I’ve been going here for years. I started after having rotator cuff surgery and couldn’t do my hair. Juana was the stylist that helped me that day years ago. I continued going for months through my physical therapy. Juana is just the sweetest and most kind hearted hair dresser I’ve ever gone to and I’m over 50. This was two years ago and I still only will go to Juana at the University Place location to cut my hair and blow it out. If she’s not there..I will wait until she is there. I have to stress how hearted she is and that no one has ever done my hair as well as her. I planned on only going a few times but because Juana took such care with me she made me a customer for as long as she is there.

I went to this supercuts about 5 years ago for a haircut and received a bad hair cut and never went back. Due to Covid and proximity, I decided to give them another chance and go. This time it was worse! I had* very long hair with dead ends and wanted to trim off the ends. I requested that the stylist follows the same hair cut that I already had. I loved the way my hair was already styled, I just needed the ends gone and knew it would be at least a 2 inch chop. Once they started cutting I knew I shouldve just spent the money else where. I have no layers in my hair anymore. I received a very blunt hair cut that I still cannot style correctly. The layers arent layers, they do not blend into my hair, everything is blunt. Other people have commented on how bad the hair cut looks. When I commented on it, I was told this is how all stylists cut hair. They proceeded to give me a cosmetology lesson on how they were right. I wouldve commented more while it was happening but I wear glasses so I cannot see what is going on. They asked me to put my glasses on, when the shap that creates makes the hair cut uneven (sure enough the face framing was uneven). I absolutely hate my hair cut. Just spend your money else where.

I often go thence and really like the location. I heard they are closing but not sure.

Been here a few times, and its always a pleasure! Every stylist Ive had is nice, chatty if youre chatty and quiet if youre quiet, and opposed to many places in the city, they dont try to sell me stuff during the cut! Highly recommend!!

Unprofessional and doesn’t know how to cut hair. Worst experience of my life. I’m embarrassed to look in the mirror and see my haircut. Terrible place. Wish there was a way to put 0 stars. Women should stick to cutting women’s hair. The workers here don’t know how to follow simple requests.

Asked for a classic Greaser style pompadour, commonly called the elvis. The result was a haircut that laid down in two days and I was charged $33 for this. Definitely would not recommend.

I booked a appointment for 10am the day before, upon my arrival 9:45am, I get a email stating my appointment was canceled. So I book another appointment for 10:15am. I wait for about 30-45 minutes to then find out by a employee thats also waiting for the person that opens, that shes not feeling well and isnt coming in. Thank you Jesus for perhaps avoiding me from getting sick. I strongly suggest this place be completely sanitized and closed for 14 days and all employees quarantine. Some one should reach out to that sick person and advise her to get checked out and all employees should get tested too. Good luck customers and employees. Praying no one gets sick. 🙏🙏🙏

Pleasant salon! I walked in, on a weekday afternoon, and I had to wait 20 minutes before getting a cut. The stylist was friendly and did a good job! A haircut was $24

Honestly this is my bad I should’ve known better than to go to a place like this.I just wanted to trim my bangs how hard can that be? Well apparently very hard my bangs look ridiculous short on one side longer and the other And totally uneven in the middle I mean how hard is it to cut straight?!Anyways avoid at all costs.

On a cold day, I arrived in New York City to see my rock n roll hero, Bruce Springsteen (on Broadway!). The only problem? I had to wake up early, missed a shower, and looked unkempt. My hair was long and shaggy. My attitude was sour. What did I need? A hair cut, thats what. I put in a call to Supercuts and was given a prompt appointment. A short time later I met the woman who was to trim my locks and make me presentable to the Boss. It was a great cut and nice service. If you happen to be visiting NYC and are in need of a quick cut, then you are in luck! I have found the place. You are welcome.

I am a loyal customer to this supercuts. It had a wonderful staff and I actually have one person who I go back to every time. His name is Steven, he does a great job and is just delightful. I highly recommend him. Just one thing wrong with supercuts as a whole, is they don’t pay their employees very well so they rely on tips. I tip 50% which is only about 10-15 for a regular cut.

After reading these absurd reviews, I still decided to give this Supercuts a chance. Shawna did an amazing job. I got a great haircut and had a wonderful conversation. I would definitely recommend her and will be back to see her in a few months. Do not let these reviews deter you from a good haircut. They are mostly emotion based and speak little of the work being done (which is what matters).

I had a wash, a cut, and a quick blow-dry. The hairdresser was great and quick. He recommended a shampoo which I bought. I thought my hair came out great!

No appointment needed here but I had a 30-minute wait. The haircut was efficiently done with a minimum of chatting. Not the best cut I ever had, but very satisfactory for the price.

Why do the people who work here have a hard time listening and doing what I ask?

I love Supercuts, Ive been getting the Keratin treatment and cut for years, I had a bad experience here, however. Came in an hour and 15 minutes before close and my stylist was exasperated when I told him I wanted this treatment (because it takes some time under the dryer). He didnt do the steps properly -- shampoo, then keratin extract in the sink for 5 minutes, then conditioner, then the dryer -- and I had keratin dripping down my neck while I was under the dryer. Cut was fine, but there was confusion when I asked for a blowout, which I thought was included but he said costs extra. In the end my naturally curly hair was a frizz bomb from the blow dry and I put it right back up in a bun and couldnt wait to get out of there--a very bad experience that left me feeling like an inconvenience and unappreciated as a long time customer. Ill go back to Supercuts, but definitely not to this location.

I could have done better myself with a pair of safety scissors. I have a very simple haircut but the guy managed to mess it up. Its essentially a buzz cut but the front is a little longer. They did not blend the difference at all, it looks like there is a step in my hair. It was also incredibly messy. I couldnt tell in the chair but when I got home there were all kinds of small spots that were missed. I dont believe the people working here are legitimate barbers, I think this is just their side-job for extra cash.

Julia cut my hair today and was absolutely amazing. Ive never had a bad experience here.

Terrible haircut -Ive never had a worse haircut.I was sent out by the stylist Tyrone with wet matted down hair. Only after getting back to my office had my hair dryer and my co workers to notice that he failed to blend end the clipper cut on my left side only.Since Tyrone never would speak (to me although he gossiped continuously with his co worker), I do not believe his bad haircut was intentional. Instead hope that he was merely incompetent or did not care. At the end of the haircut he did not blow off or wipe off the trimmed hairs.

My boyfriend got a haircut here for a tapered fade haircut but the Russian woman (we forgot her name) who cut his hair did not give him a line up, left hair all over his face, didn’t give him the hot towel, and she left him with triangle side burns??? The line up is so crooked and zig zagged and uneven. We are so disappointed and angry and we will NEVER be returning to any supercuts.

Some variance in skill across stylists but still a safe bet and value.

Staff is nice, Ive gone there twice and both times they did a poor job at matching both sides and just a general lack of attention to detail. Its not like they were busy because it was dead both times I went.

Great for a quick haircut and one of few places in the area with extended hours. Service was pretty prompt, and for my simple haircut style, met my expectations.

Very simple cut. Worst Ive ever had. Couldnt do a fade or even a straight line. I had to have my wife try and fix it with sowing scissors so I could go out in public.

The absolute worst place to get your hair cut. Have no regard for time of people waiting I literally just walked out after waiting for almost an hour even though I checked in online and it said the wait is 35 minutes. She was putting walk ins ahead of people with appointments then got mixed up appointments. They are clueless and only two people working with the slowest turnover I have ever seen. Thanks for nothing supercuts, I would never step a foot in that dump again.

The staff is horrible. After the third time of being told Id be seen soon and then end up waiting over an hour, Ill never go there again. The haircuts are average at best. Id rather pay more elsewhere to avoid the horrendous wait and unprofessional staff.

This is the worst hair salon ever I got there at 2:45 PM I told them I want a color and cut with highlights they started coloring my hair horribly wrong what they call highlights is a big Glob stain on my hair They charged me $126 then they told me after they took my money they cannot complete the job because they were closing I am so embarrassed I’m taking an Uber home
