Great location! The staff was great also. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and neat. We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed at this location for a few nights to see the city with kids. Loved the location. Loved the breakfast. Superb staff and customer service. After our first long day in the city and returning g to our room so late, we realized we needed sheets for the couch bed for our youngest. The maid arrived quickly and so nicely put the sheets on the bed for us, with such a great helpful attitude.Would for sure recommend to families and other.
Poor Customer serviceProsThe hotel is located near the subway . only a few blocks away. The suite was spacious.CONS,Beds uncomfortable. The front desk (Joann) is rude. I was reminded several times that I booked through a third party. You still got paid.Cleaning people need to pay more attention to detail. 4 people in a room. need at least 4 bath towels. nope, they would leave 3. Had to call and ask for it.resort fee daily, (dont have a problem paying it) was suppose to be gym access and bottled water in the room. had to ask for it everyday and was told only at check in. wait i am paying a resort fee. When I booked it was suppose to be Continental breakfast included. Well that changed to buffet breakfast for 2 only. there were 4 in my party and that was 16.99 each (buffet not that exceptional at that price) On Saturday (breakfast 7-945) it was late almost 730. had to leave without breakfast because we had a tour booked. they would not comp that for the next day. wanted to charge for a diet coke as I do not drink coffee or tea. Had to ask for water.American Cut is the restaurant that serves breakfast and is attached to the hotel. Rude there as well.Checking out had to ask Joann for a printed copy of the bill for the resort fees. Did not want any surprises .Asked the door man to hail a taxi for us. He wanted to have us use the hotel car at 65.00 to the airport. Seriously the taxi is only 43.00 with tip.I would not recommend staying here to anyone, and I travel for a living.
Reminds me of Washington DC boutique hotels - located on the Eastside close to the 4,5,6 subway stops and the pencil building. Knowledgeable concierge staff and door people (its a union shop). Management doesnt always return calls though - still a nice place, decent rooms and rates.
The Lombardy features privately owned condos opposed to hotel rooms to stay in. It gives a much more cozier feel than a hotel. The location is great, being in midtown everything is easily accessible. The service was wonderful. Free bottled water was provided (even though NYC tap is the best drinking water in the world). Most rooms come with a full kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning there when I would like to stay in Manhattan.
Beyond spectacular customer service and accommodations. The room was huge (and clean) and staff so accommodating. Next time we are in NYC we will definitely be staying at The Lombardy, no questions asked.
Excellent Hotel. Large, beautiful rooms. Great staff. Left my coats in the room and they mailed them back to my home promptly and with care.
Beautiful, historic hotel near Central Park. Recently renovated & with all the modern amenities, wifi etc. Concierge was very helpful. Professional & friendly staff, great breakfast/brunch & nice bar. Great views of the city. Some rooms have great balconies. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful rooms. Great service and very helpful staff. Great location. Close to many shops and subways and a 24hr drug store.
If I could give it 10 Stars I would! This building was built by William Randolph Hearst for his mistress, and it is absolutely beautiful. The lobby is decorated impeccably, and the service is amazing as well. The people that work there obviously have a ton of experience in the hotel industry and they knew what they were doing. Every request that we made was promptly done, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. My only complaint was the water pressure which cant really be helped in a high-rise in New York. I will definitely stay here again!
Cant believe I forgot to write this review. We stayed at the Lombardy for two days. My husband was initially very disappointed in the room that they provided but they were accommodating and moved us to a much nicer suite before I got there so I never even saw the disappointing room. The hotel was quiet and welcoming and the staff was very kind. Its a cute little spot to stay in.
Great hotel. Friendly staff and it has all the bells and whistles. We loved our room and our view.
The Lombardy is everything I wish my house looked like. It was like I was living the dream. Thank you for the amazing breakfast too!
Found via Hotwire. Totally and completely exceeds expectations. Beautiful, large room. Unexpected kitchenette. Staff warm, helpful, welcoming. No better place to stay near Midtown.
Nice desk service but only one elevator and breakfast had same options daily. Restaurant in hotel but no room service available. The price per day for room would expect overall better amenities.
Great location easy walk to most places. Great to have separate sleeping and living areas. Great staff, helpful and friendly. Would easily stay here again. Highly recommended
This is the second time we have stayed at The Lombardy and it was wonderful. The staff is so courteous and kind and assures you feel welcomed and at home. Couldnt ask for a better location! Five stars!
Awesome hotel in a top location. Jimmy is the man! Top notch service. Bit tricky to catch a Lyft from outside the hotel but best to walk onto Park or Madison or grab a local yellow taxi instead which is priced similarly.
Very clean hotel and super helpful staff at the reception, housekeeping staff do a great job, excellent location just that the breakfast menu was a bit limited and boring...rest all is amazing 👌
Our fave here in the Big Apple. Wonderful rooms. Great staff. Always nice to be back. Location is perfect. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Great older hotel. Very good service. American Cut excellent stakes.
This place is for sure haunted, but very cute and weird. I didnt die despite being afraid of the ghosts in it. My room was weird and every room is different because it used to be apartments owned. Its soooo spacious much larger than typical hotel rooms. The restaurant attached has nasty breakfast (but free) and the hotel has a tiny fitness center.
Very spacious rooms and friendly staff! Great location to boot
Extremely huge rooms for NYC! Never though that you can find this space for that price. Friendly front desk, Amazing cleaning services. Best stay in New York so far, 5 star!
Beautiful hotel located walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall, and Central Park. The front desk employees are helpful and courtious. The suite we are in has an elegant, old-fashioned, yet modern feel to it. With a separate living and sleeping area, it is perfect for extended stays.
My one week long stay was really nice. The location is perfect, the room was quiet, cleaned and serviced every day with a small but convenient kitchenette. To improve? Very little actually. Complimentary tea/coffee would be nice as they are pretty much standard anywhere.
Experience was ruined by mustache bellboy/doorman. Inexplicably rude!!! Saw me coming in with stroller and luggage, absolutely no help and when I looked at him his remark was ”You can manage it!” unbelievable
Excellent located hotel, friendly staff. Albeit a bit pricey for my taste, but thats probably because of being located near Central Park. The breakfast is sub par, not enough variation.
Small boutique hotel, where the staff will remember your name.
The stay was good at new york lombardy hotel. Rooms were big enough and clean. Service was too notch too. Loved the breakfast. Will recommend this hotel.
Upgraded to a suite fab room and comfy bed. Also very quiet! Breakfast included lovely service
Beautiful hotel. Very unique. The staff was really friendly until the last day. After I finished my ballet class I came back to the hotel to retrieve my suitcase from the doorman. I was wearing a sweatshirt and tights. They were not as accommodating (I believethis was due to my dresseddown attire).I also had a problem with the shower during my stay. The drain was completely clogged so much that I was unable to shower for two days!We notified the staff immediately, but they didnt fix it for two days. Then when we complained again they changed our room. When we went up to our room in order to pack our things, they had already sent two men up to fix the drain.Unfortunately they fixed it overtop of my toothbrush, hairbrush, and some of my makeup!! SO DISGUSTING!!Everything had to be thrown out. I was not compensated for these destroyed items.Overall very displeased.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and nice. Maid service was great also. Would definitely stay here again.
My friend always stay here and it’s a great stay. Great area and looks super elegant since it got some renovations.
Good price vs quality. Very friendly and helpful staff and decent breakfast. Ok-ish gym, rooms normal NY standard. Great location on a quiet street.
Ive been here many times and always had fantastic experiences. Its a very unique hotel where every room is different from the other. The location is exceptional, just a quick walk away from Central Park.
Location is great, love being able to walk to everything. The room is clean, awesome shower and bed. Housekeeping stops by several times a day.
I stayed with the family for a couple of nights in the big big city. Good locationThe Staff was couteeous. I would go back
Convenient location, affordable pricing during new years eve. 1 bedroom suite was very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The front desk staff was also very friendly and accommodating.
High marks for the outstanding staff. All rooms are different and many are individually owned so there are some inconsistencies. However, breakfast is good and the hotel is clean with nice decorative appurtenances.
On the week of May 19, 2019 we stayed three nights at the Lombardy Hotel to attend our son’s graduation ceremony in New York University. The hotel was fully booked out during our staying. The size of the room is average but the bathroom is spacious with enough towels you can take baths two times a day. We lived on the 11th floor and the room looks like newly remodeled with everything new, but without coffer maker and small refrigerator like room on 9th floor our relatives stayed. The hotel is located close to many attractions with about 10 - 15-minute walking distance to many shops on 5th Avenue, central park and the Museum of Modern Art. All the staffs are very friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. The room has a king-size bed but our daughter changed her mind and hoped to stay with us. We called the front desk and in minutes a folder bed was brought in and the house keeper made the bed. The hotel also offers very nice and formal breakfast in a restaurant in the same building with multiple choices and decent quality. Upon check-out the hotel did not charge extra bed which was really a bonus. Overall it is really an overwhelming and pleasant experience without any issue. We highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful place to relax. . very friendly and accomodating staff; wonderful ambiance and a great place.
Good location. Room was spacious but also incredibly dark - very little natural light because of external work and the lighting in the room was substandard. I would not stay here again.
Great place to stay in NYC had a great experience very large room.
Nice big room with full kitchen. Window open fully, which helps with temp control.
I enjoyed my stay here as I was away on a business trip, I must say the views are quite a scene. Very clean & cozy with an amazing staff.
Have stayed previously with great results. This time (2 nights) not so great. Staff is WONDERFUL. Room furnishings were something out of a college dorm - really cheap, barren and impractical - and appear to be from a flea market. Coffee pot was broken and overflowed - what a mess!
Beautiful hotel at excellent location near design center. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice to have small kitchen for breakfast in room
Simple and quiet. The location is happily on a street that doesnt back up much so Uber can get there fine. Free wireless and the TV system was pretty good.
It’s home in NY 🥂 love this Hotel, the staff and the door men are the best !
Clean, pleasant staff Hi Paul and definitely will recommend and return. PS breakfast and staff very pleasant
Upper East Side..... in the heart of everything! Beautiful views, beautiful and spacious suites. Upscale atmosphere.
Very cool concept. The rooms are privately owned and most get put in the hotel pool when not in use. Great bang for your buck.
Tens tens tens across-the-board this hotel is phenomenal being in the room the ambience the people theyre so chill and relax if you have the money I definitely recommend that you spend it because this is a phenomenal Place phenomenal location however the parking is a bit screwed up
Great location for midtown meetings. Very clean, friendly service, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
A very good residence / hotel in a great place of NY. all apartments are different.
Room was great, staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was also in a good spot.
Attentive staff. Great studio apartment. Renovation on the outside is a bit noisy.
I was racially profiled by the front desk (Nelson Garcia) during my check in. Ive attend a variety of high end hotels during my life time and I have to say this is by far the worst experience i had ever. He asked me was my card fake. Then he took the initiative to go ahead and copy my state i.d along with my credit card. I said what for he said it’s policy cool. What bothered me the most is that during this obsurd act other guest were checking in with the other front desk employee right and the other front desk guy asked the guest for the i.d and form of payment took a brief look at it passed their id back and swipe their card and handed it directly back to them. He didn’t ask the other guest “if their card was fake make copies of forms of identification nothing what Nelson did to me. I ask Nelson hey how come your co worker didn’t follow the procedures he goes the extra mile and throws buddy under the bus and say he’s only been here for a week. I was so embarrassed in front of my company.
Excellent hotel when staying in this extremely busy side of town! Very nice, clean and they are always updating and renewing. If you are in NY for the holidays and you want to walk to Bloomies, stay here! You will not be dissapointed!
If you are Spanish speaking, the best hotel in Manhattan
Really nice place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Location and facilities are very good. Breakfast is quite nice as well.
Our one bedroom suit was perfect. More of an apartment than a hotel room, the rooms were large and well appointed. The kitchette was more than sufficient. The desk and bell peesonelle were attentive and helpful. The brunch was good, though the coffee was undrinkable and there were not enough tables for late risers. It was like getting an AirBnb except with daily maid service and bellboys. Well definitely look her first next time were in the city.
Great location....comfortable, stately
Really great staff, very helpful with everything.
We went for a long stay.First they gave us a horrible room, after the first night we complained and we got an excellent renovated room. The only problem we had was the wifi didnt work for the first 6 or 7 days, but they made it up for us. Overall, great hotel.
Nice place, large rooms withe a very nice wood floor. The view is not amazing but its quiet.
I visit my barber there, and shes great. The hotel seems very nice and quintessential New York.
Good room size and good location but it is the typical for a NYC hotel room you not the best view looking straight across form a apartment and prices range high a little over priced but over ok hotel considering the room size.
Good location, breakfast included, good price, nice room with small kitchen
Stayed one night room was very clean and nice. Surprisingly quite for being in the city
Great hotel, friendly staff, the rooms are excellent, work out facilities are alright and clean, great location!
A very nice hotel near a lot of night life. The room was beautiful, very modern.
Verý good place and service👍
The hotel is really nice. our room was a suit on the 15th floor. amazing balcony, though there was no porch light.Rooms were great, alot of space. And the bathsrooms are clean, has hot water and may towels.Staff was nice and helped when needed.Overall very nice expirience.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Our a.c. was broken which made the summer heat a little unbearable however.
It is a nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Location is convenient.
Nice hotel in the middle of city life
Beautiful rooms; attentive staff
Fabulous week long stay @The Lombardy.
Nice hotel in a great location. A little pricy but service here was great.
Nice rooms - good service - good price-quality. Breakfast very basic
Not a bad deal for how nice it was. Ill be booking it next time I go.
Expensive, but you do get what you paid for.... Awesome location, within walking distance of everything
Room was clean, staff was friendly. I have no complaints
Really nice hotel, spacious rooms and nice amenities. I didnt personally stay there but was amazed at how huge the rooms were.
Very nice staff and rooms very clean.
Good service and very comfortable room in the heart of NY
Very good location and nice place
Large clean rooms, friendly staff!
Very nice location. I got a haircut in the salon downstairs.
Old hotel not everything work despite the price but central NY city
Big clean room in a great location
