The place is too pricey and there isnt a welcoming staff. What theyre looking for is whats in your pocket and NOT to get a regular client unfortunately

I got my suit tailored here few months back. I am so so so satisfied with the outcome. I first got my suit tailored around Pasadena but they messed up and Denim Surgeon Tailor was able to fix no problem. They are really skillful and very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you need your clothes tailored. Seriously 10million starts for Denim Surgeon Tailor.

You can make an appointment online which is very easy. The fitting is quick and I was seen right st my appointment time. You can pay half up front and half when you pick up which is nice. They told me about a week and that was exactly how long it took. The most important part is that they fit exactly how I wanted and you can’t even tell they were altered. The back pockets were my favorite part to the pant and they look exactly like they did before the alterations. Would recommend!

I cannot say but wonders of this place. Have send all my jeans to their tailor shop for proper fitting and each every time came back fitting amazing. A little on the pricey side, but if you love your jeans you would not trust it to anybody else. These people know what they are doing, courteous every time I text them, prompt every time I text them and follow directions to the T. Will continue to use int he future for all my denim repairs and tailoring and hope they will be around forever. Denim Surgeon you got a customer for life.

First off, I would like to say is my experience overall when I account all the factors wasn’t good at all but... coming out of it I’m not angry or even disappointed per say. It’s more of a learning experience.Pros:- When I talked to the person who deals with customers/customer service, she was nice and respectful.- The work done was above average from your typical local alteration store. And even though I had higher expectations, I’m not mad at it.Cons- Their online process for people who aren’t local is lackluster and not efficient. Does it work? Yes, but it isn’t good. I strongly believe they need to have an application form to allow people to make an order before even receiving the product in the mail. Why? In my case, my package was sitting in their mailbox for 5-6 days after it being delivered and they didn’t notice it until I called them up. Now I should have investigated earlier but still. If they know ahead of time with some type of online form submission that alerts them ahead of time, everything would be more efficient and worry free.- I had a knee blowout in my denim, decently sized. My local alterations didn’t do a great job but it was $8; it was expected, more or less. Now when I spend $45 + 7(to ship to them) + 15(their invoice flat rate shipping) = $67 for that same job, I expect an exceptional job that blows my expectations. Like I said before, it was maybe 2x better than the alteration store at most. Darning a tear should be blend with the denim to becoming almost unnoticeable. This missed the mark.- When I called again a week after my invoice to see what was the update. The lady on the phone said it will be shipped in 2 days. It was 3 days. Now this is a minor minor issue but it is a valid con when they can’t accurately give information. Though everyone messes up, I personally put it past them.- Lack of communication/updates. When a job takes 2-3 weeks. It is good not to leave the customer in the dark about their product. We give you our email and a reachable number, use it.- I’ve looked at some of their other competitors, which are cheaper. They advertise* the same if not better quality service for a lower price. One being Self Edge, if you’re a potential customer, I’d look at other options based off my experience.Overall, I did my best to stay objective with constructive criticism. With it being said, I wouldn’t recommend their service for their price and lack of communication. This was at the NJ store

Very pleased with the quality of repair on these jeans. They fixed a significant crotch tear in my old Levis and it has held up several months so far. I admit, there is another tiny crotch hole showing up, but its higher up than Denim Surgeons repair, so they cannot be faulted. My only criticism is that return took about a week longer than expected. I would definitely do business here again if a major denim repair was needed.

They did a terrific job of altering a pair of green, velvet jeans. The work was done in a timely fashion, and at a reasonable price.

What an amazing place, I brought in my brothers 15 year old black denim jacket and Levis engineered jeans (from the laaaate 90s) and they basically made them look new again and repaired every hole and tear to perfection. The price is set at a New York premium but these people are reasonable, give good deals and do impeccable work. My go to tailor . Worth the trip to midtown from waaaaaY OUT in Astoria 🤗😬

There comes a point in every jeans life where it may be in the best interest of the general public to just move on. My favorite pair of jeans all-time fell into this category and I knew that Diesel had only made this specific pair for a short period of time and finding a new replacement would be impossible. Relegated to this fact I searched the internet in desperation for a place to fix my battered jeans - a pair that was un-salvageable in my mind. Enter Jean Surgeon and their simple repair process. A few weeks later and once again I can wear my favorite jeans without worry. The repair performed was of the highest quality and the price, in my mind, well worth it. Thanks to Denim Surgeon I saved $190 after repair costs on a replacement pair. I highly recommend the work done by Denim Surgeon. Cheers.

This operation is atrocious – they LOST my favorite jeans and REFUSED to compensate me so I could buy a new pair. If you are thinking of using this service, take your money elsewhere – they are incompetent to the extreme, and their customer service is nonexistent.I dropped off my favorite jeans to repair a torn belt loop on December 11th, and paid extra to have my jeans shipped back to me. By January 18th I had not received my jeans. I texted Denim Surgeon at the number on my receipt, and they told me they shipped my jeans TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. Despite neatly and clearly writing my address on the receipt slip, Denim Surgeon shipped my jeans to a completely different address. When I alerted them to their mistake, did they apologize? Offer to make the situation right by giving me money to buy another pair of jeans?? No, they did not. Rather than apologize, Denim Surgeon told me to wait while they tracked the package and tried to get it sent back to the store. Not surprisingly, that approach yielded no results. I had to follow up multiple times until finally they called me back. I told them it would cost $250 for me to buy another pair of jeans to replace the pair they lost. They insisted I send them a link to verify that price. I did that. Then they insisted I provide a receipt for the purchase of my original jeans, which I declined to do -- they lost my jeans and now its my responsibility to remember where and when I bought them, and dig through past credit card statements? That’s insane. I’m a working parent and I do not have time to do that when Denim Surgeon are the ones who LOST MY JEANS. Then they ignored me for a week. When I followed up AGAIN, they told me they filed a claim with USPS to track the package – again, another insanely stupid action on their part because USPS did deliver the package, but it was Denim Surgeon who gave them the wrong address! I told Denim Surgeon they had a choice – do the right thing and compensate me for jeans, or I would write an honest yelp review about this situation. In response, they called me “abusive” and “not cooperative” so here we are.Avoid them at all costs.

My shopping experience was as bad as can be. Sent my jeans in mid May. DS had failed to tailor them by July. DS returned my jeans finally unrepaired and without refunding original shipping costs. Communication with this vendor was very poor. I never understood what the problem was.
