Want to give a huge shout out to Matthew Montana. The leasing process was absolutely one of a kind. He was professional, easy to work with and very responsive. I had to do a video walkthrough due to being out of town and he had all the answers, just like I was there onsite. Cant wait to move into the building!

NICE LEASING OFFICEBRIAN from the leasing office gave us a tour. He was very nice, took his time to show us various 1 BR Apartments. He listened closely to what we were looking for. Sent follow-up emails to keep us posted on any upcoming availabilities. Although we ended up signing a lease in my old apt, we have to say we felt very valued and welcomed by Brian. He was one of the very few leasing agents, who was not arrogant or gave us the feeling that we were wasting his time. Many other buildings treat their prospects in an unacceptable way - even in Covid times. I hope one day they will have to pay the price for their rude behavior.

The flats are nice however not very well maintained, and they are too expensive (which you will probably wont care of paid by your employer). My flat needed a paint as all walls were very dirty. The is a decent size gym and swimming pool. A roof terrace too, although its on the 5th floor or so, not on the top on the tall buildings. The staff working downstairs are fantastic. Views from the top floors (mine was 48th) can be amazing, either of New York or New Jersey and the Hudson river.Until here is like any other new residential apartment in NY, nothing exceptional. I ended up here with my employer however I work not pick up this myself. And the reason is the location! The towers are situated at the very West of 42nd street, and public transport is bad. Nearest subway is Porth Authority which is like 15-20 mins walk. Not ideal, especially if it rains as there is no way to cover. The is a bus on 42nd but you have to walk to take it as well, and the stop has no.protection against the weather either so you will get wet. In the mornings there is a shuttle bus to Midtown but is very slow with the traffic. Also, there are no shops or anything around there. Only ONE groceries shop and ONe coffee shop, which you can imagine are super expensive since they know there is nothing else around. If you can go and live somewhere else.

Ive lived here for quite some time. It was once a great building, I believe the change started when they switched asset managers. The building is very poorly maintained, management has been sub par since the change over, and they try to get you to renew at 12-20% increases - even in a post covid market, and are asking you - a tenant who has always paid their rent on time for many years, for substantially more then they are charging new tenants on much higher floors. The doormen only open the front door, but not the door to the elevator, which is a covid hot box. The carpets on each floors are stained and wall paper peeling off. Ian dennis their leasing asset manager is very unpleasant to deal with and in my opinion a total bully - and there are a lot of tenants who feel very mistreated by his lease renewal strategy and approah, of which a neighbor just mentioned he was one of the reasons they were moving, very agressive, unreasonable person. Sadly, I would advise to look else where. PS. they havent washed the windows in years and dont provide standard building upkeep. If you need something and it is inconvenient to management, they will ignore you. The massive leasing signage is unsightly, and in the main crossway between the two buildings the wall sticker is peeling and hasnt been replaced since it was built. The garage is also pretty terrible in all regards.they took a lot away from the amenity space after redoing the floors. It was closed for quite some time and when the reopened, new floors which are poorly installed, and less amenities etc. only stained chairs etc.All in all this building has slipped from something that was once pleasant to a bit of a slum. Sad to see. I for one, will not be renewing.Oh, and the new gym is more expensive, has an absurd schedule, and the outdoor space is being policed - which is funny because all of the security guards often just stand around chatting with doormen or telling you not to make a U-turn in the crossway, or checking you out to make you feel awkward when loading your car, but it doesnt appear much else is done by them whatsoever from all appearances.

I have lived here for a couple of years. The front desk staff is very attentive and friendly. Even during the pandemic, when everyone ordered everything online, there was never a long wait for a package. The building is very clean, there’s a staff person dedicated to disinfecting commonly touched areas throughout the day. The maintenance guys fix anything ASAP, even on weekends. The amenities are never crowded. Last summer, there was a rude tenant that hoarded three seating areas on the rooftop, so I think they need to watch that out more closely.

I always have a smile on my face whether its interaction with the front desk or the community. That sense of community makes living here that much better. The front desk is always extremely helpful and the security team is always active. The Maintenance crew are so hard working and amazing..they are on call 24/7 and the turn around time( from asking for a repair whether through building Link or calling it in) to then having a staff member address it is literally same day or same hour or less. The services provided are outstanding and the events that the management team put together as well make it a pleasure to be a part of and look forward too.Great amenities, the park is awesome, Huge pool, Sun deck, gym as well as various classes to take part of from yoga to work outs. BBQ are and lounge are great for parties especially during the warmer months. All piers and Hudson river are minutes away from the building.. walk over in about 5 minutes from Lobby exit to the river front.Unlike other properties that tend to be uptight this is a refreshing and welcoming change thats an absolute plus+ which makes the environment that much more comfortable. So much dedication with consistent work on the property mangers part /management staff on all levels... such as tenant satisfaction, addressing concerns as well as the consitent email updates and building notifications are thoughtful and helpful.Awesome department dedicated solely to Resident Relations providing community events with a consistent monthly calendar full of dates to look forward to such as theme parties... Games and and exclusive invitations.I have been a resident for a very long time and never reviewed a place I have lived in the past. But I feel I need to with the silver towers. Because I am so happy here I want to express this to others. I know this is a long review lol but I am very descriptive and passionate about my home. With all that said I obviously highly recommend, that if you are looking for new residence please take a tour of The Silver Towers, you wont regret it!

Havent lived here, but a couple friends have, and the staff is always very friendly. The common areas are nice, and weve done several grill outs on the common terrace. The units themselves are nice, though some of the floor plans are odd. The pricing is generally more reasonable given that the location is out of the way, but like all mega rental buildings, theres seasonality too the rent, and the numbers seem to fluctuate randomly week to week, though are generally higher in the summer and lower in the winter.

Going on our second year and this is a nice place to live. Every place has its good and bad....I read some of the other reviews...1) We NEVER hear ANY of our neighbors... we are in a corner apartment so maybe that has something to do with it..regardless...we never hear anyone.2) The club is cool...hours are a bit limited, and access to 7 is not included in the rent...but we were paying for a gym membership before we moved here, so what is the difference.3) The building provides a shuttle bus...I dont take it..I drive everywhere ..by choice...HOWEVER, my better half of 20 years does take it..everyday.4) Staff is amazing5) Parking in the lot below is ONLY $450 and NOT $700 like one review said...the lot was just taken over by Icon..good parking company with lots around the city...6) The building is very responsive...however, we rarely need anything...so not sure we have actually tested the “management” waters..lol...but after you move in, how often do you really want or need to speak to the landlord?7) You should be solvent to live here...its not a cheap building by middle America standards, but it is NYC affordable - Welcome to the Big Apple!Im giving the building all 5s because the things I dont like are not the issue with the building, but rather my taste...we usually live in brownstones..and we wanted to give the higher floors and huge windows a try..they are not for us...but that is not the buildings fault :)

Per the below review, I agree with thin walls. I can barely sleep every day and noise complaint doesn’t do anything to the management.Update: constant drilling and construction on the Units. Forget working from home.Thin walls. Pot smells on the hall way, extremely loud AC/Heater unit. Appliances are old and dont even work functionally. What’s worse is this creepy guy in his flip flops talking loud on his phone and following you at the gym every day. What a weird place to live. Very beautifully laid out, pet-friendly apartments (main reason we lived here, and partners work paid for a portion). The gym is meh so find some other to go to in HK.Transit isnt as close as others however they have a cute little (secured) bike storage room where we kept ours so that wasnt a big issue. Right next to Hudson bike road and (too close for my liking) neat all the touristy stuff.Biggest drawback: the building across the street that has obstructed all views of the city.. and constant construction that interfeares with exiting the pickup area on the street level. Being on a higher floor didnt help either.

I have lived at silver towers for about 3 years they were the worst in all sence of the word.they nickle and dime you and have a lot of fine print. They treat you as though they are doing you a favor for living in their building. I felt as though I was living in a hotel, a pretty hotel but a hotel. I ended up being engaged at the 3rd quarter of my lease and they wouldnt give me an extra key for my fiancee. They would charge me $100 if I needed to use the master key and take my word for it do not move in or out during the weekends ita $350 to use their feight elevators and free any other say i have never heard such a thing and i have been living in luxury building for 10 years they treat tenants like peasants

When we rented almost 2 years agoBe aware everything is extra money - not a huge deal or unexpected in New York but still keywords: nickel and dimeThe pool is unusable because of the hours and nothing is convenientIf you use public transportation it is a small nightmare to try and get across from the subway located just a few short blocks away was a really like a mile - through the sea of tourists and unruly individualsThe constant protests in front of the embassy at the end of the block are lovelyThe constant car accidents at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel where Ive seen personally for people get hit crossing the street is a real added bonus, its a Real Life drama to cross the streets. The construction across the street that completely destroyed my view that I was guaranteed wouldnt when I signed my lease and this consistent noise from traffic as well as construction that I could hear on the penthouse floor was lovely - just the calming relaxed experience we wantedThe bathrooms look great but there is no place to store anythingThe kitchens look beautiful- trying to cook and is as bad as my first studio part when I had no moneyThe neighbors are great youll get to know them very well due to the thinwall and the fact you can smell everything - the mosh pit-marijuana people that party at all hours of the night were absolutely the exact neighbors I was looking for and I never actually physically met them but I know so much about them- I could hear every word they were sayingOh and then con Edison making myself and all the other tenants responsible in writing for the buildings entire debt because the building didnt pay their electric bills on time- was just an added bonus (obviously the building paid the bill once they were embarrassed in question by all the tenant)Since we moved from the building in June its amazing how much lower the cost of been for transportation to the next get somewhere without having to rely on my own car (parking the building is an extra $700 ish) or taxicabs add a few thousand dollars a year.I paid quite a premium to live in a building- and it was a very negative experience for us.If youre a high net worth individual most people need to be to live in that building - in my personal opinion I would spend my money elsewhere and did ..the building isnt all negative there were several bright spots such as building staff is wonderful and very accommodating.Building is kept clean, and would be perfect for a corporate apartment or is a limited part time use.And the building is mostly safe, some of the pets can get unruly. Our personal experience from attempting to actually live in the building was not great - and based on the premium I was paying to live in it it was downright horrible for us, overpriced for pretty but useless to live-in apartment in our opinion. In any of the positive reviews Ive been reading - I dont think those people actually live there... Looks like some PR digital marketing agency add themmy husband and I, are well-known individuals, subsequently we have chosen to keep our identities concealed -but felt compelled to have someone write an honest review of the living experience
