This place is chill and relaxed as can be. Walk-in only and cash only. I’m a bald dude so I always feel funny going in, but they take great care of me as if I had a full head of hair.

Today was my first time going to Midway Barbershop for a hair cut and I honestly loved it. From the staff to the atmosphere. Jim was awesome, held great conversations while delivering a more than solid hair cut at the same time. Just all around good/genuine people. Will definitely be going back, and recommending to friends as well.

Midway Barbershop is one of a few barbershops I have visited in the Norman area and it is by far my favorite. They are friendly, professional, and give great haircuts! I have really liked the way my hair looks after visiting their establishment.

Midway has history and with certain employees you can see it shine through. Chris is very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable of haircuts. Great mannered gentleman with a flair old time barbers should have. Great place to stop on your lunch break if there isnt too long a line. Cheap and done the old fashioned way with dignity. Highly recommend for gentlemen.

I took my 6 yr old there. The men working are very social. They give a good haircut! The place needs a womans touch. It has dust from the 70s behind the coke machine. It really needs to be cleaned. Other than that I have no complaints and will be a repeating customer. I might bring a duster next time I come tho.

Everyone else is appointment only, being from out of town they got me in right away and got the job done.

My barber left me in the chair for 10+ minutes and came back stinking of alcohol. He cut my neck when he did the razor shave on the neck. This is not the same place it used to be

This place is a hidden treasure! I walked in and was greeted immediately with a smile. Everyone was super friendly and I had the best haircut I’ve had in years. They even do the razor neck shave with hot lather and I didn’t even know that existed. 10/10 would recommend. The barber who cut my hair was Kristen/Kristin(not sure on the spelling) and she was super professional and thorough. Check it out. You won’t regret it!

Only ever had one bad trim there. Trouble is, they are usually busy or not open when I can get there. They also seem to go through barbers pretty quickly.

I found my new barbershop. The guys are friendly. Everything has a great antique look and theyre playing 90s punk rock. It smells like barber heaven. The prices super reasonable. Its just a fun environment here. Little boys, old guys, and young men are filling up the place here.

Been coming to this barber shop for a few years now and I wont go elsewhere. Service is excellent, staff is knowledgeable, up to speed and super friendly. Just about everyone I know uses this place and I have never heard anything bad about them. Its cash only, no appointments, first come first serve. If you dont have an hour or two to wait for a great cut you may want to find someplace else or come back early on a Saturday morning. You better be ready to be there at 8 cause at 9 you wait. This shop is also part of historic Norman and is on the haunted list and ghost tour. Pretty sure its the oldest barbershop in Norman as well. You can tell by the way it is.

This is the only place I get my hair cut. Simple in and out type, cash only shop. They always listen well, and get the cut right. As someone who is picky, I very much recommend this place!

This shop has such a cozy, lovely vibe that makes you feel so welcome and relaxed. Krystal gives the best haircuts in the greater OKC metropolitan area, too, bar none. The time she takes and care she puts into your haircut will make you leave feeling like a new person. Definitely worth the drive, wherever you’re coming from. Possibly the best shop I’ve ever been to.

My co worker told me about this place. I was not sure what to get but Kristen worked with me. She fixed me up with no problems. She had an ideal and ran with it. I definitely will be back.

Great barber shop! They are detail people who do good work. I always get a good cut. I came back once a couple hours after leaving because I was not happy. They fixed my hair immediately and at no charge. My only complaint is the short line of customers before me, but another barber usually appears to shorten the wait. The line is longer around lunch time most days and never more than 20 minutes in my experience.

Great little place. Went in to see if they could straight razor my scalp and face and they did not disappoint. While they missed a few light patches of hair, the experience was so great that I definitely plan to see them again.

I asked the barber to only touch up my fade because the top of my hair was really easy to comb. Instead the barber gave me a fohawk. Definitely didn’t ask for a fohawk. Only reason I gave two stars instead of one was the fade itself was actually really good and I liked how he used a razor to edge everything up. The wait time for me was close to an hour.

First time I ever came to midway it was so busy I had to wait an hour and eventually had to leave because I had other appointments. But the 3 stars isnt because the wait. My 2nd time coming in to midway I had a female barber named Krystal. I absolutely loved how she cut my hair. 5 star haircut from her. My 3rd time ever coming to midway, I came in and all the barbers were busy. I decided to wait on Krystal, another barber became free while Krystal was still with a customer.So I didnt want to get a cut from another barber but the other lady barber made me feel pressured and almost as if I were being rude by not wanting a haircut from her. That made me uncomfortable, so I just agreed to get my haircut from her. She is a older woman with darker hair. Maybe in her 40s. Not knowing how it would turn out I trusted this other woman. She was nice to talk to but she did a lot of talking and made my haircut take way longer than it should have. Plus she didnt cut it how I liked or as short as I liked and she cut my skin a couple times with a straight razor. I would have stayed longer to have her correct her work but I didnt have time. So that was very frustrating. Never had a barber use a straight razor until Krystal at midway but now that Ive been cut a few times by the second woman it makes me a little nervous to have someone use one on me in the future. The other lady seems like a nice person. I just really want to stick with one barber. Other than that, my experience with Krystal was a 5 start experience. I will be back. Its very inconvenient that it is walk in only. I would give midway more of my buisness and my family and friends buisness but you cant schedule appointments. Its a great place but nothing is perfect. Maybe my next experience will be as good as the 2nd one. Midway is still worth trying.
