The staff was very rude. My friend and I went there to buy a couple things. I was looking for a necklace and a ring and he was looking for a mens ring. We were not greeted upon entering the store or acknowledged in any way. The store was empty so you couldnt miss us. We wandered the counters for over 15 minutes. A white couple walked in and was greeted warmly. The couple glanced at a couple things and left. The employees even looked out way and still didnt even ask if we needed help. We decided to leave after this rude treatment and spent our money at Kay Jewelers instead because they were able to be polite and even had multiple customers at the time. Their loss.

We went there to find a mothers day gift for my wife. We also asked to have her jewelery cleaned while we were shopping. The sales woman came out frantically looking for my wifes diamond earing that she had just handed her not more than 5 minutes prior. Thankfully they found it and returned it to her. We then asked about the personalized jewelry that they had advertised. We asked how much they generally cost and were met with well what is your budget. When we told them our budget which was under 1k they disregarded us and didnt pay us a minute of attention trying to find something that would fit our budget. Obviously the staff is commission paid. This made my wife and I feel embarrassed and very judged I could afford more than 1k just didnt want to spend that much. I will be closing my helzberg account and looking for a new jewelry store to get my wife nice stuff from. I will go to the norfolk location for cleaning as the staff was very rude and judgemental. Long story short Im not going back!

Good staff, nice pieces. I can get my wife 1,000.00 earrings or my young daughters 20.00 pieces of jewelry, or grab a nice citizen watch.

What woman doesnt love a nice diamond to add to her collection?? They had some beautiful pieces but only some things qualified for the additional 20% off. The sale was to lure you into the store then try to sell you something not on sale. Lol I didnt fall for the trap....THIS time. 😉

They destroyed my wifes wedding rings trying to solder them together, told her they couldnt do anything about ruining the rose gold they destroyed.Told my wife its the fault of the manufacturer of the ring for the rose gold coating. Not admitting that gold comes in one color and when you bond white gold or any other color gold it needs to be replaced. Will never shop at Helzberg for anything.

Go directly to Helzberg Diamonds at the Patrick Henry Mall.I had gone to 7 or 8 other locations looking for that special engagement ring and I cannot express how pleased I am that I walked into their store.They are beyond friendly and very customer oriented. If I could rate them higher, I would. I didnt just receive exceptional customer service, I received an exceptional customer experience.I can say with confidence that the rest of my business in regards to fine jewelry will always include the fantastic associates at this wonderful store. I truly appreciate the employees of Newport News, VA Helzberg store, as well as Tiffany Miller from Helzberg Diamonds Corporate Office in North Kansas City, MO who was my point of contact for my claim that I had, as well as the Regional Manager who contacted me. I had an upsetting experience with my ring and everyone that I encountered from Helzberg was extremely kind, understanding, and professional. They went out of their way to fix the problem that I had in a reasonable amount of time, and to me that means a lot. Because of the amazing customer service I received, I will definitely be returning for future jewelry purchases.

I wanted to get my engagement ring resized quickly! Helzberg Diamond was able to size my ring up in a day! I paid for ther rush fee ($50) and it was worth it. They also did an amazing job on polishing it. I couldnt be happier. This time of the year I was surprised to get such exceptional service from a jeweler.

*They destroyed my Wedding Set*My husband and I upgraded my wedding set about 10 months ago for our 6 year anniversary. I absolutely LOVED my new rings. I noticed after awhile they were too big on me so I took them in to be resized and saudered (sp) together. It took three weeks, told it would only take two. I picked it up and went home. The next few days I kept looking at it and wondering why it looked so different.. It was a rose gold but it looked black. When I looked closer I realized they burnt the metal on my band so it made the diamonds almost look black and they literally fried the prongs holding the large stone, it looks like its about to snap. Not to mention, 3 diamonds have fallen off of it since I recieved it back. My ring cannot be salvaged at this point and I am completely heartbroken and not to mention so disappointed that they thought it was acceptable to give it back to me looking like that.

Customer service is always polite. Although the employees and management changes just when I get used to people.

My husband and I brought my engagement ring in over the summer to get it turned into a three-stone for our anniversary. They have a 10% military discount so that was the main draw, but boy we should have done our research first! The manager, Nick, sat us down and went over how we wanted it to look. I was very specific that I wanted to keep the stone set in 6 prongs (not 4) because it was more secure and made the diamond look round (rather than square). All in all, we paid up and we were promised the ring would be ready in about three weeks.I called the day before it was supposed to be done and was told the jeweler was still working on it. Next day, nothing. About a week goes by, still nothing. So I call again and they say theyre having a few issues but it will be done soon. A few days later, someone calls and leaves me a voicemail saying my ring is ready for pickup. I make the 40 min trek there with my baby and Nick looks at me puzzled. Whoever called had made a mistake. I was not happy. But wait, it gets better. A few more weeks go by, in which I am constantly having to call and find out what is going on. Finally Nick calls and says my ring is ready. So I go to pick it up - and the center stone is set in 4 prongs. Exactly what we told him we DIDNT want. I was furious at this point, and I dont get mad easily. Nick says theyre going to make it right because they want me to be happy with it. So then I wait some more.Meanwhile, Nick gets better about calling me with more frequent updates. Another month or longer goes by and my ring is finally done. At this point it has been nearly three months! My husband and I go to pick it up. We look at the ring with the loop and see how shoddy and sloppy the work was done. The side diamonds were not symmetrically set, the basket setting was not even, some of the prongs were wonky looking...all stuff that could be seen with the naked eye actually. We talked to the manager on the phone while at the store and he admitted that his company was not very good at doing this. Ok great, well then youre telling us you cannot do what we wanted you to do, because if you cannot do it well then you cant do it. They did refund all the labor costs we had paid (so we only paid for the two side diamonds) so that is the reason Im giving them two stars vice one. Bottom line, stay away.
