I couldn’t ask for a more perfect experience. I’ve been traveling from Philadelphia to come and see Nick because of his work. He is a master of his craft and I am always beyond satisfied with his cuts. He is professional, quick, and always making the experience perfect. I can’t say enough about the experience. I started coming to these guys about a year ago when I got a job at a hotel near them. These barbers are all really good people--they remember me every time I come in and welcome me like Im family.They also do a good job cutting my hair, no matter what chair Im in or whos working that day. (Theyve also done a really good job for reopening, with shields and face masks and things.)I highly recommend these guys! :)

Ive been going here since 2008. They are a great team who give great service. I wont get my hair cut anywhere else. I no longer work in the neighborhood, but when I need a haircut, I take a train and a bus. Theyre worth it.

Nikita did an awesome job with my hair. In the time of quarantine he was prompt and the place is extremely clean. He had the entire shop geared up for the pandemic extremely well. Nikita is talented at what he does. If youre in the area or worried about the pandemic this is the place to get your hair cut.

While visiting New York last weekend I walked by this shop and noticed that it was packed and that everyone was getting what looked like a great haircut. This was Friday and having a full schedule I figured that I wouldnt have time to get there for an appointment. On Sunday morning I checked their website and noticed that they opened at 10am so I went over and was the first customer with Sam. He was absolutely the best both in terms of the haircut I received and his charming personality. The morning was pouring rain but her made it one of the best experiences I had in town that weekend as we discussed everything from living in the city to family to politics and more. And since Ive returned home Ive received more compliments on my hair than any other time. I guess that Im going to need to fly to New York every 6-8 weeks now for a cut.

First Class Barber Shop is the best barber shop in midtown east. Hands down theres no comparison. I come here regularly and sometimes I come with my son, there has never been a cut that did not turn out great. The owner Nick goes above and beyond to make sure you like what youre getting and would do anything to make his customers happy. Just a fantastic place and an even more awesome owner. The best barbers in midtown! I’ve tried for different shop and luckily landed here after 5 botched haircuts. I’m one of those super particular guys that never switched but once my barber started charging $59 per haircut, I said enough is enough! Now Nick is my man and even with a $10 tip (well worth it) i feel like I’m getting a steal.

I’m very picky when it comes to getting a haircut; even a buzz cut. When I first moved to the neighborhood I set out to find a solid local barber. In the past, I would have to travel far to go to my favorite shop. Lucky for me that was no longer the case. My friend recommended First Class Barbershop so I gave it a shot.The very first moment I stepped into the shop I was greeted with kindness. Nick was available so I sat in his chair and off we went. I used to get a fade, and to anyone who knows about fades, you can’t just go anywhere. Nick was not only skillful and precise but he was kind. For 20 minutes we had small talk and got to know each other a bit but most importantly my hair was looking great.Just when I thought the haircut was over Nick brought out the hot towel. That plus a brief head massage had me feeling refreshed.I’ve been a customer for two years and since I’ve gotten into reading reviews I thought I should write one.First Class barbershop is clean, comfortable, in a great location and priced really well. They have a friendly talented staff and for that reason I highly recommend this place.

Visiting New York I wanted a tidy up and this place seemed to be just right. However it was far from 1st class. My hair since has not grown out well and doesnt sit right when styling.The experience was no better. Arriving the guy was unwelcoming and didnt say a word. He started chopping almost before I had sat down. By the end of it all he even expected a tip, as though he had done a great job! This is New York Im told!If you want a below average haircut with no service in under 3 minutes, this is the place for you.

I was here 1 year ago and I had an undercut. The rest of my hair was not protected and I realized it when I got to work and hair started falling out. I had to grow out my hair because it went up so high you could see through to my scalp. Was so devastated and in shock. I finally got the strength to review. This was the worst experience ever. Sam cut my hair.

I cant recommend Nick at windows side to no one. His work is very rough, no consideration to customers opinion. Dont believe he saying OK my friend, because he does not listen to you at all. So many uneven parts and I had to go another haircut next day to fix it. He just wants finish you as fast as he can, even his work is not completed.Worst hair dresser I have met. However, others can be normal. So just avoid Nick. My evaluation is way lower than one star.

Got my haircut here a couple times by Nick, Stan and Sam. Complete honesty, youre unlikely to find a better cut or service for the value. They cut all kinds of hairstyles using combination clipper and scissors. I live in NJ, work in NYC, but come here to get cut exclusively. They are literally hair artists. Not only are thier skills on point, but they are also STAND UP guys. I left my phone there by accident today, and Sam literally ran out in the cold rain, 2 blocks (in luckily the correct direction) to RETURN ME MY PHONE. He literally ran across Lexington Ave, in front of an MTA bus, to return my cell phone. Thats the kind of people that work here. Grade: A+

Dealt with a chap by the name of Arthur who was just lovely. I had been to Prestige Barber before I went here and they botched up my hair. Arthur did his best to restore it!

First class? Right....I went in there for a simple shape up for my beard and the guy couldnt even do that... I wouldnt trust this place for a proper haircut.

First of all, didn’t get a proper cut. He didn’t even line up my beard. When I asked him to do so he left my beard uneven and didn’t even touch my mustache. To make it worse, there are no signs in the barber shop that they do not accept card. I was asked to give my ID like a criminal so I can just go two doors down to go to the atm. I had my bag and all my items there. I don’t know they would ask for my ID. Totally unacceptable. Have a sign that says cash only. Horrible experience.
