This was my first boot camp type workout. I typically hit the weight 4-5 days a week. I was out of town and Needed to mix up my routine.The facilities were nice, lockers, showers, and changing room. They had a good assortment of drinks as well.Something that stood out to me was the treadmills. They were somewhat cushioned and had give when you stepped. My shins were not throbbing when I finished.The atmosphere is cool, instructors are motivating, and I enjoyed my workout.After your workout they greet you with a chilled towel to cool off. I burned right at 1000calories in the 1 hour workout.

I know that Barrys Bootcamp is very popular and increasingly so. I can see the lure of it - very nice space, very fit instructors who are naturally very inspiring, and great interval training work outs. The studio is located in the Gulch, the heart of Nashville. Despite being in such a coveted neighborhood, the studio is very spacious and clean. I never checked out their amenities because I knew I wasnt going to be a regular there. The instructors are friendly, energetic, and gives good cues. Theyre all in fantastic shape, which I think is one of the selling points of Barrys, although I dont think you can assume they are testaments to its effectiveness. Anyway, the workouts is why I think it falls short of being a perfect five star. The class alternates between cardio (running on the treadmill) and weights. The latter is where the variability of the classes come from (focus on different body parts). Typically, youd start with 10 minutes on the treadmill and then hop off for weights on the bench and then back on the treadmill. I really do love this type of interval training, it gets the sweat and the heart racing. However, this is all done in a very dimly lit room and I just cant imagine the instructors being able to check your form especially in a class of about 50 people. I think it caters to younger people who are resistant to injury even with bad form and excludes people who need more instruction.

Great workout and good variety of exercises.The facilities are clean, inviting and the staff are all friendly and accommodating. Im a fan of the concept and they had great gear.My only disappointment is size of the studio, felt a little crammed at times.

Hands down my favorite place in Nashville to go for a good workout! It will kick your butt, but live you feeling great afterwards! All the coaches are super helpful and motivational. Give it a try! You wont be disappointed. -- If you want results and a good calorie burn go to Barrys!

One of the best workouts that there is! I cant say enough about the staff, amenities, and system as I believe that everything is top class. If youre young with no lingering issues/injuries and youre familiar with basic weightlifting form this is the best that there is. If youre not then I really would be a little hesitant to recommend this system (hence 4 stars). As much as the trainers are knowledgeable and helpful and try their best to accommodate, theyre limited as to what they can do with this exercise system. The room is very dimly lit and the exercise is very fast paced, and classes are usually pretty full of around 40-50 people. So as far as a trainer being able to check form or offer modifications it really is impossible. Also almost every workout that they offer is pretty heavy on the core/ab area, so if you have lower back issues Id definitely stay away. In summary, if youre young, in moderate shape (able to do any HIIT style), and already know proper form then Id highly recommend this place/system! Otherwise go at your own risk.

Everything you expect from a Barrys. If you dont know, its a high-intensity impact training that fuses treadmill exercises with floor exercises. They range from abs to arms and legs to full-body workouts. The trainers push you by encouraging you and keeping your mind on short term goals in the class, which makes each workout go by so fast! Love the people and the atmosphere. I love going in there and giving it my all! Love Antonio the owner, great guy. The staff great you with a smile and get you going! :) The trainers are great and they challenge you! If in Nashville or just visiting, you must come to Barrys in Nashville!

As a first time customer, I was talked into buying a 3-pack of classes. I returned several months later and was told my classes had expired and was forced to purchase another class. If you enjoy empty classes and giving away your money then Barrys wont disappoint.

The name Bootcamp can be intimidating. Im not a workout junkie. Its more like a thing I do because I know its good for the body. Calling it a workout doesnt do it justice; its more like an experience. The music is pulsing, the room glows red, the fans swirl the air, and the instructor motivates you. I always work out with Josh and hes great. I also think the business does a good job with the little things like nice soaps and lotions, towels, and mints. Check it out!

I absolutely love the whole team at Barrys. When I first started going regularly, I quickly lost the 25 lbs of baby weight I needed to loose. Now I build lean muscle and have a great time doing it with their awesome trainers!

If you attend this class via classpass, please know you cannot start on a treadmill. I made this mistake and they would not let me switch, even when the class was only half full.
