I brought my car to Mavis on Morris St, because I had a slow leak in my tire. Bill was able to determine I needed a new tire. Unfortunately, I was driving 300 miles in 2 days and the tire needed to be ordered. Bill was able to get the tire the next day, and the price was better than what I had previously paid at the dealership for tires on the same car. I really appreciated the fast service and great follow up. Bill and the rest of the staff where friendly and professional. I will continue to use Mavis on Morris st. and, I will also recommend there service.

Visited this location based off of positive reviews online and was very happy with the service. Dropped my car off Friday evening, had all the brakes and rotors replaced, oil changed and tires rotated. The car was ready for pick up mid day Sat as expected. Will definitely go back and recommend this location to friends in the area.

While walking to my car one day after work something catches my eye. It’s a beat up old screw and just so happens this screw is entrenched directly in to my tire. While I may not be Jeff Gordon I know that this needs to be fixed sooner rather than later. I take it to Mavis for them to take a look. My man Mark absolutely saved me hundreds of dollars. He went above and beyond what I paid for and couldn’t be happier. Heads up Tom Brady and Michael Jordan there can only be one GOAT and Mark over at Mavis next to the morristown diner is coming for your crown.

Highly recommend this place. Courteous, professional and very efficient. I was surprised how quickly they’ve done the flat tire service. Both Mark and Tyler are great and helpful.

I normally do not write reviews however this was the second time in a short period of time that I experienced a tire issue after probably going 10 years without a flat. Service was professional and timely both times but most importantly honest (provided advice that a new tire was not needed and that good useful life still existed once repaired). Hopefully I won’t have a need for any more tire repairs soon, but on the unfortunate chance I do, I will certainly return to Mavis of Morristown.

We were towing on 288 when we blew a tire. We were safe and able to get to a tire store. The staff at the shop were right there to help. They were able to jack us up and get on our spare. They didnt even charge us a penny. Tipped the workers and drove away. Great service and customer service.Thanks mavis!!

I had a truly wonderful experience at Mavis on Morris Street. I had just received new tires for my car from a different place and today a low tire pressure signal came on in my car. I went to Mavis and the employee immediately took a look at it to see what was going on. He discovered the tires had too much air in it, so he put them at the right level. He also adjusted the system in my car so the notice wasnt coming on anymore. I offered to pay, but he refused. I was really impressed with the quick service and kind employee who fixed my problem in less than 10 minutes!

Brought in a tire recently with a screw in it -- Manager Mark said thats on us, just take care of the tech. So I did, gratefully. And I also donated my screw to the exhibit jar, next to the candy jar on the counter. Then, when I need two new tires courtesy NYC potholes, and it wasnt quite as easy a fix, they did an outstanding job accommodating my urgency, and Im rolling again. They do it all, great operation, great location.

We arrived late afternoon Saturday 4/27 for a wedding in Morristown only to find our wheel well was smoking due to a problem with the brakes. We were in a bit of a panic worrying about being able to find an open shop on a Sunday morning. NO NEED TO WORRY. Kerry opened at 9 a.m. promptly, was friendly, patient, and professional. He got the parts we needed in the time it took us to eat breakfast and had us on the road by noon!! SUPERHERO!! P.S. While we were there a woman stopped by with coffee and donuts for the shop. I overheard her thanking Kerry profusely for helping her in the same way he was helping us. Someone give this man a raise.

I purchased new tires for my car here. Beware, I was told my car needed two front lower control arms before a wheel alignment could be preformed. I am knowledgeable mechanically so I had doubts and declined the repair and when I picked up my car I drove strait to my mechanics who put the car on the lift and showed me there was no front end suspension problem. In fact, they had replaced one of the lower control arms last spring!

I had unexpected trouble with my car and just showed up. They were booked and still made time to look at my car, found the problem and fixed it. I was in and out with in a half hour. They were extremely friendly, accomodating, and helpful. Highly recommend going here!! They were great!!

Mark, Bill, and team continue to be my go-to for any vehicle issues. Had a sudden problem this morning, and was back in the drivers seat same day. Doesnt get any better.

Took my car there to get all 4 tires changed out. That part was done OK. The issue came that all 4 tires were leaking air. I brought the car back 3 or 4 times to get checked and it never solved the problem. I took it to someone else and they did the same soap spray check and found leaks on all 4 tires. The initial leak is one thing, but the lack of follow up responsibility was disappointing. The new place confirmed the rims were never properly cleaned up prior to sealing the new tire.

Excellent experience all around. This Mavis location is one of the last bastions of honest, small business, mom-and-pop type service. They will repair your car as if it’s their own, and will only recommend service that’s absolutely necessary to ensure safe operation of your vehicle. Mark, Bill, and Glann are an all-star team. One of the best auto repair service experiences Ive had in a long time! Bill was super helpful, informative, and patient. I was having issues with my cars A/C and brought it in to get the problem inspected. Turns out after their careful inspection, there were no found issues. Bill drove the car around with me to ensure there truly wasnt anything wrong, and was very honest about zero work needing to be done. He asked me if I agreed and if I felt comfortable with their decision, which I did! Overall, I was impressed by their professionalism and willingness to help! Definitely will return!

The Morristown Mavis Store # 232 was phenomental. I woke up this morning to a completely flat tire. This location was extremely kind, patient, and did an excellent job to replace my tire within an hour. Should I have any more needs for my car I will absolutely be returning to this location and recommend that others do the same.

Will soon be turning in my BMW 3 series lease and was told by the dealership that all 4 tires were below spec and needed to be replaced for a whopping $1,200. As an alternative I found out that Amazon not only sold what I needed at a lower price but also sends the tires to the store of your choosing to be assembled. Morristowns Mavis Discount Tire happened to be the closest option for me so I went ahead and took the plunge. Kerry the stores sales associate was super cool and everything was done in a few hours. Would definitely visit this place again if need be.

My car tire was having trouble holding air. It wasn’t flat but I had run over a screw. I took my car in and Bill helped me out at the front desk. After making an appointment online i was told to expect a three hour turnaround time which I was prepared for. Bill told me it’ll take an hour likely. They called me about 25 minutes later saying they patched it up. Kerry helped me at the desk when it was time to go. Both guys were so friendly and they don’t make you feel dumb like other mechanics do. Thank you guys I will definitely be back!

Good service but we are in stressful times. So they have a sign at the counter that says you must wear a mask. I’m sitting in the waiting room with my mask on and Kerry the man behind the counter has his mask on his chin a guy in the waiting room also has mask on chin a guy walks in no mask has a long conversation about his car and no one enforced the mask policy. They can and should do better for public safety 🧐

I am a frequenter of Mavis Discount Tire and have spent a great deal of money with them over the years but this was my first time visiting this location for more than just the free air. I called mid morning for an oil change / tire rotation even though busy they were willing to do my vehicle if I could leave it with them for the afternoon which wasnt going to be a problem. My oil change, tire rotation, and safety check was done in a timely manner regardless of how busy they were that day and my interaction with the staff was okay. I had some rattling / clunking in the rear which another Mavis location told me was my hatch during my last visit so I didnt mention it and had an appointment to finally have that looked at after I got the oil change taken care of. There was a recalled part on the hatch so I figured they must have been right. So now fast forward to my appointment at the dealer, they took care of all my recalls and looked into the rattling / clunking noise. Turns out that rattling / clunking noise was not in fact the hatch but my rear shock absorbers, coil springs, and stabilizer links are all at fault and was told my vehicle is in a dangerous condition to drive. I checked my receipt from Mavis and it has shocks listed as one of the items included in that safety check. Unfortunately, I do not know much about the inner workings of cars or what the advertised safety check includes but the idea that my car passed a safety check preformed on it and I am now being told by someone else my car is unsafe to drive is very concerning to me and makes me believe that said safety check was not in fact preformed because they were too busy that day. Knowing I have had my rear shocks done on this car before at a different Mavis location, I dove back into my receipt file to see how long ago that was. I find it... now over to my best friend Google... rear shock absorbers should last at least 50,000 before needing replacing based on how often I drive, the distance and type of roads I drive on.... I have gone about 30,000.I wasnt going bring it up initially but noticed another google review touching this topic and felt it was important for those who may be immunocompromised and are looking to have a vehicle repaired. I did notice proper mask etiquette was not being enforced while I stood at the counter being helped as one of the employees sitting at the front desk did not have his fully covering his nose and mouth and there is no plexiglass installed to make that more acceptable.I really have enjoyed working with Mavis in the past due to their customer service, convince, and good pricing but am left feeling very frustrated, overwhelmed about where to turn next, and with a vehicle that is unsafe to drive.
