Kelly is very good at determining the best haircut and color!! Of course because of this she is not always available due to high demand, however she will be honest with you about the other stylist that work at The Cutting Edge Salon that are taking on new clients. The other thing that impressed me about this Salon is that they are truly doing their part to follow the covid-19 guidelines.

Some the owner, runs a friendly yet professional shop. Service and quality are top-notch. Prices are VERY reasonable too. Cuts and styles for men, women, and children. Great family venue or beauty venue for ladies.

I really like this place, the stylists are friendly, fun, and of course good at what they do. Its a fun but relaxing atmosphere. Do wish the chairs were a little less hard, but luckily you dont wait very long. Oh, and the prices are pretty much the same as most places.

I called as soon as salons were opening up during covid. I explained that I needed a color correction due to on line hair color I had ordered as well as the previous hair stylist dis boor understand when I told her my hair pulls orange when putting in blonde.Dawn was amazing she colored my hair beautifully!!! I get so many compliments on my hair!!!I recommend her for all your hair color needs, blonde, all over color, and especially fashion colors!!

Went here to get a little quality control on my hair color. Alayna did exactly what I needed! I am super happy with the results and the service I received. Will most likely come back when I need to.

Excellent and professional staff. For the people who give 1 star because they wouldnt cut your hair last minute at closing time... try to set up an appointment. It always runs smoother and everyone is happy. The ladies that work here do an excellent job with staying on schedule and doing their very best. Id close too. They work tireless hours hanging over our heads, one snip at a time, and standing on a concrete surface while doing so. They have families as well and if their like me, watch that clock just waiting on it to be over. The last thing they want is someone to roll up 7 to 30 minutes till closing. Wake up. Their schedule doesnt involve a week of wait time either so good luck finding somewhere else that can deliver the quality, fast get in time, and fair pricing they do. Geez.

I really enjoyed the capabilities of the stylists compared to the other salon Ive previously been going to. The staff was friendly and caring. The atmosphere was realized and comfortable. I scheduled for a haircut (trimming up my short hair) and was out witin 15-20 minutes. They do talk walk-ins but I recommend booking in advance. It takes 2 minutes and saves you the stress, assuming you have the time to schedule.

The stylist are really good. Theyre really friendly, the place is clean. The prices comparable. The chairs in the waiting area, kinda horrible.

In town visiting. Pulled in the parking lot 17 minutes before their 5 p.m. closing time on Saturday afternoon. The girl in the shop came to the door as we were getting out of our car and locked the front door. My son walked to the door. While he did, the young lady inside looked at him, then turned off the lights, then turned her back and walked to the back of the store. I have no idea why she was closing early on a Saturday afternoon. The haircut would have taken 7 minutes tops. I dont like being that guy who comes in 5 minutes before closing in a restaurant and orders a 35 to 45 minute meal. This, however, was different, and the service was not offered. Cannot recommend against strongly enough.

Mandy is very skilled! Shes also very nice and easy to work with. I feel really lucky to have found her when I moved to Murray!

I have high praises for AMY BECAUSE SHE DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON MY THIN, LONG HAIR. I CAME FROM A FAMILY THAT HAS ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR HAIR LONG. AS I HAVE GOTTEN OLDER I WAS WANTED MY DARK HAIR TO BE HIGHLIGHTED IN A WAY AS MY MY GRAY HAIR POPPED BACK UP IT WOULD BE A BLENDED LOOK. I HAVE BEEN TO AMY FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW AND EACH TIME I GO SHE LISTENS TO ME AND WE FINALLY GOT MY HAIR IN A HIGHLIGHTED, LAYERED LOOK THAT COMPLIES WITH MY AGE AND WISHES.SHE TOOK A PIC AND I HOPE SHE POSTS IT. AS OLDER WOMEN WE STILL WANT TO LOOK YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL TOO AND SHE MADE ME FEEL AS BEAUTIFUL AS HER HAIR WAS. SOMETIMES I THINK SOME HAIRDRESSER WANT TO GIVE OUR AGE GROUP THE SAME LOOK AND WE ARE ALL SO VERY DIFFERENT. I THINK THE HAIRDRESSERS LISTEN AND WORK WITH YOU EVERY VISIT. WE ARE LIKE A BLANK CANVAS WHEN WE GO TO THE SALON AND THEY ARE THE ARTIST. THROUGH OUR EXPLANATIONS AND THEIR PERSISTENT THEY ACHIEVE THE PERFECT PHOTO. Very great and friendly. Im sorry I cant remember the name of my stylist but she was back on the left. They were able to size me in without an appointment on short notice. This may not be the norm but I really appreciate it. Ill go back next time I need a cut.

Got a color and cut by Alayna (I only know her name because it was on her station she never told me her name) not very long ago. TERRIBLE!!!! She fried my hair, the highlights were not to my scalp like still 1-2 inches of my natural was showing, and there was splotches all over by head. The cut was very uneven and choppy. The back wasn’t straight at all JUST TERRIBLE!! Went to another salon to get it fixed. Hair was past my shoulders when I went in to see Alayna....now it’s above my shoulders with short layers because of how bad she fried it and how bad the cut was. She was very rude as well!! Not friendly at all. Called to talk to someone and they were very rude and didn’t seem to care that she had messed up my hair. DO NOT GO HERE!! They will fry your hair and cut it uneven!!

Rarely disappointed when leaving. A few of the younger women are a bit hit or miss when it comes to quality, but Dawn and Martha are pretty spot on. Usually a child or two hanging around, but theyre not too distracting. Make sure to set up an appointment, because they rarely have time for walk-ins. Definitely worth a visit.

I moved to Murray in July and this was my 1st visit to any salon in the area and it will be the only salon I will go to. I will make sure to make an appt next time( I didnt know this was that type of salon😬) but I absolutely love my hairstyle

I always get good cuts at The Cutting Edge! Mandi is our favorite, we always go to her and she does a great job! Walk ins are allowed and their prices are reasonable.

My daughter is a freshman student at Murray State. She made an appointment at the Cutting Edge for highlights and a trim. She was told it depended on her hair length and thickness. Well today she sent me a picture of her hair and what the cost was! She was charged $93 for a trim and overall highlights! Unbelievable! When I called and spoke to the manager, Dawn, she said that normal starting price for highlights is $50 and that my daughters hair was long. My daughters hair is shoulder length and a little thick. Her response was Im sorry you feel that way and that was it! Hopefully many people will read this and not go to the Cutting Edge in Murray! Highway robbery and definitely took advantage of her!

Dawn always does a great job cutting my hair. Wont go anywhere else. You dont mess with fantastic. Try it. Youll love it.

**DO NOT GO HEREI came in thinking i would leave with my split ends trimmed, but I was proven wrong. I came into the salon thinking that the woman cutting my hair at least had a slight clue what she was doing - considering she had her license - but I think my dog could have done a better job. I have NEVER EVER had such an awful haircut. It looked like a beaver knawed at the ends of my hair. again, DO NOT GO HERE.

My haircuts have always been very nice. The hair dressers do an amazing job of layering, and thinning, but just all the way around cutting. I, myself, was very impressed! 😊

Walk-ins are obviously not welcome! Walked in half an hour before they close nobody in their chairs and was obviously not interested in taking my money. I have an undercut my haircut takes 10 minutes -tops. Wont go here again if you took me at gunpoint

Walk in one hour and 5 mins before closing. Two ladies at the counter and no one else there. They said they were booked up for rest of the day. There were only three names on sign in sheet. Apparently they dont want any business. Would never go back in there. Murray really needs a Great Clips because would put them out of business.

Never saw this cheap stuff since 2000!!! Waste of money!!! And they were so rude about the result!!! Youll get used to it was their respond!!! Repeat, DO NOT GO!!

They dont know how to cut mens hair. They cant do a fade, they only shaved one of my sideburns, and both sides of my hair are very different. I cant speak for womens hair but I will never go back.

Prices are typical, but the basic services differ a lot in quality between stylists. Ive always given the same instructions to each stylist with varying degrees of success and interpretation.

This salon for me as a walk in was horrible came in at 915am and was told by owner there wasnt a opening till noon for a haircut proceeded to ask owner why so long are you short on stylists she said no she had 7 on duty really need to have a great clips in this community for people such as myself with a busy schedule who know how to meet demands of the public and busy schedules

I had always called and made appointments for me and my grandchildren hair. I know they stay extremely busy. I called and scheduled an appointment to get my hair cut. My appt was 230 I got there at 220. At 245 I still had not been called for a cut . But they had took 3 walkins . I heard the customers ask if they could get a cut and did not have an appt. One of the girls walked by me and said one of the other girls wouls cut my hair when she finished her client. I finally got tired of waiting and as I walked by desk to leave there were 3 available girls sitting. One filing her nails and 2 on the phone. I heard them say earlier Kim was off that day so i.am.sure this is why they werent interested in cutting anyones hair. We have now found a new facility to go to.
