A real dream place. Many of my friends, visiting New York City stayed there, and they can’t wait to come back!Chatwal is a luxury hotel located in the heritage-listed Stanford and White building, restored and renovated in Art Deco style by architect Thierry Despontin. It has a “Producer’s Suite” with its own private terrace with a private pool, private garden, and private patio. Each of the 86 rooms is individually designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the top floor offers exceptional views of Manhattan. The hotel is a traditional Jazz Age theater and club that has been transformed into a first-class American restaurant for travelers seeking a more intimate experience than the traditional New York City theater. This luxury boutique hotel features suitably relaxing outdoor areas and is located on a cobbled street in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just blocks from the Hudson River. Each suite has an outdoor terrace and guests can relax in the Crosby Bar and Terrace, which serves as a private terrace with a private pool, private garden, and private balcony.Guests can enjoy the gym, projection room, and salon, and you will be forgiven for the fact that this boutique hotel has an adjacent bar and a covered sandy terrace with a private pool and private garden.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! Small and intimate, but no detail has beeen overlooked. The accommodations are well appointed and exceptionally designed, the added outdoor terraces are such a wonderful surprise in the bussle of the city.Every single square foot of this hotel is well thought out and impeccably executed. Attention to every detail is evident, leather bound built-in closets and furniture, frette linens, turn down service places frette floor mats and cozy slippers on both sides of the bed, ipad controls for lighting, draperies, climate control. complimentary water, umbrellas; really any item you may need is at your fingertips. The bath is luxurious with heated toilet seats, bidet, in-mirror tv, soaking tub and relaxing rainshower. The public spaces are classic art deco, transporting you back to the golden age of NYC, and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The complimentary red mercedes car service takes you within a 20 mile radius, with a skilled driver. No need for cabs or uber!

My wife and I stayed at The Chatwal December 3rd-7th. We were in NY to see the holiday decorations. Our stay was simply wonderful. We stayed in room 410, and it is quite large by NY standards. The room is well appointed, has a large bathroom with 2 sinks, and a roomy shower. The bed is very comfortable. The room was quiet which was a nice surprise. The staff were all just great! Everyone is most friendly and helpful. The Lambs Club is a very nice place to eat. We ate a marvelous breakfast there every morning. We also had drinks in the upstairs bar which was quite nice. The location cannot be beat, right in Midtown.

The Chatwal Hotel has a unique, stylish decor that you would enjoy. The restaurant has great food and the bar makes fantastic drinks. I recommend the Tequila Mockingbird! :-) The hotel is near restaurant row and close to many broadway theaters. My wife and I have been here twice. It offers the NYC experience - shows & restaurants - for a lovely date night.

I am platinum but did not get any platinum upgrade or anything to write home about. When I travel to NYC for business I probably will stay at another Marriott hotel that gives more platinum benefits.I think the hotel would be great for a vacation or family but not so great for business travelers like myself due to lack of upgrade, lack of club lounge, any special platinum amenities, etc. Also, I noticed that pretty much everyone on my floor got a newspaper delivered on their door every morning except for me (not sure why, I was never asked if I wanted one.) Also in the morning when I had my shoes shined and garment steamed (which was great for business traveler like myself) the person returning the shoes and garment rang the doorbell about 4 times and work me up 30 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. This caused me to lose valuable sleep (I am not a morning person). I had informed the person on the phone when I requested the shoe shine the night before that they could leave it on/outside the door. No one told me I would be getting the doorbell being rang over and over until I answered in the morning or I would have said never mind, no shoe shine needed.Certain things with room were strange - for instance, my end tables in the room were put on top of hand towels. Not sure why. Seemed a little trashy to have it done this way, not classy like hotel was supposed to be.Also, in the morning when I needed a taxi, I asked the doorman to get me one, but he said it is difficult on the street the hotel is on and that I should just hire a car service or walk to the corner. This was particularly not helpful in the cold when I was expecting to travel to work. I did not have a rideshare app downloaded on my phone so the fact the hotel didnt have a way to get me a taxi in the morning was a big deal breaker and inconvenience. Room service was super prompt and helpful. So that was great for a business traveler. Food always came faster than they said it would. Bed was also very comfortable and I liked the blinds that were remote controlled.

I spent three nights in New York for a girls trip with my daughter and mother. We booked the Chatwal for location and on the recommendation of our travel agent. Im so glad we did. The hotel was perfectly located for our focus on seeing theatre and visiting Rockefeller Center. In the midst of the crowds, holiday tourists and bad weather the hotel was a welcome reprieve both midday for a quick stop and at the end of a long day out! Even when the hotel lobby was busy it was still calm and welcoming. The staff was attentive and thoughtful. The rooms were spotless and huge for Manhattan. The art deco style is beautiful and felt like stepping back in time. We had room service and ate at the Lambs Club and both were excellent. I would definitely stay at the Chatwal again.

At first, I was disappointed that a Grand Deluxe King was actually not the same as what I saw in some photos. The staff assured me the room I was given was larger than a Deluxe King, although some Grand Deluxes were large enough for a love seat. Mine was not. This really didn’t matter though, and I didn’t pay much more for the upgrade from Deluxe to Grand Deluxe, so I get it. May help to clarify this for guests though. Otherwise, staff knew my name, asked how my broadway show went, and surprised us for our tenth anniversary. I felt at home there and loved the history of the hotel and the Lamb’s Club. I would stay here in this hotel full of character again over any chain luxury property. This is very minor, but Peloton bike was not equipped with SPD clips as some non-hotel websites advertised, which means I brought the wrong shoes. I highly recommend getting dual SPD/cage pedals, which are standard at most hotels and five riders more options. Management seemed really open to this suggestion.

We were hesitant in staying at a hotel so close to Broadway but we had theater tickets and we thought it would be wise to look into staying close by. Found the Chatwal on Marriotts web site and was familiar with their Luxury Collection Hotels as we had stayed in a few already and we loved our experience. The Chatwal lived up those high expectations. We loved the Art Deco look and how spotless the place was. Very nice room, adequate fitness center and a world class staff. Huge disappointment. Selected their third tier suite for a Monday - Wednesday stay ($44 for breakfast). As it turns out that breakfast is continental; coffee, juice and bread. The deluxe or premier suite is a tiny room roughly 10 feet across max at the widest part in shabby condition with cheap decor. The lobby, lounge and restaurant are dated and uncomfortable in red leather, chrome and black glass. Overpriced bourgeois sums up this hotel. The Chatwal is not five star by any stretch of the imagination. There are several superior four stars for half the price, and a handful of comparably priced five star options insurmountably better in quality experience.2 stars for the friendly staff and the berry smoothie the chef was gracious enough to make in lieu of the $44 continental breakfast. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The Chatwal was a wonderful hotel and first rate in everything. When youre going to NYC, the Chatwal is a first class property all the way. The location is excellent; right in the middle of Manhattan with easy access to everything. Times Square and Broadway are just around the corner as is Bryant Park and other attractions. Very centrally located.Personnel there were courteous, professional, personable and friendly; its truly a top notch property. Our room was rather large for an NYC property and there was very minimal (if any) street noise.

I love everything about the Chatwal except that its so close to Times Square. This means fighting crowds (if on foot) and traffic-flow difficulties (if traveling by car/cab). Even professional NYC drivers consistently fail to anticipate that they cant turn left on 44th St. directly from 7th Ave., so build in extra time if you call an Uber or black car. However, the Chatwal really is such an exceptional property that the location-related headaches are well worth it. The butler service is unparalleled and has made my business trips far more tolerable. Ive reclaimed the 20 minutes Id ordinarily have to spend ironing by trusting that task to the butler. To me, thats a phenomenal amenity. The food at the Lambs Club is excellent, and makes room service dining exciting, rather than dreary. The fit and finish of the rooms and suites is outstanding, and the bathrooms are especially impressive. The striking black marble, in-mirror television, heated/bidet toilet seats, and rainforest shower are beautiful and uncommon touches, even in the world of five-star hotels. Finally, if youre traveling for theater, even the location of the Chatwal is a plus--the hotel puts you in easy walking distance of all the major Midtown theaters.

The Chatwal is a small luxury hotel located just off Time Square, which makes it very convenient to the theater district. The location on 44th street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue does cause some difficulty getting a taxi or Uber ride from the hotel, but the staff was helpful in directing us to an easier pickup area. They have a car on site for transportation within a limited radius, though during our stay it was not always available. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and there is a very nice upstairs bar. The restaurant is small and the selections limited, but that is what you’d expect in a very small hotel. It’s a hidden gem in an area full of very big and ordinary hotels, and if price is no object I enthusiastically recommend it for your stay in the city!

Had the most amazing 7 night stay over Christmas with my husband and 18 year old twins. We stayed in the garden suite, two bedrooms with ensuite luxurious shower rooms. I have stayed in many hotels in lots of different countries but the Chatwal has now overtaken my previous number 1 hotel. The staff are a credit to the hotel, each and everyone of them. Nothing was too much trouble and all were very friendly and efficient. They responded to my request for a Christmas tree and decorations in our rooms and made it special for us. Even though our twins are 18 the staff placed stockings on our door for them Christmas morning, which went down very well with them ;)The hotel itself is far better than the website photos show. Extremely clean and beautiful decor. The beds are very comfy and the rooms so quiet even though it is a short walking distance from Times Square. Our only negative was the high costs of both the well stocked mini bars and food, especially breakfast, much more expensive than anywhere I have previously stayed, but that is the only negative in an otherwise fabulous stay! Thank you to all the Chatwak staff! Almost forgot to mention the Spa area, small plunge pool and jacuzzi but beautiful and very relaxing. The shower rooms in spa area are superb!

Stayed here for one short, but wonderful night. The accomodations were very new and luxurious. All the high tech and comforts were present. All the front staff were friendly, thoughtful, welcoming and helpful from the moment I entered. Items or preferences that I usually have to remind a hotel about were already handled by The Chatwal when I checked in (e.g., foam pillows, late check out request)....this hotel actually reads your profile and special requests in advance of your stay! What a wonderful surprise. I felt quite at home here. Small requests were graciously handled (e.g, switching start times of a spa treament by 15 minutes, trivial but often impossible to do elsewhere). Lobby bar was lively; breakfast and service at the restaurant (Lambs Club) was very good and looks to be a fun place for dinner. Hotel is tucked away on a quiet street but steps away from Times Square. I did the short walk to all the fifth avenue shopping in about 12-15 minutes. This is our second visit to the Chatwal. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the attentive nature of the staff. In particular, Jacques, our favorite NYC bartender and Brian the head butler were outstanding in their personal attention to our needs. Jacques is so personable with a ready smile and handshake and he mixes an outstanding cocktail every time. It is worth noting that we first encountered Brian in the elevator. After that we consistently ran into him in public areas of the hotel. He was always warm and welcoming and recognized us immediately every time we saw him with a ready offer of assistance for anything we needed. Our only disappointment was at check-in. The staff wasnt able to upgrade us based on our platinum status (which we clearly understand is based on availability within the hotel). More importantly, we were not informed at checkin of our options for our platinum benefit. We had to stop by the front desk to specifically inquire about this benefit. We were given the benefit, but it should have been offered proactively. At that time, we also informed the staff that we would be open to a mid-week move if any upgrades became available, but we werent contacted about this possibility after that conversation. We also dined at the Lambs Club on Saturday evening. An excellent choice. The sommelier was outstanding and obviously knew his wines. (unfortunately, I didnt catch his name.)

I occasionally stay at highest category hotel in SPG property during my business travel in weekend (This year, New York seems to have few more)If you are looking for a pure vintage style in early 1900, you can probably skip this one. Chatwal has much more modern luxury equipment and modern design fused in its element.Chatwal deserves the highest category under SPG given the service provided.Service is really distinguished from my experience over 200 stays across 3-7 category SPG hotels. I was so impressed when asking front desk (If I remember correctly, it is Nico) for something. It is like there are someone waiting just outside my door to deliver, lightening fast. Backgammon game in the room is also impressive for me.In addition, I aware that I might ask something too much during my short stay. Their home-made postcard are so special that I cant stop myself to write it to friends and family overnight. I probably asked too many of them that I sensed a bit they have to ponder about it ^^||. and thats the place I do feel they are doing their best effort to satisfy guest. There is one last thing that I missed in this weekend. Nico told me they provide free transportation for place within 20 blocks but it is not operating at the time I stay. Hope I can have a chance to try it next time. The last 0.01 non-perfect part is about the luggage storage service. The trace of glue of the tag cant be erased from my luggage...maybe Chatwal want to stay in my memory by this way ? If they offered me a free luggage I will definitely give them a 120% satisfaction... That will be far beyond I can imagine for a hotels service.Overall, I would recommend to give it a taste if youre a SPG member and is travelling in New York !

The small terrace off of the dining room and living room had great views, and the rooftop terrace, which is accessible by walking up a spiral glass staircase in the living room, was incredible. Nice views of Times Square from there, it was furnished with a couple of sofas, chairs, coffee table, bar, landscape lighting, and made the stay quite comfortable despite being cold that week. The service was great too. The hotel car would bring us to locations within a certain range, and everyday, we had surprises waiting for us after turndown service, like sweets, chocolate, champagne, etc. This hotel was perfect and not too overcrowded, like some of the larger hotels (this one only has 70 rooms).

Nice property and was glad to see an alternative in SPGs Manhatten portfolio in the upscale segment.Close to Times Square - not the most prestigious location, but perfect if you are looking to see musicals or go to the theater; also close enough to other Midtown attractions or office buildings. Entrance is very understated (almost walked by once), lobby has a cool art deco feel. Nice rooms with good amenities and taste. Bathrooms are huge and feature the best rainfall shower I have seen in a hotel. Was given a room with a terrace, which was quite useless as it was on the second floor of a courtyard and very noisy from various a/c outlets.Staff is nice but no special efforts (e.g., remembering name, etc.).Most disturbing thing happened at check out; I asked for a cab and when I left the hotel, my luggage was loaded into a black town car. Naively, I thought that they were offering me free transport to the airport as a SPG Platinum. Once we got on our way, I asked the driver and he told me that the ride will be $60. That is not much more than a regular cab ($45) and it was a nice car. I do however find it very disappointing that the bell boy would just make that decision for me - particularly as the limo driver had to pay him off to get the ride. I know that these things go on behind the scenes, but for a hotel of this league, this is - frankly - inexcusable.

Stayed here for 5 nights and booked 2 Grand Deluxe rooms whilst we were getting married in the city. From when we arrived to when we left the staff were warm friendly and provided exemplary service through out. nothing was too much trouble. The Rooms were well decorated, bed comfortable and bathroom well stocked, if a little compact. Brandon, the head butler, pressed our wedding shirts and jackets and sent out friends clothes for dry cleaning without issue and took care and interest in our trip as did the other reception staff. Breakfast and dinner in the adjoining Lambs Club restaurant were very good. Wednesday Jazz night in the mezzanine bar was great and staff could not be nicer. Would stay again if we return to NYC.

The Chatwal staff is courteous and rooms are nicely appointed and quiet. We experienced some issues one should not expect at a 5 star luxury hotel. There was no wait at the front desk. Our luggage took one hour to be delivered after I advised the front desk I had a spa treatment in 20 minutes and wanted items in my suit case. I could have taken my one bag on rollers up myself. I was not informed I must waive my room card for the elevator to work. She pointed to the location of the bar and restaurant and told me how to find the spa only after I asked. As I never saw the bellman the many features in our room were never explained. The masseuse at the spa was wonderful and an individual room with shower was lovely. The bottled water was warm and there was no ice. Tea bags were set out but no hot water there nor staff to ask or check if we needed anything. Butler service is advertised but never mentioned. I think individual attention from the staff on all fronts would make guests truly feel cared for in a boutique hotel.A previous brunch at The Lambs Club was wonderful. We asked our guests to arrive early for dinner and went to the upstairs bar. The bar was busy at 7:15 pm and could not accommodate us. We had dinner and the food was good. But our drinks were not delivered for 45 minutes. We did not receive bread for an hour. Our 3 course meal for 4 people took nearly 3 hours. The only comment by the waiter after a 1/2 hour wait was the bar was busy and the drinks were coming. I mentioned some issues when I checked out. The man at the front desk was gracious and apologized on behalf of the hotel..

What a lovely hotel....not just the exquisite room, but also the approachable, personable, kind, friendly, professional staff. From entrance to exit, The Chatwal experience exceeded all expectations. The room is GORGEOUS, too! Suede walls, rich colors, and an ambience that cant be matched. The staff makes you feel like you are truly in a home away from home. They feel like friends, because they are so kind. They were so helpful, too, with helping us make the most of our stay in NYC. This is the first hotel review I have ever submitted, but I was so inspired by my stay, I had to let others know...or maybe I should have kept it a secret?

The hotel is nice. It has a great location especially if you want to be by time square and the theater district. This is our 8(?) visit to the Chatwal. Its a love affair. The hotel is beautiful and intimate despite being right off Times Square. The staff treat us like part of the family - not in the overly familiar sense but in a caring way. From before we get there the concierge team (we especially love Pierre, Juan and Brian (a recent addition)) - they work at getting us into all the best places - Carbone, the Beatrice, Eleven Madison Park. We were able to get NYC Ballet tickets when it was sold out.Lance at the front desk monitors our reservation getting us the best room available and Platinum status is always acknowledged.Rooms are gorgeous and this time ours had a terrace where we enjoyed delicious room service breakfast.Cant wait to get back!

We had 2 rooms at the Chatwal over Labor Day weekend to enjoy the City and the US Open. I had requested that one of the rooms have 2 beds, and that request was accomodated. If that is important to you, be aware that you may get a handicapped-accessible room. For us that was not a problem. The staff was excellent, welcoming us, introducing us to the Butler and bell staff, and making sure our checking was simple. They were also attentive and helpful throughout the rest of the stay. Our room had a quirk in that you could not turn on/off all the lights from the entry light panel. I hope this will be analyzed and fixed. The room was very comfortable and overall quiet. We faced to street and got some expected street noise, but given the location it wasnt bad. The only problem we had was the WiFi. I had almost no signal in my room and my companions had no signal in their room at the other end of the floor. If you are staying for business you will probably need to plug in to the connection, which I did not try. For a smartphoone or iThing you will have an issue. Please fix this situation. Otherwise, the staff and room was excellent and we plan on staying here again next year.

We found the entire staff at The Chatwal very helpful and friendly. They took the time to answer all our questions and the concierge gave us several tips/suggestions that allowed us to fit even more activities into our schedule. The food served in the Lambs Club was a bit pricey but oh so good! Our room on the 8th floor was small but well arranged. The bathroom was large and contained everything we needed. For the most part it was very quiet but the walls really are pretty thin and we could hear everything our neighbors were doing. The good news was that our schedules rarely overlapped and nights were always quiet.Im afraid i just dont get the butler thing so we didnt use ours but he did introduce himself and recognized us in lobby. He even sent us a note and chocolate mid trip just to remind us he was available.Overall we really enjoyed our stay and everyone at The Chatwal made us feel special.

From the moment you walk in through the heavy doors from the madness of the street you realise that youre somewhere very special, a sanctuary of luxury. The attention to detail is everywhere - in the decor, the room amenities and complementary services (eg free coffee, newspaper and overnight shoe polish). The jazz evenings are a triumph and the whole vibe of the place is just superb. The staff (apart from the valet) work extremely hard at making guests feel valued and they deserve a special mention in making the overall experience so memorable.

Hotel was very clean. Most staff very attentive and polite.Hotel was also very quiet( which was great given its proximity to Times Square). Our room was on the small side (there was no upgrade available at check in). I would advise making a reservation for any meal in the restaurant as we were turned away on Sunday morning for breakfast due to outside guests( the hotel did not give us that heads up).Easy walk to Subway, Times Square, Broadway shows, with plenty of restaurant options close by.Will stay again if we can get a bigger room and guaranteed seats for breakfast!

The hotel is locate between the 6 and 7avenue Times Square in in the 7avenue. All the theaters are in the same area, the hotel is in the heart of all the things that are going on in New York. But when you enter to the hotel you are in another world......noises stay in the street and you enter a silence and quited hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful all the time. The room are super quite. I think this is one of the few hotel where I could sleep for hours without any interruption from people on the corredoirs or air condition sounds or anything like that. It is very very quite. The room is very pretty decorated, it is good size room. The bathroom is very big with a huge shower and a toto toilet.....and a TV. The amenities in the bathroom are good as well. The hotel has a Spa. I did not use the Spa but I use the pool and Jacuzzi. It has also a small gym.The hotel is so central located that in 20 minutes you can be wherever you want. The underground is in Times Square, 5 minutes walking from the hotel, and from there you could go to any place that the underground will take you.We really like the hotel and I would recommended it to any friends that will go to New York and want to be in the heart of Manhatan.

But after my first stay at Chatwal I guess I will just book it for the next few months. It is very stylish a nice mix of old times charm with modern feel. Rooms are relatively small but still one of the largest you can get in NYC and definitelly best furnished among 7 other hotels I visited. It is definitelly a unique place on the NYC hotels map.Pros:+ very nice rooms+ very friendly staff+ charming atmosphereCons:- room service card relatively disapointing (narrow, quite standard selection, night menu start early (10pm)Overall: one of the nicest hotels in NYCEnjoy

My husband and I stay here every year for his birthday/our anniversary. It is a remarkable experience, with the most gracious service, attentive staff and focus on detail, all in Times Square. The walls are covered in suede and completely sound proof. The linens are Frette and a gloved butler tends to your needs. The bathrooms are jaw dropping with giant rain head showers and a tv hidden in the mirror. My only reservation may be the room size. If your room comes with a queen sized bed, even if a suite, be aware the room(s) might be very small. The rooms with king size beds are larger. I also prefer the rooms on the front side (facing 44th St) even though they are louder you get much better light than the back of the hotel. For a splurge, get a king suite with terrace - it is a great NYC experience.

I have been trying different hotels in NYC trying to find one to stay at consistently for business. This hotel has to be one of best hotels I have stayed at in NYC. The service was impeccable. I was upgraded to a suite upon check in which was also amazing. Check in service was great as they also escorted me to the room and gave me a tour. They pressed my clothing upon arrival. The gym was also spotless and had everything you could need for a road warrior. The hotel had the feel of the ulitmate business traveler hotel with rooms that were silent as a tomb and limited traffic in the lobby. This is even more impressive considering it is in the heart of times square. The reason this review is incomplete is as I attempted to sleep in this magnificent room I was repeatedly bit by a bug (I assume a mosquito). This went on all night and prevented me from getting a proper nights sleep. I called the front desk and the man attempted to be helpful and offered to go buy bug repellent for me which I declined as I felt silly. The bug issue created a very uncomfortable night stay. The fact that the service was so impeccable and the room was pristine makes me want to believe that the bug issue was an anomaly. I plan on giving this hotel another chance.

As a first time guest I was truly looking forward to experiencing the Chatwal as a whole and what it had to offer. In my travels to some of the best luxury hotels in the world Ive heard great things about the Chatwal hotel, which Unfortunately I cant say the same after my stay. I arrived Superbowl weekend with intent to explore and get my stay off to a great start at the hotel but they had a private event booked on both levels for the whole weekend which meant all the chatwal guest who were not apart of the NFL Superbowl Clients didnt have access to the restaurant & the bar etc. Whom ever book this event from the Chatwal hotel didnt take in consideration the rest of the hotel guests especially SPG members. Because of this issue there wasnt any where for any of us to go inside the hotel except to our rooms or to leave the hotel, in which I didnt reserve a 2 night stay at a Category 7 starwood property to do either. My goal was to explore the hotel lobby sitting area, the famous bars area, the exquisite restaurant for dinner in which I had invited out my family who was celebrating a family anniversary but had to cancel because I had no access to restaurant area. Next issue housekeeping had to come back into my room after it had been cleaned already to replace my pillows because someone got the rooms mixed up and removed the pillows out of the room originally. Next the radio speakers were blown and the TV kept shutting off which meant the engineer had to come to my room to reset the TV. It truly didnt meet my expectations at all. I felt like I wasted my money by booking this hotel. I would like to thank Mr. Fischer (hotel manager) for his extremely hospitality as well as Julio & Jesus from engineering. After this experience I can truly say I wouldnt refer someone to this hotel who is looking for that luxury/ Category 7 starwood experience.

We were overcharged for our Wine. Anyway it did not ruin our stay. I just wont go to the Lamb Room. A very lovely Hotel. Treat yourself when you are staying in the Theater District. The Chatwal convinces with super attentive and friendly staff, well-appointed rooms, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere right next to Times Square. By far the best choice of any hotel nearby, the Chatwal won me over with their total consistency in delivering a great experience. Every time, at any of my frequent stays there, everything was perfect. Notable bar scene and music, and arguably one of the best restaurants in all of NY, The Lambs Club, which serves wonderful breakfast and also works well for business brunch, lunch or dinner, only add further to the convincing package. I have been there before and it was always great, but considering the price, it must be great. This time I arrived at 2 pm. I had announced early arrival. The room was not ready. I had to wait 30 min till the rooms are ready. The argument was we are booked, some check-out late but the best argument has been Standard check.in is 4 pm. So we waited at the bar till the rooms have been ready. And dont worry, we havnt been invited by the hotel. As the hotel bar only offers 0,7l water, I asked them If they can bring it up when I am checked in. While I was checking in finally a guy from the bar walked over and told me he had to charge me extra to bring the water to my room. Thats what I call great service. BTW: zero SPG regocnition
