This is our local car shop and we come here for all of our needs. The team is so courteous and personable. They are timely and professional and we dont feel like were being cheated. Car work always seems like it costs so much. Here the feeling is that they price the parts and the work fairly. We always receive an explanation with a few different options of how we can tackle our situation.

Im usually quite apprehensive about taking my car for service because I always feel like Im being cheated or upcharged. However, I received personable, professional, and courteous service at AAMCO Morristown. I made an appointment online and it was confirmed within minutes. I dropped my car off in the morning and was able to pick it up later in the day. John and his team explained what my options were for the work that needed to be done and not once did I feel like I was being overcharged or taken advantage of. Transmission went out 800 miles from home, these guys let us sit in their waiting room for a good 4-5 hours. While we figured out how to get home while our van was in the shop, they helped us get in touch with a few car rental places... Dave and John were friendly and helpful from Go. Dave even drove us to a nearby hotel in the end... When our ride got here the next morning and needed a oil change they squeezed us in and got us in and out within 1 ½hrs.. .10/10 would go again

What a pleasant experience! The staff was knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. I felt the prices were reasonable. They even put a mat in my car to keep it clean. I realized my car had transmission issues. Took it to Robbies where I am taking all my family cars from the last 7 years to assess the issue and give me an estimate. After 3 days there they told me they could not fix my car and any work there would cost $2,500.00 or more. They recommended to me to dont work in the car.I knew they were not taking me seriously and they made some internal confusion.I took my car to AAMCO they treated me very well, gave me an direction for the car issue in 30 minutes and one day later my car was up and running for a services that cost $400.00.They replaced the cooling transition line that was linking and my car had not transmission oil.Excellent services and transparency!

My trucks transmission was acting up while out in Pittsburgh. I called this AAMCO hoping to get it fixed at home. Mark recommended I take it to the AAMCO in North Pittsburgh before making the trip, and good thing I did otherwise I’d have gotten stranded. Goes to show he’d rather see me go to another AAMCO than get stranded in the middle of nowhere. And who says there’s no trustworthy mechanics anymore?The AAMCO in North Pittsburgh has been great so far too. I’m sure I’ll be leaving them a 5 star review once they finish. I might be taking my truck to AAMCO for all my repairs from now on. I haven’t gotten that “shady mechanic vibe” from a single AAMCO employee. And many of their mechanics have been around a long time, which means they take care of their employees. And employees that are taken care of do good work.

Our car broke down several states away from home. We did not know anyone in this area. I found AAMCO on a google search. I called on a Sunday and the owner, Vince, had the business phone transferred to his cell phone since they are closed on Sundays. He knew we needed this vehicle looked at as soon as possible since we were suppossed to head back home the next day with the whole family. He made room in the schedule to check our vehicle the very first thing the next day. After doing a thorough check of our vehicle he called me back exactly as promised and described the problems exactly as we had experienced them, and told us what work needed to be done. He offered to fix the vehicle in a very timely manner, and when we consulted with our mechanic from our home town, he said the price was very reasonable. What surprised and pleased me was how sympathetic Vince was to our situation. He was very efficient and did everything he said he would do in the time frame and price he said it would be done in. He was excellent about keeping communication clear and on time. I really appreciated all of this. While my repair was not inexpensive and the timing was unfortunate, I would highly recommend this location to anyone with transmission problems. I felt he was honest and trustworthy and I really appreciated everything he did to help us.

Great Team, Great Shop and Great Price! Vince, Tom and the whole team are life savers. We broke down on the Interstate. A quick call to Vince and he sent a tow truck that hauled my Tahoe and Horse Trailer to his shop. He helped us get the trailer (with all my belongings) safe. It was the end of a busy work day and we had to move quickly. He arranged a great enterprise rental car and assured us he would call in the morning.I cant really say what happened, but by morning my Tahoe was working perfectly and the guys could not recreate the problem that left me on the interstate. Everything was pointing to an expensive transmission replacement. Vince called and told me nothing was wrong with my car. I needed a car inspection prior to buying a used Lexus RX350 2009. I called him up for a quote. The owner gave me a great price. He told me he would value me as a new customer. I told him Im from NY and wont be his customer. He still kept his word on the price.I strongly recommend his service for honesty and excellence in service. My car was jacked up. He did a very very thorough inspection. He pointed out the problem with leaking transmission pan gasket and worn out tires. This gave me a confidence in purchasing a 6 year old used vehicle. I knew what to expect. The owner also looked up reports from Lexus on recalls and recommended repairs. All I can say is that service was excellent. I would definitely use this shop for my future repair if I was living in the area.

First, I want to sincerely thank Vince at AAMCO, Morristown, NJ for generously helping my son and me, recently with an automotive nightmare. My son was driving one of our, newly acquired, family vehicles from our home to his college in PA, 300 miles +/-. In NJ the motor blew, classic loud bang and loss of oil. Having had exceptional experience with a couple of other AAMCO shops, I looked up the nearest one to where my son was broken down and called. I was quite certain that the car was not worth repairing, but had to do something with it. I spoke to Vince at AAMCO, and he was sincerely happy to help us out, also knowing that ultimately the car was going to be salvaged. Vince did not only make sure that my son was safe, comfortable, and cared for, but also facilitated in having the car junked and mailing me a check and the plates off of the car. I had to insist on Vince, at least keeping $10 for postage from the junk sale. He also gave my son and all his stuff a ride into town to wait more comfortable for a ride to school from his friends. Although Vince/AAMCO only confirmed the diagnosis of a blown motor, his sincerity and integrity are overwhelmingly apparent. Don’t believe the hype! I brung my car at this location & they inspect it and told me that my transmission have a internal defect when the whole time that information was false. I brung my car to another mechanic & the information they gave me was different. They tried ripping me off & wanted to charge me $129/ hourly for labor. Very expensive especially for a 07 Ford. I don’t trust them and to save someone life don’t go here they’re MONEY HUNGRY! Trust me!

Recently brought my SUV to AAMCO thinking I needed a major transmission overhaul. The owner spend a lot of time explaining the process to me and how they would go about determining if my transmission was bad. Best of all this diagnostic service was free of charge. It turns out I needed a simple sensor that cost a lot less and my car has been running fine since.. I will be back there for brakes soon!

Absolutely the worst transmission shop I’ve ever worked with. Paid for a diagnosis that was completely negligent. The managers offered paltry compensation for their errors.

We were gifting my wifes car to my son, and his new wife. They were moving from NJ to Seattle. After getting a tow hitch put on the car I found out that I needed to get an auxiliary transmission pump for the towing.Forget that the price for the work was very reasonable. Forget that the work was done on time, and the car was clean. To me the most important thing is the fact that Vince talked to my son. Spoke to him, and explained not only what he done, but how it works. Explained to him what to look for on trip. Explained what to lookout for, and not do on the trip. Finally when they get to Seattle what they should do so the car will last another 100K miles.Everything worked perfectly. They made it safely cross country. Thank you Vince, and all the people who work at AAMCO Morristown.

The transmission failed in my 1994 Honda Accord. I called here for a quote and found it to be slightly lower than majority of places I had checked. It was a big job ($2848 + tax) and the car was parked elsewhere so, to expedite things, Tom the manager arranged complimentary towing of my immobile vehicle to the shop, which was a nice convenience. I drove over in another car and found a corner shop with a small, bright waiting area for customers, with magazines, a clean restroom, and Keurig coffeemaker.The owner seemed knowledgeable and showed me some disassembled trannys, explaining how they operated and giving me more details about the repair process. I paid a $1k deposit and went home, feeling confident that my car would be in good hands. This was on a Wednesday and Tom called me that Friday afternoon to let me know my car was ready.As part of the service, they ask you to bring your car back 8-10 days later for a free inspection of the repair. Everything felt fine with my car but I returned it there anyway for the inspection, which took about 15 minutes. I received a coupon for a free oil change and 10% discount off a future repair. My car is running smoothly and I was very pleased with the service, so I will go back to this AAMCO again in the future.

Very fairly priced even for the tight budget of a college student like myself. The owner and the technicians there were very helpful and explain things to me in a way I could understand with out using a lot of technical terms to confuse me like i feel most other shops try to do. Their free multi point inspection service that they offer pointed out a couple very big safety concerns with my car which allowed me to have the repairs done before something bad happened. I have been back there about 3 times now with my car and will continue to go back i would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest repair shop

Can not say enough good things about my experience with this place and staff. Broken down 100 miles from home at the beginning of my work day I reached out to AAMCO based on a local area search of shops nearby. I knew in advance that this was my shifter cable and was looking for someone to trust me to give me an answer if they could get the part and get me out in the same day. When everyone else in the area turned me away or refused to care enough to help Ed went out of his way to hunt down my part and make sure it was at his location before I arrived via tow. Not only did he get me the part he got me out the same day even with an unfortunately long towing experience (by my roadside assistance)Good to know there are still people out there willing to go out of their way and take a few minutes of their time to help someone out. I did an oil change there, using an Amazon voucher. When buying the voucher I didnt know the shop is quite away from where I live but now I feel pity that there is no shop as good I can find nearby! Job done with high-quality, and efficiency. If the coffee machine had coffee supply (not that I assume it hasnt always) and the toilet werent a bit messy (not that I assume it is always) I would have given an Excellent for sure.

I would just like to recognize the honest effort by the guys at AAMCO Morristown, NJ. During my recent holiday travel I found myself stranded by the side of the road with car trouble. Mark and his team are professional, friendly, and most importantly knowledgable. I came in with my 2004 GX470 and required maintainence on my suspension system. Mark and his team took care of it over the course of 2 days and I am still extremely happy with their service. If your car is bouncing everywhere and making you sick just driving it like I was, these guys will take care of it.

Had a check engine light on my Infiniti FX35. Vince walked me through what needed to get fixed ($25 dollar valve) and also gave me some proactive maintenance suggestions and what there costs were. I have a 2006 Ford Five-Hundred that was getting a knocking sound when I went over bumps, as well as a vibration in the front end. I took my car to my usual mechanic and he said he didnt know when he could get to it (so much for frequent customer loyalty) I noticed that the AAMCO in Morristown was under new management, that was good to hear because I heard some pretty bad things about the old owners. So I took my car over to have it looked at. Vince had one of his mechanics diagnose it and confirm it needed front brakes, as well as new stabilizer links installed. I explained to Vince that my wife drives into Jersey City everyday and I didnt feel comfortable with her driving the car in the condition it was in. He said he needed to order the parts and would call me when they were in. I got surprisingly received a call within 2 hours that the parts were in and to bring the car over when I could. After the job was completed the car drove like it did when we took it off the showroom floor. I now have a new repair shop. Vince and his team are the best.

I brought my ’99 Lexus SUV to Aamco Morristown last summer with a check engine light problem. I had my car serviced at a local mechanic for two years and despite all their efforts, they could not eliminate the check engine light issues. Vince was extremely helpful in diagnosing the problem and then making the necessary repairs. He was informative and patient in explaining (in layman’s terms) the technical issues involved with the problem. It has been approx a year and the car has been driving well and I have had no recurrence of the problem. Just last week, I called Vince (on three separate occasions) to get his professional advice on a major engine problem my daughter was having with a car located in another state. Knowing that his shop would not benefit in any way from repairs to this vehicle, Vince spent an inordinate amount of time providing me with valuable insight and advice. They looked over my car and let me know my transmission was not gonna make it much longer but that it might be under warranty. They didnt charge me and it ended up being exactly what they said and free at the dealership that I bought my car from. Will be going back here in the future for sure

My 2008 Chevy felt like the transmissions was starting to slip so I brought it into the GM dealer in hopes it was still covered under the warranty. It wasnt, and they told me if I didnt have it repaired immediately--costing about $2800, it would break down the next time I drove it on the highway. I thought I should get a 2nd opinion so I took it to aamco and vince said he didnt see anything wrong, and after a $200 minor fix, the car has been fine for the last 10 months. I love my 2003 Acura CL. I will have it until my children drive it. When I was told I had to spend $2300 on a catalytic convertor, I had no choice but take a deep breath and deal with the pain. I decided to ask around and see if there were alternative. When I heard about this AAMCO from a friend my first thought was Dont they just do transmissions? I called up anyway and I couldnt believe what I heard...they not only did full service card maintainence and repair but I got honest, polite, respectful and informative (but not too techy) explanation of my options and decided to save myself a ridiculous amount of money. Which is nice but someone once told me if you want something good, fast and cheap, you can only pick any two of those three. One of the only times that phrase was ever proved wrong for me was when I came here. Growing up in Queens, we had our local mechanic who we went ro for everything and trusted completely....he lived and worked in the neighborhood so there was never a question. When I moved to NJ 8 years ago, I was going to the dealer for everything because I couldnt find that type of place.....until now. Ill be going to these guys for both of my cars....Im back in the neighborhood.

Finally found a mechanic I like! Vince and the guys there have always been helpful and trustworthy with me.

Really overpriced and ignorant. After $500 for a side pan knowing I was in a bind; contacted other shops and the most they said should have been $250. Do not go there way over priced and no consideration.

I went to Aamco after I cracked my oil tank. Aamcos staff let me finance my repairs for 6 months and gave me a cheap deal on everything.
