I absolutely love this salon. I saw Francis for 6+ years and only stopped because I left the city. She has done my waxing, and lip/eyebrow threading this whole time and I’ve never been disappointed. Besides her amazing threading skills, she is attentive, patient, and kind. Shobha’s scheduling and cleanliness has always been better than the others too. Overall, 5 star experience every time.

They are always exceptional at threading eyebrows regardless of who you end up seeing. I have never left here disappointed. Very clean, and efficient in their appointment booking system. I love the rose cleanser they put on you after doing your brows.

Received my first laser session in several areas 6+ weeks ago. While the process was generally very quick and painless and the staff was very hospitable, a few weeks after my session I noticed all of the areas serviced had patches of hair that never fell out and thus, kept growing. It was a bit embarrassing since I know youre supposed to shave/trim hair minimally while undergoing sessions. Since this wasnt my first laser hair removal experience (my beloved laser technician moved mid-west) and its not a bargain service, I figured I would call and see if there could be a resolution. The attendant mentioned a manager would be returning my call, which she did a few days later to ARGUE WITH ME about my experience and expectations – which I wouldve rather not dealt with (hence this review).I am generally a big fan of Shobha, using several locations over the years for Brazilian waxes. However, I would definitely advise anyone against getting laser services here. Semi-permanent hair removal services are not cheap and with a management team looking to prove something, Ill be searching to be serviced elsewhere.

The decor of Shobha - SoHo is bright and clean. Their staffs were super friendly and patient to explain everything in details since this was my first time to do Bikini (wax).It was a great and comfortable experience. My esthetician, Francis, is really professional with a sense of humor and let me feel more relaxed during the whole process. It took only 15 minutes to finish and it was not painful as imagined at all.I am so glad to be selected to be here and I will definitely recommend my friends to visit.

Arisa is my go-to person for getting waxed Shobha. The way she waxes me I have minimal pain (theres some - cant be avoided). Shes also a joy to be around and I feel at ease while she works!

Shobha has always been a touch above the rest in their industry, and their services were extremely sophisticated even before the pandemic. Post-COVID, theirs has been one of the best re-opening strategy and operation. Their thoughtful and transparent emails explaining the situation, and their detailed approach about all the safety measures they’re taking would help put a lot of people at ease if you feel ready to access salon type services again.Their prices are higher than the rates you expect (and that’s the only reason for 4 stars) but it can probably become your go-to outlet for special occasions or you may just feel that the super-hygienic conditions are worth the price.

They are lovely! It was a little hard to find in the beginning but theyre great. They maintain the Covid-19 safety protocols, make sure you wash your hands and sanitize too. I went for brow threading and tint and it was quick and easy. Definitely becoming a regular here!

Just went back for the first time since re-opening from lock down, very happy with the set up for Covid precautions. They have you wait to come into the shop until theyre ready for you, take temp, make sure you answer all the covid-related questions, immediately have you go to a sanitizing station to wash your hands before being taken into the room. The service providers are wearing masks and a face shield. Contactless payments through the app.I have been going to Shobha for about 4 years now and have seen Frances the entire time. She is lovely, professional, fast. Consistently happy with the service. Cant recommend her highly enough.

The front desk staff was very friendly, though they were quite pushy with the up-selling. The esthetician wasnt rude, but my review is mostly based on the cost and service itself. The quality you get for the price is really not worth it. The brow lady was making excuses before she even got started about what she couldnt do for my eyebrows. Ive been getting my brows threaded and tinted for years and have never had someone give me a disclaimer. They also do the tinting before the threading which Ive never seen done before. Because the tint also acts as a filler for sparse areas so you dont have to fill them in with makeup, its odd to do before you have even created a new shape for my brows. She was very careless with the wipes and kept brushing them against my eye, even as she wiped off the tint. This morning I woke up with swollen eyelids. Im not sure which part of the service caused this, because like I said, Ive been getting my brows tinted for years so I dont think its an allergic reaction to the tint itself, but they mustve gotten contaminated some way. Also my brows arent even the same shape or thickness. Definitely have had better work done for less than $32, and if you count the cost of benadryl and antihistamine eye drops I now have to buy, its not worth it.

They charge $22 for threading your eyebrows but it is certainly worth it. Whenever I go to the $7 places they totally mess my eyebrows up. I went to Frances and she did an amazing job. The entire staff is so friendly. I really appreciate that they ask you if you want to go to anyone in particular instead of just sending you to the next available person. I would recommend this place to everyone

Fantastic waxing place! Quick, hygienic and reasonably priced. The service is great and the staff were super friendly! They used threading instead of tweezers to remove any stray hairs which was extremely efficient. Yelp has a first time discount as well!

I’ve been there for the first time and the staff are super helpful. I took an appointment and fill out a form. I had face sugaring done by Bista. She’s so patient and explained me what she was going to do. She is so detailed oriented and professional . I was happy with my experience. I’ll definitely go there again.

Friendly staff. Went for the first time today to get my brows done, showed the threader some photos and she took her time and did a great job. Left them thick just as I wanted and gave them some shape (which they didnt have before). She even filled them out for me with a pencil when she was done to show me how theyd look with makeup. Plus, it smells so good in the studio. Like roses and patchouli and other wonderful incense.

When you first walk in you greeted with the scent of incense, very relaxing. Bista was patient and explained to me what she was going to do to my eye brows so I would have better shape. She was even able to make them look more like sisters than cousins. It is more expensive than the quick brow places around town but the skill and attention to detail is what makes the difference. I was happy with my experience, the staff was accommodating to me just walking in without an appointment and very nice. You fill out a form the first time you go which they keep on file. I hope my next visit will be just as nice.

So I usually get my eyebrows done at the Shobha location by Columbus circle so Im no stranger to the brand. I decided to go to one closer to my house because I was flying out the next day for my birthday.I figured its the same company so no worries right?The lady Sunita took no more than 5 minutes on my brows. She stated that she cant do anything because she doesnt want to go too thin but she literally didnt do anything but clean it up when I told her I want an arch.Im aware I dont have the ideal eyebrows but the ladies usually make it work. I paid 22 dollars for my eyebrows to look how I came in. If you couldnt do it you shouldve said something before I sat in your chair.Dont bother coming to this location. Ill be going back to my previous location. Im really disappointed.

Wow, this place is a ripoff. Just hd my brows threaded and while they did a good job, they charged me $22 and change for it. I have always gone in my neighborhood upper east and perfect brows does an excellent job for $7!! Never had a bad experience. I will not be going back unless they adjust their prices to be in line with other threading salons in the city. Shame shame

Shobha is very clean and the technicians all do a great job, I havent had a single bad threading or sugaring.

Previously Ive had really good service here the lady that I normally see wasnt there but its only been one week since my waxing and Ive got alot of stubble. Really not loving the results on this occasion.

The Lady gets her eyes threaded here and shes been going for almost 10 years, so I can say its good :).

Best place for brows and laser services

I have had a million Brazilians in my life and Frances at Shobha is by far the best! I will never go to anyone else! This may be tmi but I have blonde hair that can be tricky to catch all of on a Brazilian but Frances has never missed a hair! I also have sensitive skin and I used to think that three days of irritation post-Brazilian were to be expected and how wrong I was! The whole procedure is so fast and Frances is such a pro it barely hurts at all. Frances makes waxing an almost pleasant experience. She is amazing; I cannot recomend her enough! And dont get me started on the magic she works with my brows! I never ever write reviews but I had to after my experience at Shobha! Do yourself a favor and go!
