They did a great job at a good price, and they even picked up and delivered my item.I had a shower curtain that was too long and needed hemming. Some other shops quoted me excessive prices for what should be a pretty simple job since its a straight line, but magic fitters was one of the few with a good quote. They were responsive, and the price and timeline were exactly as they told me upfront.

We were in town from Canada for my daughters graduation and needed an emergency hem on her graduation dress. We needed immediate (same day) turn around and these ladies were willing to help and saw us right away. The cost was very reasonable and fair. They did a fantastic job and were so easy to work with. I cant say enough about how happy we were with the service and quality of work.

So happy I found magicfitters! I received alterations to a maxi dress Im wearing to a wedding. I have a petite frame so I had to adjust the straps, length and split of the dress and they sure got the job done. It looks as if I bought it from the store. The only thing is they are a bit pricey when it comes to dresses of that sort but I think its worth it. I would definitely return.

Oksana and her team are really amazing. I rarely write any reviews but want to make sure to recognize this place for the great customer service and work.They did a fantastic job with my wedding reception dress (hemming, tightening/adjustments around the top, adding cups etc) under a short timeline, meticulously fitted it 3 times to make sure everything is right (versus trying to give something to me that works but isnt perfect). They listened to my concerns and requests patiently every time. Thank you for making sure my dress is as perfect as it gets!They also did a great job with my work pants fitting (hemming and tapering). I plan to use Magic Fitter as my go-to place now even if I live in a different neighborhood.

This place is fantastic!I bought a suit on Sunday at Brooks Brothers and was sadly informed that their on-site tailor was out on vacation. I needed a few adjustments done to the suit and seeing that it was Sunday, I spent the day researching tailors that were open in Manhattan on Monday.After narrowing it down to three, I decided to go with MagicFitters; it helped that the reviews on here and Yelp were great, that they had an easy to navigate website to make an appointment and the prices were competitive with some of the tailors in Union Square and the Garment District.When I came in Monday morning and told them I needed my pants hemmed, sleeves lengthen, buttons added to the jacket and extra fabric removed from the back of jacket; plus I need this by Friday at noon at the latest. I was told, “how about Thursday at 5pm?”. I was also asked to come back in later that day with my shirt to see if it is worth lengthening my jacket sleeves (spoilers: it was not needed and they saved me $45).I came back Thursday at 5pm picked up the suit and loved it!!Not only is the staff very attentive, but they did a fantastic job with my suit. The stitching is top notch and it fits amazing. I’m definitely telling family/friends/coworkers to come here.

I was helping Magic Fitters of New York with their commercial lease agreement and decided to try their services. The fitting was in my house, I was so pleased with that idea. I saved a lot of time and had a possibility to tailor many suits. Everything was done according to my taste. I feel so confident wearing my outfits after their wonderful work. I just had my pants and top totally redone by the incredible team at Magic Fitters. I am very particular and pay a lot of attention to detail. I also like things made to perfection. Natalia took my items nipped, and tucked, shortened and fitted both items to my exact specifications. She did a better job than I could ever have expected. Both my top and pants fit like a glove and I received tons of compliments. They made me feel very comfortable and the job was completed way ahead of schedule. Natalias work is the extremely high quality I cannot recommend these women more - It was definitely the best experience Ive ever had with a finished product that surpassed all of my expectations. And space is beautiful, only adding to the experience. Highly recommend!

I have two dresses that needed help. One was from LoveShackFancy a linen dress that was huge all around. It had a zipper side and flower detail throughout. I didn’t know what could be done but thought I would bring it in and give it a try. It had shoulder detail that wouldn’t even stay up and an elastic to help create the bunched detail on the shoulder. The bust was supposed to be fitted but would barely stay up. I wanted to love the dress but didn’t even know how it was supposed to fit!My other dress was ripping where the strap meets the body of the dress. It is a 100% silk dress by Dries Van Noten. It appeared the dress would have to be taken apart for repair so I hoped for the best!Since I was going there anyways, I brought my favorite bathing suit that had a broken closure. I figured if anything it could just be stitched up?I brought all three items to Irina hoping for the best. With a smile, she grabbed all three items and said NO PROBLEM!I came back to pick up and I was amazed at the work she had done. I have had the hardest time finding a tailor in this city I can trust! I go to Irina for everything now! I even have her repair clothes that have issues at the clothing store I work at. She has repaired what seems like hundreds of buttons (huge quality issue with our factory thank god for Irina!), zipper breaks, alterations of all kinds.I believe in buying nice clothing to last a lifetime but sometimes they need repair over time! Thankful I have Irina to turn to. I cannot thank you enough for always smiling and repairing what seems like the impossible!

Not only do they have the best prices, but they also have tons of ideas when it comes to taking in clothes or even taking clothes that aretoo small to adding fabric for the perfect fit. Last week my friend suggested to me this new tailoring studio.Recently I lost 20 lb plus, and my entire wardrobe needed to be re sized a couple of sizes down. Meeting Natalia was just Gods gift. Not only did she know tailoring and body type, she understood what I wanted instantly. Today I picked up my first couple of suits. Im bringing my whole closet next week. Impressive, its not just alterations it is ART.

Shortened 4 blazer sleeves and was pleased with the results. I could see how communication could be unclear over the phone however the owner was proactive to call and follow up on the status of my blazers. Everybody was very courteous once I visited and did a great job with my blazers.

For my friends wedding party I ordered dress online, unfortunately dress was too big. Thankfully Magic Fitters dress fits really nice now. I am so happy! Great customer service, affordable price,fast and quality work. I definitely will use them again!

The MagicFitters are excellent! Best tailor in the neighborhood! I bought a very loose fitting Hickey Freeman suit and then came here. I wanted them to slim it down, so it was a tighter, on-trend fit. They tailored the entire suit perfectly. I would recommend this tailor in a heartbeat!

I was recommended that no one else does the impeccable job as they do. It was an expensive dress but it was 3 sizes bigger. It wasn’t just a regular alteration- it needed compete resizing. At first I was hesitant with dropping my dress off anywhere but when I picked up my dress it was PERFECT ON. I was not disappointed with the lady’s work. Amazing job.

After spending about a year looking for and considering alterations/tailoring professionals in Manhattan, I was introduced (by word of mouth) to Magic Fitters. Since then, I had three visits with them and every time received an impeccable, fast service and clothes (pants, dresses, skirts) that now perfectly and comfortably fit to my body.It really makes a difference to get your favorite clothing fitted, and Magic Fitters does not shy away from a challenge of any kind (which is in stark contrast to many other tailors I tried). For example, they transformed a size M dress to size S by fitting the shoulders, waist, back and adjusting the length -- a total transformation!In addition, you do not need to know exactly what you want to be done to your clothes. The Magic Fitters professionals will make recommendations and suggestions for making your garments work for you.Furthermore, they treat your clothes with respect and care, so, unlike my experiences with other tailors, I did not have to send the clothes to a dry cleaner to be steamed, etc. before wearing them again.The studio is spacious and well-lit and is conveniently located across from a subway stop on 16th Street (F and M trains).

I called and was quoted $120 to shorten the sleeves for a blazer. Simply outrageous. More affordable options within blocks away.

This place is great! They hemmed and took the waist in on a pair of my pants and got them back to me within 24 hours, just in time for my vacation. I tried to go to another tailor earlier in the day but they said itd be 3-4 days and more expensive, so Im glad i found MagicFfitters. I wanted to give this tailor the opportunity to alter a Brioni tuxedo with the care it necessitates. I asked some questions to verify that this was a legitimate business and was rudely dismissed and told that my questions were strange. Cannot recommend this tailor based on my experience.

Magic Fitters is truly amazing!I contacted them 4 months before my wedding for special project. My niece who is 5 years old, was my flower girl. My mother saved my flower girl dress from 1995/1996 and I really wanted my niece to wear it. I emailed them and Oksana answered me right away. She said that they would be delighted to take on the project.I made an appointment and took the dress in along with my niece. Oksana and the seamstress looked at it, took my nieces measurements and made suggestions on how they will make the dress more modern, but still keeping its original feel. I am beyond happy with the job that they performed! Magic Fitters really took the dress to the next level and it looked beautiful. I recommend them 100%. Great customer service and a job well done. My family and I were introduced to the this place ruffly two months ago by a close friend . Since that time we have had at least 25+ different dresses and suits tailored to our specific needs. No matter how nit picky our requirements get, they are always kind and patient enough to help us get the prefect fit.

This is the place to bring your nice clothing to. I vetted several tailors before choosing Magic Fitters. Oksana, the owner, is very professional and fair. She does not quote outrageous prices. They do quality work there and the prices are very fair for their workmanship. She was the only tailor whos solution to shortening a 3-tier wedding gown was to shorten and move up all the tiers so that the dress will look balanced on me. Multiple tailoring shops suggested hemming just the bottom tier - at the same cost or more! At my first meeting with Oksana, I brought my gown and tried it on to receive her suggestions and estimates. If I declined certain suggestions, she was absolutely cool with it; she does not get upset as Ive seen others do. I felt very comfortable with Oksanas expertise and pricing, so she was the only tailor that I immediately handed my gown over to at the end my first visit without having to think about it. When I returned for my 1st fitting, the fit was already 99% perfect! The only reason we even needed a 2nd fitting was to shorten the dress by another inch. Im happy to share that it was an easy, pleasant bridal experience. Another bonus is Oksanas studio is lovely and spacious. Its pretty and a joy to visit! When I picked up my gown today (at the 2nd fitting) I even dropped off 2 more quality dresses for Magic Fitters adjustments. I wanted to give this place a try and asked politely (twice) for an approximate quote to alter a wedding dress and got vague (confusing) responses each time thru email with first Oksana and then Natalia. Doesnt give me confidence to work with them and makes me think the pricing is arbitrary.

I accidentally came across a nice looking banner on the scaffolds of the building at corner of 16th Street and Sixth Ave. Unique color combination that makes you curious what is it about. The name said “Magicfitters Your personal tailor”I recently picked up my tux from the tailor I usually go to, with some hesitation about the fit. I probably wouldn’t care much, but I’m The Best Man at my best friend wedding, just few weeks away from it. To make my story short, the next day I walked into Magicfitters personalized tailoring world. What an experience! With a magic touch Natalia transformed my awfully fitted tux, as I understood within first few minutes, into a fashion iconic look. Honestly I never had a suit fit that well.
