UFC is like Family. Richard makes it feels welcoming. The coaches: Jesse, Jessica, Noel, Brandon and Andrew make this place worth coming to every day. With the amount of time I spend at this gym, its like a 3rd home for me. Being with such incredible people makes it much easier. Plus, we have the flexibility to switch between fight training or weight training.
Great gym. Clean, professional and well equipped. Rich and his team make you feel like family. I train with Norman, who is incredibly knowledgeable, and capable of first-rate coaching in fighting sports, fitness and practical self-defense. He has an understanding of the body that has guided me back to health numerous times, after skiing and biking injuries had me sidelined and worried. This level of diversity and depth in a trainer is very rare.
Amazing place. There you find trained staff who will be glad to help you to improve your workout routine. The group classes are great. They also offer personalized training. The place is spacious, impeccable and well equipped. The prices are competitive.I recommend it.
The best place to train around the Soho area. Cool people at the front desk like Josesito and Rich. The trainers bring good energy all the time and are super friendly. Jesse, Noel, Jessica, David, Brandon, Keanya etc.
Ive been a member of this gym since january and I have to say it has been the best decision / investment Ive made. From the start Rich (The Manager) has been very open and flexible with answering any and all of my questions. The gym has an ARRAY of different classes, with coaches that are personable, understanding, and challenging. They have options for personal training, DUT, kickboxing, boxing, mma and even BJJ! They are all great programs with awesome members that allow you to feel like youre apart of a family that continually pushes you! I cant emphasize this enough, this is the best investment I have made for my health especially after being in lockdown for a year.CHECK OUT THIS PLACE! you wont regret it :)
Always amazing. I love coming here!
This location had been holding my refund hostage for months now. As a long time loyal member I am highly disappointed. I would not recommend signing up at this location (or any UFC GYM for that matter).
There’s a really great energy at this gym. Also the coaches inspire you to keep on movingGood place to start learning how to fight.
Marvelous service. Very helpful and polite with everyone.
Ive been to several training group type programs all over the country and UFC GYM NYC SoHo has been the most beneficial and organized establishment. The trainers are well knowledgeable, motivated and committed to each and every individual in each class. All the trainers are phenomenal and you will never leave here disappointed but you will leave here wanting to come back for MORE!!!!
The coach are very nice and professional, but the customer service is terrible, they never reply to my emails, Instagram messages, account messages, never.
Staff is great, especially Gil! The people who go to this gym are super nice and no one is trying to hurt you in the martial arts classes. They even help the new people learn and feel comfortable. All cool people.
I love the family dynamic at this gym. I feel highly motivated to make progress and changes without feeling over pressured or alone in my weight loss journey. The facility is sparkling clean and every single member of the staff is welcoming and professional.
The gym is nice, the trainers are nice, the classes are pretty good. However, you have to be chasing them to make proper charges to your account. They are not very transparent regarding the payments and they dont inform you of them properly. After 3 months, they charge half month for annual fee... after 3 months... that makes no sense... and they dont inform you about that. If you decide to subscribe to the gym, make sure you read the whole contract. Unfortunately the Gym DOES NOT tells you transparently what are the whole charges. If you complaint, they will tell you that there is nothing you can do, and they wont refund your money.
I love going there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful whenever you need something. The classes are awesome and will definitely challenge you.
Trainers are very friendly and the other members are great to work out with. Great environment and many options to choose from to get I the best shape of your life, as long as you put in the same effort as they do.
The best! His energy and workout etiquette is stellar! Hes great at giving positive affirmations and encouragement to get you through his killer workouts! You need some Alex in your life!
Im not a great gym person. Im not one of those people who loves to work out, ugh, I hate it and consider it a necessary evil. Im notorious for belonging to gyms but then never going, and I end up with a lot of guilt for both being lazy and for spending money for nothing. I should be Catholic with all of this self-induced guilt. Ill look into it.
This place has become a second home. The staff is incredibly inspiring and encouraging. The equipment is well taken care of and there aren’t any big egos ruining the camaraderie. The coaches are second to none and the classes leave everyone dropping and gasping so I would say they’re effective too ;)👊🏽
Ive been at UFC for almost a year now and can say this is easily my favourite gym in the city. Not to mention, this is the longest membership Ive held at any gym. The coaches and even employees here really take the time to get to know you and sometimes make small conversations. Most employees at other big gyms wont really care that much about you. This is honestly whats kept me around this long. I love the boxing classes as well. The only cons would be there isnt as much machines or equipment as other big gyms. But to be able to take MMA or boxing classes AND have regular gym equipment, is a win win for me.
Ive been going to UFC for about a year now and love it. The staff is very friendly and it feels like a community/family more than a gym that you just go to work out. Norman is my favorite coach at the gym because he makes you work hard but still likes to have fun, definitely look for him if you want to get in shape!
Fantastic vibe. I’ve been a member for over 4 years. I really recommend this gym.
My experience there has been awesome. The staff there are badass and they treat you like family. You learn so much there. Its also a perfect way to blow off some steam. All and all; this place is perfect.
Awesome gym! The trainers keep you engaged and makes you want to come more and more. The atmosphere is great, the staff there really treats you like family. They ask questions like what did you eat today, hows your diet, and give advice and recommendations. The value supercedes the price (which is pretty decent in what you can get out of this facility).
Friendly coaches, the gym provides everything for a nice shower after working out.
Gym is fine, customer care was not. The manager was extremely unhelpful when I pointed out 8 months after I moved out of the country that my credit card got charged.
Amazing people, they treat you like their family and will teach you the fundamental of martial arts🥊💥
Its not an Opinion when I say that this place has alot of personal issues when it comes to Jealousy. I was banned from this Gym for choosing a Pretty Woman that the instructor wanted and the Staff tried to make it look as If I was problematic for drinking water in the Mens Bathroom sink. Not only was I shocked at the behaviors of such supposed Professionals I am now going to sue Corperate for the minor complaints which was never brought to my attention until after the Ban. Church Street Boxing Club has a more respectful facility If you want honesty and a Caring staff.
The class I attended wasnt good, but they want you to sign up that day. I will pass. There are better boxing gyms in NYC.
Ive dropped in at this location quite a few times in passing through the city. The gym is spacious and has all of the functional equipment you need, including a lifting platform and bumper plates for oly lifting. Classes are suitable for beginners or those just seeking a workout. Progressive training is also available but at a higher cost.
Ive been a member now since October of 2018 and Ive never experienced a gym like this. I used to waste so many memberships in the past 5 years with NYSC, Planet Fitness, Blink, and Retro Fitness because (and I didnt know this at the time) the traditional method of working out was monotonous and uninteresting to me. I work in Staten Island and live in Queens so every morning on my way to work I stop by this SOHO location and their hours are perfect (6 am to 11 pm on some weekdays). Luckily upon signing up I was given free training sessions. Ill admit I expected this upon arrival and looked at it as a sales pitch but nonetheless I took advantage of the offer and it was a blessing in disguise! Jeff has been my personal trainer since October of 2018 and Ive not only gotten stronger but Ive learned so much as well! Ive learned all about proper form, functional fitness, the value of exercises requiring compound movements, dieting and discipline. Ive attended the Boxing/Kickboxing conditioning classes, jiu jitsu classes, DUT (Daily Ultimate Training), Muay Thai personal training, Kickboxing and Boxing fundamentals classes and Ive made friends and learned so much. I like attending these self defense classes during my rest days from strength training due to the emphasis on technique rather than overloading the body so there is ALWAYS something to do even on your off days.I would highly recommend anyone who wants to improve themselves to join this gym ESPECIALLY if youre a newbie like me.
Got bored at the gyms but I since became a member of UFC gym, I feel happy n comfortable !! I love the classes, the equipment, the coaches, the people, everybody is friendly, ready to help me! I already see changes in my body! Is great !
All the people here are friendly and staff is very supportive
This gym has an amazing atmosphere and they offer tons of different martial arts classes with different dynamic trainers definitely. My home gym
Great Gym... Im taking DUT and boxing classes with Coach Norman Bahij and he is the BEST coach at UFC Soho NYC :D
It’s only 2 days there and I really love the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, their hospitality, and definitely respect their honesty in all humility. If anyone has any issues here it’s most likely because you’re not minding your own business, and looking for trouble with respectful people.
Love this gym! Have been going there for over 2 years now! Great classes, great coaches, great people
Great group classes by competent motivating instructors. Diverse equipment, clean facilities.
Even though it’s a commute, I come down to the UFC Gym for classes several mornings a week. I love the coaches (Jaymark & Noel & Norman in the mornings!), they push you hard, but take the time to get to know and encourage their students. Every day, there is a different style of class to keep your body training (TRX, kickboxing, circuit training), all tied together with boxing elements. I tried many different boxing studios on ClassPass before settling for a full time membership here. The rates are extremely affordable for the quality of training you receive. Love it!!
Love this gym, staff is great, classes are incredible, full compliment of standard weights, plus all kinds of creative equipment that is more suitable for sport specific training.
Because the staff is very good 👌👍
Prices fair rate can’t get any better onlyDid 1 day free trial I can tell you this iron sharpens iron! Love it!
The staff are incredibly friendly and the instructors are always ready to motivate you!
Great gym, great equipment, Great eye candy, music andGAY GAY GAY ...i mean G A Y! hahaa full of circuit queens with the perfect bodies.. now i see where everyone molds themselves into shape before Manny Lehmans big partyies hahaAfter the gym its off to Pavillions for groceries and then California Chicken Cafe for a quick carb fix....doubt me on this... just go there sometime after the gym.. its pretty funny:) HAHA:)
PROS:-Good coaches-Good classes-Good equipmentCONS:-Its not 24 hours, they close at 10:00 pm...-Sometimes the punching bags they have are not enough for the amount of people.
You really feel like working out at this place!
Usually I got bored at the gyms but I since became a member of UFC gym, I feel happy n comfortable !! I love the classes, the equipment, the coaches, the people, everybody is friendly, ready to help me !!! I alredy see changes in my body !! Is great !!!!
Horrible customer service, wouldnt let me use the bathroom when I was in desperate need and wasnt even nice about it. My family owns tiger schulmanns and they would never treat people that way. The bald guy at the desk should be embarrassed to call himself a staff member at a gym. The gym is supposed to be a place of respect and growth, which he clearly had none. I will never sign up there and I will let the fighters on the tiger schulmanns fight team know what happened, because they do work in conjunction with them sometimes. That mad embarrass the name of UFC gym.
Horrible gym, staff is so unorganized and unprofessional. Husband also got norovirus from their gym
Pros & Cons Detail Review hope I dont get kicked out lolI have been around as far as gyms & dojo academys go. No gym is perfect but they are good enough. This will be a detailed review. Im a active member & I keep it real. Its a very nice gym 3/5 stars.Pros,1)GREAT equipment2)They have a sturdy octagon ring3)The lockers are over sized which fits all my equipment4)Locker room perfect5)Free weights and machine6)Cardiovascular machines7)Plenty of heavy bags, spaced out well8)few small ones and a upper cut bag too9)Pull up bars and with assists machines10)A large tire11) green step boxes for jumping12) place is clean doesnt smell like a foot13)staff is niceCons1)The floor under the bags isnt for kickboxing, its for a normal gym. A lot round kicks or pivoting will eat up your ankles and knees over time.2) its hard at times to hear the bag coach give their drills do to music being too load or bags blocking his voice.3) its hard at times to hear the coach in the octagon do to the music4) temperature is fairly low in the ring due do to a skyline. When I work out in there im breathing in some cold air thats killer.5) Coaching is what you would find in a free program or the YMCA. If your a beginner and dont know any better you will learn bad basics/mechanics. That is unless you pay for private classes of course :/ which coast $.7) sparring is unsafe. When I was sparring & saw a sparring class. The sparring is unsafe / treated like a joke. I say this as a Professional Black Belt Teacher who has been doing this for 17yrs. You dont put people you never seen or met before to spar. You dont put people who have a few days or less then 4_6 months to spar in boxing or kick boxing. Thats how people get hurt, you lose clients and gain a bad reputation as the place people get hurt. The coach has one pair of eyes and is supervising 12 people sparring in a ring while his sparring himself. Thats insane! He cant make corrections over the music, he cant be really vigilant.Over all its a gym with a fighters theme: GREAT IF;1)you know what your doing2)Have a buddy to do drills with, so make a friend :)3)you have money for privates classes4) if your looking for a place to train on the side from your dojo5) need special equipment for training because your in a competition6) if your looking for a place open 24/5 this place can work Saturday/Sunday not 24hrsFinal thoughts its a good gym but they need to define their product a little better when it comes to the martial arts or maybe Im wrong. Check it out for yourself and write your review :)
Place, energy, the focus, the staff makes it feel like home away from home 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Good luck... it doesnt exist anymore
Probably the worst experience in my life. Don’t sign up with them. They’re not flexible and do not care about their customers
What age should you be to join. Like I could but my kids.
Worst customer service ever. Never train there!
Nice
RUDE trainers is an understatement
Good place to train
$35 walk in fee. Small gym. Rude staff.
