I have been going to Sophie consistently for almost 2 years for both haircuts and beard trims. I have driven over an hour at times because I refuse to go anywhere else. When I use to get my haircut elsewhere, it seemed every barber I went to was always inconsistent. Sometimes they would do a good job sometimes they would not. And that got very frustrating. Until I found Sophie! She’s given me the best haircuts of my life back to back to back to back to back. It’s always the same and always the way I like it. Not only are the haircuts amazing but just the conversation with her while you’re getting your haircut is great as well. I was looking around for a new barber and came across Sophies page on Instagram. I like that I can easily schedule appointments online and even though I usually show up 10-15 minutes early, shes always ready for me. Sophie and the others barbers are really professional and have a friendly banter which makes it inviting. Its also a very diverse shop (from the barbers to the clients), which I like. I definitely recommend!

Really bad! Once I enter the store I wait for someone to cut my hair,no body payed attention to me everyone there was ignoring me, dont go there!!

Cool place but way too casual. They don’t have a front desk, walked in with 3 barbers working with customers. I was stood there for like 10 mins without anybody care to ask. And their background music is way too loud. Louder than a club or bar.I asked a regular haircut, and it costs nearly 40 bucks. Usually I always get the same haircut for 20 something with my hair washed.Will not come back.

What a horrible establishment. My husband just got back from waiting in their barber shop for 1.5-2 hours with no one saying a word to him. They all knew he was sitting there and no one acknowledged him. Some customers asked a barber if he was going to cut my husbands hair right in front of him and told them no and continued to pack up their items, while the other barbers packed up their things as well. He finally got up and walked out of there... once again not acknowledge.My husband is not one for confrontation and wont say anything, but I sure will.Take your business somewhere else and do not spend your money here!!! Learn customer service!! This place needs 0 stars.

$20 for a basic kids hair cut. I wouldn’t mind If it wasn’t cut uneven. He got a low fade and some parts were longer than the other.

When I entered the barber shop not one barber greated me or ever acknowledged me the entire time I waited. It was fairly busy when I first started waiting so I chalked up their unprofessional attitude to what I guessed was inexperience. There are signs that read plainly Walk ins accepted, but when I walked in I was completely ignored. After an hour and a half of waiting I tried to get the attention of a barber sitting in his chair playing on his phone and he gave me the impression that I was bothering him. Ive heard Scissorhands over the years on sports talk and was excited to finally try out his shop. Big disappointment. Would not recommend for walk ins at all.

Unprofessional would be the best word to describe this establishment. I called on Tuesday at 5:54 and the gentlemen who answered the phone said they stop taking walk ins at 6. No big deal, so the next day I walk in at 5:30. Nobody greeted me so I greeted the barber closest to me and I asked him where the signup sheet was at. He said “just have a seat and someone will help me.” I sat there for 45 minutes until... he played favorites and picked out a guy that walked in after 6 and who walked in after me!

As I was next door picking up dinner for this evening I had called to see about getting my son an appointment to get his haircut hes four. When I call mind you Im sitting outside of it looking into the barbershop. I call tall light skin guy answers the phone and tell me that no one thats currently there does childrens hair however there was a short guy that had a child in his chair. He said that I needed to speak with someone named Alyssa and then started laughing. Now my oldest son has been getting his haircut there for over a year so I have spent a pretty penny in there. My personal opinion this is not professional I run a lot of businesses and theres no way in the world I would treat a customer like this especially one that is a repeat customer. I also have a lot of friends they go there to get their childrens haircut. So I was blatantly lied to. Looks like Ill be finding a new Barber Shop

Fadenup is a great place to get your hair cut in my opinion. Sophie my barber here at the norman location and does a great job and is super consistent with her haircuts and carries out conversations while building a one on one relationship with her clients. These guys work as if there was no pandemic going on. I open the door and found the room to be crowded with around 30 individuals not wearing a mask at all. I went there to cut my hair, not to get a virus. No surprise that Norman, OK is in the red for COVID-19 cases.

Good haircuts, but bad customer service.Ive been there a total of five times and do not plan on coming back here again. The first time I went, I scheduled and appointment. I arrived at my scheduled time, only to be told that they do walk-ins and had to wait about 30-45 minutes until I could get my hair cut.The second time, I came in with two friends, one of which who also made an appointment and was told that we didnt have to make an appointment, while denying the fact that anyone had received a call about an appointment.The third time was with a friend and we did not have to wait as long for her to get taken for a cut. However, one of the employees started acting very inappropriate towards her and tried flirting with her and asking her out, and even went as far as asking her if she drinks or smokes and saying, We dont usually get a lot of pretty girls in here. This made her very uncomfortable and the same employee even asked me about her when I went in the weekend after.The fourth time I went in, I had to wait about 30 minutes to get my hair cut, but I had no problems with the person cutting my hair and gave her a generous tip afterwards.The last time I went, the same friend and I walked in and waited for over an hour to be taken for a cut. The employees saw us walk in and sit down and ignored us the whole time we were there and were even taking people who came shortly after us, again, not acknowledging us, even as we were leaving.Unless youre a football player, a regular, or a close friend of one or more of the employees, you wont have very many problems here. They do a good job with haircuts, but they dont follow through with their appointments and be prepared to wait an hour or two for a 50/50 chance to get your hair cut and possibly be treated inappropriately and unprofessionally.

When you go to Fade N Up Norman go see Boogie. Boogie is an awesome barber. Boogie cuts my son’s hair. He is prompt, friendly and gives a great haircut. My son is happy each time he gets out of Boogie’s chair.

Never let Boogie touch your head. I have come here a couple times and I thought finally I had found where all the good barders in Norman were. Everyone in here was highly professional and light hearted, except Boogie. The whole time he was cutting my hair he was talking on the phone, and not really paying any attention to what he was doing. I left the shop looking like I was about to go meet Chris Hansen after the cut he gave me. I highly recommend every single person in that shop, except Boogie. He did not do a single thing I asked when it came to my hair, and beard, and I had to go to another barber to have it fixed. I ended up just shaving it all down to grow everything back out because it was literally that bad. If Boogie never cut another head it would be too soon. Every single other person in that shop is a master of their craft. Dont let Boogie cut your hair.

Ive been a client of Krystal for over a year now. I like a super clean high, and tight. Ive found nobody that does a better job of this. Ask for the razor fade if you like it super short. Krystal is a super nice and personable barber. Her attention to detail is second to none, because of this it might take a little longer. But if youre not in a rush its well worth it.The shop as a whole is large enough to where you wont feel crammed in. Very clean and the staff is always friendly.

I came here looking for a barber for my son whose a toddler. After going to numerous barbers and looking for someone that had patience and was great at cutting hair we found Chief at Fade N Up. My son was comfortable with him and he was extremely patient with my son through out the entire process. If youre looking for a barber I highly recommend calling or stopping in and asking for Chief!

Very talented barbers....But unfortunately some of them are rude and not very friendly. Me and my boyfriend called before going in and asked if they do walk ins they said yes. When we got there we ended up waiting an hour and a half (which is understandable it was busy) but they kept excepting other walk ins, so when we finally asked someone if they did walk ins incase we misunderstood them on the phone or maybe had to make an appointment since we had been siting and waiting for an hour and a half they blew us off basically and then finally answered us and said they have some appointments already set up for the day. So very confusing, they really need to get their scheduling together And not tell pple they aren’t excepting call ins so pple aren’t waiting an hour and a half.

The guys really know what they’re doing. They cut all kinds of hair (black or white). Pricing is reasonable, $15 for regular. Highly recommend if you live in Norman and not sure where to go

I was a walk-in on a Friday and needed a good fade for drill and a funeral came in and Spencer took awesome care of me gave me a great low razor fade and honestly was the best fade I’ve gotten since I got out of the Marine Corps wait time was practically nothing definitely will be coming back and getting another one when I need it

I have been to a lot of places to try and get my beard done. It is hard to get someone to line it up and not butcher the length. The length is very important to Muslims like me. Sophia McKee had this on point

I dont want to throw everyone under the bus. Specifically Boogie is who provided the odd service. We didnt have much time in our schedule for the haircut, so we planned to get there right as they opened. Unfortunately, this man was 10 minutes late. He rolls up and backs into the spot right next to us and hits my mirror with his door as he is getting out. No apology or even the slightest of acknowledgment that it even happened. The look of shock on his face when we walk into the store a few moments later.... We decided to not get the haircut because of the timeframe he gave us for how long it would take him to work on the other gentlemen who also was waiting for him to arrive. If he wouldve started this mans haircut right at 9 we wouldve had time! I didnt even get to ask him if we get a discount for the car ding! No obvious damage to the car but was planning on asking him lol (I would like to mention that the first time we went here we had a great experience and a great haircut from a different barber. He took his time and was very precise!)

It’s not always easy for a woman to walk into a barber shop - it can be a little intimidating. But not at this place. It was awesome to find 2 women working here as well - Chrystal and Kristin (sp?) both do full haircuts and fade work. Kristin trimmed up my side shave and I was in and out quickly. I travel full time so it was great to find a barber shop that was so relaxed and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks for being a barber shop that caters to men and women!

He is extremely professional, he was ready for me at our appointments & he is not a barber that “ stops to talk,” with the other barbers or clients when he’s cutting hair.
