We celebrated my grandmother’s 80th birthday at the Carlyle House with 100 guests. Our experience was top notch. Gerise was easy to work with and made all of the planning stress-free. The food was delicious! The venue was beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely consider this venue again for future family events!

I loved everything about The 173 Carlyle House: the owners, the beautiful lay out of the house, the staff, the list goes on and on. Gerise and Meerka made my wedding reception very special. They were very professional, responsive, and creative. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future events!

All I can say is wow! This venue was amazing from start to finish. Gerise was the best at assisting my plan my wedding in less than 3 weeks! My original venue cancelled on us because Covid. Gerisewas calm even through a mini bridezilla moment I had from the stress! She was able to help my bridal party coordinate our rehearsal and even remembered what songs the DJ was supposed to play and corrected him when he played the wrong one. All my guests were raving about the food and great service they received and how beautiful the venue was. We had a great experience and would recommend this venue to everyone!

We had our wedding reception at The 173 Carlyle House on March 27, 2021. Words cannot describe how absolutely AMAZING everything was! Working with Gerise was a breeze and she made everything so easy for us. I dont think most wedding food is good, but the food was unbelievable- we are still getting compliments on how good the food was! The bartenders were great and handled our party of 225 no problem! The bourbon bar was a HUGE hit. Everything at The 173 Carlyle House was so immaculately clean and beautiful. Everything was better than we ever couldve imagined. The location was perfect for taking pictures in Downtown Norcross and Lillian Webb Park. We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, the staff, and the food. We will recommend The 173 Carlyle House to everyone!

We had our wedding at the Carlyle House in June 2019. We absolutely loved this venue, the affordability, and how intimate it made our wedding feel. We had a rather large wedding (200+ guests in attendance) and it still felt spacious. Gerise was helpful throughout the process in answering out questions, but she was most helpful on the day-of (and at the rehearsal) with coordination. We got ready at separate locations and came to the venue for pictures. The nearby park is wonderful for pictures if the weather is nice. The only issue that we had is that we did not have quite enough seats for our wedding guests, but that could have been easily avoided had we planned better, forecasting that some additional people would show that were not reflected in the RSVPs. We would definitely recommend the Carlyle House for your special day!

Oh my! What a wonderful experience!! Our daughter’s wedding venue was cancelled only 50 days out from the date. A friend suggested 173 Carlyle House. From the first call with Gerise, I knew we were in great hands! We were able to get a date on the same weekend as the original date. Gerise was so professional, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly and fun. The food was PHENOMENAL. Everybody just loved it! The service by the staff was professional and so friendly. The venue itself is fabulous with incredible Southern charm. Frankly our whole family is so happy that our original venue fell through because you literally could not find a more perfect place to get married!!

Gerise was great to work with and very accommodating to our needs! Beautiful grounds with much to offer, and at a good price. We had a great reception here!

The Carlyle House was incredible for our November wedding! The setting was exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding with the charm of the Old House and the beautiful front porch. We had our ceremony outside and Ive been getting so many comments on how beautiful it was with the Fall leaves in the background. Gerise was there throughout the months leading up to answer any questions we had and provide us with the best advice. She was extremely helpful in making sure everything was set up just how we wanted it for the day of. The food was absolutely amazing; our guests raved about it (especially the southern grits bar). It was so convenient that everything was made right in house, so we never needed to worry about finding a caterer. Same with the cake, which my husband and I are still talking about. I could not recommend the 173 Carlyle House enough to anyone looking for a beautiful venue filled with classic charm!

My wedding at Carlyle House was a dream and its all thanks to Gerise. She was sure to answer my many questions promptly and thoroughly and handled all of the decor setup the day of. The venue is stunning - from the ballroom chandeliers, to landscaping, to the architecture of the home - my husband and I could not have asked for a more beautiful venue. Because of the staff at Carlyle House, we were able to celebrate the best night of our lives with our closest family and friends.

My sister had a wedding there yesterday morning. Gerise is an extremely rude and cold host. She made my sister feel like her wedding was not as important as it should be. Instead of helping decorate as per her contract states she would, she was giving TOURS of the venue to others. The lack of respect is just appalling considering the amount of money paid to be there. Please save your time and money and find someone with a good attitude.

All I can say is amazing! My daughter had the wedding of a lifetime at Carlyle House. The food and facility were simply amazing. Gerise walked me through all the planning and answered the phone every time I called. They even made a special menu the evening of for a family member who was allergic to fish. Great venue for a wedding. We were guests last weekend and really enjoyed it! Great versatile space between the pouches, outdoor patio, various small rooms and a great sized ballroom. The food was really quite good for an event this size. Also the staff was SUPER attentive! The were constantly replacing food, drinks, and clearing tables. Never did the tables feel cluttered with dirty dishes.Also, their A.C. in the ballroom was able to keep up with the August heat. It was very comfortable. So often at wedding it is unbearably hot at receptions, not the case here.As a guest I would highly recommend.

Gerise and William do an incredible job - we had them cater our Christmas party this year and got incredible compliments on the quality of the food as well as the beautiful set-up and presentation. We have also been to events at their location and they do not disappoint! Highly recommend!

The 173 Caryle House made our wedding dreams come true! We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at the 173 Carlyle House and felt as if it was ¨our house for the entire weekend.Gerise and her staff were incredible! They work with your budget (big or small) and they easily accommodate your needs. I highly recommend you come check them out in person and you will see why they such great folks to work with.

Beautiful wedding venue in downtown Norcross within walking distance of local restaurants and bars! Parking is available within a reasonable walking distance and the venue has everything you would need for a great reception.

This was a beautiful event location. Quaint yet able to be modernized. Staff were all courteous and professional. Food was very good.

Our company decorated a wedding there and the venue onsite manager was very kind and helpful. The venue was very clean and well maintained and we loved providing florals for the couple

Decided go there because it was close by and I had to kill some time; I was so glad I did. Had no idea it was connected to the PBS series Mercy Street, that was an added bonus. The history of the house was interesting and it offered facinating information on medical care during the Civil War.

Our daughters January wedding here was amazing. We ended up having a ice storm wedding and it went off without a hitch thanks to the amazing work of Gerise, the venue coordinator. The food was incredible - we had choices of filet, chicken and salmon and each was really well prepared and melt in your mouth good. We also ordered the assorted dessert tray - each pastry was sinfully good. The venue itself is gorgeous - a beautiful house with chandeliers and beautiful settings for photos. And, we were allowed to bring photos and other decor to personalize it. Finally it all was very reasonably priced and Gerise really helped us stay within our budget.A friend is looking at venues with her daughter and I again realize how lucky we were to find this place. They have reported horror stories of other coordinators being rude and unresponsive. Those stories make me realize how truly lucky we were to work with Gerise - a consummate professional. The bottom line is that if you have a chance to book your wedding here, do it!

The customer service is very bad, I was desperate looking for a place to get married and when I got to ask for information Gerise was very rude and not attentive to me and my family.

I have performed various repairs for the Carlyle house and the Livery house further down the street. I am amazed to see their capability and how beautiful everyone always looks and its so nice there!

We wanted our daughter to have the fairytale wedding she dreamed of. Fortunately, we decided to have the wedding and the reception at the 173 Carlyle House in historic Norcross and we are very happy to say that everything went perfectly!The wedding ceremony was held on the Carlyle House’s beautiful, outdoor space where there are lots of large gorgeous trees and green space, along with a flat patio area for the wedding guests and the wedding party. The service was so lovely and then we moved indoors to the chandelier filled, beautiful, spacious rooms inside. The bridal room, the dining area, the dance floor, the set-up for the DJ…everything has been so well planned out!The service was perfect and always very professional! The food was absolutely delicious and looked as fantastic as it tasted! Chef Janousek prepared a perfect wedding meal and the cakes were perfect and tasted awesome! The quality of the food was outstanding -- everything was prepared perfectly! The food experience was another highlight of using this venue -- it tasted just like a 4-star restaurant and our guests raved about how delicious everything was!We especially want to mention the awesome Event Specialist Gerise Janousek. Gerise was a consummate professional, helping with the plans every step of the way and providing expert advice for everything involving the wedding. Things went so smoothly because of her incredible hard work and professionalism down to the smallest of details! The florist Maria and the DJ that Gerise recommended were awesome too! My husband and I were so relieved that Gerise was there every step of the way to patiently guide us and to make sure our daughter’s dream - a perfect, fairytale wedding came true! We are so happy for the happy couple and we are so happy we can so very highly recommend 173 Carlyle House!
