With only an hour notice we are so happy we were able to help you with your evaluation and for the hair cut he still loves it and says she will be the only one to do his hair from now on thanks again Paul Mitchell school for allowing Ashley Crosby to have a blast and cut my hubby’s hair

Had my hair cut and dyed here for the past 3 years. It is affordable and hair teachers are available to help the students if they are unsure.

I had so many issues with this place. It was all fine until we came back after covid hit. There was a lot of stuff i was promised I would learn by graduation and never learned. They told me they were going to offer classes to the graduates that didn’t earn these things and 3 months after graduation I have not heard one word. The director does not do anything to help students with problems at the school, and most of the time you can’t even find her or she’s locked away in her office. I’ve never heard of such a “professional” school being so bad. Can’t tell you how many times I had issues with staff or “miscommunications”. The students are amazing and so sweet but staff is the complete opposite.I have a friend who is still in school who has said things are not getting any better and are actually getting worse. Absolutely do not recommend unless things actually change.

Had hair done by stylist Breann absolutely amazing! Love the color!! The teacher there, Monica, was so great, I listened as she taught with words of encouragement to all the stylist. Positive place and experience!!

This place is VERY DISHONEST.I was told to pay late fee charges out of my fasfa checks during the school year to avoid overtime charges building up because it would keep me from graduating if I didnt have the fees paid before graduation and that the fees would come directly out of my fasfa checks and at the end of the year if i had no over times fees the money would come back to me. all was very true until I graduated and they told me I wouldnt get any of the money i paid during the year back. the reason they said was because this process never happened IF ANYONE ELSE IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING SIMILAR PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME. i should also add during my time here I have much proof of the time system glitching and adding absent hours to everyones schedules. i spent many hours arguing my time and each time there was a mistake in the system. if i hadnt said anything like many others said nothing the problem would have never gotten fixed. 20 thousand dollars was not worth going to this school. i have always admired Angus Paul for what he did to be where hes at, but i do not recommend anyone attend this school to be took advantage of!!

I loved the student that did my hair. Isabelle was very attentive. Her instructor was awesome. Taletha is an awesome teacher. I bought the VIP pass for $25 which includes free haircuts for a year and 50% off all other services. Cant wait to get a facial for 50% off when they start up again with them. They are doing haircuts and stuff now.

This school is one of the best. Youll love the culture here, as well as how in depth your learning is. Also, there are plenty of students for you to come get your hair a mani or pedi, a facial, etc. I love it here!

Really concerned about this partner school. Have left several messages with no return calls. Daughter is a student with attendance issues. Plan of action was discussed with Leanne Heck 2 weeks ago. Following week it was not honored. Daughter waited today from 8:30am until 1:33 to see this advisor with 0 response.Im not sure who runs this facility (spoke with several students and theyre not sure either), but not a proper way to conduct business.Called Board of Cosmetology to get assistance in this matter as well.Irony is, my daughter still loves this place

Tuition is an outstanding price for the poor quality products and tools that we receive, dress code is only enforced to certain individuals, and the best thing going for the school is the barber instructor!

Would not recommend anybody at all going to this place. Tried to get my daughter not to attend but she did anyways. Leann Heck is a very rude and condescending person. I went there years ago and had to stop going because my oldest daughter was dying of cancer and Leann had the nerve to send me nasty messages about my attendance. My youngest daughter was going till she started having stomach issues and we tried to get a leave of absence but they refused her one, then out of nowhere last week they kicked her out. I guess I need to call the board of cosmetology and have them go in and see what is going on.

I recommend this for anyone who wants to help build students into amazing stylists. It is less expensive than a salon and you get to help others too. I received a cut and the student and instructor worked together to get it just right. It was the first time this cut has ever been perfect.It is a school, so be kind and patient because it may take longer than the people who have been doin it for years.

This is a great place to visit. I bought a groupon and brought my daughters and son and we all got cuts. They take a longer time than most visits to the salon due to the fact that this is a school and the students are checking with their teachers. We chose upper level students to do our hair and they really tried to listen and pay attention to what we wanted and checked often with their instructors to be sure they were doing everything right. They also styled our hair and did nice work. If you are extremely particular or need a master cut, maybe go with your seasoned professional... but for a summer trim its a great venue for sure. There were several people getting their hair colored and I remember thinking that because of the cost difference if I were still a college student or strapped for cash this would be the place to go. If you are a male and want a super short cut, they do not buzz you. They only use scissors and cut, not clippers. We were told this is because theyre teaching them to do cuts.

Ive been there two or three times and have always been very happy with the results. Im a bit ADD so I dont like to sit that long but the price is outstanding for the quality of work. The process is closely watched by a professional. Certainly worth a try.

I am a student here and I LOVE the POSITIVE atmosphere. All of the teachers take the time to make sure you are grasping the concepts that at being taught. I recently moved here from Mississippi and I dont know anyone. They have made me feel so welcome. I would absolutely recremend this school to anyone wanting to leave school feeling confident in their skills and salon ready.

I came in not really knowing what I wanted. Sydney talked to me about different options, and was really receptive to any feedback I had every step of the way. She gave me a cut I truly like that was out of the ordinary for me, but it works. Before she made any dramatic cuts she would make sure i was ok with it, which was nice since I was losing a lot of length but was a little nervous. She took the time to get it right, and adjusted anything I was unsure of. Afterward she asked her instructor to come over and check her work. She made some corrections that I hadnt really noticed were necessary, but Im happy with end result and it was cool seeing the process and hearing it explained. Sydney is also just really pleasant- I typically hate haircuts, but she puts you at ease from the shampoo to the blow dry. I was actually getting drowsy by the end- no yanking hair or awkward forced conversation (which is usually the standard, and at a higher price). There were comfortable silences (which is so nice!), good conversation, AND I even left not covered in clippings. Seriously, she cuts things away from your face. Seems simple and obvious but no, Ive left plenty of hairdressers with my face peppered with clippings. Its gross. Overall, awesome experience and Im sad she wont be there in a few months. Crazy awesome bargain.

Tory gave me a haircut on Friday and she did wonderful! She is extremely sweet, gave me a stress relief hair massage, and provided all of the care she could to ensure that my experience was precise. My hair turned out beautiful thanks to her!

I went to Norman to get my hair cut by TRACI DAVIS, she did a great job, I was very pleased with it.Today I went back to get a facial from TRACI DAVIS, AND AGAIN SHE DONE AN AWESOME JOB. If I would have been sleepy, she undoubtably would have put me to sleep, it was SO relaxing. Thank you for doing such a great job training her.

I loved coming here to get my hair done so much that I decided to come to school here. Its a great family of instructors and a great curriculum! Love it so much!

I will NEVER go back there ---I went in for a haircut and highlight on my shoulder-length light brown hair. I told the student, Crystal, I wanted blond highlights and showed her three photos of haircuts I liked that had layers and lots of height to the top of the head. I told her I wanted about 1/3 to 1/2 of my hair highlighted. Instead, she only highlighted the sides--she didnt do the top or bottom of my hair--and she made them just one shade lighter brown than my hair. I kept asking her and her instructor if the highlights would be blond and they kept saying yes, but when she was done, I couldnt even see where she highlighted and neither could my daughter who was in the chair right next to me. Then, she only cut one inch off the bottom of my hair--didnt even touch the top part where I wanted layers and height. I was totally disappointed in both my cut and my highlights. But thats not all. For some strange reason, the students would line up against the wall and dance every so often with music blaring. It reminded me of how restaurants have their wait staff sing Happy Birthday to someone when its their birthday but instead of singing, they lined up and danced. I asked the girl cutting my daughters hair why they danced and she said it was part of their schools culture. What the heck? AND on top of all this, the instructor was extremely unprofessional in her appearance with a green mohawk and clothing with pot-leaves on them. (wearing pot-leaves on the job??) She looked like she just crawled out of bed, grabbed dirty clothes off the floor, and put them on. When I told the instructor and the girl cutting my hair that I couldnt even tell my hair had been highlighted, they both ignored me and kept saying how great my hair looked. What a waste of time. My daughter was unhappy with her hair cut and manicure, saying she could have done a better job herself. And my sweet 91 year-old friend, who I also brought in for a hair cut and a manicure, was also unhappy she had to sit in a chair for almost 4 hours! This place is a joke.

I love Paul Mitchell in Norman. It is a great energetic atmosphere with wonderful educated learning leaders that help from start to finish on any hair style or cut. I wish it were possible to give negative stars. If you have long hair, do not go here, no matter how simple what you want done to it is. I had one bad experience, was given a refund & a card to come try again, & had an equally terrible experience the second time, but this time with a supposedly more advanced phase 2 student. Both times I was sent home FOUR HOURS later with damp hair that still had dye in it. And on the second occasion the manager was much less courteous & essentially just told me that it was on me for choosing to go to a hair school. I know the price is tempting, but just save up & avoid this nightmare. At the very least, if you do go, clear your schedule completely & be prepared to be there for 4+ hours.

Had made an appointment to get my sisters hair cut on a family and friends week. They didnt call me until 2 hours before my appointment to tell me that they couldnt do it for me and Id have to call full price. When I called to make the appointment someone shouldve informed me that this sort of thing could happen. I had already pulled my sister out of school and was about to drive almost and hour there before they decided to call and let me know that they had already just cancelled my appointment and given it to someone else.
