What an amazing and awesome experience. Went to Newport Beach today at a rent/test ride some Rad Power Bikes and It was a great experience. The minute I walked in Liam was there to greet me. Super nice and friendly guy. Liam help me get acclimated with the bikes and sent me on my way. All the bikes had full batteries and were ready to roll. He let me test the ones I wanted as long as I paid of course which was not a problem, the rental fees are very affordable. I did my test rides and had an amazing time. Awesome customer service and I love rad power bikes. Definitely a customer for life for sportsrents and rad power bikes. Thank you Liam for all your help and I will definitely back again. Liam is an A+ rental operator and super nice guy. Shop is conveniently located on Balboa Island near the bridge for easy in and out. In the market for a couple family fun Rad e-bikes, “try before we buy.” Liam gave us an expert overview of functionality, maintenance tips, and set us up quickly for a two hour ride in Corona Del Mar. Great experience and pricing.

Highly recommend SportsRents and the owner Liam. He plotted our route for us, lent me a few dollars for the Balboa Island ferry so I didn’t need to find an ATM, and gave us some great tips for other local activities.

Not surprised at all about the reviews. When my husband and I started talking about purchasing an E-bike, our daughter said to give the bikes a try before buying a RAD, we did, and Liam at SportsRents LLC spent quite a bit of time with an explanation of how the bike worked and answered each and every question we had. He offered us helmets, we declined, grabbed our water bottles we brought and off we went. We decided to buy two City Side Steps 3s, Liam helped us all the way through the purchasing of them through RAD. He gave us a link to a code for money off the bikes, the RAD link wasnt working and he took care of it for us. Fortunately for us, he repairs RADS as well, so we have an incredible go to, something that seems harder to come by these days. Thank you Liam, cant wait for our RAD bikes.As a side note, we rented bikes down in San Diego a few months ago, that shop didnt carry RADs, they also offered helmets, we picked up our own water, we are thrilled we rented from SportRents and excited for the RADS to come in. SportsRents does not sell the bikes, we were told the bikes will be shipped to Liam for him to get ready for us and our new outdoor experiences as Senior Citizens will begin.

Best place to rent bikes or look at the Rad bikes. Liam is the best, he was very patient and informative with us as we asked a 100 questions about the Rad bikes and he had numerous customers to tend to. I called the Runner bike a winner bike and he just laughed at me with a smile on his face. You cant go wrong at SportsRents.

Great place to try out any style RadBike! Liam has the entire line up of Rad Bikes included the Radcity and Step-through models. I had brought my own Radrover but the girls wanted to try the other Ebikes. Best place in CA to ride and test them out!

We had a great experience here today! We rented two rad rovers since we were considering buying one in the future. This is the only store within 100 miles of our home with these bikes. The renting took less than a minute and was well worth the money. If you need a helmet they provide them. Will be returning again and using their referral code to buy bike!

We had a great experience renting electric bikes from Liam at SportsRent today. Liam was very friendly and easy going.We rode up the mountain-to-sea trail a few miles then came back to Balboa and crossed over on the ferry. We then road north to the Newport Beach Pier and back to the Balboa Pier then on to the end of the boardwalk. It was so great to be able to ride with such ease in such a beautiful area.

This is by far my favorite rental experience. Liam was so pleasant with his positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to make sure we’re happy and comfortable with our rentals. We rented his electric bikes which are by far the best we’ve ridden but looking around I can tell all of his rentals are top quality. Wow! What a great time we had! We rented paddle boards and bikes from SportsRents and it was so easy. The customer service here is really top notch. I went on the Newport Bike ride last Friday and the tour was great. I loved the E bike. However, we were not encouraged to wear helmets and there as little attention to safety along the way. We went thru red lights and did other potentially hazardous things. No water was given for a 3 hour ride. I think they are doing a good job, but there is definitely room for improvement and better customer service.

Great fun. The electric bikes allow you to see so much more. Service and instructions were great. Would highly recommend. We did the all day rental and covered all of the island, village and the pennisula.

Excellent selection of very nice SUP boards to rent...beginner to advanced. Not just the dumb super big beat up rental boards like most rental places offer. Liam is really nice and helpful..great and easy location to water

I rented a Rad Power Bike Mini because SportsRents is the only location to test ride this brand. Liam was so wonderful - he helped me troubleshoot getting this cool folding bike into my tiny car and was generous with his time, making sure I was fully oriented to how the bike worked. The most customer-oriented and friendly place Ive seen in many years! I wanted to check Rad Power e-bikes, and found that Sports Rental is the closest to San Diego place I can try those. I ended ordering the bike to Newport address, asking Liam to help me assemblying it for me. In addition to the bike, Ive got a unique 1 hour workshop on how to take care of the bike. Not only does SportsRents have the best bikes it also has spectacular service. Seriously!I had an All-Star baseball player with me for the weekend and although they had no idea who would be riding their bikes, they delivered ALLSTAR service. They delivered the bikes to my home on the Island and made sure my bike there was cleaned and tires pumped with air as well. They also made arrangements to pick up the bikes to add to extra convenience. Honestly, i will always use SportsRent!Two thumbs up and 5 stars!!!

My wife and I rented two RAD CITY bikes today. A wonderful experience with SPORTSRENTS! Liam is a delight. The bikes were in great condition, batteries charged. His instruction overview was easy to follow and logical. Liam suggested a bike path nearby around the beautiful Upper Newport Bay! Perfect, an half hour each way thru beautiful traffic-free natural back bay area! Very impressed, so much so, I called RadBikes in Seattle to tell hem how impressed I was with Liam! Oh, i ordered two RadCity bikes today!
