Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your room. They compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure wont be let down.Gabriella W. Supervisor at the hotel was amazing. We had an issue with hotel.com and she took care of it. Genuinely cared and expressed her concern. She checked up on us every time we saw each other, until finally are issue with hotels.com was resolved.
Internet speeds are terrible, nothing like a .4 down/up that is constantly disconnecting making a simple web page take 5 minutes to load. Shower was luke warm at best. If you bring food to your room there is no where on your floor to throw it out so you either go down to the lobby and fond the trash or have it in your room all night. The sheet on the bed was ripped and the tv damaged with a white line down the middle.
Nice hotel, bed was comfortable and pool/gym was nice. Only complaint was on our stay the ice maker on our floor wasnt working so had to go a few floors to find one, no microwave in room, and the bathroom is very narrow/small but was still clean/nice. Staff was all very friendly. Also, so aware, There isnt a fridge in the room, just a cooler.
The staff was a great as a Marriott platinum member this was one of my favorite places to visit nice view of the city and you are walking distance from everything from food to entertainment. Bourbon street, french quarters the casino and aquarium is no problem of a walk you also have valet Parking if you dont trust parking your car in public parking
My stay was wonderful! My sisters and I had a wonderful time and Darius (front desk receptionist) made our trip amazing. It wasnt a big deal about going to the front to get towels or that the bar/restaurant wasnt open. TOWELS WERE AVAILABLE EVERY TIME WE ASKED AND THE STRIP IS OPEN! The only compliant that I had was that the valet parking payment was explained wrong. We were told that we could pay cash but the hold was put on my card (due to them not taking cash). Overall the hotel is a whole vibe for me!
The room was extremely hot. Notified front desk. Keith the maintainace guy came and checked out the room. He said the air condition runs on a chiller system and its going to be hot. He put the air on 60° and it was still was hot. Keith brought us a fan to use for the weekend. When leaving the room, we had to close curtain and turn off all lights so the room can stay cool. This was my birthday weekend, we made the best of it.
Very clean. Not too much in the room but just enough to feel comfortable.
When I arrived I was told there was no room service, I was also told that the pool was out for service, and the parking is $50 per night. I was here for 4 nights which is and extra $200 on top of the $400+ it cost for the hotel room so in reality this place is a lot more expensive than it seems. Later on my 4th day of being here no one told me that I could have requested cleaning services so when I ask if someone could come clean because no one told me I was told no and that I had to have 24 hour notice. How was I supposed to give a 24 hour notice when no one told me. The rooms are also pretty small and the restroom is literally a box. It’s so small that you can’t even open the bathroom door and the shower door at the same time! Just be mindful of what you are getting when you book this hotel!
Positive: The location was great and the staff very nice. Negative: They would bot give you more towels or toilet paper. They also did not clean the room during our stay, because of COVID protocols which I knew about before staying, but it was still very inconvenient.

Stayed at leMeridien from 5/20 through 5/23. The rooms were small but comfy. My friend provided a card at check in but at check put i provided my card. Received a folio stating my card was charged but come to find out all charges still went to my friend. Called 5/26 and was informed by front desk staff I had to wait until Friday, 5/28 to speak with supervisor to have correct card added. Called the morning of 5/28 and was informed once card is charged they cannot reverse. If you are splitting billing with someone or want to change method of payment at check out stay clear of this hotel
All good but back to COVID restrictions. Mask needed, bar or restaurant, gym and pool all closed temporarily. The timeline is August 24th to evaluate the situation and reopen all the facilities in the hotel. Otherwise good looking structure and super nice rooms with a view of the city, friendly service. The parking situation if you park at the hotel is all valet parking for $50 a day. Hope everything goes back to normal by the end of August it has great potential to be a good hang out spot but right now is like a ghost town.
I was worried I could t find a place to park with a trailer, even though we paid for parking. Antonio at valet set my mind as ease. Moved some cars around to accommodate my Jeep plus small trailer. This gesture of excellent customer service made our experience perfect. Please make sure he’s rewarded for great service!
Nice hotel stay. Will be much better once all covid restrictions are lifted and the in hotel bar and food service is restarted. Be prepared for valet parking of roughly $50 per night or find parking on your own. Overall great experience.
Corrina the hostess was wonderful we came from Houston asked to be placed on the same floor she was very helpful placed us all on the same floor rooms were nice enjoyed my stay will return special shout out to Corrina and guys in valet was helpful giving us directions on how to get places appreciated it everybody who worked there that we came in contact with was friendly thanks for making my visit pleasant
No cable, no one knows why. No swimming pool or exercise equipment, closed because they are all broken?? No on-site restaurants, could not get a straight answer on this, they just keep asking if they can recommend somewhere else. Salons closed. Same high price, which I would not mind paying if everything was working, stay somewhere else, where things that are listed are actually there. Called for manager and was sent to voice mail, manager not on site. Oh and the ice machine does not work.
This hotel is a dream away from 4-stars. They will never make 4-stars by any rating. #1 the staff does not understand customer service. They only change towels after 4 days. There is no food or room service available. The place is moderately clean. The description says the room is a figment of somebody’s imagination. My King Bed, City View, Corner, Large Room is ridiculously small and not at all as displayed on the website. This is a modest accommodation at it’s best. If you are looking for a luxurious, comfortable hotel, this is not the place to stay.
Left my room to grab something to eat. Came back my door was open with the locks out. Went to the front no could help me. My money was gone and shoes. On top of that the air didn’t work good at all. Room was still hot after 8 hours. My first time staying at this hotel and the last time.
Long time familiar with this great brand and extremely disappointed with New Orleans property. I wouldve stayed at motel 6 next time, seriously many other great options for quarter the price. ZERO service, hallways are dirty and dingy.
This hotel is horrible! The only positive thing that I can say is Saniz was very helpful. I wish I could give this rating a 0. The carpet, linen, mattress and shower was very dirty. I used this hotel to evacuate and OMG, the nightmare began before the hurricane. I have stayed at many LeMeridien and Marriott brands domestic and internationally. The hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but it appeared that all marijuana smokers were there. As an asthmatic, it was difficult to breathe. There were other problems, but the list would go on and on. I would not recommend this hotel!!!!
Positive: The bed was comfortable bathroom clean. Negative: Due to ¿Covid¿, all the outlets in the hotel were shut down. Many other hotels in the area were up and running at full pace. The Halls were very dark and uncomfortable to walk through. The hotel was not at all what the photos depicted.
After we checked in and made it to the room, my husband noticed the toilet didnt flush. He phoned downstairs expecting someone to immediately coming up. We left, went to eat, and walk around. Upon our arrival back to the room 5 hours later, the toilet still did not flush. My husband phoned downstairs again to let them know. I decided to go downstairs to share with them our concern. After 15 or so minutes waiting, the receptionist switched us to another room. In addition, 1/2 of the lights didnt come on. We were confused. Needless to say, we had to go around to plug up all lamps. Restrooms were a little tight. The view in the 1st room was great (16th floor). After we moved to the new room (5th floor), we had a view over the pool area. The bed was very comfortable and although the restroom was tight, the shower was spacious. The location was great! We were right across the street from casino and only a block from Canal street. We were in walking distance to several eateries.
The motto of this hotel is we only provide accommodation Maybe its because of the pandemic. Nice but Busy hotel in the center of town. Excessive garage parking charges. Ok experience.
The online photos are way better than the hotel. My first room smelled like there was a sewage issue. So, they moved me to a different room. Although, the new room is better, it still smells bad. The room does not appear or smell clean. The sheets are very dingy and old. None of the bars or restaurants are open for business. So, no room service. I am so disappointed that I am currently on hold with American Airlines to see if I can cut trip short and leave tomorrow and I just checked in a few hours ago. Soooo disappointed. The rooftop pool is definitely not spectacular as they described it on we site. Very disappointing….ruined my entire trip.
Very disappointed with the entire experience. No staff, I had to get my own towels, take out my own trash, and clean up daily while on my weekend getaway. My car was valet at the casino garage and they charged me to get my own vehicle 6am I was told you are on the 7th floor we dont know where exactly but find it. Very disappointed the hotel customer service complaint never address my issue told me that the manager said we will give her 25$ back and they never did. Unacceptable for Marriott til this date no one has called ME or spoke to me DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY. my thing is if it was going to be a trash visit then charge trash prices.
The ladies at the receptionist/check in desk treated hotel guests like they were a nuisance for approaching them about anything. I say this because: 1. My initial check in experience was disappointingly subpar and 2. I watched several interactions with other hotel patrons and the same lackluster service was observed. They were short, impatient, unfriendly, and not helpful at all when asked customary business oriented questions. You received a simple, “I don’t know” without any effort to find an answer to whatever question you asked. Over the last few years, I have stayed in a myriad hotels while in New Orleans and this was absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve encountered ever.On the bright side, the location is amazingly convenient and the rooms are pristine.
This place was in perfect location, across street from casino, steps away from French Quarter, and a few blocks from Bourbon. Upon arrival, valet was very nice, receptionist was welcoming and nice as well. First thing I noticed when entering hotel was the beautiful smell and how uniquely decorated it was. Room was awesome and beds were super comfortable which made it hard to get out of the day of check out. Lol I most definitely will be staying here again!
Great location, feel like Covid gives the property an excuse to be lax on hospitality. Room was semi clean, rug and sofa stained, table’s dusty and worn out. Linen aged and thin. No room service or cleaning during your stay, pool area closed, bar area closed, pretty much a great place to sleep and shower but not one to relax in. View to city/ river great.. windows need cleaning and furniture upkeep.
Nice Hotel but some amenities are closed to Covid and the aftermath. Had a corner room with views of the river and the city. Hotel is centrally located, very easy walking to the French Quarter, Warehouse District and the Superdome
Not a great place to stay in if you are in New Orleans and staying there more than three days. I would stay away because my experience here was unhygienic, saw dust piled in the counter, and stain on the bed sheet. Honestly, I don’t know why it is a 4 star hotel. They have a gym that’s also rarely cleaned and equipped with water dispenser that’s filled with a tap water.
Great views, very clean and quiet. Staff was excellent. Close to many restaurants and attractions.
Beautiful Lobby! Rooms are OK no refrigerator couldnt get into the mini bar, bathroom stunk had to buy a can of Lysol. The pool is small
Well kept, nice stay for the price paid! Room view of city was 👍🏿. Only thing, vehicle traffic flow. However, its New Orleans 🤷🏿♂️
Positive: The location is great convenient to food, shopping, and the casino. Negative: The rooms are extremely small. The bathroom is barley big enough for you to stand in. The room was advertised with a fridge, it¿s not a fridge it¿s a cooler which barley keep anything cold. The hotel only has 1 microwave for all their guest.
If anybody is looking for bargain deals for hotel rooms head to ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a hotel room on there and they had the best prices any where!Great hotel. Very nice ppl at the front desk. Real clean. The room was excellent. Bathroom was nice a clean as well.
Wow... this is by far the best hotel I’ve ever been to. It’s right in the heart of New Orleans. Everything is walking distance. Harrahs, aquarium, mall, and the French quarter. Will most definitely be coming back!!!
When we arrived to check in and move into our room it took about 30 minutes for one of the 4 elevators to come down to the 1st floor and there were dozens of people waiting. As soon as we entered the room we were disappointed by how cramped it was in the entryway and bathroom. There were so many things broken in the room such as door handles about to fall off, unhinged dresser doors, the sink sounded like a power generator whenever you used the right handle, and overnight the sink started to make a loud squeaking noise even though the tap was closed. When you opened the shower door it made 5-6 loud poping sounds that probably resonated throughout the entire floor. And although it was pretty pricy the hotel did not include parking, you have to pay $50 for a valet to take you car away and there is no food at the hotel at all. This stay was not worth the amount paid. Except for the Valets they were very nice and helpful when it came to finding your way around.
Nice hotel. Just need to be lil more spacious. But relaxing
1 star is being generous. By far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The place looks nothing like the photos on the website. There’s no onsite parking. You have to pay $40+ a day for their valet or $40+ a day to park at the lot across the street. There is no room service, no restaurant, no bar, and no vending machines. We had no ice bucket and the ice machine didn’t work. They don’t clean the room during your stay. They also do not provide new towels, so plan on using the same set during your entire stay. The rooms are very small and awkwardly configured. The pool is very small, more like a wading pool than a swimming pool.Needless to say, this was a very disappointing stay and I will not be staying with them again.
I really wanted to give a 5 star rating. I enjoyed the staff specifically the night manager she was so nice and accommodating. I loved the location as it was an easy walk to French quarter and Jackson square. The rooms were kept better when it was the W. It just was as clean as it should have been especially with Marriott’s corporate Covid statement. They should really look into hiring in house cleaning service. There was a huge mustard stain on the floor we covered it with a hand towel and wore house shoes bc we did not feel like switching rooms. I alerted the manager to avoid room charges. Also the stench in the lobby is a turn off but the manager explained the smell was due to plumbing. I recommend looking into purchasing Murphy oil soap to flush the pipes and rid the smell.
When I check in and when to my room the HVAC cover was off the unit exposing dust and dirt that looked as if it had never been cleaned. I took a picture to take to the front desk a show them how if found the room and I was told that they would take me to another room. I wait for about 45 minutes and now one said anything. I approach the desk again and the clerk told me she was taking me back to my old room to inspect it. Once inside the room she stated that everything was clean and the air filter had been replaced, but ithey would place the HVAC cover back on. I told her I was highly alleric to dust and she should not move to cover because it would stur up more dust. She stated that she had allergies as well and I should be fine. I became very upset and ask for a manager. I went back down to the front desk to get the manager and I told the manager what the other staff member had just done and she said she would take me to my room. Once the manager was on the elevater with me she started to make statment like What if I got load, what if I wanted to fight. I told her that I was upset and did not want to fight and she would not stop threating me and I told her that I was call the police and I was not about to follower her anywhere after she threated me. The police came and she lied about everything and I was told I had to leave.
Ive been to many fine hotels and this one definitely stood amongst the top! Felt at home while away. Very clean, professional, and relaxing. For sure will stay again.
My stay was from 5/28 to 5/29/21 the best thing about this hotel was the valet team super fast friendly and cool but the price of the two night stay on top of small rooms, no complimentary water, the room ac was malfunctioning, and for the price of $425.91 I couldn’t even get late check out I don’t recommend this property at all but the valet was A-1
The front desk was amazing in changing our room from a King bed and a fold out couch (that the site Hotels.com advertises and the hotel doesnt have fold out couches.) to 2 queen beds at not extra cost.
We called the morning of our stay and the person I talked to at the front desk guaranteed early check in. We got there at 1 and was told our room was not ready and we wouldn’t be able to check in until 4. We missed our dinner reservations because we had no where to get ready. To park our car overnight was $50. When we came back at 4 we were told our room was still not ready. The refrigerator didn’t work and neither did the A/C. The bed was super lumpy. The bathroom was okay. We will never return here. The staff was unbelievably rude.
For a Marriott Rewards member who usually only chooses Marriott, this hotel was disappointing. We were informed at check-in, that due to COVID-19, the pool was closed. When we were surprised, we were told It was on our website. That means, on my computer and on the Marriott App, it took over 6 clicks to find out the pool was closed.. on to the next day, when we ran out of toilet paper and towels. There were 4 of us. We booked the room as 4. We were given a little less than half of a roll of toilet paper and 3 towels. When my daughter was ill, and in the bathroom, my sister called up to the front desk for more toilet tissue, and was informed there would be some at the front desk. When she asked about housekeeping, she was informed that there was no housekeeping. She would have to come to the desk and get it. I walked down and had a few words with Phoenician, who told me they werent stocking rooms to Avoid Waste. I asked if this included individually wrapped rolls of toilet tissue..... I understand that COVID-19 has been trying for everyone. However, there were SEVERAL other hotels in the area with open pools, fitness centers, restaurants, and housekeeping. Marriott, Im so disappointed in you.
Our first room was dirty and had half full cups of some brown mystery liquid all over. 2nd room has a shower that floods the bathroom. There is no housekeeping available, so your room will not be cleaned during your stay. The room across the hall has had a literal pile of trash sitting outside the door for two days so far.Literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Le meridien would not honor the contract they made with another establishment and ruined my mothers day gift to my loved ones. There was no equal treatment for all guests. It is disappointing. The staff needs additional training due to the lack of cohesiveness and the lack of customer service. If traveling is going to be like this we should just stay home. Save your money stay at an Air bnb or another hotel.
I wish I would have KNOWN PRIOR TO CHECK IN that there would be zero amenities at the hotel. No restaurant, no bar, no housekeeping, $8 bottles of water and $5 gatorades... absolutely ridiculous. Le Meridien cannot afford to put a fitted sheet on the bed? C’mon now.... Trash just had to pile up in the room until we FOUND someone to dispose of it and bring more towels. The worst stay for a short ‘vacay.’ When it rained, the TV went out. They should just STAY CLOSED until services return to the quality that is expected at a Marriott property.
Bought my hotel ahead of time before going to New Orleans,to celebrate my 21st birthday. saw this hotel looked very nice & fancy I didn’t have a budget on spending so I went with this hotel thinking it would be amazing! I Was wrong☹️ & no refunds...- No house keeping- rooms were not clean at all, even after switching rooms- carpet is gross- no pool- no bar-no gym- no free parking- one of elevators stank like vomit- pictures are deceiving, not what I was expecting at all.But I really enjoyed New Orleans! Will be back ... but not at this hotel..
One of the Nastiest Hotels I ever stayed in. My Room obviously wasn’t cleaned I had clothing tags left on the floor, the bathroom had hair all around the sink, and the bottom of the sink seemed as if it wasn’t cleaned in a long time.My bed was the worst. I could tell that the Duvet wasn’t cleaned and it was completely ripped. Hand prints all over the mirror. After complaining the hotel manager never returned my calls. I will never visit this location ever
LeMeridien should stand for Le may Never Go There Again. We checked in with them telling us our rooms would only be cleaned ever four days. I told him thats unacceptable which he replied there was nothing he could do about it. If we needed towels etc. We would have to come and get them from the front desk. Our vacation was already paid for so my husband went along with it. Well our room wasnt clean and it needed repairs. The worst hotel I have ever stayed.. I contacted the front desk who advised me someone would be there. We waited over 1 hour no one came so I cleaned the room. This was indeed the worst celebration of my life. Everytime we left and returned we had to get a new key no we didnt keep it near our phone. No one seemed to care about the hotel issues just telling us they are short staffed. That didnt change the facts I cleaned that nasty room and had to find a place to place the trash. This was supposed to be a fun celebration of my birthday before my surgery. Thanks LeMeridien for stealing my joy. Lets not forget the ceiling peeling and falling, dirty toilet, dirty wash cloth, soap and tooth paste top left on the bathroom floor, sticky carpet, dirty walls. Yes I reported this more than once to the front desk all I first received was attitude from folks at the desk. First was a older white man and young blackman then a heavy set young lady. Then there was a meeting with three ladies in the lobby and I told them about what had happen. She sent a lady to clean the room and she only did a half job the soap on the floor and dirty walls and ceiling was never addressed. Just to cover myself here is my photos receipt as proof
Compared to three years ago it’s night and day. There was dirty towels behind our couch in the room, the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since their was writing on the shower door. The pool was being occupied by people not even staying their being let in by their friends. Every single morning for the 5 day stay we were woken up by the cleaning ladies yelling at each other down the hallway from 7am-9am. On top of it all once we received our car back from valet after checking out ALL of the car was looked through, ALL my settings have been changed, AND my car stereo was blaring to the point I jumped and it was on a station which we do not listen to. I feel very violated that someone took it upon themselves to treat my car as their own property and we paid them to do so. Thank god all are valuables were on us or else they could of been taken. Will never stay here again and it’s sad because it used to be one of our favorites in the world.
Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, this hotel was horrible. When we arrived we had to carry our luggage for 3 days w/o a buggy. We had to have the initial room we were provided changed due to there being stains on the floor and furniture. It was still a sticky substance on the furniture in the room also. It also was a hair net on the side of the couch. That’s horrible with COVID! The room we were changed to shower ceiling was falling apart. At that point we just decided to stay because we were to tired to move again. There wasn’t a ice bucket and the ice machine on two floors below us were broke so we had to go 3 floors down to get ice. The linen was yellow and old, not white. The furniture had burns on it. This is no longer a 4 star hotel. Although it’s decorated nicely, it’s very run down. The outside windows were so dirty you could barely see out your window. They need to remodel this hotel. The carpet was coming up on my floor at a room door. The valet drove my car like maniac. I’d never stay here again. The only reason it got a star is because of the friendly front desk staff. I felt so bad for them to have deal with complaints at this hotel.
Visited mid May in 2021. An unfortunate disappointment, the hotel was still under covid restrictions. No bag assistance, no restaurant or room service available, no cleaning until your stay is over and the pool is a bit too small. The service in general was mediocre, people dont look in a good mood probably for the lack of service and customers complaining about it. For amex customers there are no upgrades available, you may get an obscure room with no view, the breakfast transfers into an unfair amount of points. Advice to check for other options and the experience you wish to have during your stay in Nola.
I honestly did not want to give Le Meridian any stars however its location was the only plus in this entire scenario. Upon reaching Le Meridian, the best option for parking is Valet. Its $50 per night and is billed to the room. They park your car and it only takes ten minutes to get it back when you need it. So I suppose thats worth the one star. Entering the hotel, you get a sense of wow but that only lasts until you reach the front desk where a disheveled grumpy man named Edwin hardly greets you. His attitude should have been a clear indication this entire hotel would be the biggest mistake of our lives. Check-in is at 4 PM. We get there less than twenty minutes early. My partner provides her name and all he says is, The room isnt ready. We dont know when itll be ready. It could be an hour, it could be four hours. But I can call you when its ready. Who wants to wait up to four hours for their room to be ready? We have all of our luggage with us. The car is already parked in the back in the valet parking lot. So, we sit and we wait. Large families come in, checkin, and get their room. Couples come in, get their keys for their room, and are on their way. While my partner and our friend sit and wait for a room that supposedly isnt ready. My partner goes up after thirty minutes and comes back saying he didnt even ask for my name. He just said it wasnt ready. So we wait another thirty minutes. More groups come and get their keys. Now, mind you, we have a double bed hotel room. We reserved it weeks in advance. A family of five walks in. They get their keys, and walk to the elevator for their room. At this point, Im beginning to wonder if its because were gay. The third time my partner goes to check on our room, I go with her. He barely looks up from his computer behind the desk and says, Its not ready. I ask, I see people come and go. Groups smaller and larger than ours who arent waiting but get keys right away. How do you know its not ready if you havent even looked at the computer? How long is it going to take? He finally asks my partner for her name and goes oh. we have one available. I was absolutely livid. My partner asks, How come its available now? He shrugged and said, It just was. My partner and I both know its because I walked up with her this time. Huge disappointment in his lack of empathy and respect for his patrons. I understand covid leaves businesses short staffed but that was completely ridiculous! To top it off, when we got to the room, it wasnt even cleaned. Its as if management told their housekeepers to just make the beds and wipe down the surfaces. The carpet was dirty. When I checked the sheets, one bed had foundation (makeup) all over the flat sheet and the fitted sheets. The other bed had dirty foot prints and black dirt marks all over the sheets both fitted and flat sheets. I wont even discuss the comforters because everyone knows that dont get washed. The carpet had coffee and drink stains. It was an a absolute disaster. We took photos of the damages in case they try to charge us for something ridiculous because at this point, I wouldnt put it past them. So as any self respecting adult would do, I go downstairs to talk to the manager. I tell her our experience with Edwin and with the room. She is less helpful than Edwin was! Unsympathetic. Didnt care at all! No apologies, no I understand. Nothing! Literally said we can get you another room but we dont know how long itll take or I can give you new sheets. Im not paid to change sheets. I ask for a discount because if Im doing their work, I should at least get paid for it, Im on vacation. Im paying them. I dont have the authority to do that, but heres the Gms number. Who by the way, is listed as a local number; it takes you directly to their LMNO restaurant and local concierge. Not even a direct number to the front desk.Absolutely the worst. I would not recommend coming here.
I would not recommend this hotel. The management was extremely unprofessional and completely disregarded my reservation made on priceline. Customer service is clearly not a focus at this location.
My husband and I have just recently made our 1st visit to New Orleans and we stayed here, and in the future we will absolutely be staying at this hotel again. Not only was the aesthetic of the hotel beautiful and modern, the hotel staff was very kind and attentive. They made sure we were welcome and assisted us with anything we needed. Not to mention they went above and beyond to ensure that my husband got his watch back after we had left. We live out of state and Valerie made sure to help us get his watch back to him. I cant thank you all enough for your hospitality. Also a plus is that its very close to downtown and in walking distance of restaurants and shopping areas.
Would not recommend this hotel at all. They did not honor my travelzoo contract, even though the company contacted them to get issue resolved. They stated to the rep, they dont check the comment section (where they require the voucher number to be placed). After paying full price for my hotel my room was not cleaned there was so much dust on the walls I thought it was mold, my bed leg was broken. It was just a really bad experience and Im dont know why they are rated 4 stars at all. I asked several times for a late check out and was denied, but noticed a gentleman check in and request it and was allowed. I was very disappointed and when I return to New Orleans in July, I will stay anywhere but here.
Stayed here December 2019, was a really nice clean room. Facilities were modern and worked well, spacious, housekeeping did a great job. Neighbours and room quiet. View was OK. My only complaint is that there was no fridge or microwave in the room--stayed here for 5 days and had to get takeout for every meal because of this. I understand that its a fancy hotel but must that mean that guests have nowhere to store their own food?
It wasnt horrible but it wasnt great either. I got there Thurs afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. They dont give you enough towels. We only got 1 roll of toilet paper. I know because of Covid they dont do housekeeping like they would usually pre Covid but you would think they would at least come knock on the door or call to see if we need anything. We didnt have a microwave or a refrigerator. Just a so called cooler that didnt get cool at all disguised as a refrigerator. I thought every motel or hotel had microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. Also kept finding these little black bugs on my pillow. On the sheets on our blanket and 1 on my towel.
As am spg now Marriott lifetime plus member, this whole 4 day stay was atrocious. No food or drink on site, no maid service until you leave even with multiple day stay I would say it was covid protocol but even the services offered were horrible, over the multiple days, they couldnt even get me into the room I paid for.
I spend 2-4 weeks on the road at a time throughout Covid and have been across9 different states in the past two months. A lot of us have done zero traveling for the past year, so I want to share this disclaimer: daily housekeeping is not happening anywhere, hotel restaurants and bars are closed at EVERY hotel I have been at. BELOVED TRAVELERS - DO NOT LET A REVIEW COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ALONE STOP YOU FROM SELECTING THIS OR ANY OTHER HOTEL. Reviewers: dont slam a place for what is a current reality at literally every hotel from 2 1/2 up to 5 star hotel. THEIR POOL IS OPEN, WHICH IS A RARITY FOR A LOT OF HOTELS BECAUSE OF COVID!!!!! I wish I could have had the time to use it; I peeked and its great.I work remotely, so it is important to me that I have a high quality internet connection and a comfortable environment. La Meridien was recommended to my friend and I by a close friend who for 16 years has traveled internationally for work and it definitely fit the bill. It is in the central business district a stones throw from the French Quarter, but I had no adverse experience due to noise or party peopleI experienced zero issues with my ability yo video conference and LOVED working from the courtyard! It is fenced in, with a number of couches with end tables and high top tables with chairs. I found an outlet in the corner so I could experience the people walking the streets and have nice green space with a view of the buildings and a mural! The lobby is artsy and comfortable, it is really something special, and they show a performance piece on loop at the entrance to the elevators with pieces from this throughout the lobby. The music is classy and French themed. I was happy to hear The Gotan Project playing one evening! The staff is absolutely fantastic! If I had to run upstairs for the bathroom or something, they kept an eye on my office space. I have long hair and need a lot of coffee, so when I on the daily came asking for these items, they were very happy to provide them to me. Even the valet manager stopped by when I was finishing up working for the day to ask above my stay and if there was anything anyone could do to make my stay more comfortable! When I checked out, they held my luggage in a secure room. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldnt return until the next day to retrieve it. It was safe and sound and there was no judgment or scolding! Please dont do that to them, it was unintentional on my part! The security here is great- twice I needed a replacement key (my fault) and the first time they checked my ID, about 4 days later after seeing me work in the courtyard 9+ hours a day, I didnt have my ID with me and they asked identifying questions to confirm my room number and I was stilla current guest. I will throw my 10+ years of hotel management experience behind this- it is a standard practice at hotels with REALLY good multi-layered security measures in place and was due diligence and NOT insinuating I was freeloading or trying to break in.The rooms are on the smaller side, but adequate for our needs, with large windows and a view of the city. The beds are comfortable, there are different thickness of pillows, a couch, and a desk area. Minibar is not in service (not that I would use it anyways, but this is also Covid common). There is no fridge, but the ice box did such a great job I legitimately thought my friend was teasing me that it isnt a fridge. The closet was enough for us, my friend used the safe, which was easy to operate, and there was adequate lighting. Even the corridors are peaceful.I very highly recommend you stay at LA Meridien. Tell them Theresa sent you and she hopes to be working from the courtyard again very soon. And no, I have no personal relationship to anyone at this hotel beyond the guest experience, which was top notch.
First they have to fix their system, on check in time they give you one amount & at check out time you will get the other amount which is more than they said & they have no answer. Bad experience ever. & rooms are are not so clean stains in couches & rugs
No service no towels didnt clean room and wouldnt answer would hang up
Embarrassing. The entire experience felt grimy, we won’t be trusting the Marriott brand with another hard earned dollar.Smells absolutely rotten in the lobby - everyday, WORSE than the streets of New Orleans . GET IT TOGETHERHad to request three replacements for sheets . 1) red stains on bed sheet 2) holes in pillowcase 3) holes in the duvetAdd that to no bar and no breakfast . Too many other good options to go to.
Great location! Everything is walking distance however the room is nasty ! And not at all what I expected from a 4 star hotel !Had stains on the sheets but No house keeping, I had to change them myself- rooms were not clean at all,- carpet is gross- pictures are deceiving, not what I was expecting at all.
Place needs some work. Shower leaks so bad had to get more towels to control the lake in the bathroom. Had a great view of the hotel next door. Even though we bout our room on expedia they could have given us a nicer room since I know with COVID they are not full... Just sayin take care of the customers you do have!!!!
Positive: Nothing! Negative: Everything was wrong. Cleanliness, no pool, no restaurant, after a certain time couldn¿t get vehicle from valet.
I travel extensively for work and have spent in excess of 100 nights in Marriott properties just this year alone(Titanium level member). So when we decided to plan a weekend birthday celebration for extended family it was myself that was tasked with finding accommodations. So naturally I went with the Marriott brand. The front desk staff were welcoming and polite upon check in. The room(s) however...left plenty to be desired. Our original room # was 2108. Ive literally had economy rooms that were twice the size but it was manageable. We quickly realized that the AC was not cooling properly and then we were moved to another room (1505).We of course went straight to the thermostat to cool the room and find that the adjustment piece is missing (Pic). I immediately called the front desk and nobody answered so we said screw it and went out on the town. We stopped at the front upon our return to get some more towels when I was able to make them aware of the issues with the current room. To be fair however...He offered to try and find us another room and I declined. I was just done with it at this point. But it gets better. When we returned for the night to settle in we found out that the TV doesnt work, the toilet is stopped up and bugs were flying around. At this point I was just done with it all and didnt even bother with making any more trips to the front desk or further attempting unanswered calls.Im a loyal Marriott customer because Ive never had an encounter even close to this at any of their other properties and have always left with the feeling of complete satisfaction. I will continue to patronize the Marriott brand because I know this experience is an exception and not the rule. But with that being said, I cannot in good conscience recommend this property until major changes are made.-Mike
Do not waste your money or time. Horrible service, they charge you for everything and require you to grab towels, toilet paper and shampoo ect. Claiming CoVID19 is the cause but every employee walking in had their mask under their chin. Rooms were dirty, AC didnt work, complaints were ignored and nothing comped. We travel often for business and vacation and will never return.
Nice place to stay! Although Valet parked our vehicle in the wrong spot and we got a ticket
I have higher standards for the Le meridien. Bathroom not perfectly clean, towels were ripped.
Great hotel. Very nice ppl at the front desk. Real clean. The room was excellent. Bathroom was nice a clean as well.
Small..prob better after covid BS...will come back
The room was decent and it was located in a great area. But the bathroom had a terrible moldy smell coming from the toilet. The bed had no cover sheet so I would wake on the actual mattress because the top sheet would get moved around while we were sleeping. The sheets had holes in them! Since the mattress was out I saw red stains all on the mattress which was gross! Lastly, no room service because of covid. If covid was really the issue the hotel would be closed because you can catch covid from anyone doing anything.
The rooms are small, not much in the way of amenities. No microwave, no ice bucket, there was a coffee pot but no cups… the room was clean though.
Stayed week before fat tuesday 2019 and had a blast. Our room looked out on the parade route, which made our stay extra special. Plus we were next door to Mothers Restaurant, another bonus. Rooms were modern and clean. No microwave, but we had a small fridge to keep leftovers and drinks. Overall we loved the location and the city views and would definitely stay again.
Beautiful hotel friendly staff and very clean.
Nasty staff. Rooms in disrepair
So disappointed, their bed the way they made it, my bed has a stain and you can hear the other guest snoring in the other room. Look scary their hallway so dark, and I thought the trully is free but we end up paying $15 dollar plus thier valet was so ridiculous price $50 dollar a night . And we put our reservation to city or river view but we end up nothing to see just the rooftop of the building .I wouldnt recommend this.
It did not meet my expectations. Too much was wrong and customer service checking in was unexceptable. Will not be returning
It nice rooms are good
The only complaint is the bathroom is small...
Positive: Nice room. Negative: Couple next room were loud. Not the hotels fault. It didn’t last too long.
Beautiful hotel, centrally located with spacious rooms and clean, refreshing facilities. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Internet was inclusive and easy to connect. The 24hr Fitness room offered a diversity of machines amidst an inviting and spacious area with a city view. The roof-top pool was ample and set in a tranquil environment which even offered privacy huts with TV. The breakfast, though delicious, was not inclusive and seemed extravagantly priced at $22 for the buffet (though a-la cart was available). Several restaurants are within walking distance including a shopping mall and the first-rate casino next door that offers a food court and a Star Bucks. Room coffee was the tea-bag variety, but the bar and restaurant had superbly delicious, full bodied coffee. NOTE: I discovered this hotel is dog-friendly.I had two minor issues with the hotel – my shower drained slowly. Additionally, I was perplexed I could not enjoy a cigar at the rooftop pool area (even though no one else was there). At that height, wind would dissipate smoke instantaneously. It was a shame because it would have been a perfect place to enjoy a cigar.
We evacuated here to escape hurricane Delta. From the first phone call I made to them 2 days ago they were so genuinely nice and accommodating. They allowed us to check in very early and only charge a $50.00 pet fee. It is located across the street from Harrahs and a short walking distance from the aquarium and the Riverwalk. This is definitely the hotel I will use when visiting NOLA. Super clean, super cold a/c and great shower water pressure 😁😁😁
My first Tim win New Orlean, this hotel definitely have a good location, good views and it styled pretty cool . However, biggest disappointment is the cleaning service - due to COVID there are no service provided at all ( until you check out from hotel ) and unfortunately the room itself was not very clean when we checked in ( dirty spots on the windows, dusty furniture etc. ). 2nd disappointment is that WiFi cost 6$ per day - I haven’t seen that in a while, very surprised. On the good notes - again it’s location (minutes walking from French quarters area ), cool views ( our room was on 21st floor ), shampoo with shower gel is a good quality), the price (including taxes and fees I’ve paid around 97$ per night ) and friendly front desk. Overall 4 stars is the top I can rate it .
Great location. Contemporary decor. Very friendly staff - Hayward - our bellman shared a wealth of information - he is awesome. Nice amenities - mini fridge in room as well as mini bar, no microwave, small rooftop pool, fitness center, bar. Rooms are a little small but I would definitely stay there again.
Me and my family stayed here for 2 days the room was to small and no breakfast and the main entrance smell really bad.
Stayed their for a work group reunion and it was an excellent experience. The staff, room (except small bathroom and minimal view in my room) was excellent. The food (from the banquet) was excellent and gym was very good. It is right across street from Mothers, a NOLA institution, and a short 12-15 minute walk to Bourbon Street and same distance to the National WWII Museum (which is also a must see). Highly recommend for the future travelers.
Great room with a nice view
