I particularly worked with salesman, Mr. Jose Flores throughout this time. He is an honest man that was extremely helpful during the process of finding the right vehicle for me. He is very knowledgeable but provides the detailed information in an easy to understand and calm manner. I highly recommend getting a vehicle from this location. Ugh. I love the people at Tarr Hyundai. Not only have both my mother and I purchased vehicles from here in the past but so have other family and friends. I just recently went with my best friend to help her find her first vehicle and they helped her out so well that she drove off the lot with something that even I couldnt get. They are so friendly and so helpful.
The last new car that my wife and I purchased was over 3 decades ago. Not because of cost, but because of the shady wheeling and dealing and run around and stereotypical behaviour that car dealers are known for.Our experience at Tarr Hyundai was amazing. The staff were professional, yet down to earth, friendly, respectful and considerate. The deal was fair and flexible. Sejdi is a tremendous salesman and a fine young man, however he refused to share his carrot cake with me :)We would absolutely buy from Tarr Hyundai again and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great car-buying experience.
Let me tell you. I have been to several car dealerships to look at some new cars. And I cant think of anywhere else to buy a car then Tarr Hyundai. I called about a car, and Brian Cosby did an amazing job finding the car (thay literally came off of the truck that morning) and went, and took, and sent me pictures of the car. Amazing service and professional. I went to go take a hands on look at the car and since he wasnt going to be there, so he recommended I talked to Chad Damron. Both of these gentlemen knew I was not going to buy a car that day, but I wanted to see it before I made my decision. And neither of these men pushed for me to buy on the spot, which is how I prefer. They answered all my questions to the best of thier knowledge. Hands down what professionalism and customer service is. I can hardly wait to come back in next few weeks to hopefully purchase my new car from them. I highly recommend this Hyundai location, and these salesman.

The customer service is exceptional. They are not pushy. If you ask them a question they provide an answer. I highly recommed Tarr Hyundai if your looking for a new or used vehicle.
Just overall not happy with our experience.Buying the car they had the price listed wrong. It’s been weeks just trying to locate my tag because they said they sent it to one location.. wasn’t there. Then said they sent it to another location and it’s not there either. Never had to go to so much trouble… found my tag and find out I can’t get it because they never sent the check for the tag. I am still waiting to hear back from someone there.Really need to get their stuff together
The sales lady was awesome, financial lady no so! I went a few miles down the road got a used car with low mileage in my payment range at Morristown Honda.
Have not been able to get consistent communication from them via email. Original inquiry about pricing took nearly 5 days to receive a quote. The quote didn’t match what was reported online and the particular model I was interested in sold because of the delayed communication. Asked who I could be matched up with to speed up the process, but received no response. Not sure if the team is understaffed, they prefer not to deal via email, etc.
Edited: In response to your generic comment below: Would love to call and chat but your GM told us that she did not want to talk to us on the phone or in person. In fact, when we came to pick up our refund (that she was trying not to give us) we had to go to your Chevrolet dealership instead of the Hyundai dealership to do so. You *talk* a good game online where everyone can read this...but your management is incredibly rude and unprofessional. So...this review still stands where it is at. My neighbors also just had the very same experience with your Chevy dealership being shady and extremely rude, as well as not repairing her vehicle and you lost a sale of a new SUV there too.Previous review: Very unprofessional. Tarr did not have the SUV we initially wanted when we came at the beginning of the month and they said they may have one coming in on their truck in May. We put $1000 cash deposit down DID NOT SIGN ANY PAPERWORK and we were told not to drive our SUV we were trading in over 50,000 miles because the trade in value would go down. We looked up prices and realized we were being way over charged for a Limited Palisade at $51k and we said for that price we at least wanted the Calligraphy. We got the run around for the last week, calling and calling with no call back. We have 3 kids and we got word that we need to go pick up a baby that we are adopting in FL so we can not wait for the SUV until May or July. We even gave them the opportunity to find one elsewhere and ship it to them. The GM said she could NOT get one elsewhere. We decided to look elsewhere for a vehicle because we need one before Wednesday. We called to get our deposit back and the GM told us we had to wait until May when this SUV that she ordered for us gets in. She did not order it for us...it was already scheduled to be coming in on the truck. We had settled unless she could find us a Calligraphy. She was being rude giving us a hard time, telling us that she was not giving us our money back until May because she could not sell the Palisade coming in on the truck in May. Another lie...since it was already coming on the truck before we even asked for one. And then she hung up on my husband. He called back again, letting them know we are leaving a bad review and we are not happy with the GM hanging up on us. Then her story magically changed that she could see if she could find us another one, when we asked her earlier today she said that was NOT possible to get another one elsewhere. Now that we want our $1000 cash back she can magically find us another SUV elsewhere?? Lies. This dealership is so shady and does not care about their customers. If she had not been rude at this point we MAY have considered still getting a vehicle from them. My husband was not rude to her until she hung up on him and started mocking him when he was asking her when we could get our refund. She was also instigating my husband who was getting angry on the phone by mocking what he was saying over and over (my husband is ex military and has PTSD...really professional GM you have, Tarr Hyundai). She told us to come down tomorrow (Sunday..knowing they are closed just to irritate him further). I could continue to go on..but I am just going to file a complaint at this point with BBB and whoever else I have to. If you want to get a vehicle from them I suggest you wait to put a deposit down on what they *may* magically get on their truck. Or better yet, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
Super nice non pushy sales person Jose. Met the price we wanted and was a great experience overall. The Lifetime Warranty was not a bad selling point also. The same vehicle was at CarMax for more money no warranty.
I cant say enough good things about the lady in the service department, Roxanne. Having dealt with her a couple of time, trying to troubleshoot issues with a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz of my moms. Having an elderly mother in a different town sometimes makes it difficult to handle issues when they arise. Roxanne has helped me on a couple of occasions schedule service for my moms car and get it fixed. I have been very happy with the service I have received at Tarr Hyundai. Thank you Roxanne, and thank you Tarr service department.

My experience with Tarr Hyundai is a perfect example of why car dealers have such a bad reputation. I had them do an oil change and tire rotation prior to a long trip. There was a lot of rain on my trip. Hydroplaning was extensive. When I reached my destination I noticed my tires were not rotated at all, I was just charges for it. I ended up having to buy a new set of Michelin tires while out of town. The Hankook tires that were on the car when purchased new from Tarr Hyundai were junk at less than 30,000 miles. Service department was not interested in a resolution to the matter.I continue to receive advertising from them. When I called the phone number on the current advertising, it was no longer in service. When I contacted them by chat through their website. I informed them of the number being out of service. The responding chat provided the same number to call and asked if there is anything else they can help me with. I then asked to chat with a person and was assured it is a real person. Then the chat session continued to attempt setting an appointment and before even finishing reading the latest chat it closed and wanted a review by smiley face.This is all artificial intelligence responding to real inquiries from customers. Customer service is going, going, gone.

DOOO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Also they lie about warranty. July of 2020 I bought a used 2016 Subaru wrx from them and the NEXT day I went back and I told them something was wrong with the driving (it was sputtering and didn’t have the power it should) they told me it was because it was a automatic.. I kno I’m a woman and I don’t know much about cars but I do know how cars should drive. One of the reasons why I bought this car was because the sales man told me it had a lifetime warranty as long as I had the car and it had a paper saying it had a warranty. I brought my car in for a oil change and for them to look at it back in December I believe, and they said “they don’t work on Subarus and they didn’t know what was wrong but something deff was wrong and I should have Subaru look at it) Well in January of 2021 I was out and about driving with my 3 month old son and the check engine light kept going on and off and a bunch of other lights and we were abt to go from a red light and i hit the gas and there was enough power for my car to limp over 3 lanes of traffic into a parking lot then the whole car shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. The next day I called tarr and told them about what happened and they told me there was no warranty even though I had a paper saying dealer warranty. Tarr had to call over to a diff dealership I guess for them to look in their computer system and it said it did have a warranty so they had me bring it to Subaru so they could look at it. But they wanted Subaru to break down the whole engine before they covered it under the warranty. The Subaru dealership told me the car already had 2 engines put in it before I got it. I had the car less than 6 months and it broke. The fact that I brought it back the next day and said something was wrong with it makes me upset they wouldn’t do anything and then the car breaks down with my 3 month old and they still wouldn’t do anything.. horrible!DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!

We found a vehicle there (online) that we had been looking for locally and he provided detailed photos and information to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process making us feel confident about taking the 4 hour drive to complete the purchase. I would definitely recommend Brian and the Tarr Dealership.

Absolutely do NOT recommend this dealer.Long story short, I needed a cheap car for work and a family member recommended them as we knew someone that worked there and they have a referral program where you’re supposed to get a $50 gift card if you refer someone and they purchase a vehicle from them. My family member had purchased a truck from them in the past and referred me to them. So I Drove almost 2 hours out of my way and bought the car when I could’ve bought the same car 10 minutes away for less money. The process was simple and easy but after buying I found out they included several fees I was not aware about and my family member never received the gift card because they “cut so much off the price”. Well, they had another vehicle listed online about a year later I liked and figured they might’ve changed. I called and spoke with the salesman, discussed the vehicle with them, and made sure they were aware that I was seriously interested in the car but the only way I would buy it was if they would negotiate with me on the price and they assured me they would and it would be no big deal. Well after work that day, we headed over there to look at it and had full intentions on bringing it home. After looking over and driving the vehicle we decided we wanted it and started the paperwork. Their first offer on the car was almost $3000 over the asking price of the car, I understand the taxes and fees But it wasn’t even close to what we discussed over the phone. I also previously bought a $55k truck and didn’t pay anywhere near that in taxes or fees on it. I instantly told them that was not gonna happen and said I’d pay full asking price for the car out the door as my first offer, the salesman refused to even take it to Charity The so called “General Manager” and told me to write it down as he didn’t want to offer that to her. After he came back from the “Manager” he had another paper and they came down $16. I had the cash on me to pay for the car and had just drove almost 2 hours after a 12 hr shift and already discussed the price of the car over the phone and was amazed I was even dealing with this. After seeing the 2nd offer I laughed, got up, and thanked them for their help and walked out. The salesman said I ticked off the general manager and she was just mad. I do not think this was appropriate or acceptable in anyway. After leaving, the next day the salesman tried calling my girlfriend to talk me into coming back to purchase the car and told her to have me call him. I called him and discussed the car again but at that point I was not interested in the car at any price and will never be back as long as Charity is still there. I also attempted calling the Owner to personally share my experience and after about a week of attempts I finally received a call back from him. I explained the situation and told him I was not pleased by this and did not appreciate the way Charity handled herself over an offer on a vehicle at her job. He basically wouldn’t speak about Charity’s childish and inappropriate behavior and was basically more concerned on how to get me back down there to get the car. I also told him about the first experience I had by my family member never receiving their referral gift card, I realize it was just $50 but it was the principal of it. He said he would look into it and make things right. I have waited a month and have never received anything to make it right. Since then, I have been HIGHLY recommending people go elsewhere to purchase vehicles and thus far have successfully turned away roughly 10 potential customers they may have and will continue to do so until something is done. This place is nothing but a Scam and apparently they take their job too seriously if they take a Vehicle offer offensive. I will NEVER be back and neither will any of my friends, family, or anyone else I know that’s looking to purchase a vehicle. Steer clear of this joke.

They had 3 to choose from, all in great condition. David and Cole, was straight forward with pricing and trade values on my trade,(in clear written form) and I appreciate that. After purchasing a brand new 2020 Sonota. We have put only 6000 miles on it we have already had the fuel pump replaced and the computer checked twice due to the car not starting within the first three months of ownership. Also when the fuel pump died we had to wait a day and a half to get a rental. (My wife and kid was driving the car when it went out) Lastly we have had the car checked because the car acts like it will die going uphill for a extended time when driving. Which of course this location says nothing is wrong with the car (but I know for a fact the reason it acts like its dying is because of the gear ratios being too wide in the last gear.) Last thing which is what has pushed me over the edge is I called today to ask about my tire pressure light being on, (one wheel was at 31 psi while the others were sitting at 33) I spoke to the lady in the service department and when I explained the situation her response was, well you will have to bring it in and let hyandai look at it so being as curious as I was about the quality of this location I decided to call Knoxville Hyundai, best service I have received by a hyundai dealership, I was explained by a lady in Knoxville that the tires should be at 35.5 psi and when filled to that pressure if I drove for two miles the light should go off. And it worked. I didnt have to waste my time going to this location and spending a hour just to be told nothing is wrong.
I will never go here again for any kind of service. They cant find out whats wrong with my car and have told me about 3-4 different stories. They wont reimburse for anything they say they will. I will never be buying another Hyundai again because of the poor service with Hyundai period.

Sooo I am 1000 plus miles from home and my Hyundai’s Alternator goes out. I am driving all night from Pa trying to get to Houston Texas. After driving all night at 4:30 am my car has its first issue in 125,000 miles. The tow truck driver brings my car to Tarr Hyundai and at 6 am I meet SAM, my hero.He walks out side in the 33 degree weather to talk to the tow driver and invites me in from the cold to wait at 6 am in the morning. I tell him I have driven all night and Sam tells me he is making coffee and I can sleep on the couch.Tarr Hyundai is AMAZING.Sam wakes me up and tells me I should be back on the road around 2. AMAZING.If you are going to be stranded 1000 miles from home with a car issue; you have to have a car issue near Tarr Hyundai!If there were 6 STARS, I would give them 6 STARS.Kimberly Hangs

I was in Morristown over the Christmas holiday to see family. I live in Charleston, SC. My engine light came on my current vehicle and thought I may be time to pull the trigger on a new vehicle. I visited Tarr and was assisted by Roxanne and it was an awesome experience! Felt very welcomed and was not hard sold into something just for the sale. She took the time to show me different options at my pace and comfort level.My current vehicle only needed a small sensor change so Im delaying the new purchase until summer but after working with Roxanne and Tarr, I see myself coming back to give my business!

Charity is the best! We bought from Tarr Chevrolet when she was finance manager there and she has always done her best to get our payments where we need them no matter what. We started our Car search at several Kia/Hyundai dealerships within a 50 mile radius of Strawplains where we live. My husband, myself and our future daughter in law(Christy) were looking to buy. We decided to drive to Morristown and check out Tarr Hyundai. My husband being the bargain shopper that he is, decided to look at a few more dealerships. Well, I fell in love with the Hyundai Tuscon at Tarr and my awesome salesman Sejdi. He told us he was 3 weeks new there but his professionalism and personality spoke volume to us. After I test drove the Tuscon and Christy drove a Hyundai Elantra we went in and met Charity and Greg-2 more awesome Tarrrepresentatives. When we walked in, I felt like we all previously knew each other because they were SO friendly. We left there, went and test drove several other Kia’s/Hyundai’s but my heart was at Tarr. My husband got all his figures together and the rest is history. Nobody could compare to the price, the personable treatment we received. We left there with the 2020 Tuscon for me and Christy left with her 2020 Elantra. While we were signing our contracts the owner came in to the office and he truly was genuine and humble. This was hands down the best experience with a repair shop ever. Big HUUUUUUGGGE THANKS TO Dawn in service for her excellent customer service skills and overall just a GREAT PERSON. Shes fair, informative, and though she represents Hyundai she is definitely an advocate for the customer. My bill was almost 600 and I never felt happier to hand over that kind of money...further more i cant stay outta my car. She runs like the day I bought it brand new. I had went to Nissan next door and was very disappointed with their lack of service. I left and pulled in at Hyundai and was welcomed in the door to find out they had just closed. But they didnt care they told me they were there to help me . They introduced me to Tim and he was great. I have never had such a down to earth sales person. He was more interested in my needs and wants than trying to get me to buy something more expensive. He found out what i wanted and what i could afford and between him and the manager they got me exactly what I wanted and worked and got the price where i needed it. Then Charity the finance manager got my paperwork done and was very down to earth and nice. This was the best experience of buying a car i could have asked for.Thank you all very much.

This is a GREAT place to buy a car. My son and his wife asked me to rude with them to look at some new cars wished this had been there first stop. The sales staff was great no preasure, the sales manager gave a good deal first go around but came over and made a deal they couldnt walk away from. If your looking for a new car or used car this should be your first stop!!!!!!!!
I bought a 2007 Ford Edge here a little over a month ago. I’ve had no problems and the sales people were the best! Made sure I was comfortable with the sale the whole time!

The sales lady was wonderful I dealt with but when the offer got to the finance manager things went south. He was very arrogant and condescending. Because of his lack of respect and demeaning comments I took my business and bought 3, yes I was in the market for 3 cars, elsewhere.

Ive been a customer of this dealership for several owners, bought my current car there back in 15 with regular oil changes. I cannot blame the new owners for this as they were just buying this dealership on my last oil change, but who ever over tightened my oil pan plug needs a lesson is mechanics again. I had to use a bolt extractor kit just to remove it. Completely ridiculous, was to damn tight. I will not be using their service department again.
I have had my Hyundai Elantra serviced at Tarr Hyundai for the past year or so and have not had any problems. The service is great!
