Love this place. I usually get gel manicures and regular pedicures, sometimes gel extensions. Mercedes does a great job meticulously shaping my extensions and adding a design if I want. The salon has cool nail stickers, too. My manicures always last close to 3 weeks or more, and my pedicures even longer. Also, the vibes are very peaceful in the salon. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy going to Nams so much. It is a little pricey, but my nails last forever. They have a 7-day guarantee of some sort, if your gel polish chips within the week of getting them done, they will fix it. So I appreciate that. Everyone I have seen there is very nice and they always offer tea, water, coffee, etc.

I visited Nams last week and was utterly disappointed.Firstly, this is a breeding ground for COVID. There were about 20 people crammed into a tiny space with absolutely no social distancing. Even though everyone wore a mask, I’m pretty sure I would have gotten COVID if someone who had COVID was present that day.Secondly, the lady who did my mani and pedi must have HATED me. She did a super speedy and sloppy job on the pedi, probably so she could free up my spot for the next customer, so they could get through more people and $$ per unit time. Sure I understand that, but my pedi was less than ten min long. There was very little massage, soaking, or cuticle cleaning. Why I knew it’s a super speedy job? The person two spots away from me, had the same service I asked for, sat down five min before me and didn’t even have her nails painted when I was “done”. The standard of service is ridiculous.Thirdly, they didn’t do an amazing job at all. There were parts where they painted outside of my nails, and didn’t bother to clean it, it’s just super amateur and not professional.Despite the lady boss being super chatty and friendly, it doesn’t make up for the poor experience I had. I’d have to give this place a one star.

Tried this nail salon for the first time last week and would highly recommend. I walked in without a booking and they seated me straight away. They had a huge selection of colors. Picked my color from the samples and the lady brought over that color along with another similar color they had just got in that was from the new Spring Collection of Shellac. Really appreciated the recommendation.Service was quick and professional and nails still look completely in tact after a week. Much better than my previous salon in the same neighborhood and nearly half the price.Will definitely return - thanks ladies!

Don’t go here. Both myself and my partner got infections after going here. I’m honestly surprised that there are good reviews.The place was overbooked which is not only a COVID concern but also made for a poor experience. They gave me a manicure on a pillow while I received a pedicure because they ran out of seats at the table. Then they almost immediately made me get up (freshly painted pedi/mani) and walk to the front of the store to sit on a bench for my nails to dry. Just kept getting shepherded around the store when I was just trying to relax by treating myself.The employees were exchanging used tools with each other. And running into each other.I left the salon feeling stressed with terrible looking nails (ended up wiping it all off).

My nails are in so much pain. The lady who was doing my nails was extremely aggressive with my nails and cut my skin multiple times. it also took a very long time for a simple manicure; gel with extensions. Her name was Marseles. Not sure if I spelled that correctly, but she was not very nice and my fingers are killing me now. Also, extremely overpriced. It was $80 for what I got. Anywhere else I have gone it is only been $50-$60. The hostess lady was very nice though.

Worrisome infection control practices where nail technicians pass things to each other as they actively work on people’s hands and feet. Additionally, extremely cramped and overcrowded, even for a PRE-COVID era. Also told me to use fruit in the description of my Venmo payment - requesting that I make no mention of nails. Will not be returning.

Ive been going here for a few years now. Absolutely love them! Good prices, clean space! And now with the pandemic, they put up plastic guards in between seats for added safety for all. Definitely recommend. And my 6year old says its her absolute favorite nail salon!

I go to this place to get my nails and I like how they come out. Now I went there this time to get a Brazilian wax for the first time and it was a terrible experience. The door wasnt locked so someone opened the door. I asked why didnt you lock the door?? She, I guess, didnt understand me. So we finish and Im putting my pants back on and someone opens the door again and I say LOCK THE DOOR. And she says it doesnt lock. So i said thats not acceptable. They deducted 2 dollars from my bill. Also the lady wasnt wearing gloves. Very unsanitary.If you know the door doesnt lock then you should have something on the doorknob outside so the workers know.Thats completely unacceptable and I felt very uncomfortable. I will not be going here anymore. Do with this information what you will.

I’ve been here a few times and although the nail technicians are always nice, the receptionist with the colorful hair has ruined the experience for me. You should ask for a receipt after you pay, because the girl that handles the payments will forget that you’ve already paid her. She will make a big scene claiming that you haven’t paid as you’re about to leave.I also paid extra to have a simple design done. My nails turned out really bad as you can see in the photo the lines are thick, uneven, and blotchy. Waste of money. I should’ve just stuck to a normal polish or I wish the nail technician would’ve just said she couldn’t do it instead of taking my money -_-

This salon is clean. Smells good. The staff make you comfortable. They even offer you water. I’ve been to a few other places and every time I went it was like being there for the first time. No connection. Nams is perfect oh and I love abu’s work.

This place is a gem! It was my first time today and the spa pedicure and gel mani were wonderful and well worth the money. They took their time and it was a great relaxing experience. The ladies who work here are also very sweet. Will definitely come again!

The service at Nams is great-they’re extremely friendly over the phone, and do a great job. I have had gel manicures and regular pedicures done at Nams. The only complaint is that they maybe should limit the amount of people in the shop at a time. It’s a small space, and with the pandemic it makes me a little anxious sometimes.

This comfy modest haven just a beat west of the heart of midtown is home to the sweetest group of women. As soon as you walk in the door, you will be greeted, and they will ask what youre looking to do. Do not worry; even if you dont know, they will guide you through it. A small footprint that they maximize the use of every inch boasting sometimes up to 20-25 people in a space that will not seem possible at first glance. The only thing small about Nam Nails is the space. Still, it creates a small sense of community right outside of the hustle and bustle of Midtown Manhattan that is both protected and stimulated by the magic of NYC through these wonderful ladies. They have modest prices for a midtown Nail spa, asking prices that are competitive considering the area they are in and the quality of work they give. I have gone to Nam Nails for a couple of years now and was warmed to see them open back up during the Pandemic. They still have you sanitize your hand at the door; Plexiglas is used to separate the clients and the techs. At night they have a hospital-grade infrared light to sanitize the space. The ambiance of the area with soothing music or chants surrounded by Nepalese elements really set the scene for relaxing and releasing the built tension of city life. I used to come for a buff manicure or, as they call it, Shiny Buff, but I eventually dipped a toe into the world of Gel Manicure and never looked back. Each time I come with a new idea or design, and they work with me every time. I consistently complimented on their work. While there, they offer seltzer water, fruit, and wine from time to time, and you can look forward to leaving not only with a bomb mani-pedi but with a great renewed sense of peace and love from the family over at Nam Nails. I will never not sing their praises. They are an oasis for me once or twice or month, and I value and honor them for that every time. Came here with my husband to get a pedicure. The best decision that I had made! We both got the spa pedicure and the whole experience was lovely! The place itself is very relaxing and bright! We were offered tea and some treats along with fruits which I thought was a good addition to make our experience even better! I would definitely suggest this place to everyone. The staff are very friendly and hospitable and I have nothing to complain about. I will visit again for the excellent services!

There are some lovely characteristics of this nail salon.Positives:Hands down, this is the most beautiful nail salon Ive ever seen- bright, colorful and completely unique.My mani-pedi came with a complimentary tea, as well as candy and fruit. Clearly, the owners thought of ways to differentiate themselves from the crowded nail market of Manhattan.I needed a mani/pedi at the same time (I only had an hour.) They quickly responded to my request and completed the work in the allotted time, as well as helpfully retrieving my wallet from my bag so that I could pay without messing up my nails, helping with my shoes, etc.The tools for manicure were brand-new (out of the sterilization packet).However, the negatives might be more numerous.1. The water for my pedicure was COLD. When I informed my pedicurist, she turned on the hot water, but the water only remained lukewarm. She didnt ask me if the water was ok, if I liked the temperature. She just kept going (perhaps because of the short amount of time).2. This same pedicurist cut me-deep enough to draw blood (please see photo).When I said ow, she didnt apologize. Rather, she said Oh, youre still a baby. So sensitive. She then justified the cut by saying that my nail was growing inward, but I saw no nail--just a scalped cuticle. Again, I chalked it up to going quickly. Still, I think an apology and not condescension was the appropriate response.3. The complimentary candy/snacks? After my nails were dry, I hoped to eat them later. I had to stop a woman who works for the salon from returning it to the snack pile. She might have assumed I did not want them, but she did not ask.3. After I paid and sat at the dryer, I mentioned that I needed to set a 10 minute timer to allow my nails to dry. After doing that using Siri, another employee of the salon came over with a timer and started administering a massage. My home salon in Riverdale offers a free massage while you dry, so I thought nothing of it. However, at the end of the 10 minutes, I was informed that the massage was not complimentary. When I stated I asked for a 10 minute timer (to my phone, no less) and not a massage, it was awkward for all involved. Still, I wanted to pay the woman for the time and did so. The massage was $12, so I left a 20% percent tip, or $2.50. I was told that I needed to tip $3.00;i.e. that a 20% tip was not enough. I pulled out my calculator and did the math in front the woman holding my card. I was then charged $16- this was to include the sales tax. However, upon looking at the receipt, the sales tax was nowhere to be found.Then I was told that next time I come to the salon, I needed to talk more.After having my feet in lukewarm water, being cut, and being told that a 20% tip was not sufficient. It seems like my experience was an outlier to the mostly positive reviews, but I will never return here.

Went for manicure and spa pedicure with my boyfriend. Great place and friendly staff! We are in love with it! We had Dolker and Doma- both were amazing! Definitely going back and highly recommend.

Ex New Yorker visiting for a few days and stopped in here to get a nail repaired and a 15 min massage. Looked great and would have done more if I had more time - there were drinks, snacks, soothing music and skilled technicians. They didnt even charge me for the nail repair (I should have tipped better). This is the kind of nail salon I miss living in London.

Nams Is the best! My mom and I came close to closing and they still took us, while having friendly service. They also offered us water and fruit. And while my nails we drying they gave me a back rub! Never have I been better taken care of!

I used to love this place. They have great energy and lovely customer service. Recently I came in at 7pm (they close at 8:30) and they wouldnt take me even though didnt appear very busy. I called the next week to make an appointment to get a fill and they wouldnt take the appt. because they claim not to do the service, even though Ive had my nails done there several times. Very confusing business practices. On the hunt for a new spot...theyre out there for sure.

Absolute love! Have been a loyal customer of their 47th street location for years (seriously, would rather not get my nails done at all, if not there).Very happy they opened another location!This new spot is all the quality and lovely family-like ambiance of 47th street (read their reviews) in a much larger space. They rotate the staff, so I get to book with the masters I love, and now I dont have to worry about not getting in last minute! Although, this probably wont last long, so definitely recommend to call at least a couple of hours in advance.Nam (the owner) and her daughters run this place, and they are very personable and friendly! You get a selection of drinks (tea, water, wine), charge your phone while getting the mani/ pedi, and a massage at the end (breaks my headache every time!).Love it, and highly recommend!
