Santos is amazing. Love him and his service along with Zoilo who cleans cars here. Its like they run that office on their own.

Absolutely the worst rental ever. Will never get a car from Dollar again. The air conditioner of the 2018 Nissan Rogue never worked and even had hot air radiate when no air was on. They put a paper in the car at pickup that cites the car was sanitized but there was a used dental flosser in passenger door well. A chicken bone rolled out from underneath the seat. The worst was the smell of cigar smoke. The only way to travel was to roll down all windows to be able to avoid the smoke smell. Absolutely unacceptable!!!!! Lastly, the gas cap was covered by painters tape and paper covering the gas cap completely. No one checked that before we rented it. I understand we are in a pandemic but this is the worst experience and was a joke regarding sanitizing and caring for customers. NEVER Again. I have pics of all this

My partner and I recently rented a car for one day. We picked up and dropped off on time without incident. (Well, besides the MASSIVE delay to get the paperwork done and the car delivered out to us, which is always the case with this place.)When the charge came through, it was over three times higher than expected. Wed been charged for a three-day rental plus late fees!! My partner disputed the transaction with the card company, and was told that Dollar said we returned the car two days late. !!! We asked that they speak to Dollar again, because this was not true. We had no way to prove it, unless they were to look at security camera footage of us returning the car, which we of course didnt have access to. It was their word against ours. And they wouldnt budge - the charge remained, and we paid three days for a one-day rental because Dollar lied to the credit card company.I would recommend never renting from this place, unless you want it to be their word against yours as to whether the car was actually returned.

Did an early morning pickup, an hour after they opened. There was one employee in a small booth next to a parking garage.I had already prepaid a reservation via Expedia...No issues with processing or surprises.Car seems fine with a few minor scratches but no damage, seems clean enough to me.Location is very close to the exit of Battery Tunnel, very easy to reach from my neighborhood south of Prospect Park via Lyft (20 mins! Light traffic on a Wed 8am morning). Prices were so reasonable relative to other rental options in Brooklyn for a last-minute rental during a busy period (near Easter / Passover) I might do this again.

They just messed up up my transaction

I waited outside the shop for 5 min and I could see the employee behind the counter talking to his friend inside. Waited, and waited and nobody attended to me so I thought maybe he didn’t see me. I opened the door for him to scream WAIT OUTSIDE.Well, you have no signs to help me know what to do, you didn’t even bother making eye contact and when I open the door you didn’t have the courtesy to ask me to wait outside politely.In covid19 times, I understand why the employee doesn’t want me in. Believe me, I don’t want to be with them in enclosed spaces either but I can’t give you the benefit of the doubt for being rude.

Kind people, and decent car selection. Somewhat overpriced but good for a last minute quick turn around rental.

Excellent service experience here. When both picking up the vehicle and dropping off the staff here was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything went well. Especially Santos who was working the front desk when I picked up the car, he was great and very helpful. They gave me a brand new car with only 20 miles on it and was freshly washed, no complaints. Will rent from here again.

I would like to start off by saying that there was no damage to the car or anything in it. They did have fair prices, for NY, and they might be great for other people. My experience however was not good. When I pulled in there was one sign, small words hard to read, so i didnt know where to pull up. I grabed my stuff got out of my car and gave my keys to an employee. They where busy so I left my car with them and went on my way. When I returned, there was a line to get your car back but the employee that was supposed to be helping was not paying attention and never communicated with his costumers that he saw them or that he would be with them as soon as possible. I waited about 20 minutes for my car and in that time what I saw and heard surprised me. When driving the cars down the ramp the employees would honk and go way to fast, I could here tire screeches! They would talk to each other but never the costumers and seemed reckless with the cars. If I went back I wouldnt feel safe giving them the keys to my car.

I am glad I rented a car from here. Reservations was quick and easy. Every person I came into contact with provided excellent customer service. It is nice when businesses appreciate the customers with hospitality. I was offered bottled water while signing paperwork. The guys in the area with the car were friendly and laidback.I really enjoyed the car which was a Honda Civic. Another plus is the car was clean, new with low mileage

In the last week i rented two times at this location. Each time one day rental. The prices are ok for the city. It was a week rental. Much cheaper than a weekend rental. People who work on this people are nice. It is very convenient location for me.

Car had numerous scratches all around the rear bumper. I was petrified that I would be charged for it. I made an employee stand next to the car so I could take photos. He was cooperative LOL. Upon returning the car with a full tank they charged my card $18 anyway just in case. I rented from Budget but everyone there says its Dollar. Really!

STAY AWAY from this unprofessional rent car.The fake review if you see someone give more than 3 i was worked with this and i know is fake and horrible costumer service .The supervisor will make everything for you lost your money.They charged me,they was irresponsible and do not protect or do anything for the client.I will sue dollar in small claim and i rent with other rent car company.

Great Customer Service Representative Santos you have here, speaks with ease and courtesy. He turns his monitor around to show what hes talking about when in doubt and not taking advantage as well.

Its very difficult to find the office, why they dont have a sign out on the street, I dont understand. Otherwise fine.

Worst staff Ive ever seen. Very unpolite, innefficient and lied about having the car we had reserved and paid. 2h later admitted the cars werent even there yet. The car was dirty and needed maintenance. They force you to prepay the toll card which I learned later it wasnt required.

I live reasonably close, service is ok- professional enuf and cars were better than hertz in battery park city

We rented from the agency on 339 south end in manhattan. We received a half tank of fuel, we were told by the driver to move from the parking before we had time to check the level of fuel. When we returned the car we were charged 50 usd for not returning a full tank. It was 3/4 full, which was already 1/4 more than what we received. We complained and were told we were liers by the agent.No customer service.Theft.Lack of honesty.
