Used this beautiful salon for my wedding. They were beyond amazing. They bent over backwards to make sure we all looked perfect! My hair didn’t move the whole night and my makeup was perfect, exactly what I wanted! If I lived closer this would be the salon I went to for all of my services! 💕

Ive never felt more welcomed into a salon environment than I have at Dockside! After some not very great experiences elsewhere, all my nerves were washed away within minutes with the top tier service I received. Definitely my new permanent salon!

I live in the Muskegon area and was hoping to find local vendors for our wedding. The ladies over at Dockside knocked it out of the park. On our wedding day, they worked SO fast and completed hair and makeup for 7 of us girls. Now that being said, I am terrible at make up and could never make myself look the way the girls did! I am still so thankful! The pictures from our wedding turned out amazing. If you are even considering going to Dockside, DO IT.

Had my appointment set for 2 months and I asked to confirm my appointment for Saturday and they tell me I MUST provide a credit card to hold my appointment. REALLY, my appointment is in two days and I refuse to give my card information to have on file. Anyone there has access to that financial information. Or I have to come in and put a deposit down? I cant make it down there in the next day .Very upset that I have to provide a credit card to hold an appointment. I have never stood anyone up for an appointment. No worries Ive already made an appointment for Saturday with another company

I have been coming to Dockside for a year now and Seanna is amazing! Even though I no longer live in the Muskegon area Seanna makes the drive worth it. She is always able to get my hair color where I want it to be 🙂.

Dockside salon was an amazing experience from beginning, by offering online booking, to end, by allowing the tip to go on my card. Overall great atmosphere and fair prices.I highly recommend Annie! She fixed my hair that was long overdue for a cut and various faded shades to a beautiful burgundy color perfect for fall. She actually listened to what I wanted for the cut and delivered it.

I went here for the first time. I woke up the next day with burns under both my eyes. Scared! Thanks but no thanks!

I had a great experience at Dockside Salon, I called and was able to get in right away. My stylist was Simmone, and she cut my hair the way I wanted, as Im a no frills kinda gal. There salon as a whole was clean. I did see they had chairs to do pedicures. I will probably be back. I do recommend trying this place.

I got exactly what I wanted for a great price. Everyone was very friendly, with an exceptionally comfortable atmosphere. Many salons are arrogant and snobbish but not this one.They are easy to find and well worth leaving my local barber for. I watched my stylist, Lauren, work her magic on a womans hair before my mans hair cut. The woman whose hair she styled was transformed into hair that added immensely to her beauty.Mine was pretty easy in comparison but Lauren still worked her magic with amazing ease which astounds me. I have gotten so many compliments on the style she chose for me.I very highly recommend them to everyone with no qualms. I will be a return customer.

Jennifer was amazing! She gave me a bang trim and gave my babe a haircut and a beard trim. We both look and feel awesome!!!She works quickly without rushing. We both felt well taken care of and we cant wait to go back. I highly recommend Dockside Salon!

My daughter (2.5 yo) was getting her first hair cut and we decided on Dockside Salon as we were new to the area. I couldnt have imagined a better experience. Seanna was phenomenal with my daughter. Being new to the area it was nerve racking to find a hair dresser that knows exactly what I wanted and needed. I came in with long straw hairs and copper orange tones, and came a out with gorgeous tones that I never knew my dark hair could do. Mackenzie knows what she’s doing! From the moment I sat down, she was very sweet and just asked what I was looking for. Did her magic, and boom happiness. I highly recommend this place for its ambiance, fun location (across the marina), amazing prices for the services they do, and for beautiful results. Which after getting my hair done for over a decade, varies from hair to hair. I will continue to come here :) thanks Dockside!

Went to Dockside for a pedicure. The salon itself is warm and inviting, very modern and chic too. Mackenzie did an awesome job with my pedicure. Jen the owner came over to talk with me after, which I thought was top notch in customer service. I will definitely be back.

Lovely owners were willing to do me an absolute solid and cut my hair on a Sunday before I had to fly out for a business trip! Lakeside location boasts lots of new equipment and is the envy of all upstart salons. Very clean & sleek. Hair, manicure, pedicure, massage, everything you need all in one spot. Leave looking like a million bucks, spend way less than that and walk down the street to the Emporium or the Tavern and spend your savings on treats! Great new business with a great staff and a wealth of knowledge. Very competitive prices. Give them a shot!

Dockside Salon is the best place to get a haircut in Muskegon, Michigan. A Local favorite as Jen, the owner, has a genuine care and passion for everyone that walks through her doors. She also helps a local beard club, so the place is both guy and girl welcoming and friendly. My family has a lot of love for Dockside and genuinely recommend this place!

This has been my favorite place to get my haircut due to the fact the haircut looks like the picture I show them. Ive tried a lot of places in Muskegon county through the years for guy haircuts. This is my favorite hands down.

I went here on April 4th, after finally saving much of my hard earned money, so my daughter and I could have a girls day and get our hair done. I waited YEARS to get my hair done. I wanted a red color, same color I got a few years back. It was perfect after Mackenzie got done. I was sooo in love. Such a nice, vibrant red-brown color, and the perfect cut. My daughter got a little trim and some mermaid color. She was in love as well! I paid a total of $170 - $12 for my daughters trim, $30 for her hair color, $28 for my cut and $75 for color and I left her with a $25 tip! I was told before my daughters color was put in that it would only last 1-2 weeks, which I was aware of, but glad that they reminded me. Here we are, only 2 weeks after I got my hair done, and it continues to wash out at every wash! Even when I washed it last night, the water and bubbles were pink on the bottom of the tub, and the towel I used to dry my hair was pink after I used it. This never happened to me the last time I got it colored, or even the time before that. I have been asking different people if they had their color wash out like this, some that get their hair done regularly, and some that dont. They dont use professional products after the color is put it, and they dont have it wash out like mine is. So, when I contact them through Facebook, they tell me this, Unfortunately sometimes red colors tend to fade more than other colors, especially if you arent using professional products for aftercare. Hot water and hot tools can also play a part in fading. There are a lot of factors that can play a part in a color fading, especially reds. Its difficult to guarantee a color will last when we dont know what products youre using/other factors after you leave here. Im very sorry that happened! Not ONCE when I was there was I warned that this color may fade quicker because that is what reds do. Not ONCE when I was there was I told that I should be using professional products afterward. Not ONCE when I was there was I told that hot water OR tools can play a part in fading. And Im shocked with the assumptions that I wasnt using professional products, or that I used hot tools in my hair, since they do not know what I do in my personal life. The only time any hot tool was used in my hair was when I was there, and the stylist straightened it. No, I did not use professional products afterward, but I never have, and neither had any of the friends I have asked, and their hair doesnt wash out within 2 weeks. I even asked my cousin, who is a hair stylist, and she said what they say is somewhat true, but shouldnt rinse out like it is. She says, Yes!! I always give a thorough consultation for red!! I always tell them what to expect, and it shouldnt be rinsing out like thatVery disappointed something couldnt be done about this afterward. Unfortunately, this has probably scared me away from trusting anyone with my hair or money again. I hope with future customers, if they dont know or believe a color will stick very long in someones hair, that they tell them upfront, or if they dont want to tell them, not accept the tip, and maybe give them a break on the price since it wont last long. Again, I worked sooo hard for all that money, since we are a single income family, and I waited sooo long to get my hair done (Ive been planning this since April 2017, it is now April 2018) and I literally get to watch my dollars wash down the drain at every wash. No offer to fix it or to at least give me back some of the money I paid towards the color. Very disappointed, and will go elsewhere next time (if there is a next time).
