Do not rent at this building. The construction is not cosmetic, but full re-configuration of every floor plan. They are renovating 10+ apartments at any given time. There is daily, deafening drilling and blasting which can be heard across the building. Work from home? Forget about it. The elevators are constantly broken resulting in contractors and a man reading a book sharing your space during a pandemic. The new owner is prioritizing money over the safety and comfort of residents. Dust, dirt, nails, screws and trash will be part of your daily life. It will be years before one should consider calling this place home.EDIT: I have reached out multiple times to management at the number in the comment below and the response given was unapologetic with an explanation of their 3 month lease break penalty. They referred to the construction rider buried in a 100 page lease document allowing them to disrupt daily habitability in order to capture higher rents.
While I havent moved in yet, if the Management is any indication of the caliber of the building then this is an incredible place to live. Ive lived in NYC for a while and have never encountered a more responsive, courteous, and smooth rental process then this one, especially during this challenging time. Erika and Raquel are not only great at what they do but they are also extremely easy to work with and nice. The apartment and building seem great as well and it looks like theyre making further investments to upgrade the amenities and units that will no doubt add to the community
