I have wavy hair and it’s been really hard to have anyone cut it well and most won’t even cut it with scissors. They just want to use clippers which sucks. A few days ago I did a walk in here and I can’t believe how good it was. Perfect cut…not like anything I’d ever gotten before. My guy just got it. Roman has over 20 years of experience, and does an excellent fade. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I found Mike after my old barber went MIA. I had been going to the same guy for almost a decade when he disappeared, hopefully to retirement and not “disappeared”, but who knows. After I was barberless I hopped around looking for a good barber who wasn’t going to overcharge me and who wasn’t going to butcher my hair. One kept me waiting for two hours, one would never be open when he said he would, and one used thinning scissors on my hair which resulted in one of the worst cuts of my 30+ years.Then I found Mike, who was tucked away on the block behind me. Mike fixed the thinning shears issue, and has consistently given me a quality cut for what feels like over a year or two. He takes card (but bring cash), doesn’t over charge, and remembers you. Everybody is a part of the conversation and it’s a welcoming experience. Highly recommend him to all of my friends and strangers.

Ive been to many barbers over my young life and while Ive gotten many good haircuts Ive never gotten a haircut that made me think of my Barber as a Craftsman or an artist, until I met Michael. The man has magical fingers and from the first haircut, even from a layman, I could immediately tell his level of expertise. My cut came out fresher than fresh, like new born baby fresh, brand new Mercedes right out of the factory fresh, with the leather seats still wrapped in plastic. Mike is by far the best barber I’ve had in NYC. I’ve gone to a lot of barbers in the city including some of the most premium ones ($80+ for a haircut). Mike charges less than $30 and his cuts consistently outperform any of the barbers I’ve gone to. Apparently there is only one good barber in this shop. I watched a grown adult sit in the good barbers chair for 40 minutes doubting wether or not the haircut he was getting was what he wanted. Barber had me, plus 2 more who called in before hand waiting on him, wasnt about to sit in the chair and get a rushed haircut... If this place really gets that many people for one barber, he should setup an appointment system.
