Recently went to Plaza Bonita to look around at a few jewelry stores for an upgrade to my wedding set for our anniversary. We started off in another store before going to Kays but since we stay have credit with Kays, we decided to stop in there before finalizing a purchase. The staff was not friendly at all and there was almost no selection compared to the surrounding stores. Prices were very high as well in comparison.
Buyer beware. I am a long time customer (over 10 years) and I have never had any issues. I just got an engagement ring and went online to make my payment like I always have in the past. Only this time it didnt work. When I bought the ring the rep forced me to update my account, only she didnt update it, she made a new one with a new company called comenity. Apparently they no longer have their in house credit like before. When I followed the steps, I had to register again because now I had a new account I didnt know about. Then was able to make a payments again I new had over $100 in late fees and even though they were able to see I kept trying to log in, they offered no help to make things right. This will be my last purchase from Kay. A little advice for better customer service and to avoid situations like this one; If you are going to hire a third party company to represent your for anything, make sure you have a strong communication with them and you are all on the same page. Poor communication like this will destroy any company.

I had an unpleasant experience with a return at the Plaza Bonita Store #1363, San Diego. I had put down a down payment on a ring, changed my mind, and wanted a return. I was then told that the process requires the ring back to their possession.I did not have the ring because they just sent it on the way to be resized; what kind of stupid policy is that? I waited a week for a call, and there was still no call. Went to the location to speak to a manager and the same sales lady helped me with thw refund. Instead of returning the funds to my debit card, she decides to put it as credit on the Comenity Card. I had found out the situation on my own 2 weeks later. And I had called the Plaza Bonita store to speak to a supervisor about the refund but according to the person who answered, she was helping someone. Asked me for my name and number, but never called me back. I waited till the next day and nothing. Just because a sales transaction never went through, it shouldnt affect their professionalism. The sales person should have at least redirected my interests and acted professionally. Do not waste your time here!!
I purchased a mid price BULOVA watch from Kay jewelers a lil while ago and had to take it in for a new battery.Honestly ANNA gave us the best customer service possible and always called us with updates and sounded happy to talk to usThis was the second Kay jewelers we tried .The first Kay jewelers in mission valley was SOO terrible that we took the watches back from the lady and said no way.Even thou ANNA didnt make a sale by taking our watches for service she is extremely professional and courteous to us that now we feel comfortable making large purchases because we know she will take good care of us in the future .Thank you Kay jewelers and ANNA at plaza bonita mall.
This places sucks poor service repairs took my engagement ring to get soldered to join my wedding band I was promised it would be ready in 7 days I return to the store my rings were not joined because the company oversaw the note for them to be soldered they were resent out being promised to be back a couple days later I then returned and my rings were never sent out then I was promised to be picked up and ready again by afternoon 16 days newly married and 16 days later my rings are still not ready they have no sympathy at all
