My wife use to come into this office for sessions. She use to bring our young son into the office while she was in her appointment. If you know my son he usually keeps to himself, always been shy. Hell usually watch videos on my wifes phone while shes in her appointment but the young red haired receptionist that was there was very kind to him. She got him to tell her what kind of things he liked. She printed out coloring pages for him and brought him crayons and markers while my wife was in session. She even hung his artwork on the wall. He still talks about it. She printed some pages for coloring to take home too. Me and my wife are very thankful for mindful therapy group and their doctors.
I tried to set an appointment on there and they kept giving me excuses again and again, when i tried to set an appointment with noah star they said they got the wrong person and ever since then they havent got a call, 100% wouldnt recommend
If I could give zero stars, I would! And I rarely leave bad reviews. Mindful Therapy group has absolutely atrocious customer service and an awful system in place.Several weeks ago I had an evaluation scheduled. It was scheduled for over a month due to a wait list but two hours before my appointment, I got a call that the provider is no longer accepting new clientsOk.. fine... I chalked it up to poor communication, it happens, right?Schedule another eval with a different provider CONFIRM THEY ARE TAKING NEW PATIENTS AND DO THE EVAL I NEED and the wait is another few weeks.Fast forward to my appointment date - ten minutes AFTER that appointment is scheduled and I am logged on online, no one shows up to my telehealth meeting, so I call to confirm to make sure I have my dates right (even though its on the portal and my email). Find out I WAS CANCELD ON AGAIN. No email, no call, no portal message. Then Im told by a customer service rep that they dont actually preform the type of eval I need. Ok - then why have I got scheduled for them and canceled on twice?? How did they not notice/catch that?Im normally a pretty level headed person but this is absolutely a joke of a system and customer service. I have now wasted two months where I could have sought out professional help somewhere else instead of holding out for nothing.Thankfully I am a rather stable person but mental health is no joke. If I was more at-risk individual I couldnt imagine being treated this way and the potential devastating effect it could have on an individual. This is absolutely not ok and not acceptable.Reading these reviews and their policies and how into cancelation fees they are, they should be giving me a cancelation fee... sheesh!
Not good people here. Got an email from my insurance to call for an appointment with Hannah Tuller. At 11:45am I called before 2pm today. When I called They claimed she was already booked. Not accepting new clients. Then they just keep asking for my credit card and wanted to set me up with a random my insurance didn’t recommend.Given my insurance called and got this information this morning before sending it to me. These people are liars they just want money. There NOT really here to help.
What I want to say is that I am SO happy and lucky that I found my therapist, Laurie Tucker. Our sessions together are really helping and I know she cares about me.
Im only still with them because I like my therapist. I agree 100% that they are mainly interested in money. The billing department incompetent. I think they avoid answering phone calls or dont have enough people to answer. I was just hung-up when I called to cancel an appointment.
I wouldnt worry too much about the overall review score for a place like this - it has MANY doctors, and the combined scores from all of them are of course going to end up around middle range. Research doctors individually for a better estimate of what to expect. I myself have had nothing but great experiences here.
I have been with this organization for over a year and while things started off great, they have become rocky if not intolerable over the past 8 months. My review is only for Mindful Therapy, not their providers. Each provider is different and has different specialties. While I do understand and can appreciate the struggles everyone is facing during covid, things have just gotten unacceptable. It takes over an hour of calls (10 min apart) to get in touch with someone. Have had to leave multiple messages in a general mailbox many of times having no return call to confirm receipt of a message. Billing issues, the billing department themselves no longer reach out to you, they instead have a third party (someone not connected to the agency) reaching out to collect money and they are not equipped with the correct information. Our current issue, they do not have providers in network (united healthcare is pretty common). We booked an appointment with a provider, only to have it removed by another scheduler, then told that we lost the appointment. We booked another appointment, only to have someone call back and say, sorry that was taken and we didnt realize it. Told that we could have a provider reach back out to us to try and open their schedule only for a week to go by and still no call back. I feel as though I am chasing a therapist down and when you are dealing with mental health issues, this is not the way to conduct things.I have a therapist that i enjoy working with, which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. My partner on the other hand is suffering through the anguish of trying to find someone all while dealing with what is thrown at him.I no longer feel as though this group cares about the patients, especially since we are not being seen in person. Such a shame that during this time of chaos in our country/world, getting scheduled with someone who can help is proving to be just as stressful as whats happening around us. Shame on you Mindful Therapy for treating patients/people this way.
Since working for Mindful Therapy Group I have grown so much as a person. Every day they help me grow within the role that I am in and also help me get to where I want to be. When I started with Mindful I wanted to help my community and didnt know how. Once I came on board they showed me how I can help others while also having the balance of my own mental health. I am grateful everyday to be a part of a company that works so hard to give back to the community.
Id give zero stars if i could. ive been with them for the last 4 years. my provider left recently, a month early before scheduled. nobody told me until i contacted the office directly. this happened in september, it is now december, and nobody has transferred me to a new provider or bothered to contact me about this either. ever since then, ive had to fight tooth and nail to get my medication from my pharm since, you know, nobody bothered to check in on one of her patients.
Worst experience Ive had trying to get behavioral health care. Received a prescription that required a prior authorization but the insurance never received anything from the office. Ive called multiple times and tried to help facilitate this but to no avail. Dont go if you need prompt attention to your health.
My provider is great. With her in mind I wish I could leave a better review. Billing and scheduling are an absolute nightmare. Every person Ive encountered at the desk or on the phone has had an attitude.I called in January to say I was running late for an appointment, and I was told I wasnt actually scheduled for that day. I rescheduled. When I arrived to check in, she said there was a no-show fee on my account from the appointment I was informed I didnt have. I was told it would be waived, and paid my sliding scale fee at the end of the appointment.Mid February I receive a bill including the waived no-show fee, and the fee I had already paid for the rescheduled appointment. Their records were $105 short on something I had paid in full. I resolved this again via email at the end of Feb.Last week I received a bill.. guess what? It was for the no-show fee - which had now been waived twice - and the same $105, also waived. After multiple inquiries including records of the entire email exchange from Feb, my bank statement and the original receipt, I am told I still owe them $150.. Apparently after everything was square in Feb, they sent me a refund for $105 that they didnt owe me, without informing me, and are now billing me for an additional $45 (total $150) supposedly refunded - again, for no reason - that I have yet to receive.Yes, its as convoluted as it sounds - Im being billed for a refund I wasnt owed, the total of which has yet to show up in my bank account.I dont know what to say. I sought services from these people so as to improve my mental well-being. They are actively doing the opposite.
I cant speak about the therapists, as Ive never been able to get ahold of anyone to even make an appointment. You call, the automated man tells you about 999 times that youre caller #1 and theyll be with you in a moment. I was on hold for 45 minutes as caller #1.They emailed me to say that they attempted calling me, but my phone showed no record of a recent call. Then they never responded to my email request to call me again. The one time it sounded like it got past being on hold and was ringing through to someone, it just rang and rang with no answer.Absolutely terrible way to run a business for people seeking mental help, especially in the world today.
Excellent group of providers!
Absolutely horrendous customer service! They are “PROVIDER FOCUSED NOT PATIENT FOCUSED” exactly stated word for word from their employees. This is NOT a place I would recommend to anyone. They could care less about their patients well-being, their focus is their pocketbook.
This is my first time even talking to a therapist and so far with two visits in, Im happy and only look forward to future visits in making progress. Mindful Therapy Group has a number of therapists, but I am only familiar with the one I have my weekly visits with. The front desk is helpful with any questions you have regarding insurance and they do a good job in making sure you are able to find what youre looking for your therapy.
Didnt even want to give this place one star!!!!The scheduler Lalita scheduled an appt with a provider that doesnt see minors! Even the provider doesntt know why it happened when he never has minor patients. But they gladly took my copay when I checked in and the front desk staff Nga want to tell me I need to wait months! NO. You all need to figure this out because it was not my error. But when I checked in they sure had no problem taking my copay and at that time Nga shouldve also known the provider didnt see minors. We will see if I get a follow-up call today as promised. They wouldnt even give me referrals to other ADHD testing sites. Horrible experience service and staff!
Not safe!
Great staff and love the providers!!! would definitely recommend without hesitation!
Love my ARNP, most effective treatment Ive ever had.
They accept Medicare and thats what I have. After being told on my second visit here that I owe close to $200 because I needed to meet my deductible, all of the sudden I couldnt be seen here or by the provider. I even agreed to do a payment plan that the receptionist brought up, but still was shot down. The first reason why they said they couldnt see me any more was I had Medicaid as a secondary insurance, which isnt true. I called DSHS, Medicare and Washington health care Authority and all said I DO NOT HAVE MEDICAID as secondary insurance, I dont have Medicaid at all! The only thing the state pays for is my part b premium. And that shouldnt matter from what I was told. But they kept insisting this was the reason. I honestly think they or should I say the provider I was seeing didnt want to see me anymore because of how I am because shes all about her money and god forbid that she runs into a little insurance problem and doesnt get her money cause thats all they care about and not your well being.
Excellent! The whole experience is professional in look and feel. The waiting area is welcoming to adults and children, always calm and relaxing. Therapy is for our daughter (13) and this is by far the best experience she has had. Dr. Dobbeck is professional, yet funny and kind. She is recognizing the benefits of the skills she is learning. We have seen a positive difference. Thank you Dr. Dobbeck and Mindful Therapy!
I’ve called twice on two different days and their voicemail says that they will call back in 15 minutes to one business day and I have yet to get a call back. I have submitted their online form for new client info and still have not heard anything back. I don’t know what’s wrong with these people.
These people are unprofessional. They are sending me a bill in my name and I have never been there. Turns out it is my daughters bill. When I explained my daughters situation they had no empathy, and explained she was responsible for the bill. This is the second time I have called them and told them that this is not my bill.
Bad scheduling - placed on hold for awhile and went straight to voicemail. Also did not know about a huge fee that my insurance did not cover. Ended up paying it anyways but will not return here.
I would never return here. They are horrible at scheduling, never follow up, poor customer service, and overall in it for your money. They do not care about the patient experience. They offer deceptive and fraudulent business tactics behind fake smiles, to make their money. Stay away!
This is a review, not of a physician or counselor, but of Mindful Therapy Group. Through many phone calls with guaranteed wait time responses and either no response or the next day, it was very frustrating. Before booking I asked if they took Medicare and they assured me they do. After research with Medicare, I found that they indeed take medicare but not the assigned payment from Medicare! I almost had a huge bill that I thought was being paid by Medicare but fortunately found out ahead of time. I think this is a deplorable practice of partial information that would cost the consumer dearly. I would never recommend this Group, no matter how awesome the practioners are. I hope this helps some other older person or someone new to Medicare.
Plenty of parking, very comfortable and spotlessly clean space--tranquil and relaxing. Office personnel is helpful and professional. And Dr. Dobbeck is *wonderful*. If there is a god (which I dont believe there is) Dr. Dobbeck is doing his/her work.
I am very surprised by the most recent poor reviews. For the entire 8 months my daughter, who is now 14, received therapy we had nothing but positive experiences. Many of them. The reception area is calm and inviting, yet has a professional feel. We had tried other therapists closer to home, but it felt like just another waiting room and dr appt (tv shows, kids climbing around...) and thats how my daughter viewed it also. We were referred to MTG when my daughter was discharged from Seattle Childrens. She was reluctant to try another therapist - we had been to 3 over the past 18 months. At Mindful it was different. We were always treated professionally and with kindness and respect - intake, receptionists, scheduling, and of course her therapist, Dr. Ben Dobbeck. We will be forever grateful to MTG. While my daughter is currently participating in a DBT program through Childrens, she must only see their team of specialists. Once this program is complete, we will without hesitation, return to MIndful Therapy Group.Thank you!
Staff is very friendly and wonderful, very accommodating and knowledgeable professionals.I have been coming here to have my Adult ADHD Treated and Kate Is amazing.
Check out their BBB complaints. Highly disappointed and wondering how they are still in business. They must pay for their positive reviews. I see lawsuits on the horizon for this company.
1. My first therapist compared my gender expression anxiety over using a bathroom on a trip to Texas was compared to being mistaken for being Japanese in Japan because she had dark hair. After a few visits I asked to change providers.2. in the meantime I was also getting set up for medical management with Katie Kern. Katie also knew of an upcoming trip that I needed to discuss anxiety meds over. I made sure to have my intake appt in plenty of time to get this worked out before the trip. The intake was scheduled for an hour. I paid a lot of money for this appt and she spend a good part of the appt not at all talking about me.So now I am completely cut off from this practice. Blackballed by all independent providers within this practice for both counseling and medicine management.Mindfulness is more than a word. This place doesn’t embrace this word or the compassion that should be behind it.Also, I paid money and never got the services I received so as of now, they stole my money. Will update if I get money for an intake that didnt happen.Update: The office manager finally called to ask what happened. She listened and played the CYA card at every chance she gets. No sympathy, no empathy, is this where you want your mental health handled?
The quality of the counseling was good. However, the scheduling sucks. I was notified by email and text to confirm my appointment, which I did (by text) and showed up twice to find that my counselor was not there. Its a long drive in rush hour traffic and this was infuriating. If they know that a counselor is not going to be on site, WHY DO THEY SEND OUT TEXTS FOR CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENT??? Also, suggested to a friend that they go there for medication management. She scheduled with an ARNP, sent to session, but prescriptions were NEVER CALLED IN, and she called numerous times to speak to this person. THE ARNP NEVER CALLED HER BACK. I realize that these people are contracted with Mindful, but geez - cant they find (1) better coordinated notifications and, (2) people who MEET THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES and who respond to their client attempts at contact???
I am currently a client of Kellyn McCullough through Minful Therapy Group. Ive had a great experience with both Kellyn and the staff (especially Catherine) at the office. Kellyn has a light, calm, and friendly demeanor and is very insightful during discussions. A previous therapist I had seen for 10 years died, and I was stricken with bad luck trying to find another therapist. When I got into see Kellyn, my mentality was Im not searching anymore, I dont care if we dont mesh, Im done. At the beginning of the first session I thought I might be able to dodge questions and beat around the bush due to her kind demeanor, but then Kellyn brought forward a great, direct question and in a very non-challenging tone. Exactly what was needed. I have been working with Kellyn for 1.5 years at this point. I got so, so lucky that I ended up as a client of Kellyns. I completely recommend her as a therapist, as well as MFG as a whole.
Made an appointment a week in advance. They called me the day before my meeting stating the scheduling was a mistake and they could not work with the time slot I was requesting. Had to go elsewhere.
Hiromi Gerety is amazing! Very insightful and helpful.
Coming to Mindful Therapy Group has been life-changing. I have been seeing Yurika Gillum for just over half a year and she is such a compassionate and insightful therapist--she has done a fantastic job of creating space for me to be vulnerable and honest about what is going on in my life. I have learned very helpful frameworks and tools to be able to face my fears head-on. On top of that, she has given me great recommendations for support groups and other resources outside of therapy so that I build a network and integrate the healing that occurs in therapy into the rest of my life.I see Yurika in the Southcenter branch, and the facility is clean, with comforting but modern décor, along with a super helpful front desk staff. Mindful Therapy is a network of various therapists in three different branches, and the office was very helpful in helping me find the right therapist to fit my insurance, schedule, and therapy needs. Highly recommend!
Had a therapist fall asleep on me! When i called to schedule an appointment the receptionist was rude and had a tone with me. Very discomforting and unprofessional.
Top marks. great place and great people.
Received a $150 Bill from them for a cancellation of an appointment that was not aware of making it whatsoever. ended up paying the bill to avoid dealing with collection.they bill you just because they have your information and need money. This place sucks!!!
Office and staff are all very welcoming.
The support team is very difficult.
