This barbershop is all over the place. The lady will cut your sides and back to almost skin no matter what you say. But she does understand what a trim up top is. The male barber will straight up buzzcut everything, ready for military action. I said a trim up top and he took off almost everything. He asked if it that was too much after shaving off probably 3 inches. I said yeah but its a little late now. Its an odd location too, the door doesnt work right so they have a doorstop to keep it closed. So every person asks are you closed because you are forcing your way in. Also, Fox News blaring, all the time. I can handle all of that, but its been 2 months and Im still just getting a tiny bit of length on my hair back. Wont be back as hed probably shave me bald next time around.

Very unassuming establishment, but a great find. Older Russian woman gave me a cut and she did a great job. Shampoo before/after and she paid attention to my blend and did an awesome job. Left with one of the best cuts I have had in quite some time and I particular and have paid more than I care to admit on previous haircuts. Oh yeah and a shoe shine on the way out the door. Recommend highly. Bring cash though.

Ive been coming here for over 10 years and I love it. The owner and all of his employees are very pleasant and are great at what they do. The prices are better than anywhere else in midtown, they wash your hair before + after and can accommodate any requests / special directions. I wish all of the businesses in the area were as efficient and well run as this one. Despite moving offices from west to east midtown, I make a monthly track from the 2nd Ave to get my haircut as I cannot get as good of a cut anywhere else (believe me, I tried). A+

BAD quality haircut. Friendly people at first, then when they know you are a reoccurring customer they treat you poorly. Haircuts are rushed and not done well. After my last haircut, I realized the hairline was not lined up properly. I returned during my lunch break and politely asked to have it adjusted. I was told I need to pay an additional full haircut fee to fix the mistake they had made just 3 hours ago. I highly suggest you get your haircut at any of the other fine establishments in NYC.

Just tried Romas barber shop for the first time and I instantly became a regular. They wash your hair twice, before and after the cut and give you a top notch cut for a very fair price. Felt like I got a great deal in this neighborhood!

High quality barber shop. Have been here a few times before and always get exactly what I need. Priced competitively for the area but feels that you get more for the money (such as hair shampooing twice - before and after the haircut). Very courteous customer service. Will keep on coming back.

Love this tiny place. There is no line except if you come just before it closes but then the owner usually helps to speed up the process.Prices are very competitive, my haircut with shampoo is 23 dollars plus tips. Never used the shoe polishing that is $3 i believe.I always get a good service and recommend this place to friends.

Today discovered Romas Barbershop at 210 W 50th…. I work in this neck of the woods. Wait is never long, I personally like no-frills, short haircut, and was not disappointed. The place is competitively priced, by Manhattan standards; I certainly will try this place again……………

I will never come back for a haircut from this place. My first time was insulting.. obvious they only prefer one type of client to pamper.. and I dont have the skin color. I came in sweaty, to obviously needed a hairwash before cutting.. but they just did it without it.. They had no choice to wash head during the process to finish the haircut. The other guy got a wash before he got his haircut and treated better. NOT EVER GOING BACK AGAIN! 😠😠😠😠

But the rest, you have to work on your customer service skills, that was not a way to treat customers. So no I am not coming back until there’s an improvement....

Only go here if you want a mean old Russian lady to cut your hair. They do customer service Soviet style. Only kind of haircut they know is military buzz cut. And sure theyll wash your hair, but its actually cold water.... No doubt like in mother Russia!

The guy who cut my hair wasnt mean but clearly did not care about what he was doing. Passed over everything with a buzzer, then called it done with no attention to detail. Overcharge for what they are offering-buzz cuts with a one handed shampoo thrown in.

I traveled from Spain to New York, and it was hot and humid that day,,, and I looked for a barber shop, and asked at the hotel near Times Square and they sent me to Roman Barber Shop and a girl cut my hair and I stayed surprised it was fast and good and it only cost me 16 dollars Wow and I wish I could have this barber shop in Madrid
