We made reservation a month in advance. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time. We were told the car we reserved had a hold on it and no other cars available. π After almost a hour later and which caused us to be late to a wedding, we finally got our car. They said the car was cleaned. It was not. They said had full tank of gas it did not. We returned car on time in designated self park area on Sunday when office was closed. Followed the instructions to the letter. Wrote the date, time and mileage down on back of rental agreement and dropped keys and envelope in lock box. We were still charged a extra two hours at $15/hr and $12 late return fee!!!BE AWARE! Look at at your emailed return receipt!
Still waiting to get a car. We booked over a month in advance so they knew we were coming for pickup. Very long line! Clerk said they lost all of their inventory because of scheduled oil changes. Not clerks fault, he is doing his best to react to the problem. We are now in first come first served.. But this place needs trained managers that understand logistics and inventory control. The owner needs to get with it! How can someone not know how many vehicles you need on hand?
Absolutely terrible experience. Was in a car accident and during the process my wallet was lost. Initially traveled to the location with a family members credit card. Devon advised me I wasnβt able to pick up the car since ID & card didnβt match totally understandable. Returned the next day once I had finally got my wallet back and had the correct card. Now, Iβm being told there are no vehicles it could be hours it may be days. However, I watched as the employees allowed other customers to swap out cars and extend rentals. To top it off I told them this is crazy, Devon OUT LOUD yells, βNo whatβs crazy is your ID and card didnβt matchβ. Excuse me, what kind of company allows their employees to speak to customers in that manner. When I initially walked in on my first visit Devon and another employee I believe named Jonathan were literally arguing in front of a customer about vehicle size. Filing a formal complaint because my experience was that terrible. Besides I have no idea how Devon even keeps his position heβs completely unprofessional.
I just had the BEST experience at Hertz let by Brandon and the rest of his team, Ebony, Devion, Mr. John & Jonathan. Everyone was so friendly & welcoming. We got out car very quickly and everyone even helped carry our bags to the car. They all went above & beyond to give us excellent service. I will get all of my rentals from here for now on.

Make sure you do a reservation! Makes the whole process so much easier, I was in an out in less than 10 minute. They guy who help me out was friendly and very helpful with any questions I had, especially when I had called a few days later to extend my rental he was able to help me out in a matter of minutes. I did have trouble returning the key after hours, the drop off box for the keys was jammed which made me frustrated cause I didnt want to get charge a late fee so I had no choice to leave with the rental an return it early in the morning when they open to make sure they understood I was here the night before so I didnt charge a late fee, even though I did, but they said it would be refunded to me withing a few days. I would give this experience a 7/10
We are from out of town and Brandon was so helpful! He patiently walked me through the process to drop off the car. He was pleasant, cheerful, and even offered suggestions for places toeat nearby. Ive rented a lot of cars, and this has been my best experience by far. Thanks, Brandon!
I waited for an hour while the service rep sat there and chatted up the customer on her life story, mean while there was another rep that sat there and when the clock hit 3pm he got up and said ok, I am off now. The car I was given smelled of bad air freshener and cigarettes. They gave me a Nissan Rogue which later locked while keys were inside. I had a Nissan Altima that would never lock keys inside, they arenβt supposed to do that. Literally went into my house to grab something and keys locked. On the phone with emergency roadside assistance now going on 20 min! What if I was on the road? What if I had actually had an emergency! This is the worst rental experience I have ever had! By far! Still no response from them and I am stuck in my house with my purse and everything in this car that doesnβt have a spare! God I miss my Subaru.

The folks in New Orleans did a great job of setting up my car however there was a problem with my credit card that could not be resolved easily. Apparently the man was in putting my information incorrectly which caused me a 40-minute delay in picking up my vehicle. I still would be back. However through no fault of my own I was delayed.
This rating isnt for the center, its the rental car transport. I fly to NOLA weekly and the entire transportation process is exasperating and infuriating. It goes without saying that the 20-40 minute ride is ridiculous, but there is also no urgency to get passengers to the terminal. The bus wont leave until it is completely full, and wont let passengers off until it is exactly in its parking spot even if there are 4 busses in the way. This process really need to be revised especially now that that travel has come roaring back. Its a terrible first impression for visitors.

Arrived off the plane got the 2nd bus to get the car and the line wasn1.5 hours.Whilst the above is significant it pales in comparison to how bad the staff are. Zero eye contact during our transaction, guy seems like could hardly be bothered to talk, didnt answer questions and we were very uniformed about what the price was, what car we were getting etc.After we paid we were told we had another 45 minute wait for the car to arrive, while we watched dozens of customers that were behind us in line collect their vehicles. After seeing this continue I approached the desk and kindly asked if they had forgotten us and that we had been waiting over 2 hours. The lady behind the counter laughed in my face and said u have only been waiting 45 minutes, to which I replied yes After the 1.5 hours of lining up. She then told me my car was coming from a different destination and would be additional time. All again with no eye contactSimply put the worst customer service Ive had in years.

Pick up time at this location was 5 and they close at 4:00 p.m.??? I called to cancel my reservation and when I could not cancel the reservation on the site I called the location I was renting, no one would ever pick up the phone. The customer service representative I was finally able to get ahold of via the 1-800 phone number said she would cancel the reservation. I said I want to ensure that I will receive a FULL refund and not be penalized. She said it would be be a full refund and would take 7-10 days to reflect in my account. I should have realized something was wrong when she was rushing me off the phone. Now over 2 weeks later Im calling the 800 number having to explain myself to multiple people for them to tell me that they would still charge me a $100. The full amount is still reflected in my account today. All for the customer service person to explain to me that there wasnt even a record of my cancelation. I have a screen shot of trying to cancel the reservation and the site showing they were working quickly to recover from an issue, but obviously could not prove what the customer service agent told me. Then he proceeded to tell me if I would have read the agreement. I spoke to customer service agent on the phone directly and she assured me the refund at its entirety. Then when I asked for proof over the phone that I could verify the partial reimbursement so in the event put into the same situation would have verification. He couldnt send an email or text confirming. I travel regularly for work and expect more from your company. Your leadership team should be embarrassed. Value your consumers and treat customer service less of a script someone has to repeat because they cant think for themselves.

Ive never rated a car rental service before, but we had such a pleasant experience that I had to! I rented a car on Wed. March 11 and had great service. The gentleman who assisted us (wish I knew his name!) was so friendly, helpful and nice, and it was one of the shortest waits I have ever experienced renting a car. The car itself was great, and for an excellent price. We were able to have a nice day trip to do a swamp tour and visit the beach in Biloxi. Thanks!
I cant imagine a worse rental car experience. When I arrived, the clerk said she was upgrading me from a full size to a mini van. I have been upgraded in the past when the size I reserved was unavailable so I assumed that was what happened but no, she upgraded me at hundreds of dollars more. Thankfully, I noticed and told her I did not want the upgrade. When I returned the car, I left my camera under the passenger seat. I realized the next day and called. I called repeatedly every 15 minutes but no one ever answered the phone. I paid an acquaintance/taxi driver to stop by the desk to ask about the camera. The person at the desk refused to talk with him. My friend called me and I asked him to put the women on the phone but she refused to talk to me as well. I called customer service but they said they could do nothing. I needed to call the New Orleans desk, but of course they wouldnt answer. I filled out the on line form but, of course, that gave me no answer. I finally got the number of the manager. But, of course, I could not convince him to actually go look in the car. I called every day and got a different manager every day that had to research the situation anew. By the time someone looked in the car, if they ever actually did, the camera was not there. It was a good camera, but even more importantly, it had pictures of my mothers 90th birthday trip and party that I had taken her on. Those are irreplaceable. I travel to New Orleans for work and family fairly frequently. I cant imagine renting from Hertz after this terrible customer service. And, Of course, now that I am trying to submit this, I get a message that the request is not valid. Great customer service!
The car we rented had a crack in the windshield and smelled of cigarettes. We were afraid they might try to bill us, but there werent any issues

Called for a few days but phone message said they are busy or closed. Got a hold of them half hour after opening hours (at the time of my booking) and was told they arent offering pick up service due to Covid or taxi reimbursement just because. First time the head office had heard this. Impossible to get a cab at that time of morning. Rude customer service. Save the hassle, spend the extra couple dollars and book at Enterprise on Canal.

Didnβt have the car ready, the guy was patient. The girl had the worst attitude and regard for the customer. We arrived a little late to pick up the car, found people were already waiting for an hour before even we arrived. Naturally, we had to wait for more than an hour as well.

This location is best if youre in the city. It can get crowded when there are big conventions and cruises in town, but the staff really try to do a good job and are usually very helpful. Classic golden rule: be nice get treated nice. Cars a little cheaper than airport bc less fees added on.
I rented from hertz through the lyft program! I had to return the car for a mechanical reason! So the guy who work at the front desk of hertz offered to rent me his car π so I did. The car broke down on me and I refuse to pay him only because I got the car repaired out my pocket. This guy call lyft and told them I got into an accident and didnβt report the issue to them! Lyft suspend my account letβs go a little more into it. I retrieved my account with Lyft! I return the guy car but when I returned to the office in Harvey to try to rent again! They refuse to rent me a car π and told me I couldnβt rent a car because I damaged a previous vehicle! I never received a email nor phone call from hertz regarding damaging a vehicle! We know the guy from the font desk told them in the office to do not rent me a car. So I went to Uber/Hurts program they rented me a car no problem! So if I was on the do not rent list the whole hertz company wouldnβt have rent me a car not just the Harvey location! On the other hand, hertz partners (NTB East Location) stole money out of my vehicles and I call to speak with a boss and get my money back and it turned out bad. This very unprofessional for call three companies! Hertz, Lyft, and NTB.
Everyone was so nice and helpful. Making my reservations were quick and easy. I was able to get a vehicle to accommodate all my needs as well as my standards. I was in and out with both pick up and drop off no wait at all with experienced professionals. I would definitely recommend this location to rent a car. Superb customer service.

The staff here was tremendous with kudos to Mimi who made our experience easy and quick. She helped us out with all of our needs and recognized our Hertz Gold status immediately. She switched out a car seat for one that more closely covered our needs for our trip with a smile. We highly recommend this location!
When given the option to upgrade, we declined. Only to realize later that the upgrade was included and the upgrade was actually more then the original prepaid bill. This more then doubled the price of the rental. I do not know if this is regular practice but this left us at a loss during our vacation.

They were amazing!! The office was incredibly busy when I got there and they were handling about 10 guests between 3 guys. Even though there were frustrated customers, they were all still so happy and nice and helpful. CHRIS helped me out a great deal by working it out so that I could extend my rental and saved me a ton of money. I honestly had a great experience and had a great holiday, with hertz and Chris to thank for it.
This place was the most poorly run rental car office I have ever seen. We booked a car 3 months in advance to drive from New Orleans to Baton Rouge for an LSU football game. The company sent multiple confirmations, including the day prior to pickup. We arrived on the day of pick and the office had a line of people out the front door. Some people were sitting and mentioned they had been waiting 2+ hours for reservations they made months ago. The office overbooked by 25+ cars and it was mayhem. Also, it was Saturday morning and they had one person manning a desk, and he had no idea what he was doing. After 30 minutes of waiting and finding out they had no timeline for any cars to arrive, I told them to cancel and left. We found a car at Enterprise in the outskirts of New Orleans and utilized them. Ill never book with Hertz again. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
We rented a car for 11 days for our road trip. We picked the car up at the Chico Airport Hertz and dropped it off at the Hertz near the convention center in New Orleans. We had a bit of a wait picking up our car (which we had reserved in advance) because there was only one person working at our pick up location. The car was great (a Buick Encore) and had no problems. We got a discount with my partners USAA account, which was nice. Drop off in New Orleans was quick and easy. Will definitely rent a car from them again.
Staff was lazy, incompetent, rude, and untrustworthy. I have had the misfortune of dealing with them 3-4 times now. Lied to me about my terms and conditions concerning multiple rentals set up by my insurance. Made me wait on average an hour and a half while one of the stooges went to retrieve the wrong cars. They talked trash about me without realizing I was in the room, and when they realized I heard them, refused to make eye contact. They also lied to my insurance company. I dont know if they understand that I also communicate with my insurance company and have easily witnessed how poor of a job Hertz is actually doing. Hertz had to tow the first rental car I got, and they lost it for 4 days. I will repeat, Hertz towed its own car and lost it for almost a week while charging my insurance for it. Then they started charging my personal account for it instead of my insurance when I still have double coverage for rentals on my insurance. I dealt with Marlon mostly. Hes about as useful as he looks. Of the many hours I spent there waiting for them to figure out how to do their jobs, I did not see one customer receive decent service. Most were as displeased as me. I was kind of surprised at how all the customers were so angry the first time I went there, but the longer I had to interact with this branch, the more I understood. I cannot more strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. They will not help you. They will not try to help you. They will do as little as they possibly can while leaving you on the hook.

Had to wait about an hour for car despite reservation. Then the car had barely a quarter tank gas and the inside smelled of urine. Clearly not cleaned. Not wheelchair accessible.To top it of, clerk gave wrong directions to cruiseship when we tried to pick up passenger, getting us in unnecessary travel adding about 10 minutes to driver.Not what were used to at Hertz. :/

Slowest hertz rental car location I have seen till date. Took 1.5 hours just to print a receipt and make sure the car which was supposed to be ready an hour before my arrival (called prior to arrival to make sure). Giving 3 stars as they provided free pick up service from our hotel.
All of the gentleman working when we picked up our car were fantastic. Very nice, gave lots of information. Best experience my husband and I have had in all these years, business and leisure, both.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Wait was absurdly long, we werent given the car we rented but instead a giant pick up truck that we had to CLEAN OUT OURSELVES to even use it, and we returned it early to not deal with them anymore yet just got a call 3 days later to return the car. These werent even all of the problems that we had. If I could give this a negative star I would. Hertz should be ashamed of themselves and this brand and manager should be put on notice. Escalating this up to corporate.

I have upgraded my rating from 1 star to 2 because my experience with the vehicle itself was good. Got just what I had ordered, had no problems with the car, and enjoyed it. I cant say the same for the staff. I scheduled my pick up for 8:30 am several weeks ago, before I really knew what my plans would be in this day, and that I arrived around 9:45. When I arrived, there were already several people furious and asking for the manager. I should have just left then. I finally pulled out in my car 2 hours later.Nobody seemed to understand what the problem was. The staff was apathetic, non apologetic, and unhelpful. Several other people asked to speak to the manager. When he came down, he spoke with the woman in a totally different room, so nobody else could hear what they were saying. It was all very sketchy. I will not come back here.
If I could give them a zero, I would. Incompetent, slow (allow at least 2 hours to pick up or return a car), included pick up never showed, and no one knows how to operate a telephone. No idea what customer service means, should be ashamed to operate.
I made a reservation for a pickup truck 2 weeks ago and when I ubered there for $15, not only did they not have a truck they had no vehicle to give me. There was a truck at the airport location which they would not go get for me and expected me to Uber there which would have been $45. I have a hotel that I already paid for in Florida and a friendβs engagement party that I am expected to be at. Now I have noWay to get there as all companies donβt have anything to rent me since itβs now short notice. The manager did NOTHING to help. He didnβt even call the airport location, I did. Total incompetence across the board at this location. When I call customer service they hung up on me. What a horrible company. If I could have given no stars I would have. BOYCOTT NOW!!
The gentleman who helped us return a car on 12/24/2017 was one of the most friendly and professional people I have ever met.I was treated well and I explained my situation well and the solutions he came up with will be the main and absolute reason I will stay as a Hertz customer globally.Before arriving there I called a Hertz number found on Google explaining that I need to change drop off locations and because of the holiday schedules. She was telling me of costs and times that were not explained to me when I rented the car and no contracts were shown to me on location to further showcase this in Glendale, CA.So again, these guys at Hertz Convention Center made me so happy I actually wrote a review.Thank you, merry christmas!

Horrible Hertz location. Ive been to Hertz before and theyve been awesome, but this location was the worst. They told me I must return the vehicle back to this location only (which is not true) and that extra drivers cost extra (which is not true either). And the vehicle I did end up renting smelled of weed and needed an oil change which I did have to do in the middle of my trip. Horrible location, I do NOT recommend it. Use the New Orleans airport one, they have MUCH better customer service and honesty. This place is a rip-off.

Absolutely horrible! We made a reservation over the phone and were assured our vehicle would be brought to the port for us after our cruise. Called when we got to the port as instructed and no one answered the phone, called corporate and even they couldnt get a hold of anyone. Corporate told us to take a taxi to local office and they would reimburse us for the ride.When we got there there were about 40 people inside with one person working and a manager that couldnt be bothered to get off his ass and help hiding in the back. I sent my wife inside with our two children and I waited outside in the 20 degree weather while she got our vehicle. Well, it took them 3 hours to get us our car. I stood outside in the cold with our luggage for 3 hours.What makes this all worse is they offered no apology, and showed no signs of caring at all. Several people said they were going to somewhere else and some actually did and no one cared.We got to our hotel and called corporate again explaining what happened and that our rental was 3 hours late so we would like to keep it three hours longer. They tried to charge us $180 more to keep it for the additional 3 hours. Every time we tried to escalate it to a supervisor my wife would get hung up on. She was hung up on 5 times before we gave up.They will never see another dime from our family or friends. Service like this is acceptable, and the lack of accountability is just unheard-of in any other industry.
I made a reservation to pick up a large van (NV 2500) at this specific location about 2 months in advance. At one week out I called to confirm the pick up and vehicle. I arrived to pick my reservation up only to be told, βno, we donβt have that Van.β I explained that needed to be fixed immediately and showed my reservation paper work description of the vehicle and the pick time of 8am. They then informed they DO have one. Only problem was it needed an oil change, which we apparently had to take care of for Hertz. The oil change folks informed us that they had been expecting this vehicle since yesterday. So Hertz was too lazy to do this in advance for my reservation. This whole mess made us 2 1/2. Hours late for our travels screwing up majority of the trip. On top of everything with the pick up, the gas tank wasnβt completely full, the van was filthy, the fob key didnβt work, there was no washer fluid in the vehicle, check engine light was on, and the tire pressure light was on. To say I feel totally taken advantage of and mistreated as a customer is an understatement!

DO NOT EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION. This is the worst customer service we have ever experienced from a car rental company. They did not have the size car we reserved for our family of 5. There was a ridiculous wait to get the car. You can only get to the cars by an elevator (stairs are locked) and there was an additional 20 minute wait just to get on the elevator. They also did not tell us that they would be closed for Memorial Day, which is the day we were scheduled to return the car.
I love this Hetz location! I never write reviews but this place goes above and beyond. They take care of their repeat customers. Their staff is always helpful and professional. I cant say enough good things about this Hertz location.

The staff was upset that i was late and we waited over an hour for them to get the car ready that was supposed to be ready over an hour ago. So sad I didnt read reviews before booking our car here. Honestly, I had lost faith in this location after twice having to drive to the airport to retrieve a reservation due to lack of cars on hand. It had never been that way before 2015. Being a Gold and Presidents Circle member, I didnt much like that, though appreciative they would let me use their pickup truck to do it (all that was left on site, evidently!).Last weekend restored my confidence in this location - in Hertz, in general. Though I did not understand the very casual dress of some of the employees behind the desk last Sunday, I received anything but casual service, and once again felt like a Gold member and frequent client. Returning the car I found the same spot-on service, the young woman checking me in going above and beyond in customer service.
Brought back the car on time (I have taken photo as proof, as I do always!..... you should also do!), but they charged me an extra day and late fee. In addition they gave out miss-information about fuel options to catch me with that!!! Renters be aware of this particular Hertz location!!!!! The only plus, the Hertz Hotline was very helpful so far.
We rented a car for 9:30am pickup on the Hertz website. Hertz did not have ANY cars on our arrival. We waited....and waited... and FINALLY we got a car after 11:30am. There were many other people waiting for their bookings as well. Id imagine this is a legally actionable pattern of unfair and deceptive trade practices by Hertz - baiting people to rent cars they dont have. I had many other options choosing a car rental company. Next time, I will choose a company that has cars to rent. A company like Nifty Car Rental. Nifty was literally picking up Hertz customers from the Hertz office to take those customers to the Nifty facility, which actually had rental cars.This was in my top 10 all time bad consumer experiences. But, while I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience, I felt bad for your employees. They were stuck apologizing and explaining to your NUMEROUS booked customers why their BOOKED cars were not there. Manage your company better.
We were a bit scared after reading the comments but we had really good service and were very satisfied with our experience. We even had free coffee and bottles of water on place. We didnt have any problems with the pick up of drop off of the car. They were closing early on the saturday but they showed us how we could drop off the car so we wouldnt have to find and pay for parking to only bring it back the day after.
Terrible Hertz rental location! Find another one. They had no cars ready for the 8 AM and 9 AM appointments and they gave our reserved car away to the guy in front of us while ignoring our protests as we heard what they were doing. The car we ended up with was smaller, not washed and not vacuumed out. They have no separate check-in for Gold Status Members and we waited in line for 30 minutes. When we asked for a bigger car, since they gave away ours, they said that the bigger cars were already reserved.
Ive been renting from this location for almost 8 years, theyve always been helpful, friendly and accommodating. A good way to get great service and avoid all of the airport fees!
Waiting over 1h for a car booked months ago was definitely not fun. For every customer it took them 20 minutes just to order the car, plus then the wait as the cars were not ready. Find another place to rent your car
Absolutely impossible to figure out where to return the car. Service was terrible and they acted like we should just know where to return it!!
I reserved a car days in advance and when I arrived the people at the front desk kept trying to give me a van. After they realized I would not take a van they offered to give me a mid size car which was much better for two people driving around in Downtown New Orleans.
Returning car here is OK although you have to take several sharp turn to drive the car into garage. But renting car experience is so so. We waited the staff to pick our car for long time (they just started cleaning up after we paid the money) but they already started counting your time. Also the fuel is nor full. I notified the staff and she told me she put the information in the system but she did not. Dont like this.
Horrible experience! I had placed a request for a car seat to go along with my car reservation. To make sure there would be no problems, I personally walk into their office a day before and they assured me they would have it available. However the day of my reservation they lady helping me out said they didnt have any available, after letting her know that I had checked the day before she told me they had it but it was locked away and could not get to it. Even the manager who was preset at the time did not have access. The only solutions they offered me was to buy a car seat myself or go to their nearest location at the airport (about 30-40 min. away depending on traffic) and see if they had one available there. When I told them I was not going to do that they simply told me that if I wanted the car I could come back and check in a few hours and maybe they would have it available but it was not guaranteed. I ended up (against my will) canceling the car reservation and my plans for the day.
Ive been here for an hour, waiting on a reservation for a Large vehicle. The best they could come up with is a Nissan Rogue (Not that big) and get this, the man in line before returned this vehicle! Im expected to wait for the Complete turn around? Does this place only have 3 cars???Terrrible experience, never come here.
Staff was very nice and professional. However, I arranged for them to pick me up and even called the day before to confirm. Of course, they didnt have anyone available to provide that service. I dont know why Hertz offers that service if they cant fulfill it. The contract was not ready when I came into pick up the car and Im a Gold Plus Rewards Five Star member.
Terrible service car not ready when I got there, gave me keys to a car that was not ready, then had to start over got another car was told it was a full tank of gas and it was not and that it had Sirius radio and it did not. Just because it is a holiday and cars are at a premium does not mean customer service goes out the window
You are better off avoiding this place. Regardless of how close it may be to your hotel or convention, this is not a reliable location. The employees are not on time, and apparently they have no communication with Hertzs website.I purchased a rental car through the Hertz site and attached to my credit union/insurance. Not only did they not honor the purchase, they didnt tell me and charged me an additional charge.The car provided didnt have the features request (XM radio) and cost significantly more than the rental amount. I tried to show them the error and rather than take the high road and work with me. They raised their voice and told me to talk to a manager.I wont use Hertz again and if you must use them, Id be cautious of this location.
Long line even though I booked a car online in advance. Waited in line for 20min after my scheduled pick up time and when I got to the front desk, the lady said she was going to help the person behind me first and couldnt tell me how long it would take to get the car I had reserved because there werent that many cars available (even though no car shortage was mentioned online). Very confused by what seemed like a bit of chaos. Was extremely put off by the lady not helping me after I stood in line, and saying shed help me after she helped the person behind me. The location may be convienent, but the service seemed incapable. She wasnt even able to cancel my reservation nor refund the extra insurance they charged to my card for the rental. The lady was nice enough about it I guess, but their system is broken and I will never go here again.
I selected Free Pickup when I reserved my car online. I never got an email, call or text from Hertz before the scheduled pick up time. I called at the time my scheduled pick up was to see when my pick up would show up. NOTE: I HAD TO CALL THEM. THEY NEVER CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERE NOT PICKING ME UP!! I was told that they didnt have enough people to come pick us up! The manager lady was rude and very condescending. Actually the B word would fit her perfectly. We had to take a cab to get to our rental location. When returning the car, I wanted to charge the car to a different card than I reserved the car with. The clerk didnt know how to do it. He had to call the manager (the same B word lady manager). Again, this lady was rude, snotty, very condescending. It was not a pleasant encounter. She got the charge to go through on the new card, but it was in the wrong amount, so she had to void the charge and re-do it. I asked to make sure the 1st charge was credited/voided. The Lady manager got so snotty and condescending I couldnt believe she was actually the person in charge. The entire process was frustrating and not at all customer friendly.
The reviews of this place are true. If youβre in a hurry, or just expect general great service, this is not the place for you. Iβm writing this as I sit in the Hertz rental car location where Iβve been sitting for an hour. The employees just act like they could care less. No urgency, they help other people rather than helping you. The manager is useless. The employees need him to do everything. He skips around all over the place and doesnβt focus. Weβve watched five people come in and out with their cars while we just sit.
We had to wait TWO hours to get our car (already pre-booked and paid for). The way they run this place is unacceptable. The staff is nice enough, but the long wait and constant mistakes is just an enormous red flag.The only way these 5 star reviews could be real is if they arrived when theres plenty of cars available, and no customers waiting. Because then you might get good (but still unexplicably slow) service.
Avoid if possible. We turned up having prepaid for a premium car and they said they had no cars at all, and wed have to wait for one to be returned. (And said it was our fault for being late, that theyd assumed we no longer wanted the booking and given our car to someone else, when the booking said pick up from 9am not at 9am). We came back an hour later and they said actually theyd lost the key. Meanwhile we overheard a family with small children had prepaid for a large car and a car seat and the staff offered them a tiny car and said they never provided car seats, and that their booking couldnt be moved to the airport Hertz because no one was answering the phone. Terrible service, no one cared.
