Bathrooms. Kayaks at the shore line. Dry bag rentals. Reservations online. In and out with friendly service. Good prices too. Definitely opt for 2 hours. Its worth it to just float around and not have to rush.

Nonetheless, he was extremely patient, polite, friendly, and accommodating; working with us to reschedule our outing due to unexpected weather changes and time constraints. Even allowed us to change our minds and swap out our equipment after our initial departure.Called Conner from the water to ask if we could switch the tandem kayak for 2 singles instead, (teenagers each wanted their own). Without hesitation Conner replied, No problem. Come on back and well set ya up. Conner had the new kayaks ready and waiting for us on the sand when we came back in.Upon completion of our 2 hour kayaking adventure around the harbor, we had the added pleasure of meeting and talking with Conners fellow coworker, Andrew.wasnt actually working, but had stopped in to introduce himself to Conner and offer to help if needed.Both young men were refreshingly polite, friendly, intelligent, and willing to go the extra step to offer and provide superb customer service.Newport Paddle Boarding will now be my #1 go to and choice from now on!Awesome job, guys!! My family paddle boarded for the first time at this location & it was super easy & convenient! You walk to the sand area & the boards are there. It is such a beautiful location to paddle around too! The counter guy was super nice & fun! We want to go back & kyak next. 😉

I have enjoyed renting my kayak from here. The advantage you pick up your paddle at the store, then walk down to the beach 😎 no need to walk it to and from the store. Very easy to secure the time to rent online. Fun, fun, fun under the sun!

I placed an order on June 18th. It is Oct 26 now. I have tried to contact them several times with no responses. BEWARE!!! Do not get ripped off like I did!

Its very nice for people who like to surf, personally I perfer mothers beaches but this one is still great for sandcrabs although theyre harder to find. Good place to get your energized kids to zoom around! The shop here also supplies all the things you could need for surfing. Very useful and fun!

Cant wait to go back. The location is perfect, its scenic and its right on the channel so there is no equipment to haul. Made our reservation online and everything was ready when we arrived. The staff was helpful and Chuck gave us a quick primer since we had never been paddleboarding before. When we were finished with our rental, we walked to lunch at a nearby restaurant and then spent the rest of the day at the beach. No need to move the car.

The best place for all your rental needs on the peninsula! Staff is extremely friendly and laid-back when it comes to rental times for bikes (they might be more strict with boards). The bikes we rented were in great condition and we went all around the peninsula and Balboa. The nicest folks work here, I can’t wait to be back!

We have been renting here for years. Fast and easy service for paddle board and kayak rentals.

Have come here numerous times with various friends and have always had a great time. Check around for deals, you can always find coupons to get in cheaper than the advertised price (Groupon). Love that you can reserve your spot and sign waivers online, if you book the early morning spot or come on a weekday, there is free parking directly behind the building, but it fills up quick.

Paid for a pass back in June but never received it. After numerous attempts to fix the problem, I still have not received my pass, or been refunded.

Once reservations were made the process was super easy and extremely fast. Communication leading up to the reservation was very poor. I purchased a groupon and had some questions about using it. It took about two days for someone to answer my email, and after I called the office and left a voicemail, no one returned my call. BUT once I got a hold of them, the process was super easy. Great place!

Giving this company a 2 star only because I havent been able to get a return call or email about our Groupon Voucher code. The promo code is not working on their site of which it is the only way to book the promotion price. 3 phone messages and two emails should solicit a response. I will be happy to change my review if I can only hear back from someone!

I was extremely excited to go paddleboarding for the first time today. We showed up at the time they asked us to show up (20 minutes early), however we were there for an hour and they still didn’t open the store.I personally don’t think this is acceptable and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

I couldnt update my previous review so I want share we had an awesome day. My complaint about no response cant be explained but they made up for it by getting us out on the water for a good time! Honored our Groupon. Easy access good equipment and super easy transaction. Go for it!

Excellent experience. It was my first time paddle boarding, and we had two kids with us. The man at the counter, as well as the man who helped us get in the water, were both extremely helpful. Great experience, even better customer service. Highly recommend!

Keegan is a super cool dude and he was very helpful with our purchase and booking. He not only rents paddle boards, but also bikes and kayaks. He does get busy so I recommend booking your appointment ahead of time. They have a legit shop and quality equipment. I highly recommend this place for locals and tourists who want a cool experience.

Pricing online and in store is inconsistent. When I looked online at a board rental at about 11:40am looking at the 12pm rental slot, it said it would be $10 for the day. At the store, I didn’t have my phone with me and the guy said it would cost $20 for the day. I told him I thought it was $10 online but maybe I saw it wrong. He pulled up the website on his screen and said he verified it. When I got back to my phone and checked again, it was $10.I’m guessing this is due to a difference in pricing for full-day rental kicking in at noon. But, when a customer comes in just before noon and says they saw $10 as the quoted price, you should really have the decency to honor that, or at least tell him he needs to come back in 10minutes to get the half-Day price.Aside from that the bodyboard was low quality and the strap didn’t stay on your wrist when you duck waves

This place messed up our reservations for two electric bikes. I called Saturday 22nd of September. I was told sure well make sure you get the Groupon price for two electric bikes I said great, please can we make reservations? I was told yes. I was told Id get an email. Guess what? I never got that email from anyone here!!I called the morning of September 29th (my moms birthday) around 10am and I said well be getting there a little late in the afternoon...we have 2 electric bike reservations... were coming from the IE and the guy said sure whenever you guys get here well have 2 electric bikes for you reserved ... baloney!!!We got there around 1 p.m. and they had one electric bike for me and one regular bike for my friend. they messed up our reservation they even had proof that I called on the 22nd of September since my number was on their phone TWICE!sI called again the morning of September 29th. And thats my moms birthday.... it wasnt like I was going to go back down there again on September 30th. We drove from the Inland Empire we drove all the way out to Newport Beach specifically to ride electric bikes the whole day. and they messed up our reservations.I dont trust companies!! next time Im getting the persons name that I talk to ... and I will tell them Now write my name and phone number down on paper or on your computer. Plus my emailbecause I gave him my name and I gave him my friends name and they gave our reservations and to someone else that got there before we did. They only have 4 electric bikes.Im sorry but when you come from the IE sometimes you cant get there until 1 in the afternoon. this place is not professional. Whats the point of having a reservation if theyre just going to give you a reservation to someone else that comes before you

Hmm... satisfactory boards. Got us in at the last minute. However the young guy who was supposed to help us when we got back with the boards was too busy texting to help us in or help us to un hook the life vests. In fact he even forgot to give us the vest when we first left the shop. Total slacker!

Had a great experience with Ryan and Jake. I had bought the Groupon the day prior and completely didnt think of the fact that reservations existed and goofed up. I dont live anywhere local so it would have likely been the Groupon would never be used but they went above and beyond the minimum effort calling people who did have reservations and double-checking to see if they were showing up today or not so that we could take their spots. Luckily someone had cancelled and we were fortunate enough to be able to paddleboard / kayak on a busy georgeous Sunday. Had a great time and would suggest this establishment to anyone due to the kindness and professionalism of Ryan and Jake!
