I have been using this locations for my visits to New Orleans for almost 10 years and everytime I get excellent service. They are always willing to help and are always super friendly. The vehicles I have rented have been clean and I have never had any problems with the cars. I would definitely recommend this location.

The rental location was great and easy to work with. The agent and staff taking care of my rental were perfect!The car that was rented to me was previously used by a smoker and smelled. We had a 5-6 hour drive in this vehicle and this is one smell that lingers. Im a former smoker so its not pleasant. We had a citrus disinfectant that I brought to use in the hotel but found myself spraying the luggage and interior to help mask the cigarette smell. Only worked a little.The return was very smooth and all other details were great. Sorry for the 4 but the cigarette smell it would easily be a 5.

The representative was nice and courteous took me right away to the car that I was renting the representative knew his job explain to me about the coverage on the car gave me the keys it was fast and convenient. I had the same representative on my return and it was the same good experience thank you Enterprise.

I used to like coming to this place. I was planning to pay with my credit card, but my available balance was too low. I wanted to rent an SUV to move items to Lafayette for a student Im working with. So, I needed a decent size car. Sooooo, after the credit card didnt work I was told that I couldnt rent the SUV unless I personally carried full coverage insurance. Well, I have a 1999 Ford F-150. Yeah Im not going to fully cover that. But according to what is printed if youre using a debit card(see photos) the biggest car you can rent is a full size car. Well, I was going to make that work. But then the dude was like I can only rent an economy or compact car. I say, but in Black and White it says Full size or smaller then there is a period ( see photos). For some reason this guy was frustrated even though he was not the one being denied printed service he also was not delayed from where he was going. But he was the one that was frustrated. So, I told him I just need to cancel. Told him I need to get my bag out of the car. And they didnt apologize or offer me a ride home. But I was so frustrated the walk home was good for me. Lets keep in mind I didnt cut up which is my right. So, I contacted my supervisor and she rented the car. ******* This is how we get to one star ***** When I arrived I told the folks Im waiting on my supervisor. ( Shes over the program for the child I was helping move) The white tall heavy set balding guy was at the counter. I told him my supervisor is coming to rent the car. He said we wont have any cars until later. I said she already ordered online. He said whats her name I said I only know her first name. With all the unnecessary attitude in the world hes like this is only a retail rental. I said okay. Then he says well we dont allow people to rent cars for people. I said okay. Then he says she has to be the only driver -- I said so she cant add a driver. He said, No she has to be the only driver. I said when did that change that there can only be one driver. He said I never said there can only be one driver. So, when my supervisor arrives who happens to be slim white woman he didnt have any thing to say and no attitude. Then I had to get my license out of the car. I joined my supervisor at the counter. I pointed to the rule of full size or smaller. She said she rented a car for her mother in Metarie and doesnt even remember seeing the sign. So, any way this man proceeds to tell me that they have to protect their assets. I told him this is what you have in writing. I stopped talking. He said youre not listening and I am just going to end the conversation here. My supervisor commented that it appears the rules change depending on the renter and the community.

The rental experience was simple, they even gave us a nice upgrade from the economy car we reserved. No issues picking it up from a neighborhood location and dropping it off at the airport. Just make sure its in your original reservation or they will charge you a drop fee. Ive been using Enterprise whenever I need to rent a car on vacation or if Im driving long distances to get to a vacation and Ive never had any issues. I will continue using Enterprise whenever I need a rental. The prices are reasonable compared to other companies and customer service is great.

The male employee was not very helpful or nice. Very short with us and generally acting as though he didnt have the time nor did he care about the questions we asked about some of their policies. There was an outrageous deposit/hold of $300 and if we wanted to return it to the airport, all of 15 miles from the location, it was another $75!! The vehicle itself had quite a bit of scratches, chips and dents all over it.Upon return we spoke with a female employee who explained their current policies a little more but that still didnt make it a good experience. We rented the car for 1 day as the transit system in New Orleans is a joke on its best day. Requesting an Uber is an equal nightmare.

A very stressfull car rental experience.I rent a lot of car with Enterprise as it is the trusted compagny at work. Recently, I had a terrible car rental experience with them.We took possession of a vehicule of january 2th at this particular location. When we arrived the car we had book was not available (a sedan) so we were offered a small SUV has only replacement option. We were not very much happy because it ment that we would have to pay more for gas but eh, we were there and needed to leave to our journey to Miami so we took it.Before we could leave, the enterprise representant noticed that one of the tire was kind of low on air so he proposed to take the car inside and fill it with air to make sure that everything was fine. He said the tired were good to go and let us leave with the car.I noticed the next day that we had lot 10 PSI overtnight in one of the tireThe following morning, an other 10 PSI. At this point we were in fort myers and I realised that something was really wrong with the car.I then called the location were we first took the rental and found no help at all with the situation. We were told to go to a firestone to have the tire checked (great holiday!).We went and the guy told us it could be a couple hours before they could check the car. We had ticket for a show in Key west the same evening so we couldnt take the chance to miss it. We chose to put air in the tire and toff it out.The whole journey was very stressfull because my GF is pregnant and if the tire has blown it could have been very dangerous!I will never use enterprise for a personnal rental again. They offer no support when we encounter a problem and led us leave with a car that had a tire issue!

I would just like to know why you guys charged my credit after the I car I rented broke down two hours after I left your office in New Orleans. The car was picked up by a wrecker you supplied. But you still tried to charge my credit card for for the rental? Of course I disputed the charge with the card company. I have been renting cars with enterprise for many years. Overall experience was okay, I personally only rent from enterprise however, this location needs work. First I waited over an hour for a car that I reserved a month in advance. After waiting I realized there were no cars to rent out and as returns arrived they quickly washed them and rented those to the customers waiting. Also, I was forced after 60 plus minutes to rent the compact car when I clearly booked an SUV! Lastly, they rented me the car with the gas on E and basically told me just return it on E.I will definitely never book with this location again.

The rental associate named Jordan that assisted my mom at the Canal St. location had a really bad disposition Sunday. Not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or wasnt in the mood to provide a good customer service experience. Either way, I had to leave the Canal St. location and go to the Slidell location in order to obtain a better customer experience and a larger vehicle for the same amount that my insurance provider was willing to cover. Customer satisfaction should be number one at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Initially everything was fine, I had to keep extending my rental due to the fact my vehicle was still waiting on parts so it could be repaired. The truck I had needed to be returned because it was leaking when it rained, I was put into a way smaller vehicle and asked to return the next day for a larger one. Next day, back into a truck. Then after a couple weeks, tire kept going flat so again was asked to return later for a full size SUV or truck. Every single time they needed to swap out a vehicle I thoroughly explained I had specifically rented a large vehicle due to the equipment required by my youngest son who has special needs. They put me in a Ford Edge, which wouldnt hold all of what he needs plus my other children. They tried to pass of a Dodge Journey as a full size vehicle, and after asking me to come back to pick up a full size Suv or truck, they put me in a minivan, which would hold his equipment with seats laid down, but didnt leave seats for my other children. I called the main number, spoke to someone in their disability department, was assured that I would be contacted the next day and they would fix the situation. Needless to say, that never happened, we returned the vehicle and rented from another company who accommodated our needs. So disappointed in how we were treated since we have been renting from Enterprise for many, many years. The manager Steve at the Canal St. location is awful, extremely condescending on the phone, and wouldnt even step outside to help when I was there in person.

Everything was great except the return. We rented the car at 1:39 PM on Saturday Aug 8th. Tried to return at 2:30 PM Aug 30th, within the hour over for returns, knew the office was closed, but thought we could just drop off. Not able to at this location, so had to keep until next morning. Was hoping not to get charged for the extra day....

Well the car was kinda clean. But the idea that y’all would rent a car with no spare tire. But instead offer me roadside assistance for 5.00 dollars a day. JUST BAD BUSINESS!! I happened to be visiting an area in Texas that is absent of cell towers. So luckily I didn’t get a flat. I’m really disappointed with this new policy. Y’all are jeopardizing your clients safety just to charge me an extra few dollars a day. Y’all might wanna rethink that!!!

The car was fine. The service personnel was great. They even were able to accommodate me at the very last minute on a busy weekend.HOWEVER, due to corona virus, they are not allowing renters inside. You must wait outside for service. 30 minutes outside in New Orleans heat and humidity is offensive. NO TENT. NO CANOPY. Just plain old direct sunlight and 100 degree heat. It was disgusting. Enterprise, please do better.

I rented with enterprise in Sioux Falls South Dakota with my debit card no problem to get to my girlfriend during quarantine. Her grandmother had passed recently and I needed to get her back home. I figured I could use my debit card to do the same thing. Nope! Even though I returned the vehicle to this location on my way down I cant go back up, leaving me stuck with no options to get my girlfriend back to be with her family. Thanks.

I had a very bad experience with the Enterprise car rental at 1939 Canal Street. They treated me very poorly and showed zero respect for me as a customer. It was very upsetting. I would never go back to them for a car rental or for anything else.Im still processing and releasing the upset they put me through, two days after the event.I had added insurance to my car rental at $17.50 a day at the time of the car pick-up because I didnt know if I was covered or not. The car pick-up was at the Enterprise in Metairie - not the 1939 Canal St Enterprise because the Canal St. location didnt have any vehicles available at the time.The gentleman at the Metairie Enterprise told me that if I found out I was covered, I could just call the Enterprise on Canal St. and they would take off the $17.50 .I was so relieved! But it turned out to be wishful thinking!The 1939 Canal St Enterprise did not take off the charge!Hartford had authorized the car rental. The next day I found out I was already covered for the insurance on the car rental through Hartford so I called the 1939 Canal St. Enterprise location and spoke to a woman named Sierra and explained what had happened and she told me that when I brought back the car when I was finished with renting it and it was in good shape, they would remove the $17.50 charges.I was really happy about that.But when I turned in the car at the Enterprise on Canal St. they steadfastly refused to take off the $17.50 charges!They said it was because I should have come in person with the car on the same day I called them to ask that the daily $17.50 insurance fee be removed since I was already covered.I explained to the three Enterprise personnel before me that that was definitely not what I had been told by their office over the phone four days before.They argued with me incessantly as I kept trying to make them understand and they denied I had been told that they would take off those charges when I returned the vehicle and refused to believe that I was never told to bring in the car the day I called about the issue.My big mistake was putting so much effort into trying to make them understand. I felt surely they would take off the charge once they understood.All three associates there were combative and refused to listen to me or take off the $17.50 insurance charge. Their adamant indifference and refusal to accept that I had indeed not been told on the phone to bring in the car that day in order to have the $17.50 daily insurance fee removed made me increasingly upset.They would not even accept the possibilty that at the very least, the customer service person was not at all clear in her communication to me to bring the car in then and there - in the middle of my car rental - if I wanted the daily $17.50 taken off the eventual bill.Why would I not have taken the car in that day to take the $17.40 daily charge off if I had been told that the only way I could have the charges removed was to come in person that same day?They had the robotic, unhearing, uncomprehending, passive aggressive behavior and lack of customer service skills or caring to de-escalate the situation in any way or make any level of concession to make me as a customer feel less angry, and unhappy, and to feel less taken advantage of.It is the customer service school whereby the company associates keep turning the knife in and the customer gets upset and the company associates remain detached and make the customer the one with the problem! The problem that they themselves caused!

Customer service was excellent. I forgot the name of the gentleman I dealt with but he is very welcoming throughout the car transaction process. I took off one star, because my rental was not properly cleaned. The back windowed was smeared with dirt which made it difficult for me to check my blind spot. Also the car inside had some crumbs and did not generally feel it came from a cleaning. This is an area of concern since I was in NOLA when COVID 19 cases first emerged in the USA. The location definitely has potential to improve on this and despite that I would recommend anyone in New Orleans to rent from this location for any of their car rental needs.

LAX airport - Los Angeles, CA. I flew in to town on a Sunday, picked up a car for the week. I was given a Mini Cooper which didn’t really work out for what I was looking for, it was cold and didn’t keep wind out very well - the heat was not functioning enough to beat the air flowing inside the car. I asked to return the vehicle, and customer service on the phone was very cool. When I brought it back the following day, no one was helpful nor wanted to be bothered. I was given a Nissan Altima which is fine but it reeked of cigarette smoke and super heavy air freshener that was sickening. I brought the main outside customer rep over to look at it and he said he didn’t smell anything, he talked to me like I was making it up. he seemed annoyed that I mentioned this and asked me challengingly if I wanted to return it too. I was tired of the attitude so I kept the car and left. I used this car to drive my colleagues around at a conference all week and they very much noticed the cigarette smell and the disgusting air freshener. Enterprise has been sending me horrible smelling and dirty cars for the last 4-5 rentals and I’m pretty much moving on from them as a very frequent traveler and vehicle renter. I would suggest the same for anyone I talk to.

I have increasingly used Enterprise as my car rental company. I am in the top tier of the Hertz reward program, and it served me well for years, but the company is no longer what it once was for customer service and reliability, and Enterprise has come to my rescue more than once. I am always satisfied with the car I drive away in. And the service at the Canal Street Enterprise, across from University Hospital, is exceptional. There prices are competitive and the cars are well-kept, and I am always in and out quickly.

Rented a mid sized car for 3 day road trip with my daughter. 4 hrs into our more then 20 hr drive the cars steering column started making rubbing noises. We called customer service but we were 2 hrs away from an enterprise to be able to exchange the vehicle. My daughter and I were so upset and scared that the car would leave us stranded that we drive straight through to our destination cutting our trip short. The next morning I returned the car a day early. I called customer service Saturday, Sunday and Monday about my experience in hopes to get a refund for the early return and compensation for having to cut our trip short along with all the stress. It is Wednesday and I have yet to hear from an area manager about my concerns. I can only hope no o e else was rented the car we use by now and that other PLUS MEMBERS are not treated so poorly.Dissatisfied Plus Member

Got prompt friendly service in and out. Good location to pick up car for out of town excursion because near to freeway access. Canal street always easy to find and on trolley line. Car was clean, had 1/2 tank of gas and it was ok to return it 1/2 full.If I remember correctly when we were at the airport the rental rate was cheaper from a place in town then it was to pick up the car at the airport. Once we were in town its switched and it was cheaper to rent a car from the airport than it was from an in town location. Enterprise may know where youre contacting them from.

Unexpectedly found it necessary to rent a car on two occasions and chose Enterprise on Canal Street. Im glad I did. The office was conveniently located and I was in and out in no time. The charges were clearly explained and when I found it necessary to extend my rental, it was no problem and only took a phone call. Hopefully, my car wont be breaking down again in the future but it if does, Ill be using Enterprise.

Haven’t used Enterprise in years and they have changed a lot my dad needed a car for some business he came to New Orleans to take care of and they tried to rent him a dirty car, when I reserved the car no one specified that he needed to have insurance card with him to show proof of his personal insurance, I get It!!!! you need proof of insurance before you get on the road but I felt that they were trying to get him to buy their insurance to make extra money for the company, he was on deadline and almost didn’t make it.I made the reservation, I received a call the day before regarding the $250.00 deposit but not about proof of insurance. I just think that whatever it is that you require for a rental should be displayed at the time when you are making your reservation.

I reserved a Full size vehicle for a week, when I went into the Location to pick up my rental, I gave all my information required for someone without insurance and anything else. When I declined insurance I was told I had to downsize, but I’m aware that insurance isn’t required, I’ve also never had to downsize before after declining insurance and I felt this particular employee has something against me, this isn’t the first time this same employee had tried to do this but he actually did it and put me in an Intermediate car. Which is not what I requested and honestly too small for what I needed the rental for. I have bad experiences anytime I get helped by a white employee at the establishment, I’m starting to believe they’re a little racist. The Nola location on Canal street needs a little more customer service training.

They gave me a car that wasnt serviced and had me stuck on I-10 at night with my new born baby and my 2 yr old my poor 2 yr old cried himself to sleep while being stuck out there for hours. Then when i called there roadside assistance they told me they couldnt do anything about us being stuck on the interstate because there system was down so I had to get my insurance company to roadside assistance there vechile and tow it then they sent me another car the next morning that said service pass due oil change due as soon as I started it thats what it said so they didnt. Replace it til the next day and they didnt even try to make up for the inconvenience they caused me my son has bites all over from the mosquitos biting him while we was stuck on the interstate.

Great service, friendly and honest. They had the car ready and waiting for us and alerted me to the extra charge if dropping the car off to the airport. They also made sure the gas status (empty) was accounted for in the contract so that we wouldnt be charged extra upon return. When in NOLA I would happily use again.

I was picked up on time from my hotel and was quickly attended to by the staff once I got there. While my intermediate sized car was booked well in advance, however, it was not available and was subsequently downgraded to a compact without lowering my price until I asked, which they did. My rep called me the next day to make sure things were OK. On the day I returned the car, they gave me a ride to my next destination. All in all, service was good. Just wasnt happy with the downgrade.

While I had to wait a while for service, and had to provide references and job verification for a debit payment (which isnt hard to fake if you are intending to steel the car or use it for illegal purposes), these werent the reasons why I was not pleased with this location. I have utilized a large number of Enterprise locations over the years and, even when issues arise with my rental, they have always done everything they could do to ensure that I was happy with the transaction.This location didnt have the intermediate vehicle that I had reserved a month earlier. Most locations offer a larger car for the same price. Because I travel longer distances with my family it is important to have as much space as possible. This location offered a compact car instead for the slightly lower price. I wasnt happy about squeezing into a smaller car for the long trip but had to do so due to the cost of going to a standard size. I hadnt paid attention to the dollar amount on the paperwork, which was my fault, when I signed for the rental and was sent on my way. I noticed later that the cost on the paperwork was for the intermediate that I had originally reserved.When I returned the vehicle I was informed of the final due which was for the larger vehicle I had originally reserved. I mentioned it to the clerk who looked as if he didnt understand what I was saying. I explained what had happened when I had picked up the rental and an adjustment was made. The clerk who had originally helped me when I picked the car up was standing at the counter when I returned it but didnt help with the closing of the transaction.The customer shouldnt have to inconvenience themselves with a smaller car, nor should they have to check to make sure that the charges are accurate. This location left me wondering if they pay attention to any of the details associated with ensuring that a customer is happy with the transaction. I was very unhappy with the service, which is not typical of my past experiences with Enterprise, and will not be visiting this location again.

A great staff willing to make ur rental experience painless with no problems. Acknowledging u the minute u walk in, you may even get an upgrade at no additional cost. I went during the Christmas holiday and many had reservations but at the particular time the cars were few in numbers but the staff worked everything out that everyone was able to get a vehicle to satisfy their needs. Great job!!!

The Tuscan that we rented was a piece of junk. Should not be in the Enterprise fleet. It was charged as a mid-SUV. Should be a small SUV. Vehicle rides really rough and smelled really bad. Always had good vehicles and service before this.

I was ready to leave after returning the car but didnt want to wait for the driver to come back to get ride to my hotel. (20-25 min). I didnt have change for a $20 to catch the streetcar and one of the guys gave me a dollar to catch the streetcar. (unfortunately I didnt get his name but he was really awesome to make that offer). I took the streetcar back to the hotel rather than having to wait. Very good service.

While visiting New Orleans this past week, we decided to rent a vehicle to see some of sights, like Laura plantation, and the Tabasco factory. The shuttle was prompt with their pick up and when we got to the Enterprise office, Meghan greeted us and was very pleasant throughout the whole process. Upon returning the car, we also dealt with Meghan and again the ride back to the French quarter was just what we needed after a week of walking the city.Whenever possible we rent from Enterprise because of the great service that they offer!

Always friendly, always great cars.I had originally reserved our car at the Veterans Blvd location, but because they didnt have a non-smoking car to give us, we were sent to the Canal Street location of Enterprise. We got a beautiful KIA Sorrento with only 2,300 miles on it!Overall, an incredible experience!

The folks at this location ALWAYS go above and beyond to make me smile and thoroughly enjoy renting a car. Always taking extra care to make sure the vehicle selected for me is satisfactory and nothing like a minivan....I simply adore Brian and Brent and Brandon (Byyyyyyrrrruuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn), and all the staff whose names Ive yet to memorize. Theyre most accommodating to my boxer, D.J. (who weighs over 100 pounds) but travels with me wherever I go. You cant get better service than that!!!!

Very good customer service at this location. I was helped very quickly and was set up with a suitable vehicle for my needs. Staff was friendly and accommodating. When I called I was connected to a call center and the representative had a terrible attitude, but I would not look at that as a representation of this specific location.

I had booked a car and a pick-up from between 0945 and 1000. The driver never showed up until 10:25. When I got to the location, the staff there was great and went above and beyond (in my opinion) to make it better. At the end of the day, staff was great and I ended up having a very good experience.

Friendly staff and prompt service. I walked in on a Friday morning and was helped right away. The Ford Festiva I rented could have used a good wash but it drove fine. I like that the staff didnt push for extra insurance coverage like other rental companies do. The complimentary pick up/drop off service was great.

I book all reservations online. This was the 1st time I reserved a car at the 1939 Canal Street location. The overall service was really good. The guys [Gerald, Will, Frank and Juan] give professional yet personalized service. [They have stories to tell.] I will definitely rent from that location [again]. The one thing that caused a 4-star rating vs. a 5-star is the fact that they gave me a car [initially] with a non-working radio. So, I had to go on sales calls with no music. Thought I was going to be able to switch out cars that afternoon - I had to wait till the next afternoon [more than 24-hours later]. Did not offer a discount or a free-day of rental. [Something to think about in a customer service industry.] The other thing that has me questioning Enterprise Rent-A-Car [as a company] is the fact that you cannot apply your points upon check-out. If you do not indicate at the start of your online reservation that you want to use your points, then youre going to have to pay. Thats a thumb down.

It was my first time using Enterprise, and I must tell you it was amazing! Enterprise not only has the best prices (cheaper than other options), but has an amazing service (they will pick you up and also give you a lift the day you return the car), the staff is also the best. You would expect that because they are cheaper than other rent-a-car services, their car fleet wouldnt be the best, but you couldnt be more wrong, they have the newest cars in the market. So if you wanna save a couple of bucks, and still rent a great car, Enterprise is your option!

If I could give additional stars, I WOULD! My rental experience at this location was beyond my expectations. When I arrived I was greeted by the customer service representatives, and I was escorted to my rental (asked if I was satisfied with the vehicle and if I wanted something else), the charges were clearly explained as well as additional add-ons. The return process was so simple and seamless. I would recommend this location and plan to use them the next time I am in New Orleans.

Miscommunication between booking agent and branch location atrocious!!!After the 5 min.transacion that took 2hrs. to straighten out we drove away with the car. Someone should have kept the bookings in house instead outsourcing such a critical step in customer service.

Making the reservation was easy, but I asked the rep. on the phone for a pick-up ride to the rental office and a small economy car, for ease of parking, gave our address and time for pick-up. On the day of the rental, one came at the time requested. Called the main number, they told me that the local NOLA rental office had tried to call me to see if I needed a ride, I had missed the call. I didnt understand why their query was necessary, as I had requested the ride already. They then arrived after the second request to pick us up, and when I filled out the paperwork at the Enterprise office, the desk man was very good. When he showed me the large Chrysler 300 in the lot, which was the car available, I was certainly surprised as I had requested a small car. Parking was a bit tight in the French Quarter, but we pulled it off. I liked the $1.89 gas price through Enterprise as well. Hope this review helps. Steve Wendt.

Wouldnt let us rent the car even though they have allowed us to use my debit card. But this time the Man was so rude.. if the person whos card is being used is present then why is it a problem.. Yes the money is there. So he is willing to lose business from a loyal customer and to top it off I have to be somewhere in the morning and he didnt care about that either.. But 😈 devil I will be back in the morning and my God said I will make my previous engagement... So sad but he allowed the man before us to get a car that wasnt even reserved in his name🤷

At pick up, the car and service were okay car but not great. The car needed a repeat vacuum and was simply worn looking. The return was excellent, very efficient and pleasant.
