Nice gym, nice staff- but if you ever want to cancel your membership, prepare to be charged on your credit card repeatedly after canceling, in addition to charges for odd amounts and horrible customer service on the 800 number. I cancelled in July and still have not been able to resolve my billing issues. So if you are committing to a long term membership, i recommend, but if you only want a shorter membership i do not recommend this gym due to the horrible billing system.

Great gym, they are open 24/7, 365 days a year. Bonus because someone is always working there around the clock in case something happens. Good prices too, you can get subscriptions for as cheap as 9.99 a month. Only thing I would like to see change is some new leg machines.

Was a long time member but quit a year or so. Always had nice equipment for the price of the membership. But never really cared for the staff. Not too friendly. At the time I quit, they only had one working water fountain and that fountain didnt have the best water pressure. Complained about it for weeks including the fact that most other gyms were adding those nice filtered water machines.

The gym is really nice and so are the people but no one ever told me about a annual fee charge and I keep getting random charges on my account. I’ve called customer service and they won’t help me. I just ended up canceling my membership!

They failed to respond about the insane heat inside the basketball court. Been a member for some time and the company neglects to provide relief or compensation for the humidity inside the court all the time. Its the summer time and theres no type of breeze or cool air circulating. It bothers me when you ask for ventilation and they look at you and say call corporate. As a leader( Manager) of your branch you suppose act accordingly when it comes to public health.I think because most of the members are black that play basketball then they assume we wont care.I can never sit back and not do anything.

I purchased 40 training sessions 3 years ago, but the trainer they assigned to me kept no-showing. They quickly assigned me a new trainer who was great, but after 20 sessions I was told that I was out. It turned out the previous trainer had marked all his no-shows as me not showing up, so they charged me. When I brought this to their attention they said they would have to call corporate to get it refunded. It has been 2 years, I have spoken to at least 8 people, 5 of which were high level managers but they still have no record of me ever having issued a complaint, and corporate has never been informed about it and says that I need to settle this with the local franshise. It has been 2 years and I doubt they will ever give me my money back, but everyone should avoid them

Ive had a membership with xsport since I was 16, now 21. Its the best xsport Ive been to. When the gyms reopened, the employees actually implemented the COVID regulations. The employees also dont hit on you, so I felt pretty comfortable going. My only complaint is that a lot of the physical trainers, with clients, will leave equipment without cleaning it.

I bought a Sports massage packet of 10 massages back in 2019 at X Sport in South Naperville for $850 ( usually sells for $1000).I used 8 and before using the remaining 2, Xsport called me and asked me to buy another massage package ..no expiration, no back out dates, buy 10 get 1 free, which I very promptly did ( another $850).2020 Covid hit and X Sport shut down their massage services infinitely.Then began an endless string of weekly customer service calls, where I would be put on hold for hours only to be told after 4 successful calls, where I talked to a human, that I need to write a HANDWRITTEN LETTER to a PO Box # in Aurora, IL, detailing what I paid, what I used and then X Sport would determine what was due to me and would call me to let me know what dollar amount the check would be drawn in.I sent the handwritten letter by registered mail on Feb 18, 2021.NO response from them. I patiently waited March, Apr, May 2021 and finally called the customer service # again on June 8th.An employee by the name of Kyle told me (after a 30 min waiting time) that they never received the letter ( false..because I sent it by registered mail and knew exactly the date they received it). He said they will honor it anyway and send me a check for $400.22 . He verified my mailing address ( twice) and said I should receive the check in 30 days. 30 days? OK I will wait another 30 days since I waited 18 months already.Nothing in the mailbox !I called YET AGAIN on July 13, 2021. ON hold for 35 minutes, after which an employee by the name of Susan put me on hold to verify what was going on with their Accounting department) and told me the check was returned to them because of a typo in the zipcode ( really?) and that they mailed the check to me again YESTERDAY ( I am guessing they knew ahead of time that I was going to call on July 13th.I told Susan this was my 7th call ( averaging 35 minutes waiting time to speak to someone ), which is over 4 hours of waiting time. She kindly offered to call me back in a couple days to check if I did get the check ( I dont have much hope) but all of you out there who made it this far reading the review.....BEWARE....DO NOT FALL VICTIM to any OFFERS from X SPORT..massages or anything else for that matter.Sincerely,One angry customer

VERY UPSET 😠! I’ve comes multiple times to this location and sometimes I bring a guest with me and we never get asked for an I.D. Today I came in with a guest and they wouldn’t allow us to go in because we didn’t have an I.D. I understand it’s a policy but this “policy” should ALWAYS be applied. Not when ever you guys want too. Having better customer service wouldn’t hurt either.

Walked in a couple days ago to try a workout. Felt like I walked into a car dealership with being hassled to try and buy a membership which happened to be a “one time offer”. Upstairs is packed with people as well as ungodly hot. Pump was a solid 7/10, creatine hit mid workout and had to let one go in the men’s room. Pretty decent other then the car dealer mentality

Been going here for 6 years. ever since I turned 18. Ive been personal trained 3 or 4 times. Out of all my trainers I only had one that I was in sync with. He was amazing. Unfortunately he no longer works there but he did an amazing job. I have a couple back syndrome and he really knew how to help me tone up without hurting my back. Other than xsports trying to get money from ya(which is normal for gyms) its a really good gym. Im happy!. Plan to stay here as long as I possibly can. The gyms are clean and the staff is always nice! Ive reccomended a few people that also love it

There were at least 10 people orwithout a mask ann/or wearing under the nose during the workout. I thought staff would say orencaurage to put it back on and wear it nproperly but for my surprise some of the staff do not wear the mask properly. Very disappointing and not safe

As a frequent swimmer, the pool is dirty and always has things floating around in it.Also, the steam room in the mens bathroom has mold growing on the shower head. After bringing this up to the staff multiple times, they have yet to clean it. That cant be healthy to breathe in!

This is a great gym for the money that I pay for it. I was going to another gym and that gym just got too expensive. I came here and this gym is a better quality gym. I just hate that there are all these restrictions now because of Covid. I know that it’s not really XSport’s fault, but I wish they could open the lockers, showers, hot tub and the sauna. My friend took me to her gym last week and all of these things are opened at her gym! There are restrictions about how many people can be in the hot tub or sauna at a time, but at least people can still use these things. I was also surprised that at her gym the staff wasn’t as strict about the mask wearing. XSport is still an awesome gym, but I wish they were more like the gym I went to with my friend last week.

Lately my experience at XSport hasnt been great, especially tonight.Its awesome that you guys are doing temperature checks but that is literally the bare minimum. Its starting to become overcrowded, especially upstairs. It doesnt seem like anyone gets turned away even if the gym is half full.The hand sanitizer bottles are almost all empty and there isnt even any sanitizer in Studio 1.I also highly suggest you guys get your staff to stop standing around yakking and get them to enforce the mask and social distancing policies. Its nearly impossible to get a workout done safely when someone else comes in halfway and starts exercising on the machine right next to you or with dudes walking around with no masks on.Please take these things into account, you have people paying hundreds of dollars to work out here. We all at least deserve a safe environment to exercise in

Employees are rude. Threatening me to throw me from second floor. Refuse to name himself. Care about customer without mask in same time doesn’t keep social distance and proper face cover. Told me to leave facility because in middle of training I were without mask but I were still more than 6 feet from other customers. Promise me to cancel my membership, “like I were ever come back after treating me”. Never seen anything like that, I wish there is minus rating were existing.

OMG- This is a really a lovely facility. I told my boyfriend it looked like an Executive XSport, lol. My home gym is in Lyons, Il but I keep my gym bag in my car and whenever Im away from home I just giggle the nearest XSport and away I go.... I like all the ones Ive visited, but this was the best in terms of space, variety and appearance, so far. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

This was a great gym, however to my dismay months after I cancelled my membership due to COVID, I was charged $111 randomly from my credit card. After writing them that I want my membership cancelled, they pull this three months later? I try calling their offices however the line is always busy. The locker rooms are a disaster. Most of the stalls do not have toilet paper, and the paper towel dispenser is always empty too. There are some gentlemen who work at the front who just super rude to other employees and its terrible. Weights are all over the place and the machines are just packed together.

They are equipped with decent machines and professional staff, but when it comes down to canceling their membership, they chose to deal with it as if they are in stone age era. I cancelled my membership years ago, but i am still getting charged. Upon calling their customer service, they can not find my account but sure enough they will charge me every month. they want people to visit their location between 9-5, weekdays only to talk to one of their managers cos they chose not to communicate over the emails or phone. so now i have to take time off from work just to deal with this issue.

The staff folks aren’t bad, really nice folks. But they got rid of towels because they want to be “environmentally friendly”. Meanwhile each person has to bring their own towels and wash them at home and bring it with them? When you can industrially wash hundreds of towels more efficiently?Most of the machines are aging out and really starting to break down. Cheaper than the la fitness down the street. But you get what you paid for.Still not a bad gym. Check it out get the guest pass.

I have been using this gym for almost 6 years now and my husband over 10 years. I used to love it. It used to be so nice and clean and accessible. I am an early morning exerciser and the gym is absolutely filthy compared to what it used to be, especially early morning when we arrive. I go home to shower but my husband has to shower here and he reports black slugs in the showers many days. They used to have wonderful people cleaning at this time, now clearly it has not been cleaned since at best the evening before. I am not a big complainer... I mean I’m at a gym I’m here to workout and leave... but I’m super disappointed in the facility the past year or so. When our membership is up in about a year we will be gym shopping for sure.

Needs more sanitation in lockers rooms. Equipment needs maintenance, starting to rust due to poor cleanliness. Inside actual lockers was dirty, poor smell. Low lighting in upstairs weight room. Equipment starting to breakdown. Basketballs are low on air or completely flat.

I asked if I could bring my groomsmen who are also active duty. They said it would be $20 a person. I called lifetime fitness and they got us free passes for the whole weekend. XSport is a joke.

The customer service has gotten better over time . A cleaning service is needed at all times. I’ve been disgusted a lot of times to find the bathroom, showers and steam room filthy. Hair in the drains and balled up papers towels everywhere. This is a busy gym. The equipment needs a good wipe down to insure there is no residue. I wipe down all the equipment after I use it but there are people that don’t. They leave water bottle and paper towels every where. I really love the classes and the variety of equipment. In the cleaning aspect of the gym. It needs to get better. There are times I go in the evening during the week. Where I notice the cleaning person is sitting texting on her phone my entire visit. I don’t have a problem with anyone being on their phone but try to multitask and get the cleaning done.

Bathroom smells like urine and weed -- thats all it took for me to cancel my membership. Dont feel like taking showers at this gym either especially with the way it smells. They recently removed towel service too! Dont want to speak on all staff members, but there are some staff that dont really seem to care about you and just about closing the deal.Would not recommend! Better to join a gym thats clean and doesnt overcharge.

My friend and I went to redeem our free 7 day guest pass but we were charged $40 to use the gym. Mind you I still had to pay the $5 for daycare for my 1.5 year old daughter. The sales manager was rude and seemed very rushed in finishing up so that I can sign a membership plan. I appreciate Adam and his customer service. He offered a free 2 week plan but Id appreciate the refund instead. I would love to have a membership in the future, until then Ill obviously go to a cheaper gym

Decent facility, however compared to every single gym in 10 miles you wont find a dirtier gym. Id know as I have visited with friends, used my other memberships to other locations, or have done tours. The drinking fountains upstairs have the weakest stream Ive seen since my high school weight room 15 years ago (I have asked multiple times over the course of almost two years, 5 would be conservative). Unfortunately it is also always absolutely filthy and has the same colorful residue every time you go there. The ones downstairs are better (its as simple as turning a lever inside the fountain). Always very busy and the quality of the machines are pretty lacking. Since they get constant use being such a large gym the cables arent smooth on almost any machine. If you spray a bar or bench down and use a clean paper towel it will completely change the paper towels color. The steam room usually smells of urine, and the saunas wood could use new planks. The pool should be avoided, look in any direction underwater with goggles and youll notice you can only see about 10 feet due to murk. The greeters and supplement staff are very friendly and courteous, theres an African American young lady in particular who is always exceptionally friendly and polite, smile on the face etc. Overall decent, over crowded, needs a renovation.Perks:-24/7-Great instructors for group fitness, especially yoga.-Proximity

I recently signed up for a membership at this location. I felt like I was being taken advantage of while signing up since I had never joined a gym before. I ended up getting charged a large amount of 160 dollars and I have no idea what it’s for. I need to cancel my membership after realizing I cannot afford this but the process to cancel is ridiculous. Sending a letter to a place as a request to cancel?? They make it hard on purpose and it’s shady. Don’t even waste your time signing up here because if you ever want to cancel, they will make sure you don’t.

This is a review for all of Xsport as I spent time at various locations. Before Covid-19, I thought this was a solid gym. However with the ongoing situation I decided to cancel my membership and found it annoying you can’t cancel online, you have to write a letter or go in person to do so. I want to get my money back as I was charged for the upcoming month when I had no plans of returning since the majority of what I use the gyms for (pool, sauna) is closed due to covid, but the corporate line is impossible to reach. I have tried calling multiple different days and times to try and get my money back. Either the phone stops ringing and says “user busy” or I am put on hold and never get to speak with a representative. Whenever I decide to get a gym membership in the future I will not consider Xsport, and will also be leery of automatic payments for gym memberships.Edit: I ended up getting my refund, although it did take a couple reminders. Upgrading from 1 star to three.

It’s a good gym. Get the job done for when you need to workout. But I have some things where they can definitely improve upon: the bathrooms/ locker rooms, lighting, and availability of weights/ machines. First, the bathrooms/ locker rooms. They smell absolutely horrible. I think it’s one of the worst smells of all time. Especially in the bathroom. To describe the smell, I would say it smells worse than a port-a potty and sewer combined. The lighting is kinda crummy for when filming videos of workouts and such. Last the weights/ machines are basically completely filled during the evening and it’s hard to get a workout in. I would suggest extending the second floor to add in more space for free weights and racks. That would be absolutely amazing to see. Otherwise this gym gets the job done

I see a pattern in this feedback....they lied to my wife to get her to sign a contract then wouldnt let her out. She signed up for personal trainer services which they make you pay in advance then we were forced to move for work and they wont refund her for unused services. She SPECIFICALLY asked about that before signing up.We even filed a complaint with the corporate office that nobody cared to respond to.Bunch of incompetent scumbags running this place.UPDATE: The third party they contract to handle the large volume of customer issues connected me to somebody in the company who hid behind some obscure and illogical fine print to deny a refund. There are 100+ reviews of just this location that follow the same pattern in just the last year or so.There are too many red flags here to even begin to understand why anybody would want to do business with these people.1. You cant resolve issues locally2. When you use the established process to file a complaint with the corporate office they dont respond3. When you turn to social media they use a third party who has an elaborate tracking mechanism to track the large volume of complaints for this company...aka the company doesnt care enough to resolve issues themselves and needs the help from a 3rd party4. In the end you finally get to someone at the company who doesnt acknowledge the pattern of unethical behavior their employees use by saying anything to get people to sign a contract.Bottom line - if this place was the last place on earth where I could achieve the level of fitness that I desire, Id rather stay morbidly obese.

I signed up childcare in this location and told them I just wanted one month only, and they said OK. They charged me $15 and asked me to sign on their screen. Several months later I found out they were charging my credit card every month not just one month. So I went to Xsport and asked for refund. They told me I could call their office to cancel it and get the refund.I went back home and called their office (because it took so long to call the number). The customer rep refused to refund the money because they said I signed contract with them, and they had my signature. The rep said I must go to the Xsport location to cancel it. So basically, the store pushed me to call their office and their office pushed me to go to the store. The customer service became extremely bad when I mentioned I want to cancel the service and get refund. They were like just get out and we can’t do it and was very impatient.I realized the signature I signed before might be a contract to pay them $15 per month? They never told me when I sign it and I though that was just the signature to charge $15 on my credit card. I think this is really fraud to ask me to sign it and told me it’s just for one month and later on it turned out they charged me every month and refuse the refund. It’s not lots of money and we really don’t care about it. But this really make me uncomfortable and feel being tricked. I’m going to file complaint to state consumer protection agency as well because this is really makes me frustrated.

Too many thing that needs to be improved in this location. Every time I go here, one or two machines are broken. Also, the bathroom is filthy. Nobody cleans the steam room and sauna. Most of the time there are no shower gels in the bathroom. Although I have complaints about this location I want to say something positive. I went to the front desk and told Brendan that they have no soap in the locker room. He immediately acted upon my request. Brendan is the only staff that smiles every time I go there. He is very friendly, and always ready to help. Brendan is such an amazing employee.

Had a terrible experience at Xsport fitness Naperville. I had visited the place to use a 7 day free trial that i had received in the mail. The sales rep showed us around and forced us to take the membership on the first day telling that there is a free 30 day money back guarantee.Then they forced us to go with a trainer and we denied that. This changed the behaviour of the sales rep and he started being really rude by telling things like you cannot lose weight without a trainer and you will come back fatter. We decided to cancel the membership after he said this.Now when we go to cancel they ask us to call the members service who never pick the phone. Have been waiting for 1 to 2 hours each time i call without any luck. The one time i get through them after 2 hours, they inform that i should be going there atleast 4 times and take the session with trainer. This was never informed to us by the sales rep when he mentioned that there is free 30 day cancellation.All in all, very bad experience with the sales rep and customer service team and we still have not got our money back. I advise everyone to stay away from this place.

Been a member here for years. It’s a good deal for a 24/7 gym. 100% get the GLOBO GYM feel from the movie dodgeball and that’s what makes me love it even more. Locker rooms are tile and pretty well looked after. Showers could use cleaned more but that’s everywhere, just wear flip flops like a normal person. Sauna, steam room, hot tub, lap pool; all available 24 hours a day. You can get massages and haircuts also. They have an entire recovery wing with tanning, IR saunas, and other cool amenities. Worth the membership.

The only positive thing I can say about this gym are the trainers. I have been coming here on and off for years. The only thing that brings me back are the fantastic trainers. The gym is dirty and equipment is broken. I have had to change machines multiple times because something wasn’t functioning. The bathrooms are gross and not maintained.

X sports charged me several times without any permission plus the staffs are very unprofessional.there is one female trainer whose name is justine erin and she tried to flirt with me.she asked my name so i gave my name to her and she became my facebook friend. After that she approached me for training since I went to body building show. i had no problem because i had nothing to lose except my marriage if my wife find out.she asked me to spot her from the back when she did squad and i got her hint. it was fun, but now i am going thru divorce because my wife found out about what i did with her.be careful when you go to this gym. especially female polish trainer . she is craving for all guys attention.

This gym is big, has a lot of nice amenities that some of the smaller gyms dont have. Such as basketball courts sauna and steam room, pool with the hot tub, massage and spa including haircut. However they just have one staff person cleaning, so if you go at night its generally going to be messy

So unprofessional place, customer service is a zero. Personal trainers do not care about my concerns, rude. My name is Edina Dolic. In talked to manger Harris today, and he refused to give me my money back, he said I could only choose personal trainer to use my 13 sessions. and that I signed up for thus contract, reality is he talked me into signing for personal trainer. which is fine, what is not fine is rudeness and unprofessionalism of staff and lack of good customer service skills. I left my info on Monday for personal trainer to call me so I can cancel them since they could not find time to talk to me in person, ... its Thursday and he did not call. I have to give one star in order to post this, but they are zero... also bathrooms are so dirty

I like this gym but they could do better. The dumbbells are gross. They always have black buildup from peoples sweat. The machines address often dirty. Most members dont wipe things down and the staff rarely makes eye contact or makes you feel welcome. If I hadnt paid for a year I would be somewhere else. They have a great location and could kill it with customer service but drop the ball more often than not.

Very very Bad experience. Will not recommend anyone to use the Naperville branch.1. Sales team hid price details, misguided us and were rude2. Customer service was very bad, there was no help at any level3. The Customer care phone number is useless, keep you waiting for hours and still dont helpThere is no transparency and sales rep and customer service reps are very rude and not helpful. I have never experienced such a bad service ever. Highly disappointed.

First off this place looks decent but then when you start going there you notice all the little things that are out of place, like the showers don’t seemed to be cleaned regularly, the men’s locker room is always filthy and when I wanna get a shake some people have just refused to make one cause they didn’t want to and they “run out of ice” all the time. Also the one manager, I forget her name but it started with and L, she’s just rude, like for real idk how she got that position. Overall they have nice equipment but it’s rarely cleaned and weights are never where they are supposed to be, I’m gonna try planet fitness cause they are also open 24/7 and they charge 22$ for their premium membership, which includes a massage chair and 1/2 off drinks, and it’s right up the street from XSport

The staff and manager is very rude, I wanted to buy the membership for one year and they even didnt allow me to take one day trial .The senior management have to see this issue if they care about their business.Contact me for more details because with the behavior of their staff I am definitely not going there and plus taking all my friends out and I will make sure to tell everyone in my circle for not going their at all and btw i have 1 million followers on Instagram.Bad service and surprised that people still buy their memberships.

Hidden fees, beware. Just to sign in they charge $50 fee, and there is a cancellation fee or as they refer it as annual fee they charge you again $50 fee even if you trained there for 1 month. so 3 months membership with them costs me $230 and their adverts are saying otherwise.

My experience with X Sport was amazing for the simple fact of 1 employee. Anna was amazing and always brought a warm smile to the gym. Its easy for people who work there to forget how they can impact other peoples lifes on a daily basis for the better.

How can I post a picture in this review to show the DIRTY showers that this location has? Every single shower has clumps of hair and garbage. Such as bandaids etc. I invite the owner to come and shower at this location and go secret mystery shop the locations. You guys seriously need to improve the customer experience. That is all.

Honestly the most disgusting gym I have been in. Bathroom is absolutely horrible to be in and if my schedule wasnt so busy, I wouldnt ever shower here. I bring the cleanliness of the facility to the attention of guest services monthly and nothing is done.Equipment is nice though. So 2 Stars guess.

I got a 30 day free membership. I went there one time for ten minutes. This is the most disgusting place I have ever stepped foot in. The stench In the locker room is the disguising and the steam room, lets say a homeless man would not even want too be in there. I spent 10 minutes here packed up my bag and left and will never return. Thank God I did not sign up for what he called was the deal of a lifetime. I went home took a shower and put my clothes In the washing machine with bleach. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. Please make sure you use your free trial before giving them your credit card number. I guarantee you will not join. All the other reviews about cleanliness are 100 percent accurate. If you dont believe get a free trial and see for yourself.

Horrible experience and I’ve only been a member for a week. I went in as a guest with my friend who has a membership in Bolingbrook, they persuaded me to join because they have a facility in Naperville that is close to my office. So I thought it would work out but the Naperville location is not as close to my office as I thought. So I decide to cancel, I called the Naperville location to ask what the process was and all that was told to me was to come in and do it in person. I came in, today, Sunday, and was told they only do cancellations Monday through Friday. So I made a special 45 minute trip out for nothing. Then, I call back and ask to speak to a supervisor. Who told me he wanted to help me out but they have no cancellation forms at the time. Livid!

Staff always seems to be too occupied in their own conversations to even muster a greeting. If they are texting or talking to one another about none work related things they will have you stand and wait before they badge you in. It’s got all you need to work out but the locker rooms are not kept up with. Usually dirty and the blow dryers are always out of order. Could use some major improvements. Starting with the staff’s attitude.
