I needed a haircut today. Badly.I didnt have time to go far from my office so I Googled the nearest place and came upon this shop. I spoke with Jackie, who was a doll - warm and inviting. No appointment was necessary before 6pm, so I popped down at 4.30pm and had one of the best haircuts of my life (and Ive had many - some incredibly expensive) from Keith White - who was friendly, cool, and full of good neighborhood history and information. Keith gave an expert, precise, and very handsome haircut. I think I found my new barber shop in my new city. I highly recommend Morningside Barber Shop and Keith.

Showed up on a friday afternoon; one woman was braiding hair, one man was cutting hair. Two open chairs not being used. I’ve been waiting at LEAST forty minutes. Not sure if this is abnormal, but it’s a pretty long time to be just sitting around.

Basic barber shop. A bit unkempt. Friendly barbers with hair dressers doing ladies styles within close proximity. They need to revamp the interior. The area is a bit underhwleming.

Went in for a cut at 10 am no barbers available. inconsistant open times.went uptown to a shop on 125th street barber was ok but open in the morning

Pros - price. Cons - 1. Bad cut 2. Keith tried to swindle me after the cut saying price was 18 when my friend was charged 15 for the same cut a week ago 3. Keith also seemed sloppy/drunk while cutting.
