I contacted like 7 different staffing agencies in the city and CitiStaffing was by far the best and most responsive. I was able to find a wonderful job within a few weeks of speaking with them, they walk you through the whole process, and give you resume tips and interview prep that was invaluable. Lauren, KP, and Jackie were so helpful throughout the whole process and I cant thank them enough. 10/10 would recommend!

I had a very disturbing call from Lindsey. In the past I worked with this agency with no issues and was very happy to communicate with them regarding job opportunities. Then one day I receive a call from Lindsey asking me if I would be interested in a position as an EA to a Investment company. She goes on to say, the position is available ASAP. During the conversation relates horrid details regarding a previous EA claiming to have a relationship with an Executive and the company is now in a dispute. She then proceeds to ask how would I handle the situation. I told Lindsay, I was not familiar with the situation and therefore could not comment. Few months later I receive a call from Mr. Daniel. I was asked to come in and meet with the team. The next 15 minutes was very awkward and embarrassing. No questions regarding my previous experience, instead I was eyeballed with hostility to reasons unknown to me.It is my belief this agency received some negative feedback from a reference I provided. However, to not share the information with me or just take this persons word for it makes them a guilty party. I have NEVER had a sexual harassment case against any employer and have worked flawlessly in all my positions.

I was placed in a fantastic full-time role within one month of first contact. I received the initial call from Tristan, and she scheduled me quickly for an interview with Lauren. I worked with Lauren throughout the interview and selection process with the company. I have never had a recruiter prepare and debrief me before/after each interview; it was so helpful. After I accepted the offer and started the job, my contact has mostly been with Tara (their follow-up specialist). But Lauren and I still check in with each other and I have referred a friend there for placement.

I must say that my experience with Citistaffing was the absolute BEST!! I have nothing but great things to say about Howie and Tara. Howie has such a wonderful personality, he was like a father guiding me every step of the way. The Feedback from Howie was (100%); and he was very honest as well. This is my first time working with this agency and I was placed in a full time salary paying job with a reputable company. Believe me when I say, I’ve worked with numerous agencies and never had I experienced such professionalism and at the same time felt like a “person” and not an item or product. They don’t just place you or throw you in any company they value your opinion, and they coach you along the way. What I love most about this agency is, even when you’re placed with a company they assign someone to follow up with you until your probationary period is over. This is where Tara came in, she was so easy to talk to; lovely spirit. Tara followed up with me just to make sure that I was comfortable and encouraged me to reach out to her if I feel like I was being ill treated in anyway (which is kept confidential). The team at Citi Staffing is more of family(yes that includes a little bit of chaos) than a company. I worked with Faye, Lauren, and Pam and within 5 minutes of chatting, it felt like they had known me my whole life, almost like aunts.Yes what you read is true, they will have you there for some time. Yes, you will be reworking your resume, but you need to understand that what they do is not easy. They need to spend time with you, how else with they know where you will excel professionally? They need you to make improvements to your resume so you have a better chance of landing the interview. They have relationships with the employers, which gives them insight that they pass on to you by working with you in the way that they do.I cannot thank the family at Citi Staffing enough. They found me a great job that will be a career for years to come. Working with them was an amazing experience and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about finding a new career.

Very unprofessional company. Lauren Hacks to be exact. I went in for an interview & Lauren was very helpful in the beginning. She insisted that I was great for the job, help me tweak my resume and she told me she was going to send the resume into the job and get back to me. 5 days gone by no message. So I decided to reach out myself, and on every single occasion, she MADE the Receptionist Emily, tell me “she’s away from her desk, “ try calling back she stepped out” “she’s not in today”.So I started to feel like she was avoiding me, which didn’t make sense because she was Super helpfulllll during the interview process. And specifically told me, “if this job isn’t for you i will help you with anything, I just want to help you. You’re so pleasant” If it’s one thing you don’t need to have bipolar or people with spit personalities working in an office where people like myself depend on them. She is crazy, unprofessional & just not right to behave in a manner. skip this agency !!

In this stressful job market, theres no better team to help put your mind at ease while you get in the ring, and fight your way through the interview process, over and over again. They really are fantastic job coaches or match makers who listen, learn, and do all that they can to place you in the right work marriage. I really enjoyed working with them.

Unprofessional at its best. Contacted company to discuss high level Executive position as I am passively looking. When asked if I could speak to the person running the position, so I can learn more about the structure of the position, which seemed highly unusual, I was told that they dont have time to speak to me when they get over 3,000 applicants a day. Expressed that I am highly qualified and holding a similar role at the moment...guess they are more interested in protocol than making sure the company they are representing finds a fit. As an executive myself, I will make sure our HR team does not partner up with them.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been applying to numerous amounts of jobs and was recommended to go here and several other staffing agencies. I got an interview with Laura Stacks so I was excited for the interview.After I was held up with Laurens family issues on the phone about her nephew being sick In the hospital during an interview which is very unprofessional, I have gotten nowhere with this company. Mind you, there were about 6/7 kids running around the office like a mad house, hard to even get a word across.I then was sent back to the waiting room and waited for the staff to get back from lunch, which took about 30-45 minutes and once I finally sat down with Lindsey, she took all of my info and said it shouldnt be a problem to find me a placement with the credentials that I had.Its been 5 weeks that I have sent her 8 different types of emails and not once has she gotten back to me, not even saying that she is still search for an opportunity for me. Meanwhile all of the other staffing agencies have gotten back to me every single time Ive contacted them, and more.I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone, I will also post this onto any other search engine that would help people save time by avoiding this agency. This place is a complete waste of your time and hope!Oh and FYI ... With my resume I already got picked up at JP morgan as a Business Analyst. Absolutely NO Thanks to Citi Staffing.

Pushed temp opportunities more than permanent ones, even though I stressed wanting permanent options (I was looking to move closer to New York, I wanted stability, etc). I am in a temp position right now so I cant complain- a paycheck is better than none, and the company they placed me at is really phenomenal.That being said, I felt a little taken aback when they sent me on interviews for permanent positions and then told me that the hiring process wasnt going to be immediate; obviously, I was led to believe the openings were open for a reason.Im absolutely bewildered by the complaints with professionalism; these recruiters were prompt in returning my calls, lovely people to work with, and only had my best interest in mind. Ive worked with five other recruiting companies, and Citi Staffing was by far the best experience Ive had.

I wish I could give this company one star. They post a lot of big jobs with big salaries but when you get there is a whole another story. I arrived on time for my appointment and waited an hour to see Lauren Sacks-this is truly incredible! She spent less than 15 minutes with me and kept cutting me off during the meeting. Extremely unprofessional given that everyones time is valuable and they just simply dont care. I came all the way to the city for this meeting so for me, I had to deal with it and just wait for the meeting; otherwise, I will just ask to reschedule. Not to mention the fact that they mentioned a few full names of their clients during the meeting- I was completely shocked! Save your time and go to other companies!

This is by far the best employment agency I have ever worked with, and I have experiences from other agencies. Jane and Julie treat me like family. They even congratulated me on getting married and are very understanding of family situation. I show them baby pictures!! I literally love them. I have gotten really good advice from them regarding other job opportunities I have been presented from companies or employment agencies. They want me just to land a job I would love even if it means they don’t make a commission. They have presented me with multiple opportunities, rewritten and worked with me on improving my resume, helped me formulate excellent thank you notes....they really have devoted a tremendous amount of time and resources in me. They’ve presented me with jobs that pay much more than I’ve ever thought I could make. I would imagine any negative review would be from people with an axe to grind. Sometimes it works out with agencies sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve turned down jobs with other agencies and they then go ghost on me. Not citistaffing. They are literally career advisors for me, and I don’t pay them a dollar. Love them over there...

Like the other posters, I wish I had read and appreciated the other reviews for CitiStaffing. Their recruiters bring you in without even having read your resume, then proceed to berate you about how youre completely unqualified for the position. I should have taken one look at their low rent office and bolted. If the staffing firm is reading this, I have one HUGE piece of advice: recruit better recruiters.

Applied for a entry level position they posted online, and never heard back from them in regards of whether or not I qualified for the position. I decided to call them and check on my status and the person in charge went on vacation and just never called me back. The person I spoke with told me that if they dont feel like a person is qualified for the position they just wont waste their time letting the applicant know.

CitiStaffing is an amazing office, the women are fabulous, professional, and have a real desire to help you. If you are smart, high energy. and dressed appropriately then you will definitely have a great experience. Each recruiter will help you every step of the way: everything from rewriting your resume to following up after you have been placed at a new job. Love this office!

Citistaffing was AMAZING for me. Not only did they get me a job, BUT while I was unemployed and working on interviewing they hired me temp AT THEIR OFFICE. Shady, shifty, rude, and unprofessional.I applied to a full-time Executive Assistant position at CitiStaffing through LinkedIn. A few weeks later, I received a call from Barbara with CitiStaffing, asking me to schedule an interview with one of their executives, Faye.The day of my interview, I enter the agency lobby, greeted by a rude receptionist. Do you have anywhere to be today? she asked me. Not today. Good. She shoves a pink paper in my hand and looks back to her computer. Looking at the clipboard, it appeared to be a temp application, not a job application. Twenty minutes after my appointment, the receptionist, who was scrolling Twitter, told me to go back and see Faye.Unguided, I went into the open concept room and see one lone woman; apparently, Faye. I shake her hand, and greet her saying Hi, you must be Faye. Hows it going? Her first words to me are, If you get an interview, dont say that. Thats unprofessional. Taken aback, I apologize. She tells me to sit down. So, what do you want to do? I tell her about why I want to be her executive assistant at CitiStaffing, the job for which I came here to interview. When explaining my aspirations and availability, she tells me, Why should I place you in a full time job when you can only work until September? I reply, I was hoping for a full time position that may have an opportunity to scale back. There is no such thing.She proceeds to ask if I will work as a temp. I tell her I am not looking to temp and I was under the impression I was applying for a full time position. She tells me based on my interests and current employment, she doesnt even know why I even came in to see her today. She tells me to come back in 2 months and excuses me without showing me out.Needless to say, I will not be coming back in two months. Clearly, this company uses the bait and switch scam: entice young professionals with high paying entry level positions, then get them into the temp system, pretend they didnt post the job they listed, and encourage the applicant to temp for them instead.Even if they were honest, the staff is still rude and unprofessional. With all the temp agencies in NYC, dont waste your time at this one.

I have read some of the reviews here and I do not agree with some of them. Citistaffing is amazing they truly helped me. I have dealt with many agencies close to 10 and the way they treated me was above and beyond amazing. Super caring, always responded to me even if they was no news. I highly recommend them. Jen K and Margie Strauss are fantastic !!! Cannot rave about them anymore. Trust me I have literally met with every agency in NY and they have all reached out to me. Citistaffing hands down the best.

Applied for a position and was called within 24 for an interview. What a waste of time. Clearly, this company uses bait and switch scam. They post full time positions, then encourage the applicant to take temp to perm positions instead. Once reiterated I was not interested in temp I never heard back from them. I followed up via phone an email.

Great experience, truly helpful! I felt super supported throughout my process of applying and hiring. I met with Julie and Elizabeth at Citistaffing literally right after speaking to a recruiter at another agency who told me I would not get the salary I desired or even get a job because I was a stay at home mom for so many years. It was crushing to say the least, but these women picked me right up and helped me get my resume updated and ready to get back to work. I am now happyily employed.

I wish I had read the reviews before going. They post many many high end jobs with big salaries but when you get there is a whole another story. They are extremely late seeing you, rude and condescending. They ask you are you in a rush today? you can be there anywhere from 20 mins (rare) up to over 2 hours!!! They encourage candidates to LIE to employers in interviews, in their resume etc etc Their offices are crowded, loud and they dont even remember who you are in the slightest. They dont listen to you AT ALL, they cut you off and shoo you away. Its so incredibly unprofessional. Not only that but its such a waste of time adn they job you initially applied for are completely non-existent. Just bait to get you in. I was so actively looking for a job that I decided to put up with it and just try and see if they could actually get me in the door with some companies but not even that!!!! They dont even reply. Do NOT waste your time with this company, they are complete garbage.

I would absolutely recommend skipping this agency. I found them to be unprofessional and there was no follow up from them. Don’t waste your time here.

STAY AWAY. I just read other reviews here (I was coming here just to tell others how unprofessional it is but looks like others felt the same way)I responded to a job they had put up (salary, requirements and everything was posted) however when I got there they didnt mention it and said no jobs in my field that I was looking for were available and that they will contact me when they hear of something. Pathetic way to get people in to make their quota.Also, as I was speaking with the lady, one of her coworkers behind me was CURSING up a storm with another girl and my girl just laughed. SO unprofessional. I literally wasted a day of commuting down to the city and the $$ to get down there for a 20 minute interview if you want to call it that.

I wish I had listened to the other reviewers. I thought maybe that was just THEIR experience. Maybe mine will be different. Well, needless to say, it was NOT. Citi Staffing is a complete and utter waste of time. Do NOT waste your time with them. They will fabricate job postings to lure you in when said position doesnt even exist. Once you have wasted your time and money traveling to their office, they have you fill out a form, talk to you a bit, and then send you on your way never to contact you again.

First off, they were late to meet with me. I had originally responded to a job they posted online. When I got there, they were clueless about the job post I responded to. They went on to say that there are no other jobs and that I should just sit and wait until something comes up. The consultant then went on to say I should talk to my parents about job opportunities...WASTE OF TIME.

I’m a firm believer in opportunity and timing makes for quite the killer combo. From its inception, my experience with CitiStaffing has been great. I came across a CitiStaffing LinkedIn posting for an assistant position at a leading lifestyle fashion company and immediately applied. A few days later, I received a call from Barbara asking if I could come in for an interview the following week with Faye. I met with Faye and she was absolutely wonderful. She introduced me to Lindsey and Caitlin to tell me more about the temp assistant position. Turns out, I was able to land an interview with this company the next day. I interview with this company and literally, as I am writing my thank you emails, Caitlin calls exclaiming that I landed the temp position and how my employers loved interviewing with me. Throughout the entire interview process, Caitlin was always readily available, providing me with guidance and useful tips. Not to mention, 8 weeks into temping and I was able to receive a fulltime permanent offer. Opportunity + timing couldn’t have been more right. I highly recommend working with these wonderful ladies at CitiStaffing!

Complete waste of time. Scum of the scum recruiting. Applied to a job online and was called in for an interview the next day. They then told me that the job wasnt available anymore, yet they are still posting about it on job boards. Clearly it was just a ploy to get me in their office. It ended up being an unwanted resume critique by a women who seemed like she took too many doses of her Xanax that day.

This staffing agency is a complete waste of time. They dont return your calls nor do they respond to your emails.
