. Probably wont be returning to this location in the future
Great place.
Bad planning for tournament
Great sports complex, especially for youth.
Had several courts and easy access
Great coaches and great atmosphere!
They need to redo their floors. Too many dead sports on the basketball court.
Great staff and very accommodating
Big and clean
No place for tournament girls to eat but outside in the loading dock for trailers.....
Pretty good place!!
Awesome facility!
Outstanding arene
Great people
