Excellent barber shop with some of the most talented barbers out there. Do not hesitate to go here if you want the best value per haircut out there. Walk ins welcome and they are always super accommodating. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

So I normally go to Astor Place Hair but I been wanting to find a new barbershop as I haven’t been thrilled with the quality of Astor Place Hair. By chance I found this place and I am very happy with the service. Got my hair cut by a gentleman by the name of Danny and was happy with the result. If you’re looking for a new place to check out for a haircut, would definitely suggest stopping by here. I know I will be coming back for my next cut.

Excellent barber shop. They just renovated the shop and it looks great. They do an amazing job. Ask for Sam- he has been my barber for over 20 years. I dont go to anyone else. Hes the best, and really cares about how you look. Hes always working and has a very loyal clientele. You wont regret it!

After being in the US for 10+ years, I finally found a barbershop with the quality that I desired. Sam is extremely detail oriented person, he takes good care of my hair in every aspect, which you wouldnt see any unevenness. He is also really experienced, he pointed out how my previous hair cut isn’t smartly done and took his time to fix it. Finally, I was shock to find out the price is extremely affordable as I thought getting a hair cut in Manhattan would be a lot more expensive than in New Jersey, apparently I was wrong. Long story short, great price with great experience! Would definitely go again and again as long as I live in NY

Best barber in Manhattan. Amazing fades and service. Recently added a bar so you can start to party while you get lined up. Post-Covid renovations include all new equipment and comfortable chairs. Very centrally located and easy to access.

I have been going to these guys for almost a year and their work has always been top notch, and Im saying this as someone who is extremely particular about his haircut and does not go to the same place twice if they mess up. I have recommended them to a few friends and theyve now become regular customers. Good people, professional work, relaxed environment, and very affordable. The barbers are all great and Ive been especially happy with Sam and Dannys work. Definitely one of the best barbershops in the city.

This appointment was absolutely the best experience I’ve had at a barbershop in NYC. Sam was my barber, and he was professional and detailed oriented with my haircut and beard trim. I just got a fantastic haircut by Albert at Ace of Bladez. This is the BEST haircut Ive had in years. Albert asked what I wanted and proceeded to cut my hair to my specifications. During the cut, he asked questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted---I appreciate that because the end result was PERFECT. Ive been going to this barbershop for about a year now and Ive had nothing but excellent experiences each time. The manager Albert is a jovial, friendly guy that made sure that my haircut was exactly the way I wanted. I always call ahead about an hour beforehand and Ive never had trouble getting an appointment at the time I wanted, though they welcome walk ins as well. The price is good, the people and atmosphere are great, I really cant recommend this place enough.

I go in, and anyone gives a good haircut but I like to go to Albert. I tell him to do whatever he thinks looks good, and he succeeds every time. Also theres nothing quite like getting hot foam and an old fashioned razor blade to shave the back of your neck when youre done.

I just recently started going to this barber shop and its great. Albeit its right across the street from me but I honestly would not prefer to go anywhere else (I have been going to a few others in the area prior to st marks barber shop). Albert is a fantastic barber and a friendly guy. He has my cut and style down to a T and its very sharp and fresh. I love the clean shave on the neck with the warm shaving cream, which is a nice touch along with the free hot towel at the end. Also a very fair price for a solid cut.Cant forget to mention, they might have the most comfortable barber chairs ever

Once you find a good barber, you will want to maintain that relationship. Ive been coming to this barber shop for a few years while it was still called Royal Barber Shop and under a different owner. The place is spotless, and barbers are very friendly and down to earth people. Albert, who runs the place is a great guy, and Lora, whos been cutting my hair for a few months is fantastic. I was referred to her after my other barber who Id see for around 5 years left and referred me to her. Ive had excellent haircuts from her. Shes a true pleasure to visit and it just makes for a fantastic overall experience. Lora is a keeper!As a native New Yorker, I very highly recommend this place!

I went for an undercut with a design today and the barber (wish I asked for his name) listened to what I wanted and catered to that. He was very good at disclosing prices and how much extra the design would be. It was a relaxing and 10/10 experience. Would go again!

Ive probably been to over 20 barbers in NYC for straight razor shaves (head and face) and Lora and Albert are, far and away, the best with a blade in the city. They understand A) a razor is sharp; B) hair isnt made of steel; C) you dont need to scalp someone to give them a successful shave. Its actually quite relaxing! Plus, a shave doesnt run me $50, like it does at some many hipster barbers, where they slather your head with ionized guava butter or some crap and leave you covered in nicks and hair. I also see men and women getting a wide range of cuts here, from traditional, to stylish, to punk rock. Cant recommend em enough!

Not really the most exciting or prettiest square in the city as it is predominantly dominated by huge glass office buildings. The small shops and bookstore nearby are nice, but the square itself is not really noteworthy. I wouldnt make it a dedicated journey unless already nearby.

Went for the first time today to see Laura based on a recommendation. Shes the second person that has cut my hair in NYC and I wont be going to anyone else again. My old barber has seen me for the last time. As a black guy its sometimes difficult to find a barber outside of the hood. As a person with a skin condition on his scalp its embarrassing to ever try a new barber, she looked and said lets go. I gave her a big tip and will do so every time moving forward.
