Cannot say enough good things about this business. Dr. Tuckerman is fantastic; patient explaining things, takes time to answer questions and is empathetic with us as a customer. Front office staff is also great (Mary, Leo, others). Keep an up-beat attitude in the face of a very hectic work place. On top of all that, the pricing is very reasonable. Not cheap...quality service for a fair price. 100% recommend
These people are incredible. Our dog has terrible anxiety about going to the Vet, so much so that the two Vets we tried to work with prior to finding Aardmore weren’t able to successfully examine her during several attempted visits. The folks at Aardmore provide great care at a great value. The vet is still not our dog’s favorite hangout, but Aardmore does a great job taking care of her.
Dr. Tuckerman is friendly, informative, and really cares about the animals! Its always easy to get ahold of her to ask questions over the phone, and she puts so much care into each interaction with both owner and pet. They are really reasonably priced without sacrificing quality of service, and theyve never pushed me to pay for a procedure or product that isnt necessary. Cant recommend this vet enough to anyone in the Baltimore area!
After a bad experience with another vet clinic we started bringing our dogs and rabbits to Aardmore. Everyone is caring, knowledgeable and good at explaining. Highly recommend!
They did a good job helping my cat and prices are good and the people are very nice and will work with u.
Aardmore is the best Vet around. My family and I have been taking my animals there for over 40 years. They are the kindness and most knowledgeable vet I have ever been too. Once I had to take my dog somewhere else because of emergency and they were out of town and the other vet was nothing like Aardmore at all. Wish I could of waited for Aardmore. Not only are they great with the animals they are very compassionate with the Family members when going through difficult times with their fur babies. The staff is also awesome! Thanks Aardmore!
They take very good care of my dads dog Promise and i lost my dad and step mom within 6 months of each other he was sad and having nightmare and was very anxious when i would leave i loved him up and Aardmore check him well and now he is a happy old man puppy dog Thanks!!! For serving my community The Pauling Family loves you!! My sister referred me they care for her dog until she past of old age
Love this place. Taken every cat I have or had for the past 8 years plus...affordable...very pleasant staff and vets...feel they care as much for my cats as I do.
Im really impressed with how theyve retooled their process for the Covid19 pandemic. As a grocery worker, I appreciate how hard it is to come up with new guidelines on the fly. They now have somebody come out to your car and pick up your pet, and they call you from inside to update you and run your card over the phone. The techs still seem just as committed as ever to keeping the pet happy, healthy and safe, and everything ran really smoothly. I only took my cat in for her scheduled vaccines this time, but after that experience Id feel confident going in for a more involved issue, too
I did the regular examination and vaccines at Aardmore from the beginning of my cat Ollie arrival. But I havent realize how good it is until I must come to another hospital (falls road) for an international health certification. People here are professional, always knows what they are doing and always provide the information you need, with friendly service. So glad I chose Aardmore from the first day.
By far the best vet in the area. You may have to wait a while for your appointment after you arrive, but they’re a great institution with kind employees.
I’ve been taking my pets here for a decade- great care and won’t break the bank- love the staff especially DR. Tuckerman!!!!
This is the first vet I’ve used but they always answer the phone and have appointments available whenever we have a problem. They have taken great COVID precautions too.
First and foremost, its important to understand that Aardmore is NOT where I would go for emergency veterinary care. I once asked about stitches for a large cut on my dog and they recommended I go elsewhere instead.Ive used them for routine veterinary care for two years now. They have been absolutely wonderful. My first dog had many ear and skin infections due to her allergies. The vets always took the time to work out a treatment plan, price out my options, and let me know what they recommended as well as warning me if an option would be pricey or unlikely to work. When my other dog had surgery, they were done quickly enough that I was able to pick him up several hours early. They have also been amazing with my dog reactive dog. They understood that we needed to wait outside prior to the appointment and often needed to be let out through a back door to avoid other dogs. They were also very understanding of any time I forgot my credit card or just needed to wait a day until payment (late fees start on the first of the next month.)The vets are very kind and knowledgeable-- they truly take the time to get to know animals and make them comfortable. Every tech and vet knew my dog and her likes and dislikes. They took time to greet her, feed her treats, and make her experience so enjoyable that my dogs LOVE going to the vet. When my first dog passed, each tech also took the time to offer their condolences and I received a sympathy card as well.Dr. Tuckerman has always been fantastic-- shes my favorite. Shes very approachable and friendly. Additionally she knows I have a decent understanding of human medicine and never talked down to me, but met me at an appropriate level my knowledge and fed my interest in veterinary medicine.
Just had a great experience at Aardmore. Was able to get a last minute appointment for a kitty, the team honored the appointment time, and then quickly diagnosed and treated the kitty. Everyone was kind and prices seemed more than fair. There arent many vets in the city whod fit that description. Thanks for helping Leo Aardmore!
Can’t recommend Aardmore enough! My puppy needed surgery on his leg, and while it was pricey (wouldn’t have been cheaper at any other vet), they have been super helpful with the healing process and my puppy is healing up nicely! An average visit is much less expensive than places I’ve been in the past and the people are so nice and genuinely care about your pets.
Staff is very professional and friendly, prices are reasonable also a short wait time.
I have had nothing short of excellent service at Aardmore. We recently moved and began taking our pets elsewhere - but I have returned because Aardmore is worth the drive. They actually care about your pets and arent going to charge you an arm and a leg. We returned for a second opinion which was more accurate than where we were going. Weve had a dog and a cat have major surgery there - as well as a dog that required an two day stay for a condition. Very nice staff. Is it the newest place on the planet? No. Does it have all the bells and whistles visible? No. But for quality of care - thats okay for me.
The vets are friendly competent. The prices are reasonable and we don’t usually end up waiting too long. We have been taking our cats there for over 6 years.
Not accepting anymore clients.
My cats and I love Aardmore! The doctors and staff are caring and helpful. Its so easy to make an appointment, and the prices are affordable without any sacrifice in the quality of care.
IF YOU ARE A WALK IN OR HAVE PET EMERGENCY DONT GO HERE !!!!!, Apparently 2 out of 3 Doctors are still on Vacation until GOD KNOWS HOW LONG... I guess that makes sense being that is January (Sarcasm) As if the Didn’t have a Long Enough Break After Everything has ALREADY been closed for Christmas & New Years . Way to start off 2019 ...
I liked the first visit; the desk clerk and vet seemed nice. I called yesterday about bringing my dog in for a bath and asked if he was up to date on his vaccines. The woman on the phone seemed irritated and accused me of hollering at her. I was merely asking questions, while relating the information to my daughter; since shed be dropping him off. I couldnt understand why he needed an exam EVERY time he gets a vaccine. I couldnt understand why they charge separately for the bath, cleaning the ears and clipping the nails. I made an appointment for his bath and influenza vaccine; which in Florida, it wasnt needed. I also made an appointment for 6 days of boarding. I told the clerk, thank you and her response was um hum. Not professional response and rude. I think she was having a bad day and took it out on me. Afterall, Im paying them for a service and should be treated with respect!
I have looked for a long time for a vet i like in the Baltimore area. I am so happy that i finally found aardmore. They have taken great care of my feline friends. My one cat, was older and ended up getting cancer. They were very straight forward and realistic with me, and helped come up with a care plan that was best for my cat and were very understanding through the whole process. They have never made me feel pressured or guilty to do procedures. I would recommend them to anyone. My only compliant with them, is that i wish they examined the Pet in the room with you. They are reasonably priced, and the staff is very helpful. They will be my vet for a long time.
Best in the United States! Dr. Pineau is absolutely the most compassionate, kind and caring person I have ever met...besides my mom! His staff and Associates are awesome as well. Experience overload in their field.
When I moved to Baltimore in 2006 I tried a bunch of vets in the area and they were always so expensive and would try to get me to agree to unnecessary procedures. I love Aardmore! The care is excellent and no-nonsense. The prices are reasonable.
I have been bringing my dog to this vet for years. Sometimes, the time with a vet can feel rushed, but everyone is always so helpful, even over the phone- answering questions to determine whether an appointment even needs to be made. Just today, I called to get advice regarding a stray that may have been abused, and they took the time out to listen to me and give their best answer. Also, I love that they have adoptable cats/kittens in the waiting room.
I picked up my dog after vacation and four days of boarding, he came out of the back in pain and hardly walking. I then had to wait 20 mins for tem to take him back to see what the matter was, the vet sent me home with pain meds for what I do not know. The vet instructed me to got to the Pet/ER if, I see my dog was in distress.. I did just that and my dog died from flipped stomach and bloating the same night! I called Aadrmore the next morning and she gives me a story of a possible tumor on his spleen that may have ruptured, she never did x-rays how would she see that.. Dont go here!
Dr. T has been very helpful regarding taking an affordable and practical approach to my cats mysterious and distressing GI issues. Her advice and bedside manner has been much appreciated by both my soul and my wallet.
I have been back and forth to Aardmore over the last 20 years with different pets and they have always been a good source of vet assistance. The news isnt always good, but they were compassionate in the delivery of such news when our pet was terminal.
Expert vets, nice people, reasonable prices. Not cheap, but not outrageous either.
Dr. T has been my vet for over 10 years. Very knowledgeable and caring.
Great vet, very good care, lots of love and support
The staff is great. The care is great and I trust this hospital.Unfortunately Im giving a three star rating because my pet has come home once again sneezing and lethargic. Not once . . . but two times in row?!I was charged $48 for the medication to correct this issue. Why would I pay for their mistake? Please Aardmore, improve your sanitation practices. Maybe create a follow-up with patient care to determine if the issue has been resolved. Thanks for your consideration, Bryan Mager
I will never ever in my entire life and after life ever come back to this place. first i was not satisfied with my service in the beginning . after that i felt like i was overly charged for my cat to be hospitalized and i strongly do not believe while my cat was there, he was being treated for his illness correctly. my cat came home worser than when he came there. a few days later he died. i will not recommend anyone bringing their animal if they truly love them. maybe if i was white i would have received a more pleasing service and maybe my cat would still be here. very disappointed
Ive been taking my pets here for years and they are always helpful and courteous.
While the vets seem to provide good quality service to the pets I have brought to Aardmore, as other reviewers have said, the front desk staff (one member in particular, blond hair) has been rude and condescending on several occasions in person and via telephone. I am contemplating another vet for that very reason.
The most caring, knowledgeable and experienced staff EVER!
Didnt forward my cats medical records to new vet as promised. They had 6 days to do it and it didnt happen. Now they are closed and my new vet has no idea what vaccination my cat was receiving before. Ill be getting those records and turning my back on the whole thing.
Ive waited almost a year to post a review on Aardmore to be sure my opinion had not changed. I had been a client there for 15 years and four dogs. However, after my last experience with Aardmore and Dr. Bradley in particular the day before my dog passed away we have gone elsewhere for the care and treatment of our pets. Aardmore used to be a great place to go and Dr. Pineau was wonderful. They always had time for questions, explained everything and never hesitated to squeeze your pet in if need be. I had recommended them numerous times to friends and neighbors, most of which went and fell in love with them. However, they got to the point where they were reluctant to squeeze you in and made me personally feel like a nuisance when I insisted on bringing my dog in twice after having a penrose drain installed and I felt there was too much fluid and clotted blood coming from it. The last visit on 10/24/14 I saw Dr. Bradley because the site had too much clotted blood coming from it. I was told by Dr. Bradley that she wasnt familiar with my dogs case and had also had Dr. Tucker look at her since she assisted in her care when was inpatient for four days there the previous week, that the drain was not in anymore (I never did find that drain anywhere in my house) to clean the area with Peroxide and given another script for antibiotics. We then had to leave through the back door because my dog had a lot of clots coming out of the site. After no improvement that evening and the next morning, we were at PetER, where the hemangiosarcoma was confirmed and by that point there was no way to stop the bleeding. When I received a copy of my pets records I found it interesting that on that last date I saw Dr. Bradley there was absolutely no description whatsoever of why we were there to see them, what our complaints were, like the numerous other notes of prior visits had, just drain now out, clean area with peroxide, swelling now localized to area slightly to middle of upper thigh, 20 Baytril, 136 1/2, recheck on Weds. and the charge of $25. I was most disappointed that I received no phone call from anyone at Aardmore after they received the records from PetER which were faxed the next day and only a sterile condolence card two weeks later from a 15 year client. They have lost my business as I would never trust any of my pets to be cared for by them again and the business of at least two people I had recommended to them.
I brought my puppy there for the very 1st time for his second set of shots. He was the biggest in the liter, healthy, and with no issues. I asked if they can take some of the shots that are not needed out. They said no it comes that way. I reluctantly decided to go there and give them a try based on their pricing seemed fair. When I got to the vet they told me they do everything in the back and will bring him back after he is done. I have never heard of this. My pitbull was always seen by the vet in front of me. This made me feel uneasy. Two days later my dog started to break out into a rash on his stomach and paws. I thought this was either puppy poderma or a reaction to the shot. I kept a watchful eye on it but it got worse. A week after I brought him back and they said it was puppy poderma. They told me to give him benadrahyl 2xs a day and some anitbiotic. Gave it to him for 15 days and still no better but worse. Finally I go back for his last shot and to see what is going on and they scrape for mange which it was not. They then think it is demodex or scarpotos. They gave him Next Guard for the Demodex and Revolution for the Sacoptes. They said I had to order it online from a site and there was nothing else to treat the sarcoptes.Nothing worked and I felt like they were just taking my money. My dog was PERFECTLY HEALTHY before and then after going in that back room and the shots now he still has the itchy bumps. I have never been to a place where they take your pet into the back. Plus they full so many pets thru that place its ridiculous.I had awesome vets in VA and they cared about the animals and gave you a whole game plan on what was going to happen to your pet.Aardmore seems like they process quick money with cheap treatments. I honestly think if I didnt go there my poor dog would be fine. This place doesnt think about whats best they just want your money. Id be cautious about a place that takes your pet to the back and a place that processes your pet like a drive thru at a fast food restaurant. My complaint is that they didnt give me any information about the following steps if it didnt work, they could have told me to wait longer to give my pup his shots to build his immune system, they could have given him just the necessity shots instead of all 7 which is not recommended in the veterinary medical journal, and they could have given him a skin exam right from the start to figure this out.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. YES IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER BUT YOUR PET COULD END UP WITH POOR CARE AND COST YOU EVEN MORE IN THE END!
Amazing prices. Amazing care.
Dr. Pineau is great! Love this place!
Our cat was put down and we requested to keep his ash, and the vet never called when it was delivered...
Always the best experience at Aardmore!!
Hands down the best!
