So thankful for Adam & his crew! I am in love with the Outdoor Playscape! He had great communication skills, he was always punctual in returning call and showed up when scheduled & was instrumental in seeing a dream come true, from a drawing. The daycare kids are going to love it!!

Adam and his guys did an amazing job on our French drain! It rained the day they started, so we could tell it was working before they were even finished! It was so nice to enjoy a rainy day relaxing instead of scooping water out of our dining room! We are very pleased with the quick, efficient service and the reasonable price. Highly recommend Wood Lawn & Landscaping!

Adam and his guys laid over 11,000 sq feet of sod for us, on top of cleaning and shaping some ditches that would have taken me weeks to do it by hand. They were here till 7pm, making sure they got it done in the day that he promised. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to whoever needs landscaping work done.

If you are looking to get a professional landscaping job done then you should keep looking. I had a couple local landscaping companies come out to give me an estimate on a pretty extensive job I needed done on a new house we had bought in the Honor Heights area. The landscaping beds had already established but the previous owners had let them become overgrown and unmanageable. Wood Landscaping assured me he would do a better job than the competing landscaping company and for a cheaper price and so I went ahead with him.He estimated the job out in 3 phases and wrote out in an email what he would be doing. Phase 1 consisted of cleaning out all the beds, cutting down several trees and grinding down existing stumps. That would cost $1950. I felt that was pretty reasonable for the work being done. IF all the work had been done. Several stumps were left unground, half of the front yard was left with leaves in it (apparently he blew all the leaves out of the beds and then left a large amount of them in the yard), and didnt even touch two of the large beds in the front (several stumps left). I called him about the items left undone and he assured me they would get them done and so I moved on.Phase 2 was getting the landscaping beds in the front and back yards planted and finished. That would cost $5453.00. He did the beds in a day while I was at work and when I came home in the evening to see them, I was flabbergasted! In short, the landscaping beds looked horrible! There were several big decorative rocks in the beds that I had asked to be removed and reset because the vegetation had grown up so much around them and they were essentially buried in dirt. Adam assured me they would remove and reset the rocks. It turns out that meant they would tilt the rocks up a little and not really remove and reset anything. The beds were not weeded at all. I had English ivy in the front beds and we had determined we would leave that for groundcover. I guess that meant that any vegetation growing in the beds at all would be left for groundcover. Anyway, I came home and saw the front beds and I was terribly disappointed. They looked awful.1. Several plants were planted in the beds but in disarray.2. There were plants in the beds that had not been listed in the estimate.3. None of the stones were noticeably reset.4. Overall it just looked awfulThe back beds were a little better but only for a short time because he had covered all the existing grass and weeds with a thin layer of mulch. Now, not even one month later, all the weeds are growing out through the mulch and it now looks awful as well. I was so unhappy with the job that I spent an entire weekend amending the front beds(removing all the rocks, weeding all the beds, leveling out the beds and mulching all of it, over 150 bags ((300 cubic feet)) of mulch in total just for the front beds, and replacing all the rocks). The mulch alone cost me over $400, not to mention the hours I spent working on it.In the meantime I had emailed Adam and voiced my concerns. His reply was that he would try to fix all the issues that I had with the job but that it would cost me more money in labor since he felt that he had done the job according to his estimate. At that point I paid him the money I owed him and cut ties.In the end he took $480 off the $5453 I owed to reimburse me for what I had done to the front beds. I spent 12 hours or more per day for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday and he reimbursed me for 8 hours of my time at $35/hr and $200 for mulch. Keep in mind he charged me $145/hr for the labor his company performed.I have never encountered a service industry where if a customer was unhappy with the product they paid for they would still be forced to pay full price for it or extra if the problems were amended. All in all, very unhappy with the work and would never in a million years recommend them to anyone.Update 12/25/2017Adam doesnt offer refunds on DEAD plants because the place he gets his plants from does not offer HIM refunds and he passes that on down to the customer.
