I love this laundromat! I just moved to the city and the lady here is very friendly, she exchanged cash for quarters no problem. She makes everything run smoothly and efficiently in the store. And everyone is required to mask up upon entry which is always great! All in all this is a great cost effective laundromat! 20 dollars will get you 5 loads washed and dried!
I have been going here for almost 2 years and I 100% recommend. Love being able to drop my laundry off and pick it up next day clean and neatly folded. The owner is really nice and helpful!! Happy to support this business.
The overall experience was good and I will be coming back.
Don’t believe all the reviews. The woman who works here and owns the business can be very pleasant and runs a tight ship. I’ve been dropping off my laundry with her for the past year and occasionally do it on my own. Everything is always perfectly folded and ready on time (usually even earlier than expected) at a reasonable price. A lot of the customers who have left reviews are quick to write her off and give her only one star because she doesn’t talk much and can be straight to the point but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t do a good job. She may not ask for your whole life story and chit chat about the weather but she’s much sweeter than people are making her out to seem and takes care of things.
Cheap, quick, and my laundry always smells good. I’ve always dealt with the same woman and she has always been very sweet.
Small. Usually only 2 machines available.
Washing and drying at this place is cheap, I’ll admit. But the owner of the business does not care for your clothes. After she had washed and dried a set of sheets (as shown in the attached photo—sorry, if these are your sheets), she let the sheets fall to ground and let them pass as if they were clean and proceeded to fold them...Importantly, she is RUDE! As the Chinese proverb says, “do not open a shop without a smile.”
Honestly pleasantly surprised based on the reviews. A no frills place for sure, but the lady that helped me was very nice and the laundry service was more affordable than I expected.
The older lady who works at this laundromat is also the owner and it’s absolutely mid-blowing how she could be so rude and curt. It doesn’t matter if you really really try to be nice to her, she would always be curt or plainly rude. The only reason for which this laundromat operates and gets any business is because there are no more laundromats in the neighborhood. Other than that I could not imagine how anyone would go through the sad and very unpleasant experience of dealing with her or giving her any business. Anyone here considering giving her a positive review because she has happened to be nice to you (you were very lucky) please bare in mind how miserable she has made your neighbors felt and how she has turned their good days into sour ones because of her bitter and abusive behavior.
Always great service, and very nice. Affordable pricing
I do my laundry here every two weeks and they are always very sweet. Cheaper than most places in the area. There has been more than one occasion that Ive come up short on change and she trusts me to bring enough the next time. Thank you!!
Neighborhood-y little laundromat. Weve been coming here for a while now. The lady who owns the place is always nice and friendly. Try to avoid doing your laundry on the weekends - you might have to wait for a washing machine (although, its never more than 10 minutes).
Stay away! She yells at you, going there for 16 years and this lady never bothered to learn a word in English always hostile and I can’t wait to move!
The lady who runs the laundromat does not understand customer service and was incredibly rude. It is dirty inside and when I had shirts for dry cleaning they came back wrinkled and unbuttoned. I would definitely not recommend for dry cleaning and believe there are much much better wash and folds within a block or two. Also cash only which is ridiculous in 2019.
The worst customer service ever. The older woman is rude. I still do not understand how she can run a business. She yells at people and treats them with no kindness. Honestly the worst ever. Guys please avoid her
The lady who runs this place is the worst. She is extremely rude, yells at me consistently for coming in to do laundry and not having change (even though she will give other customers change), will use open machines for her own laundry while I’m waiting on a machine, and will remove your clothes without notifying you if you are not staring intently at the machine while your clothes stop spinning. If you live in the area, do your laundry at La Mode, which has a wash and fold service, 326 E 78th. She will ruin your day with an ill-timed “WASHER NOT READY PLEASE LEAVE”.
The only laundromat around the neighborhood where they let you do your own laundry! Run by a sweet Thai lady Lek.
The lady who runs the place is very nasty. Half the machines are usually broken at any given time, and therefore you usually have to wait until someone else is done. She is usually using the machines to do her own laundry, so makes the wait longer. Definitely dont go here if you can help it. They also ruined one of my favorite shirts that i had dry cleaned- its now splotchy.
Be sure to meet a grumpy old woman 😏😏
Weve been doing our laundry for nearly four years now. The lady who owns and runs the place seemed grouchy at first, but over the time warmed up and now is very friendly and always most helpful!
Many machines, reasonable prices but can be very busy so plan ahead
Do not go here. 2 rude girls are nightmare. Used to be nice older lady. They couldnt find my clothes mistagged it than lost my soap plus didnt know clothes soap brand & blamed everything on me plus my clothes came back dirty.
Absolutely avoid this place. they lost $100 + worth of my laundry and would not even acknowledge it
If youre doing your own laundry here avoid this place at all costs. Workers are incredibly rude.
The lady on the desk was very helpful
Avoid this place! Ive spent a worst hour ever. The woman inside shouldt work there, was really nasty
Anywhere else on the UES would be better. The women who work here are incredibly mean, monopolize the machines with their own loads, and have no idea what customer service is.
Very small and crowded at most times
This is the most horrendous place I have visited in the UES. The women who work here have no understanding of what customer service is. If there was an option to leave 0 stars, i would. It is worth the walk to a further laundromat.
