Very rude. i called to ask how much it would be to fix scratches on my leather shoes and he hung up the phone on me without even answering.

Uriel does excellent work and has kept my shoes together and clean since 2016.

I wish I had a before after photo to share! I had my wolverine thousand mile boots soled down the street at another shop close by on 8th ave. They were nice and I thought they did a fine job but the soles came off after about six weeks of average wear. Uriel’s is an amazing gem, tucked in the back of a friendly barber shop. The experience was fun and unique, everyone was nice, but what will keep me going back was the quality and speed of service. I could tell right away this was an entirely different quality of a sole and the job was well done SAME DAY. When I brought the boots in they were faded and the black of the leather had completely rubbed off- but now they’re like new!

Pleasant, professional, quick, efficient, and even took the time to explain what he would do to make sure I was comfortable with the process. I will certainly be going back for any future shoe repair needs

I have a pair of chunky black leather Chelsea boots and I was going to toss them, and couldn’t because I loved them too much (we all have that pair of shoes). I’ve been searching for replacements ever sense and was willing to drop $200 on new boots, and figured at this point I needed to go to a shoe repair (I thought it was going to be a fortune).I went to Uriel and he did an absolutely amazing job. I was literally speechless because my shoes looked so good.I now have a new favorite place to get my shoes repaired, and for such great craftsmanship and price. Trust me if you have a pair of favorite pair shoes that need to be fixed, this guy can do it! Highly recommend!!!

Uriel’s is a wonderful neighborhood shoe repair shop and hair cutting establishment in Chelsea. Have been going there for many, many years. Not only is Uriel a master shoe specialist; he has also solved odd issues such as how to make a hat fit more snugly and how to repair a wallet. His work is done quickly, it is top-notch, and his prices are quite reasonable.Also, the atmosphere when you enter the store is exceptionally welcoming!Your shoes and other leather goods will last for years when they are cared for by Uriel. Recommend him totally!

I have been going to this shop for four years now. Not just for shoe repair but for all my watch needs. If he cant do what you want he will be honest and tell you why help you, not just take your money. Very rare to deal with such a honest person. Flawless work every time.

Uriel has fixed many heels, soles, zippers, etc. for me and has done a wonderful job each time. The only person I will bring my shoes to! His prices are very reasonable and he is a genuinely nice person. Highly recommend.

Uriel is super nice and quick to finish my boots, but seriously the barbers that work in the same stores are some of the rudest people Ive ever met!!!! Can I give 5 stars for the actual shoe repair but 0 stars for how I was treated? My God.
