This is my absolute favorite nail shop in NB! I’ve been to quite a few and Renaissance is by far the friendliest in the area. I absolutely love Diu! My nails and feet are always on point. Whatever you ask for, they can certainly do it!!

Brian was absolutely amazing! Fantastic attention to detail. He understood exactly what I wanted and took his time making my nails look perfect. I could not be happier with his work! 100% will be returning to him in the future.The building is clean and well maintained. Beautiful and elegant decor, relaxing unobtrusive music. Everyone was wearing masks, adhering to current guidelines. The prices were fair, and the staff good at their jobs.Overall, a fantastic nail spa that I couldnt recommend enough!

I have been coming here for 2 yrs and I have always had an amazing experience. Everyone is so friendly. The place is clean and with the pandemic they have been on top of it making sure we sanitize. Brian is my nail tech and I can always give him a design and he can always execute. He is sociable just like many techs that I have done my pedis with. I highly recommend this place.

I had been coming to Renaissance for my nails and pedicures for years. I eventually removed my nails but still returned for pedicures and had always enjoyed it. For my pedicures I never had any specific person but always felt good after going.Recently I had a pedicure, purchased the most expensive which was $63.00. I requested “French” and the tech insisted that she use shellac polish - my fault for not asking but the shellac was an additional $20.00 (the French was additional as well) I ultimately spent over $100.00. It wasn’t fabulous but was nice and the polish did last longer than normal.When I returned for my next pedicure I brought my own polish, showed it to the lady and picked the most expensive pedicure again. She mentioned that my old polish was shellac polish so she put cotton swabs and wrapped in foil to soften for removal. This was the WORST pedicure I’ve ever had. She did a TERRIBLE job of a “massage” (basically tapped my legs with the insides of her knuckles)...no massage whatsoever.When I was finished and went to the register to pay they charged me $5.00 extra for removing the old shellac!!Fast forward a couple of weeks, I just removed the polish to re-paint and found partial clear shellac on both of my big toes 🤬So they charged me $20 to put it on and $5 to remove - and she did not even remove it completely. RIDICULOUS!!I am furious and have decided I won’t be returning.

Worst pedicure I ever had. I was sitting next to my sister who had Helen, who was amazing. We had the exact same pedicure, except she had shellac. Hers was fabulous from getting a long relaxing soak to being greeted with a glass of wine (which I had to ask for). My soak was less than a minute before the tech started. Then she rushed through the whole experience. I was sitting for over half an hour waiting for my sister to finish, while I watched my tech walk out the door laughing with her friends. Ill never go back.

Had gel nails done, they chipped within 2 days. I went back in for a touch up which I made an appointment for and still had to wait. I was having trouble finding the right color but they kept rushing me because I was taking to long and tried to paint my corrected nails the wrong color on purpose because “it was close enough” to my first color. After I left I had more nails chip (I think they watered down the polish). I called again asking if anything could be done as gel is supposed to last atleast 2 weeks. They told me no and I would have to pay to come back in.

Got my nails done on 7/26 at 3:00pm today at around 12 they started chipping. I’m completely unsatisfied. I tried calling but it went straight to a deadline. I even tipped the person even when they filed my cuticles off and didn’t even clean my actual nail before they put on the acrylics. 55 dollars for a hand set and it was terrible.

Right when I sat in my pedicure chair the nail tech came to my chair not very friendly but that was not the issue. I showed the tech exactly what I wanted and what I was given was clear sparkle polish on my toes. When I explained that this was not what I wanted she proceeds to say “well that’s why I asked you what color you wanted” and stormed off muttering something to the other techs ...all at once everyone looks at me. Then another tech comes I again explain I want white toes with sparkles on top. No one could comprehend that I wanted white toes with sparkles...finally another tech comes over and does exactly what I wanted she was wonderful. I even apologized saying I usually don’t complain but you couldn’t even see the first polish I was given. I also purchased a classic pedicure and was not given the hot towels. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

Took my daughter for her first mani with dip and they rushed it. Bummer too because she likes some of the nails except the 2 that are weird and bumpy and the back edges of some are weird and uneven. I might take her again somewhere else to see if she likes it. For 2 pedis and 2 Manis on was dip I really thought they would take care of us. The pedis were nice just wish they had taken better care of my heals more. If they had done her nails better 5 stars.... but not these.Update: down 2 stars... tried to come again for pedis. $42each for the the lavender and turns out it should be the regular 4 min to scrub both feet including the exfoliation. Still has bad spots. The massage was 2 min on the left and 4 on the right. So.... bummer. 2 pedis were alright but not with the money. We should have gone to our usual in San Marcos. Still it is close so I guess. The new pics are the nail polish... which is good.

I typically come here for pedicures, I really love the lavender pedicure they offer.Chris did my pedicure and acrylics today and I was very impressed! He was very nice and made sure I was satisfied. I feel like he really took his time and I did not feel rushed as I’ve felt at other placesWill definitely be coming back to Chris

I used to enjoy service at Renaissance but recently I have been disappointed. Rude man did my manicure. My pedicure was rushed and looks terrible. Will not be going back. Expensive and not worth it

I’ve been there five times, twice with Bill who was very pleasant, very clean, gentle, and careful about taking the old dip off and tried hard to get a good finish. First time nails look great, on my fifth visit (second with Bill) there were multiple imperfections.The 3 times in between I used whoever was available and got 3 or more bloody fingers each time from excessive use of drill, uneven lengths and pockets in the finish. Cleanliness(lack of) of techs tool boxes and implements on every visit except with Bill were concerning.The one “pedicure” I had on one of the visits was literally nothing more than a $35 polish change.After the 5th visit I decided I was going back to DIY shellac.I soaked off the existing dip and found deep ruts across 7 nail beds from the drill. Every nail bed is painfully tender and my nails are tissue-paper thin. I am concerned enough that I am going to file a complaint with the state, along with photos of my nail beds.Dips are hyped as a gentle, non-damaging alternative to solar/acrylic. They might be IF old dip was soaked off instead of ground off by a poorly trained, hurried tech.If there is such a thing as Cosmetic Malpractice, this is it.

Spa-like posh atmosphere. The olive oil pedicure was lovely! I felt totally relaxed and pampered by the scrub, massage, hot stones and paraffin dip. And my toes look cute to boot! Thanks, Vivian!

The ambiance of this place is really lovely, but it’s a tad bit overpriced. Also, when I asked for a certain type of nail, the employee laughed and called it “boring” and tried to talk me into something I didn’t want. My pedicure was nice with a thorough scrub and massage.

This place completely took advantage of my family and I. They upgraded services requested without permission or agreement and completely over charged us. For 2 adults and 2 kids we ended up walking out paying $460! When I questioned the amount they offered nothing besides well thays what it costs! My nails also look like they have been growing out for a week right after leaving the spa. I was so upset that I didnt even notice how bad they looked until I got home. Do NOT recommend. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Tina was absolutely amazing. She worked very hard on my nails and I absolutely love them. She even did my cuticles. I was so embarrassed that my card was not working. I have no clue why, but she never made me bad. She was amazing during this horrific event.

Amazing owner of the spa. They treated me like family, and just getting my nails done at that spa is really worth it. I love the layout and what the spa represents. Oh theres a restrooms which, is big and clean! They used this cuticle oil on me one time and it made my legs look like it is made from glass, so shiny and it didnt feel heavy. They man who did my pedi was so nice and he gave me a nice lower leg massage. He didnt judge me for my hairy legs.

I have been getting my nails and toes done for years. I was a regular at another salon in New Braunfels but needed an appointment before 10am and was a walk in at Renaissance. It must have been my lucky day bc I found Brian. I did a plain dip set and they looked amazing. What was even more amazing is they lasted... they were not even lifting after 3 weeks!!! My hands are constantly in water and cleaners and my nails have NEVER lasted that long. I came back for fills and a pedicure and made sure to book with Brian. It was the best pedicure I’ve ever had. I also showed him a picture off of Pinterest of some “fun” design nails. He did better than the picture. Most nail salons will try to draw the design on with polish. Not Brian. He has all the up to date tools and stays educated with the newest techniques.... give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Very dirty business. I watched them use the same brush on 3 different people without sanitizing or washing it. The workers were very apologetic because they knew it was not right. They messed up my friends nails twice and had to get three people to work on her nails like how unprofessional and unsanitary is that? I’m so disgusted

Best pedicure I have ever had! I got the OPI Cucumber Pedicure. Yes its more expensive but Bill made it worth every penny! The attention to detail and relaxation was the reason I gave this experience 5 stars. I have been all over the world and had many pedicures over the last 20 years. Best one I have ever had, hands down! Ask for Bill. Hes the reason this time was worth writing a review. I never review services but I felt like he should get the recognition that he absolutely deserves. Thank you for making my Monday great!

Ugh I really just dont like this place, but my regular girl was all booked up and then getting married and going on her honeymoon. I made an appointment here for my mom and I to get our nails done. By the time they started my mom, my nails were almost done. She had to go through the process to get her existing dip nails and tips taken off. The girl who was doing hers didnt pay any attention to her existing nails to see how she likes them done. My mom had a color selected but the tech moved the nail guide without asking what color so we had to find the color again. Then she forgot what the color was so we had to find it again after the nail removal process. When she was shaping the nails we described how she wanted them multiple times before she got it right. Add to that the language barrier and the techs talking t and laughing to each other that we cant understand and it was a pretty sub par experience. I will have to say that my nail tech was better than my moms but, but still no where as good as my regular girl. Im sitting here typing this while my moms nails are still being done. If you want your nails done right go to Nailed It instead. Marie is my girl there and shes awesome. Next time Ill wait for her!

For 2 years I am never had so bad service in this Nail Saloon. Having a broke foot I reluctantly decided to get a pedicure. I asked Ms. Kelly to be carefully with my foot which she was not. She was extremely pushly in trying to sell me a more expensive pedicure which I told her repeatedly I did not want. She put my foot in boiling water, cut my toe and it bled and didnt want to provide lotion and massage. I had to ask to get what I paid for. Then, when I paid and gave a 18% tip which she gave me an additude and surely did deserve. Terrible service and terrible experience from Ms Kelly! It disappointing because I like this saloon and had nothing but good experiences until today.

I really tried hard to like this place but my entire experience was unsatisfactory. My nail tech, Brian, did one of my hands very well but the other was sloppy; I could tell that he was rushing. The NEXT DAY one of my nails broke while I was taking my earring off. I came back in to get it fixed and my nail tech was cold and obviously unhappy that I came back. Sorry that you have to fix YOUR sloppy work? On top of that he dipped one hand more than the other leaving my nails two different shades of pink. I also gave him a $20 tip the first time because that is the kind of customer that I am and this is how I was repaid. Please heed my advice and go somewhere else.

Brian rushed the entire time, never had me wash my hands, and the shellac is coming off all my nails, not even a week old. I wont go back here again.

I have been to this salon a few times, they did well the first few appointments but I am very disappointed with my nails and experience today. I got plain gel/shellac nails and they are the worst nails I’ve ever gotten. Gel nails should be very smooth and NOT running into the cuticle but these are lumpy and all over my cuticle. The entire time she was rushing and I could tell it was because she wanted to get to a new customer because she was watching the door every time someone walked in. I came in in a great mood and was being polite to everyone but she made me feel very unwelcomed. I have done my own gel nails before and honestly, I can do a better job than she did. I would have asked for her to fix them but she already made me feel unwelcomed so I was just ready to leave. I am very disappointed and will not be going back.

I went in just to get an eyebrow wax. It had been a long while since I had one. It was quite a few days until payday so money was tight to say the least. The very nice woman who did the wax suggested I get the sides of my face and lip. I asked several times how much it would cost but she never said a price. It was very hard to understand her but at one point she said something to the effect of you worth it, its okay. I took that to mean it wasnt any extra.She did do an amazing job. When I went up to pay and they told me it was 41.00 I was shocked. I asked what for and the young man who I presumed to be the manager told me it was for eyebrows, face and lip. I said I had no idea and I wouldnt have agreed if I had known it was that much. He didnt offer any kind of solution. I didnt have any money except for 12.40. I had to stand at the front counter and try to get a hold of any family or friends who would loan it to me by paypal. I kept saying to the manager, this is wrong. I asked her how much and she just said you worth it it, its okay.Finally my daughter sent me the rest of the money to pay the 41.00. I was so embarrassed and way humiliated. Standing at that counter begging for help from my family and trying to get the manager to do something to help. This was last Sunday (2/9/20). I thought about it all week and I hate giving negative reviews but this was not right and it needs to be made right.

So glad I stopped here for a full set. Brian was my nail tech and he went beyond my expectations! He can create and design anything you want. It was hard for me to choose but my nails look amazing.I started recommending all of my friends to go to to him.

The worst pedicure I’ve ever had. Came in and asked for a classic pedicure because I mainly wanted my feet rubbed. The lady literally didn’t give me a pedi at all. She also didn’t rub my feet at all. I just paid $30 for a polish change. Worst experience ever!

Mimi had done a manicure for my girlfriend while being very rude and gave a shoddy job. Quality was the worst I’ve ever seen from a nail place. Not only that but Mimi had cut her cuticles on several fingers all while managing to give the worst customer service I’ve ever heard of. This Mimi did a terrible job in every department possible and I would avoid her at all cost for your pockets & fingers sake don’t bother with her.

Update February 2018. I continue to visit this salon and love my pretty nails! I always ask for Julie. My shellac mani/pedi lasts for weeks!This was my 5th visit to this nail salon and Im a fan. I just get pedicures with regular polish so I cant speak to shellac or manicures. The salon is spacious and upscale. Drinks are complimentary and the service is excellent. Ive had Romeo and Peter and both gentlemen were personable and warm. Because of time constraints, twice Ive come in without an appointment and had to leave because the wait was too long so I recommend calling ahead. Those two times I went to other salons and my nails were chipped within a week. Thats never happened at Renaissance. They have smaller stations for little girls as well as a station thats ground level for someone who cant navigate the stairs (most of the pedicure stations are on a raised platform two steps up in the sides of the salon). Nice music plays and the atmosphere is pleasant. Im a happy customer!

Service was slow. Nails were ok but WAY too long. The girl said she didnt know how to do short nails. Then they tried to overcharge me by $15. Still ended up overcharging by $7 but after 2 hours I just gave up, paid, and vowed not to return.

Omg they’re sooo polite and clean! I have been to other spa’s nearby and I appreciate how professional they are. Not to mention, for Covid, I appreciate the extra steps they’ve taken to keep it clean for everyone. They take your temp, they have plexiglass up for the manicures and they enforce mask wearing.

I have tried a lot of nail salons in NB and this one is my favorite. They do a great job - every time!!! I am always greeted with a smile when I walk in the door regardless of how busy they are. I highly recommend Renaissance Nail Spa.*Brian is the best 😊

I wanted my nails to get done. They kept walking back and forth not helping at all. They took people ahead of me. This place used to be great. But it is dirty and not well maintained. It really is gross. The equipment is not clean and the people are not helpful. Pretty sure most employees are not licensed to do nails.

Amazing experience! First time getting my nails done and Tracy guided me in the right direction and was very helpful! I told her an idea of what I wanted and got that exactly! All the staff was friendly as well and the facility was very clean and organized as well as the bathrooms (which is important in my opinion). 🙂 I will definitely be returning! Really nice place. Chloe did an awesome job! The place is huge and offers alcoholic beverages for your enjoyment. Got there right after they opened so not a ton of people there.My nails look awesome as do my toes.

I would just like to say that the atmosphere of this place is super nice. 10/10 would decorate my house this way if I could afford it. But thats not the point here. Got gel nails done on Thursday. The very next day, I was helping with a crafty thing and I burnt the snot out of my finger while using a hot glue gun. Once everything stopped throbbing, I had to peel a bunch of dried hot glue off of my nails. My nails were fine and are still on and looking beautiful a full week later. Normally, my nails have grown out an edge and I would be able to peel the color off but theyre doing great!Im so sorry this is so long. It was just really nice.

Normally I go to a different nail salon but this as my back up was totally a great pick today. I had to wait almost an hour. Which is ok on a Saturday last minute as a walk in. Left and came back. Got seated when set to the time said. Liked that they honored their come back appointment time. The place is very nice you just know your gonna be relaxed after walking in. The service is friendly, not too out of their way but good service. Complimentary drinks. I took one of my girls with me and they did an awesome job designing her mermaid nails. Mine are sharp looking too. Not disappointed at all. Price is more, I got a full set so like 10 more than the usual price.

Both my husband and I came here to have pedicures today. There was no wait time, and we were seated immediately. Molly and Andy were phenomenal! They really took care of of us. We had a great time, we laughed so much!We will DEFINITELY be making this our salon. My husband was more than completely satisfied with the service he received and I was over the moon with my service.You will enjoy your whole experience here at Renaissance Nail Spa. We did!

I went in to get acrylic nails removed and asked if they have anything to help with the health of my nails. They do not. They referred me to Sallys. That doesnt seem right for a nail spa...

I moved to New Braunfels a year and a half ago. I visited half a dozen nail salons at least. Of those, all were over priced using cheap products or they were simply cheap products. Then I tried Renaissance Nail Spa. Haven’t gone anywhere else since! They have fair prices AND great products! Highly recommend! Not to mention a drink of your choice should you desire one.

This is a nice little spa that offers your run of the mill services, albeit at a higher cost than average. The service is pretty good, my only complaint is that it wasnt very clean. Like the tools they used were but the floors are not, theyre noticeably dirty. Otherwise its a nice place.

Chris was amazing, very friendly and gentle with my nails. The service was great but I could say the least about my actual nails. After 5 days my nails started peeling/lifting from the bottom up. Completely separating my nail from the acrylic. Great prices but not satisfied with my nails.

Best foot leg massage ever. Beta is amazing. Amazing. And super friendly. I wear flats and sandals for work and am always barefoot at home so my heels were an atrocity. He really took time to get them soft and smooth then the most amazing foot massage ever.

Needed a pedicure before hitting the outdoors over spring break. I was surprised by the ambience offered by this small city location. It was not only pleasant and open, but also ornately decorated all over. The sky ceiling, chandelier, fountains, wall sculptures, and Middle Eastern arches were a great addition to receiving a pedicure.

Chloe did an AMAZING job on my nails! I feel like a princess! She had such good ideas and was so detailed! It’s easy to see she enjoys doing nails as an art form!!!

Just moved to the area. Went to two different nail places before coming here. Both places have no idea what they were doing. I came to Chris with ratchet nails and he was able to fix them and you would have no idea what nightmares my nails have been through. He did an amazing job. I waited a week before posted just in case another nightmare occurred. Youre a miracle worker Chris! Thank you!

Beware of taking off your nails here. They cut your nails and put some lotion on them, not even enough to help dry hands and charge another $18. I didn’t have my nails painted. I spent almost the same amount as getting them redone. 😕

The decor is beautiful and the workers are nice however the quality of the nails are horrible. I got my nails done for prom (acrylics with shellac for $57) and when I left they looked amazing. However the next day I got 2 chips on my nails and a week later, the polish was coming off almost all and the nails were falling off. The reason I included the price is because I’ve gotten my nails done at 3 other places in New Braunfels for less money ($35, $45, $50) and those lasted up to at least a month and didn’t chip. Extremely disappointed.

I called twice ahead of time, was quoted $47 for dip nails and $28 for set of acrylics but they overcharged me $52 and $32 for each service, respectfully. Unacceptable. Deceiving. I did not say anything because my daughter hates public conflict. But, I will never go back again. They constantly tried to upsell my daughter three times when she said no, I do not want shellac (I overheard the conversation as I was sitting next to my daughter) ... Such blatant disregard for the customer. Sad.

Would not recommend at. All. Paid $50 for a regular mani and regular pedi. Normal polish-not shellac. My feet look terrible, my nails are bumpy and the paint is not all the way down to the cuticle, but yet it is all over the sides of my fingers. They were very rude when I asked them to fix my nails. They told me to sit and let my nails dry and wouldn’t fix them. I would give zero stars if I could.

I unfortunately did not have a great experince here. They did not do a good job on my nails or my friends nails. It may have been the people doing our nails. But over all not a good experince.

Marilynn is the best! She always does a phenomenal job! She even gives amazing manicures which are somehow skipped over by most other people in every other shop including this one. She is the only one here that I can comment on. They do offer a ton of color selection on dips, polish, and shellac.

They have the best happy hour drinks and always friendly!

Sat there for almost a solid hour after being told someone would be right with me.... picked my color but never got my nails done.... never had someone check in after they told me where to sit.... just wasted a good amount of time. Very disappointed with lack of service.

My 1 & only nail spa & Marie makes it all worth it! I will wait for her, but Ive never waited longer than 15 or 20 mins for her. They need to finish painting the art work, but other than that its good to go.
