Positive: Very clean. Friendly staff. Great location. Negative: No pool.
Let me tell you something that travel agents do not want u to know about. When reserving places use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ Theyve got the best deals on hotels! Way better than using orbitz, tripadvisor, hotwire. No doubt about that!!!Amazing place the staff is super friendly and very keen on how to cater to the upper echelon of society.
Hospitality suite is nice and spacious. Views from the rooftop pool and jacuzzi are spectacular, especially at sunset (though I wish it stayed open in the rain, providing there is no lightning/thunder).
Staff members at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. My guest room was beautiful and the bathroom was very roomy. The lobby and seating areas are nicely decorated. The business center is easily accessed and everything was operational. I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and was very happy overall. The area around the hotel is a little rough. I wouldnt feel comfortable walking back late at night on my own. At night, I walked with a group of friends who were also staying at the hotel, which worked out fine.
Positive: Location was perfect.
The woman at front desk was really nice. The room showed alot of wear and tear and can use with updates. The concierge was extremely rude. I asked for a cart to be sent to our room upon check out. He said he would do. Waited 45 minutes and nobody showed. When we carried all our stuff down for check out he looked right at us and smirked. He was to busy talking with another employee. Neither asked if we needed help etc. And no I was not rude to him. Do people have bad days? Yes. But there was no reason for being that rude especially since you are in the business of customer service.
This Renaissance may need a renaissance of its own. The lobby is nice and updated, however, the elevators and the rooms feel dated. The hotel’s location is good as you are a couple blocks from Canal. My room was clean and the staff were pleasant. Front desk staff were also pleasant. The room does have a desk chair which allows you do to work which many hotels do not have these days.
Was very pleased with the courtesy of the staff at the hotel. The bar lobby was one of the best I have encountered. The bartender was great. Rooms were nice and clean. The only negative I have is the hostess at the Tacklebox restaurant was was lacking in hospitality. We were not able to be seated, we were told tables were reserved and was handed menus and told to find a seat at the bar or high table as the hostess just walked away. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.
Amazing place the staff is super friendly and very keen on how to cater to the upper echelon of society.
Traveling with nine girls for a weekend in New Orleans can be... an experience. But the staff at the Renaissance Marriott made it so much easier than it could have been! I booked four rooms for our group and were able to get them all next to each other, which was amazing. The staff was so friendly and accommodating with all our needs and questions. Having two bars and a coffee shop on site was perfect for when we were feeling lazy. We were just a block outside of the Quarter and were walking distance to all of the fun. We also found a great bar around the corner from the hotel (Hobnobbers) and the BEST chicken tenders at the convenience store on the corner (Brothers). Would definitely stay here again!
Great service from staff, from the clerks to the doorman. On a rainy day we were given umbrellas to borrow which was really sweet given that we did not pack any. The room I booked with two beds was big and clean. Housekeeping was really nice as well. The hotel was walking distance to a lot of restaurants (I highly recommend Daisy Dukes express), bourbon street, etc. I would definitely stay here again.
Our experience at the Pere Marquette hotel was exceptional! Katie the event coordinator was very helpful during the week of the wedding. She was very accommodating with setup of the Bridal Suite for wedding preparation of the bridal party. The hotel staff were “over the top” with customer service. Hotel restaurant was convenient and the food was yummy! Restaurant manager James accommodated an After Wedding Party staying open later than scheduled to serve coffee and beignets. Pere Marquette hotel was a big part of a great wedding weekend and I am so thankful!!
All the staff, from front desk, bag guys, maids, were all very courteous, respectful, and polite. Everyone smiled and greeted you immediately. I definitely recommend staying here at the Renaissance Pere Marquette. Now for the bar staff. Tracy was also wonderful. The restaurant the Tacklebox. I want to give a BIG shout out to Gabby. She went above and beyond. The drinks were great, the food was great, and her service was more than great. To everyone at the Renaissance my wife and I thank you. You all make your city great. Until next time. Billy and Kristy from Indianapolis Indiana
When I walked into the hotel I knew that it was going to be an amazing experience. I was already checked so I just had to grab my keys. When I got to my room it was very clean. I checked under the covers and towels to see if anything had been missed by the cleaning service. It was all great. Because I was a member of the BonVoy club I got wifi for free which was an acceptable speed for what I needed. The best thing about the room and the hotel was its great scenery. I wanted to do a mini photo shoot and I did the pics came out great.
Location, location, location! That is the main highlight for this hotel! I recently stayed here for a few days while in New Orleans for a work conference. It is near so many stores and restaurants along with Canal and Bourbon Street. The staff during my stay was very nice and helpful. The hotel itself has a good amount of amenities, including a gym, conference space, and a restaurants and coffee shop inside/connected to the hotel. My room was very nice and was what you would expect from a downtown Marriott hotel. Some aspects of the room were a tad dated and showed signs of wear and tear like peeling wall paper and worn furniture. The mattress also felt old and was ready for replacing. Another thing that slightly disappointed me was the lack of comfort food or options from the room service menu. For a hotel this size, I would assume they had their own kitchen but they don’t. They use the restaurant connected for the hotel but it is limited to Louisiana cuisine, which is great, but I would have liked to see some basic comfort food options. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and experience at the hotel and would recommend it.
The staff of this hotel are really friendly. from the doormen to the restaurant staff and espcially the nice concierge ( Nienke?).However the hotel itself is in need of renovation. it is old and outdated. in our room the wall paper came of the walls, stains in the carpet and old bed linnen. the gym was really dusty and needed desperate cleaning. The menu in the restaurant may fit the locals but I truly missed a healthy meal. a yoghurt in the morning for example with fresh fruit and a fresk squeezed orange juice...everyhting is full of butter or deep fried ( apart from the ceasar salade).
It was ok. Hotels of the same price range are usually a bit nicer, but it was good for a business trip. The room and bathroom are clean and good. The location is great just in the middle of town. The car valet which is usually free is 38$ per night! which I didnt see elsewhere.
My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance for a few days before setting sail on our cruise. The staff at the front counter and lobby were amazing! Especially doormen William and Glenn. These two gentlemen went above and beyond for me! I had Achilles surgery not that long ago and took my scooter to rest my leg on. Now granted the landscape of the concrete jungle was no match for my scooter, so I found myself walking most places. When my wife and I left for our cruise, we had asked if the hotel could hold my scooter for 6 days and then we’d be staying at the Renaissance again when we got off the ship. Glenn had no problem storing the scooter for me while we were gone! When we returned I had asked William if I could take the scooter off his hands and he said it was no problem and he could hold it until we departed. Not only did William and Glenn go above and beyond their position, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful! Definitely a memorable stay!
I was a bit skeptical after reading some reviews, but I can tell you all aspects of our stay were as close to perfect as possible. The staff were so polite, everyone from the person checking you in to cleaning people in the hall way. We asked for extra towels and blankets as a request and they we waiting in our room when we arrived. The hotel was clean and our room was always made up when we got back to the room. We tried the TackleBox restaurant and food was very good and wait staff very nice. Location was great just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street and French Quarter. Would definitely stat here again
13 of us traveled to New Orleans for a 60th Birthday Bash and from the moment we arrived until our departure, the service at the Renaissance was OUTSTANDING. From the warm greeting as we entered, to the farewell as we left. The staff was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, professional and exceptionally accommodating to each of us!! We all raved about how we most certainly stay there again. Thank you for such a MEMORABLE weekend.
I stayed here during my birthday weekend that was planned months in advance. I highly recommend everyone to download the hotel app because I was able to chat with them in real time for any questions or services. My HA acessible room was spacious. It was truly lovely. I have no complaints about my room. Everything was within walking distance even though I only ventured out for my appointments, tours. and dinners. The Tacklebox restaurant was quite good. They were able to accommodate me and my requests. Tip: Try the Charbroiled Oysters! This was sooo declious. The only hiccup I had was my pre-arrange food was not in my room upon arrival. I actually confirm this via chat before taking the shuttle to the hotel. I was not expecting what I receive for Charcuterie and Cheese. The staff were gracious and apologetic. They made it up to me by giving me chocolate covered strawberries.Overall, I had a great stay and would come back again.
I think when a travel agent books the fam-tastic rate you should not give them the bottom of the barrel room type. I understand you have guests who have a high Marriott status and you upgrade their rooms. Or at least give access to the VIP room where the coffee and the snacks are complimentary. Overall, very friendly staff and very helpful. The doorman on Sunday, December 7th was so nice. I wish I could remember his name He deserves to be commended for his hospitality and friendliness.
Travelled in for Saints game. Location was easy walking distance to stadium, Quarter & Bourbon Str. Reasonably priced and restaurant/bars were decent. Staff was very accommodating & rooms nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. One minor call out, during Mardi Gras you would be on opposite side of Canal Str from Bourbon Str side. Crossing Canal during parades is challenging. Keep that in mind if that’s the week you are thinking of staying there.p
This property is a hidden gem tucked away around the corner from The Roosevelt and a block away from Canal Street. The property is very quiet with spacious rooms which is important to me. The guest care team provides a seamless check in and out. The hotel offers a coffee shop, seafood restaurant and a nice bar. I have stayed multiple times and have always had a great experience and I know you will too.
Great location in the French Quarter This location provided us access to everything that we wanted to see. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. We felt very safe in the city that we did not know. If we ever go back to New Orleans we would definitely stay at this hotel and we look forward to staying in more renaissance hotels in the future.
Perfect location, very safe and secure. A friendly doorman always opened the door for us and wished us a good day as we left and welcomed us back at the end of the day. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent housekeeping service. Extra security by requiring room key swipe to access elevators. Nice having a coffee shop in the lobby. Great valet service. Perfect all around!
Great service from the staff, from the clerks to the doorman. On a rainy day we were given umbrellas to borrow which was really sweet given that we did not pack any. The room I booked with two beds was big and clean. Housekeeping was really nice as well. The hotel was walking distance to a lot of restaurants (I highly recommend Daisy Dukes express), bourbon street etc. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved staying at this hotel and the location was perfect! It was close enough to walk to everything but not so close that it felt overwhelming. Had a great vibe, always felt welcomed and enjoyed the experience overall. The photo booth in the lobby was a fun touch too! The only thing we really wish it had was a pool, or some type of buddy pass available to use at another Marriott property so we could have a break from the hustle and bustle. But overall this hotel was great for the price and location etc.
This hotel was nicely appointed with all amenities except a pool. The staff is wonderful accommodating all your needs. They know the area and are well informed. The hotel is perfect for location in that you are a block from trolley and French quarter so you’re inside the action but not mobbed with the crowds and noise and all the great restaurants are a 2 block walk from your hotel. We loved our stay here and will stay here again the next time we come.
I love that they have mobile check-in, so all I needed was my keys when I got there. If you walk to the end of the block, you can see Bourbon street. Its close enough to walk, but far enough that the noise wont keep you up.The front desk, valet, housekeeping & restaurant staff were all super nice.Ive stayed a few other places down there before. But moving forward, this is where Ill be anytime I come back to New Orleans.
I recently got married in New Orleans and used this hotel as my hotel block. From the moment we arrived, we had the kindest, most helpful service ever! The front desk employees always had a smile on their faces and a friendly comment. The bellmen were great, valet was wonderful, and my guests loved the hotel! My room- the suite and king room- were the perfect size for my crew. This hotel really made my wedding weekend that much better with no stress!
Our stay was fantastic! From check in to impeccable service in assisting getting our bags to our cruise shuttle. The reception desk were amazingly helpful and informative. Loved that the fitness room had a peloton as well. Would highly recommend to others and will stay again!
Couldnt leave without saying how Ms. Dee in the coffee shop made my day each day!! She was always sweet, kind and professional. The coffee was good, but Ms. Dee always gave me that New Orleans welcome to it which made it even better!I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and plan to come back!!
Mardi Gras is a crazy time, especially in New Orleans for hotels in prime locations! However, the staff at Pere Marquette did not let the chaotic holiday get in the way of their wonderful service. From the valet to the receptionist everyone was friendly, patient, and inviting. They went above and beyond to help out in little ways, to give advice, and so much more! I would very much recommended staying here and plan on staying here again sometime.
Good hotel with nice rooms. Huge bathrooms. Huge TVs. Quick elevators and very friendly staff that know their city. Just ask and theyll steer you to some great spots. Not as loud as FQ hotels, but just as convenient to Canal and other streets, the Convention Center and other attractions.
Absolutely beautiful spot! Scored a great deal for Christmas Eve on Expedia for a last minute one day trip. When we arrived we got upgraded to a better room. The decor of this place is lovely. Me and my friend loved the little minibar inside the room and the art throughout. But the best part was our morning breakfast. It might have been the best breakfast I can recall. Hope to try the restaurant one day for lunch or dinner. Absolutely delicious!
Great service from staff, knowledgeable staff who helped navigate city. Shout out to Glenn the bell hop and Dwight in restaurant. Loved the aromas throughout hotel that made me smile all day. Loved my room and the overall cleanliness of the rooms. I am picky but you surpassed my expectations!
The hotel was perfect. Located at the edge of the French quarter it allows access to the lively nightlife but still a bit of peace and quiet. Great room, food and service. Loved the peloton bike in the fitness center. Oyster bar in the restaurant was fantastic
The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The check in process was speedy and everyone was welcoming. However, I would not rate higher than a 5 due to the fact that we specifically asked to have one of our four bags to stay at the front desk (suggested by the staff, not us) since it had $3k worth of equipment in it. When we returned 30 min. later with our tickets, we were instructed to wait for our bags up in our room. 1 hr later, I went downstairs and the front desk had no idea I was waiting for luggage and the previous person had taken our ticket and gone to lunch. Never saw her again, until we checked out, 5 days later. Once I was allowed to go back to the completely unsecured room facing the busy street, where all luggage was kept, I found all of our luggage strung about, and the bag with $3k worth of equipment was closest to the door and was not secure at all. This was NOT a good start to our visit. No remorse from staff. I understand we were there during a busy season, however, if the staff had not suggested they could keep the bag secure at THE FRONT DESK, I would not have left it with them. There are plenty of places to stay, not sure I would stay there again.
My stay at this hotel was quite lovely. Staff were efficient, helpful, and highly accommodating. The location was perfect, too. It was far enough away from the noise and bustle of Bourbon Street, but it was an easy walk to the French Quarter/Jackson Square area!
I want to sum up my stay at the Renaissance New Orleans French Quarter in one word “PHENOMENAL”! This beautiful hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Bourbon Street and French Quarter Market! The ambiance when you walk in the front door is very warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive. The doorman greeted us with a smile every morning and gave us daily tips on where to go and what to eat so we could get the full experience! The lobby’s decor was beautiful and the scent upon entry was breathtaking! I also had so much fun taking photos at the photo booth! The room size was a little small yet it gave a cozy feeling. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. Although we were so close to the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street it was very quiet which allowed for great night rest!Upon checkout they offered to hold our luggage until our flight which was later that day. This allowed us to explore the French Quarter more without having to tote our luggage around (Super plus!)As a travel agent I am very impressed and will surely recommend this hotel to my clients who travel to New Orleans!P.S. where can I purchase that scent that’s in the lobby? It smells soooo good!!
Great location, within a block of several other Marriott brands. Friendly staff. Good air conditioning. Easy to walk to Bourbon street attractions, good dining close by and an easy walk to the WW II museum as well as the streetcar or bus. Quiet in the hotel. Great bed and pillows. Clean. Would stay here again. I always look for a Marriott brand.
Beautiful updated hotel in a great area just outside the French Quarter. The hotels decor was modern and unique. The staff I encountered were exceptional. They were friendly and responsive to any question. The Jazz in the lounge area was a great NOLA touch!
Historic building. Stylish décor. Beautiful views of downtown New Orleans. Excellent proximity to the French Quarter, many things within walking distance. Quiet hotel where you can come to relax after long days and nights out enjoying the city.Mr. Will the doorman and Yvette the concierge are wonderful assets to this hotel. They are friendly, helpful, courteous, knowledgable and enthusiastic.
Where you stay when traveling has a huge influence on a trip. Location, amenities, the staff, and comfort all play a part in your overall experience. The Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Quarter Area Hotel set the stage for a fabulous weekend. The staff is exceptional, very attentive and helpful. And the rooms are clean and comfortable. I will be returning soon and this is where I will stay.
The Renaissance hotel is the best hotel Ive stayed at, ever. Starting with the location and style of the hotel, to the spacious clean up-to-date rooms, and the exyceptional staff that is happy to help at ever turn. Check-in was quick and easy, and could have even been done online before arriving if I wished. The staff always had a smile on their face, a friendly greeting, and helpful information to provide if you need. Everything about our staff at the Renaissance hotel was amazing, and I cant wait to visit New Orleans again, to be able to stay at this hotel. If you want to stay at a clean, beautiful hotel with exceptional staff and service, that is mere minutes walking distance to the most famous places in the French Quarter (but still enough off the beaten path to be quiet and safe) then this hotel is for you. I never write hotel reviews, but I enjoyed my stay so much at the Renaissance, I had to write this one.
A quick 5-minute walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. The lobby was beautiful and the staff so welcoming and friendly. I loved the doorman, who every morning greeted us with a smile and gave us daily tips on where to go and where to eat. The rooms are comfortable and the bar is great for a drink before you go out. The coffee shop makes great coffee and you can get Begneits too.
What a fantastic place to stay! The staff are helpful and extremely pleasant. The food is fantastic. The room is comfortable and classy. The meeting room and food/drink was great. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to those heading down to New Orleans. Make certain you talk with Thaddeaus (Concierge) to find new and fun places to visit.
Very nice Marriott property with great location. We were able to walk to everything. Restaurant downstairs has great food and awesome wine selection. Hubby happy with local beer on tap as well. Excellent customer service experience by all staff we spoke with. We will be back!
What a fabulous experience at the Renaissance New Orelans Pere Marquette for Jazz Fest. The location is ideal just one block off Canal Street with immediate access to the Trolley. The hotel staff is professional, outgoing and extremely accommodating and there is a coffee bar and a restaurant right within the hotel. I would highly recommend the hotel for business and leisure trips -- cabs come right to the door and Uber picks up in front or at the corner. And it is easy to walk to the French Quarter or into The Warehouse District from here. Thanks for a great stay!
What more could a girl ask for of a hotel in New Orleans... the room was clean, cool, spacious, and cute! The bed mattress and linens were so incredibly comfortable, my fiance and I wanted to just stay snuggled up all day. But business called. Great location, I was there for a conference, we walked to a restaurant near Bourbon St. for dinner. Great experience.
For handling a group our size? They were expeditious and friendly. Got us from our taxi into the hotel within 2 minutes. No issues at all. Room service was a little pushy about a cash tip.over one on a card. But, easy ride to the cruise ship and wonderful location.
The hotel is in a great location, just across Canal Street from the French Quarter. So you can get out of the crazy when you are ready for a retreat. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
Located in walking distance from Canal street and Bourbon street. You are close to the party noisy area without the noise and party being inside your room. Great aspect. You can enjoy and relax when needed and in a couple of steps .. you are at the entertainment area.
FOH customer service and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits were my personal favorites. Great location, most things are walking distance. The room was good, clean property, friendly and helpful staff. Overall I had a very pleasant stay. I definitely recommend staying at this property.
My stay was quite underwhelming to say the least. Usually I stay at the JW on canal, but this time I made a huge mistake and chose this hot mess hotel. Upon check in everything was smooth at the front desk, I came as a family of 4 & I was asked for a credit card and ID and sent up to the room. The elevators were old and raggedy, but I let it slide. The room was really small and outdated for the price of the hotel. The shower never got hot while we were there even when turned to the highest setting. The water pressure was extremely low and it was like taking a bird bath. On the first night there we came back from dinner and there was a huge party going on in the lobby that could be heard at least up to the 5th floor because I could hear it. The party lasted all night long and was extremely disruptive to my sleep. The hotel does not have any type of real security around. I walked outside to get breakfast alone and there were homeless people scattered all outside the front of the building. One man actually followed me back into the building where an altercation ensued with the hotel staff & he threw a flower pot inside of the hotel! That freaked me out, but I still tried to give this place a chance. Upon check out my bill was about $100 more than what it was when I reserved it online. When I asked what these extra charges were I was told Marriott now charges an extra $25 per night per person after the first two guest. This caught me completely by surprise! When I booked and said I had 4 people the price didnt change. I wasnt even told about this when I checked in (which according to Marriott policy was supposed to occur). When I disputed it with the hotel I got nothing but nasty attitude and awful customer service. I even got a poorly typed email that rubbed me the wrong way from one of the managers at the hotel. Ive stayed at Marriott properties my entire life and never have I ever had as poor of an experience as I had here. I will be contacting corporate about my awful experience and I hope no one else has to deal with the people that work here.

Overall, The hotel met expectations. It was generally clean and quiet. The rooms are average size and somewhat updated in decor. The hotel did not have our confirmed room type available at check in, even though I had a written confirmation. There is NO POOL at this property, even though it may say it has one on the website. And, there was a discrepancy in the room price when we went to pay our bill. The restaurant is pretty good, if a bit loud. Location is excellent.
Great location. Close but not too close to the action. Bourbon and Royal street are only a 5 min walk away. Great customer service! The staff left champagne in the room for our anniversary!
I really only have one complaint about this place and its minor. The room is tiny. Upon walking in, the open door blocks the path to the bed. Very narrow entry.Otherwise this place is nice, the employees are nice and friendly and it was clean. It is a easy walk to Bourbon St. Walk out the front door, make a right then a right at the corner and keep walking straight.I would definitely stay here again.Edited to add floorplan photo. 1114 is where we stayed and its obviously the smallest room on the floor so apparently all the rooms arent this small.
Overall great stay. We came down for an anniversary trip. A few blocks to walk to Garden District and cemetery tour. Staff was amazing. We had the oysters at the bar each night. Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel, just a block outside the FQ for easy waking access to anything. Very convenient to taxi to and from this hotel to MSY airport. This property has a beautiful welcoming lobby, and lots of comfortable sitting areas. The rooms was well appointed, and spacious with a large comfy bed. Cool air-conditioning after a long hot day of walking Delicious food in coffee and beignets in the lobby. Plenty of restaurants nearby. 10/10 would stay here again!
I love the Marriott. This isnt one of their best or even close to it. But location is great. The tackelbox downstairs is great. You can walk to the other hotel for a pool Renaissance Arts (I think it is called) the staff was great
The staff were all very friendly and provided us with helpful information about the city. Great location. Close to Bourbon Street, however far away enough that you dont hear the noise. The building itself has an interesting history and architecture. I would stay here again. 😁
Everything at the hotel was great! The room was clean. Hotel itself was clean. Valet was nice. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice hotel, great city. Food and entertainment was very good at hotel and all around New Orleans. But 2 of the 3 mornings we had to shower without warm water. Not life threatening, but not expected. We realize things happen and did not complain, primarily because it was unlikely someone could throw a switch somewhere and make the water turn warm.
Lucky to have a corner room. Large windows on two sides! Great views down the street. Comfortable dining alone -- had a delicious dinner and local beer. Excellent, professional service from front desk staff. Close enough to walk to all the New Orleans top spots but far enough away for peace and quiet. Highly recommend.
The rooms can be a bit cozy, but the bathrooms are huge and the hotel feels very nice. The location is also very convenient to everything that New Orleans has to offer. Overall, its an excellent hotel.
The updated rooms looked great. Ask for a corner room! One downside - if you are an elite member who is used to the free breakfast perk, they do not do that here. They will give you points instead and you do not have a choice. I also didnt care for the location of the hotel. As long as you uber to and from the hotel at night, there is no problem. Id caution about walking here at night.
The room was nice all except we only had a king size bed instead of 2 beds in our room, to which they brought up a roll away bed. There was my husband and I, and our 2 teenage kids, aged 15 and 14. Housekeeping could have vacuumed our floor better prior to our arrival because I saw crumbs on the floor in several places when we arrived Friday afternoon. The bathroom could have been better designed because when you open the shower door, the shower door is a pinch from hitting the toilet. The shower molding to hold the shower door closed needs to be fixed because there was space in between the two to where water escaped and made a puddle right beside the toilet that we had to keep wiping up after each shower use. All the staff was nice and made sure we had all that we needed. Hotel was in a great location of town so that you can explore the French Quarter by foot. We valet parked my husbands truck Friday after checking in and didnt need to use it until it was time to leave on Sunday morning. Valet parking was nice all except, I think the valet put a few scratches on my husbands truck. Next time, we will bring his truck cover and ask that we be allowed to go up and cover his truck up to prevent any further scratching. All in all, we had an awesome time and I must say that the location was great and the price we paid for the stay was outstanding! We were grateful that we were accommodated on such short notice in a great location and most of all, reasonably priced, especially during a special even weekend (Thanksgiving/Bayou Classics). We always try to stay at Marriott chain hotels because they are usually reasonably priced and nice, cleanly, and comfortable for my family and I. The hotel staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to take care of our needs and requests during our stay. Weve always had great experiences with the Marriott chain.
Hotel was very nice and clean! Staff was very professional and handled our emergency with ease and courtesy! We definitely will be back to this hotel!
Very nice refurb of and older property. Room was very comfortable with standard Marriott comfy bed. Tall enough to get some good views if you get a room on the north side. Bathroom updated and quite serviceable. No USB power ports and limited AC outlets. Restaurant was OK though service was slow but lots of better options around Nola. Hotel staff fairly friendly.
Cant say enough wonderful things about the hotel: parking is convenient worth the extra money, staff is fabulous and the dining suggestions outstanding! Truly the best dinner we have had in a long time. Housekeeping is the best not only could you see the room was clean but smell the cleanliness in the hallway and our room!
Two girlfriends and myself stayed at the Renaissance for Mardi Gras. Even with the high demand of service the Renaissance staff was very efficient and friendly. The guest room was nice and clean. We throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.
I’m used to the Renaissance brand being modern, super clean, above average staff, great in room amenities etc. This property is just blah and nothing above average. That said, I didn’t have any problems per se — just the overall impression is that this Renaissance is lower quality compared to its peers. For example, they didn’t read or action any of my mobile checkin requests (eg shaving and toothbrush kit). For example, the bathtub tap was old and getting the shower started by pulling up on the lever required a lot of force! In this brand category I have to rate this property lower.
I had been in New Orleans a week prior to staying in the Pere Marquette Renaissance. Walking in the door you are instantly charmed. The employees were so welcoming and willing to help. Anytime you left the hotel or came back after a long day of being a tourist they were willing to help. The restaurant downstairs has excellent Creole cuisine all an elevator ride away. While staying at the Pere Marquette, I was also getting a feel for New Orleans to see if I would want to relocate for Graduate school. This hotel and the surrounding area was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do.
The stay at your hotel was not pleasant and very disappointing. I will be writing to your corporate office to voice my complaint and unhappiness. Here are the issues:Upon arriving (Friday Sept 27th at 11:45pm) they DID NOT have the room that I reserved. I reserved and paid (upfront) for a King. I was placed in a room with 2 small bed. The clerk stated that they made a mistake and gave away my room. The beds were too small for me and my wife to sleep together comfortably. The hotel management promised me a larger room bed first thing in the morning. I did not get the room with the larger bed until around 2:30/3:00. My wife was very angry. We were told to pack up our belongings and they would hold them downstairs until the room was ready - UNACCECTABLE!The new room was located on the 7th floor which obviously was the party floor. It was loud until 3/4 in the morning until I went downstairs to complain that we could not sleep. The gentleman was very kind but took another 30 minutes before coming up to deal with the situation. Im still very angry. I should have not even have been charged for 2 of the horrible nights! I used my hard earned points for this tragedy - UNACCEPTABLE!
Its smells great throughout the lobby and halls!. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff are very accommodating, friendly, informative starting with valet attendants, front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, etc. Glenn (bellhop) is a wonderful source of information and very personable. We plan on staying here the next time definitely! Not too far from all of the action, yet far enough to get away from party to have a little quiet time. Theres a nice photo booth stand for snap shots and gif that allows guest to post on social media (cool). The only draw back is I wish there was a microwave available that I could reheat my take home food from all the fabulous restaurants surrounding the hotel.RETRACTION: microwaves are available upon request. Delivered to your room or theres a designated place in the lobby. the front desk staff can assist you to gain access.
Good location and comfortable bed, but fails to execute on basic issues. VIP room is provided for elite members in lieu of a true lounge, but elite members cannot access it for hours on end (without notice) because we dont have the staff to restock it. Elevators are claustrophobically small, with a warning to guests not to overcrowd them. If you get the room for less than 100 bucks, take it. If not, you may regret it. There are better hotels in NOLA.
Every aspect of this experience was stellar. The staff- Amazing! The room-excellent! The Tacklebox-impressive! Rarely ever do I frequent hotel restaurants more than once. I dined At the Tackle Box practically everyday. I truly Received southern at its finest during my stay. I highly Recommend this property as it’s around the corner from Bourbon Street, and minutes from Harrah’s Casino, Riverwalk Outlets, The Shops at Canal Place, a plethora of restaurants and Café Du Monde to name a few. This property didn’t disappoint. I hope You enjoy it as much as i did!
Just got back from a great stay at the Renaissance New Orleans in the French Quarter. Hotel location was perfect, could walk just about everywhere I wanted to visit. The staff was very warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They helped me with tips for places to see and restaurants to try that werent the common tourist type places. Any questions I had regarding my stay were answered promptly and efficiently. All of the areas I passed through were tidy with a modern boutique design. My room was clean and organized. The fitness center was a bit basic, but the equipment was clean and newer and they offered complimentary loaner headphones along with fresh apples and towels (very nice touches). Overall experience was great, I would highly recommend and look forward to my next stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The location was perfect for all of the things we had planned to do while in town. The lobby was beautiful. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. Our room was very nice. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a great time and we definitely plan to return in the near future. Thank you!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was great, and very accommodating. The room was beautiful. I was on the 16th floor, and I had great views of the city. The room I had was gorgeous, and the bed was super comfy. The hotel was very close to the french quarter, and it was an easy walk. Highly recommend this hotel for the nice room, and the easy access to Bourbon street, Jackson Square, etc. Book this hotel - you wont regret it.
I was very disappointed with the Marriott brand. This is the 1st time that I was told that the reservation doesnt guarantee the room type. I booked a 2 Double bedroom for 4 people and was given the smallest King bedroom that you had. We were given 1 rollaway bed, but the room was so small that we had No leg room at all. I asked for a discount and was told that no discount could be given. The next morning, I saw a King room that was very large. I was able to have my group switched to a much larger King room. I think that the Management Staff could have planned much better than this. The smaller King rooms shouldve been given to guests with 1 or 2 people. The 2nd day, the staff took more than 2 hours and 3 calls to bring up a blow up mattress. The staff brought up a low air mattress that was very short on air. We didnt even care to complain anymore. We just wanted to enjoy the rest of our trip.
We were impressed the minute we walked in. The hotel was beautifully decorated, smelled nice, and the staff was wonderful. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom nicely updated. The location was great...not in the center of everything, but just around the corner and within walking distance. We will absolutely stay here again!
I loved the Location of this Hotel. The bar was welcoming and good price for drinks but they could use an actual Bar tender. The place was clean. The shower was clean. Lighting was good.I would definitely come back to stay here. Rates were good too.
Pretty great hotel. Quiet and only a short distance from the French Quarter. The water pressure was great and the beds were so comfortable I realized my bed at home sucks.
Nice hotel. Had a good stay. Loved the location. Short walking distance to Bourbon St and anything you need in French Quarter plus places in the Central Business District. Staff was pretty helpful. Provided all request we needed.Tacklebox restaurant is good. Rooms are small and tub drains slowly. Otherwise pretty clean. Nice lobby and common area. Bar hours seemed inconsistent. Never knew the time it opened or closed.
Pere Marquette was amazing. The service was phenomenal. The hotel is beautiful and clean and hip/trendy. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable with a fabulous bed and pillows. The refrigerator was very clean and cold. The shower had an amazing shower head and wonderful Aveda products in a very large bathroom. The closet was huge. But most of all was the service! Amazing lobby employees, room service and extra effort by key personnel. The modern technology using your phone as room key provided automated check in requiring 0 stopping at front desk on arrival. This was also great for any inquires of employees due to automated check in lowering any lines at the front desk. I was very surprised by the aesthetics, space, service and amenities given the price point. I will definitely be back!!The only downside really was I did not see a USB charging station. I looked in the lamps, the plugs and anywhere they are usually at. I luckily had a USB to plug converter and battery packs of my own. Also the WIFI connection provided to members free of charge was extremely slow when trying to do work on my laptop. Im guessing the high speed extra cost option is needed for anything above a smart phone.
The hotel is affiliated with an upscale chain and as such should measure up to superior standards. The restaurant/bar menu offered limited selection but given the number of alternatives readily available, was appropriate for those not wishing to venture out. I would have appreciated a robust breakfast buffet, but food was well prepared and of appropriate quality. Service was a bit on the slow side but otherwise responsive.

Went to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and very energetic. The location is the best literally a block from Canal and Bourbon.
This hotel was within walking distance of bourbon street, good food like Johnny Sanchez and Ruby Slipper. Uber drivers were always available. The rooms were very stylish and the lighting at night was perfect for a weekend getaway with the girls. The lobby staff were always friendly and there were always games or the selfie photo booth in the lobby to keep us engaged while waiting on our entire party to arrive. Although we didn’t try it, there’s was a conveniently adjoining restaurant that served coffee and beignets. I would definitely recommend this place for future fun trips.
Ive stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 7 years and keep returning because of the excellent service, room and location. Its close enough to the French Quarter so that you can enjoy everything this part of New Orleans has to offer, yet far enough away that its quiet at night. Staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean. Restaurant in the hotel (MiLa) has excellent food and an excellent bar. Room service (especially the breakfast!) is reasonably priced, served promptly, and delicious. Valet service is excellent and my car has always been well taken care of and brought down within 10 minutes of my call for it. There are even drugstores nearby if you forget anything at home! Ive stayed at other hotels in this area that were a little pricier, but have always returned to the Pere Marquette, as it is my favorite overall.
The location of the hotel was great. We were able to walk to so many places, which I loved. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the food service was amazing and a great deal. My only complaint is with the check in process we experienced. We waited over 30 minutes for a valet. They were not attentive to our needs and could have moved the process along in a quicker manner.
Wonderful hotel with a great location. The restaurant has great food and excellent service. Clean, awesome staff and we will be back!
Were really pleased with hotel. Friendly welcome every time you came in or went out. Efficient check in, met our request for a quiet room. Stayed 6 nights and found it an excellent location for getting on the street car in every direction. Also easy to walk to all areas of French Quarter. It was in a really quiet location. Had a wonderful vacation in New Orleans.
