My hair stylist of 14 years moved far away and Im no longer able to see her. I walked into this salon with no appointment and was greeted immediately. The receptionist was so nice and very professional. She put my daughter and I with a stylist named Terri Soto and she cut both of our hair that day. We went back today to get our haircuts and she styled my daughters hair so beautifully. Terri Soto is so nice, respectful and professional. She answers any hair questions that you may have. She is so good at what she does. We love her and plan on keeping her as our new stylist. I highly recommend this salon to everyone. It is very clean and their score is 100 and posted at the very front.

Kimberly is fantastic! Shes extremely personable and professional. Shes meticulous in making sure her customers are happy with her cut and styling. Shes never cancelled an appointment in the 2 years my son and I have been seeing her. That in itself is amazing to me since many previous stylists seemed to think nothing of wasting my time. I highly recommend her and this salon.

To preface, I havent had my hair done by a professional in over 2 years and didnt have any expectations of what I wanted when going in. Also, my stylist was very friendly and professional. However, I was definitely not expecting to pay nearly $400 for a cut and highlight just to come back home and try to re-cut it myself. The color/highlight looks like a dirty sponge and nothing at all like what we discussed. This was the second time Ive been disappointed by the quality provided, the first being a facial that was extremely over priced as well. I will not be a returning customer and will not recommend any friends to seek service here.

My daughter and I had a wonderful massage. The therapist was friendly and provided excellent service. I really felt relaxed and it was needed.

On multiple occasions appointments were cancelled without notice because hairdresser(s) left early, was running behind, or simply did not show up for work at all! The owner wanted to place blame on me however for the hairdresser not showing up, bc the hairdresser I spoke with personally did not put appointment in the salon system. Still not sure how that’s my fault 🤷🏼‍♀️ I waited 45 minutes from my appointment time just to be told they didn’t think she was coming. Poor poor customer service! Very disappointed in owner as well as staff.

I would like to start by saying the nail tech that did my nails was amazing my nose turned out amazing the lady at the desk is the problem When I called and made my appointment it was supposed to be $35 for a classic pedicure I arrived on time picked my color did my nails and when I went to check and pay out she told me it was going to be 50 and the price doesnt matter to me as much as the fact that I was not informed of how much it was going to cost and then the lady at the desk was completely rude and whenever I disputed it she didnt say Im sorry you were misinformed offered no she offered no apology about it and just was like whats 50 and thats it

I purchased the Groupon for a 60 minute therapy massage with Jennifer. It was my first massage ever and it was fantastic. Jennifer was very sweet and explained every little thing.

First, I would like to say that Ive known the owner of the Phoneix for over 20 years. She has been nothing short of kind and professional. That being said, today I had a very unpleasant experience at the salon.I went to purchase a massage gift certificate for a massage as a baby shower gift for an employee. I chose to go to the Phoneix because Ive always had such a wonderful experience. While standing at the counter waiting for the receptionist to fill out all of the mandatory information on the certificate, a little old lady walked up to the the counter to pay. She waited for a few minutes before the stylist ( whom I assume did her service) walked up and asked her why she was waiting. She told her that the girl behind the counter was busy. At this point, the stylist looked at the receptionist, then at me and said, Yall are both standing her and no one checked her out?, took the ladys payment and stomped off. The receptionist then walked away to have my gift certificate signed . While she was gone, the stylist walked back up, stared at me ( in my opinion angrily) for several moments, rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I do understand that I was wearing black, as the stylist are required to wear; however, I was clearly on the customers side of the counter, and I have not been I. This salon is ten years. I drive across town on my lunch break to purchase a gift because of the professionalism of this salon. This experience made me so uncomfortable I do not see myself going back. As someone who works in customer service, I am pretty understanding; however, this experience was embarrassing I can not imagine returning . I gave the salon three stars instead of one because of Mrs. Linda and the sweet receptionist.

Do not purchase the groupon massage fromPhoenix Salon . I checked the website and even read recent reviews about massages. When I called to make an appointment the receptionist told me that they’re taking names and will start back doing massages once COVID-19 is over (whenever that is ). If this is true why would a respectful establishment sell a product that they’re not even offering . I asked for a refund but instead of receiving one I was told to basically take a facial or pedicure. Customer service is non existent these days and this is basically stealing by false advertisement.

First time for me, I had Kimberly, she did a fantastic job. I had color and cut, she was honest with her recommendation of what I needed and super professional, did a excellent job and took her time with me, was not in a hurry. I cannot say enough good about my experience today. I am now a customer! I will be back in 4-6 weeks for my color again! Highly recommend going to Phoenix.

Kimberly is great and cuts my hair perfectly and professionally every time. I highly recommend her to my friends and others. Phoenix has a good atmosphere. I got my haircut today and nearly everyone in the shop played along and enjoyed a memory game Kimberly started. Maggie won tracking answers and weeding out the wrong ones... Had to be there, but it was fun.

I’ve live in Atlanta, but I still drive back to the Phoenix in Montgomery, Alabama whenever I want to experiment with a new style or color. You can show them any picture in a book and the stylists can duplicate it. Plus, the stylists will be honest with you if they think the cut/style isn’t right for you. The Phoenix is awesome, and perfect for someone looking for a reasonably priced salon they can trust.

Krista is a god send for me and my daughter and also my son. She helped My daughter with some issues she is having with her hair. My daughter loves that this problem is being taken care of and she has someone who truly cares about her. Of course she is friends with my son and listens to how he wants his hair cut. Phoenix is a great local salon with a friendly and talented staff of professionals who know how to treat their customers right. The price for a mens haircut is very reasonable. Ive been going here for over a year with great results. Definitely one of the best Montgomery salons in this price range.

Went to Phoenix for the 1st time today.I had an hour massage with Kerry. It was WONDERFUL!I went in with hip pain and 7 hours later I still feel GREAT!!He was very Professional and knew exactly how to work out my stress and pain.Nicole did my nails and was very nice and personable!She did an AWESOME job!I will definitely be back!!Great Service and welcoming place!I recommend this salon Highly!!

I was a walk-in for a pedicure. There was no one waiting. I was rejected for a pedicure... she said they ran out of supplies? Really? She seemed to try to make an excuse that they were out of supplies. It was still 1 and 1/2 hours before closing. Lets see...Im polite...dressed in my business causal clothes coming from work, well kept and fit, so nothing I can think of from dress, appearance, or behavior to be turned away.I guess what Im saying is that this business must be doing so well that they turn away business for non apparent reasons or that they are on the ropes and cant afford supplies. Either way, they turned away business. So I did what any polite patron would do, I politely left and went to their competition down the road.Be prepared to be turned away for no resonable reason.

I work too hard not to treat myself. I decided to give The Phoenix a try for my massage. I got Nick and he was very detailed and professional. We did a couples massage for Valentines Day and I loved my experience there. They make you very comfortable and the full body massage was amazing! I felt like a new person when I left. We had a male and female therapist but I cant recall their names.

Went there yesterday which was 07/10/13 for a couples massage for my bf birthday. It was both of our first time ever getting a professional massage. It was Awesome. We had a guy and girl therapist, Terry and Sherry. They both were great. We even had lunch served to us there, which was ordered from Steak out!! Great experience definitely will do it again. The massage was $45 per person and it was worth the money!!

Phoenix is an amazing place that really treats you like family. All the stylists there are so incredibly talented and skilled. My trust is completely in them whenever I go and I am never disappointed! My favorite salon!

Took a alternate route instead of passing through mobile came directly to Montgomery and they were nice, got us in quickly unannounced, and their computers where down so they was going to give my husband a free cut because of the inconvenience. Didnt really meet my expectations. My husband sent me here as a surprise. Its a lovely cozy place. The customer service was awesome. This is why I gave it a 3. However, I was dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of the manicure-pedicure I was given. I kept wondering if the young lady who did my nails was inexperienced or new to the establishment. Through conversation I discovered she was only about 21 or 22 years old. But it wasnt until she began my pedicure that I began to question her level of expertise. I asked for no polish because I was having surgery on my feet the next day and my profession doesnt allow fingernail polish. I am glad I didnt get polish. I allowed her to apply clear coat on my fingernails and her form/technique was as if my 3 year old niece was doing it. She did not have a steady hand at all. When doing my manicure she didnt soak my nails nor did she adequately remove dead skin and trim my cuticles. Albeit she was a very sweet young woman I had a hard time focusing on her conversation because I was too focused on the level of service I was receiving. It felt as though because I was a new customer they placed my appointment with her. This business doesnt seemed focused on increasing clientele but keeping the ones they currently have. I can understand that but as a consumer I would probably refrain from returning to this establishment because my main focus is receiving quality service over returning simply because one person was nice to me. She was the only person I saw the entire time I was there. I would like to see them actually train the employee before setting them up with appointments. I do understand the demands of the nail business but I understand the demands of the consumer as well.

I received a gift card for a mani/pedi. Yesterday I got the most horrible manicure I’ve ever gotten! Emily clipped my nails with a cuticle/hangnail trimmer which left them very jagged and pointy. She used a file to saw them down, leaving some of the edges very rough. Fast forward to the end and I managed to nick one nail with another fingernail pulling my hands out of the dryer. Emily was not there at the time so I showed the nail to the trainee. The spot could have easily been patted together but the trainee pushed on it, making it so much worse. The trainee was told he should have patted it, to which he lied and said he did but must have done it too hard. The nail was cleaned and redone, but there was an uneven color down the center. Emily put color on top of the top coat without any additional topcoat. The nail of course smudged while I was trying to leave. Emily offered to fix it. By that time I was tired and needed to go home. Besides why would I want a repeat performance of what I got the first time it was “fixed.” About 3 hours later I touched the nail to make sure it was dry. It felt as though bubblegum had been smeared on it. Of course I scraped it off. My cuticles are jagged, the polish is inconsistent in color and texture, and I have hangnails. The pedicure was good except neither she nor the trainee could get the jets turned on, so my feet were just in warm water. During the process another lady came in and she and Emily were discussing personal stuff. They were also making fun of the name Leonard. “Who would marry anyone with the name Leonard?” “I wouldn’t.” For all they knew, my husband could have been named Leonard. Also they are very limited on polishes and some of those were either dried up or nearly empty. I will not be going back!

I have had my hair cut, colored and styled twice by Linda and the results were outstanding. The entire staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

If you expect good service and refunds from this salon, think once again. I have only been to this salon once, and my first experience proved to be the last. I went there to get a Brazilian Wax, which I had gotten many times before at Dougs 2 (excellent service!) I arrived there a few minutes early before my appointment time, and I was taken back by a girl name Brittany. She left the tiny compact room for me to undress. The table was hard and I was to lay on top of a thin piece of paper, for example like at a doctors visit. Brittany waxed me using the paper pulling method.. worst of all! She had suggested that I lay in a position that is unprofessional ...doggy-style. During and after the wax she put several creams on me which came out to be sticky. When she was finished she didnt offer to leave the room for me to get dressed and inspect her work. Upon leaving I paid the ridiculous amount and left. When I got home and looked at the area, I realized she had bruised me on the side of both of my legs and had left hair everywhere. I was very disappointed. I called the salon to speak with Brittany and explained the situation and asked to receive a refund. She assured me that it wouldnt be an issue. She told me to hold while she got her manager.The store owner told me differently, she explained to me that I could not receive a refund because I left the salon happy. I was also told that it was against their policy and against the law for a cosmetology salon to give refunds. False! Not against the law. Just like any other company they have to give refunds. So I never got the refund, and dealt with horrible stickiness for a few days after. I will never return to Phoenix Salon n Spa again. They proved to have horrible customer service and did not seem to care for their clients wants.... be warned.

There is a reason I have 3 stars and its because Linda did my hair and it was beautiful. However...I went in at 8:45 to be pampered before my wedding as well as two of my bridesmaids. I had already told them what I wanted before hand at our consultation. I was also quoted $120 for everything I wanted done.I got there the day of my wedding only to be told that they do not do acrylic nails, only natural. I wanted acrylics and has previously stated this and was told that wasnt an issue. So I settled for my natural nails. Well not even and hour after having them done, mine and my bridemaids polish started chipping off. WE HADNT EVEN MADE IT TO THE ALTER YET!I Also had my makeup. However they had written my time wrong so when they found out I needed to leave by 11 and not 12 they started rushing. So while Linda was doing my hair, there was a girl doing my make up. Reminder, it was 100 degrees outside and I AM THE BRIDE!! They didnt put any thing on my face to keep the makeup intact, my eyeshadow looked like my 4 year old colored it on with a marker, my eyeliner came off before the wedding started! On top of all that, I wanted to know about fake lashes. I told her I didnt want to pay extra for them but if that wasnt an issue than yes, I wanted them. She put on a pair made from the brand KISS that is found in drugstores and sometimes the dollar tree. I didnt mind that, I thought it was part of the whole package. However, they were not shaped right for my eyes, she didnt put mascara on them so they didnt blend well with my natural lashes. My lipstick wasnt even the right color but by this time I was too close to my deadline and rolled with it. My mistake.I get to the register and the 120 i was quoated then became 130, then they said Oh she got lashes. ...then they added $10 FOR ONE PAIR OF CHEAP LASHES!!!! I said whatever, paid with the cash I had which was 140, which meant they missed out on a bigger tip I had planned on leaving.On top of that, my bridesmaids were not impressed either. All of our makeup had come off, especially mine. Luckily I had someone at the church who fixed it for me the best that they could. This pretty much ruined my big day. I am not a critical person but this was a huge thing for me and I had high hopes, as I should have for my wedding and for a salon who is said to be professional. I probably wont return which really makes me sad because I really enjoyed Linda.

SO first of all I have heard and read soooo many great reviews of this place but at this point I really have to disagree. My mom bought us a couples massage from this place on MAY 28..... I made an appointment which THEY called and cancelled THE DAY BEFORE the apt I was unable to provide a reschedule date at the time so had to call back, I called back the next day and was told they wouldnt have anything available because the second Massage therapist was out on vacation. I gave it a rest for a month, when I called back today I was told there were some apt available this Saturday but I was placed on hold while she checked out another client. I was on hold for 4:26 and then she hung up on me. I called back three times and she apparently couldnt hear me because she hung up three times. Once I finally got them on the phone I was told only the owner can schedule appointments but she was busy at the moment and would be calling me back today. I still have NOT received a call back.

I purchased a 60 minute massage via Groupon as a surprise for my mother. My father was to act like he was taking her to lunch, but actually drop her off for her appointment!I called the salon, and was able to schedule with ease an appointment for the very next day! I informed the receptionist this was to be a surprise, and I would like to go ahead and have the Groupon code on file so my mother would be able to just come in, get a massage, and leave. She said that would be no problem, and asked me to text the code to her. Everything was set!Of course my mom had no idea about any Groupon or even the fact that she had a massage scheduled until my father dropped her off at her appointment. I recieved a call from my mother about the time her appointment should be ending, and was expecting a happy and relaxed voice on the other end. She was frantic and confused and probably embarrassed. The receptionist Judy was asking her for the Groupon code. I was put on the phone with Judy, and explained to her the entire point of me calling yesterday was to avoid my mom even having to checkout. She then said oh, i just found the paper with the code. No apology or anything. All she was concerned with was the fact she needed me to mark the code redeemed on the app so it cant be used twice Im sure. We got off the phone, and a few minutes later my mom called to tell me how rude Judy was to her. Im so extremely disappointed I went to such great length to make this an enjoyable experience for her, just for her to be bullied at the checkout counter.At this point you may bring asking, why have you left 4 starts instead of 0? That is because my mother said MARY provided her with an AMAZING massage, and despite the unfortunate encounter at the end of appointment, she will be going back. Thank you Mary, for taking care of my sweet mom!

The WORST experience Ive ever had. From the minute I walked in the door I should have walked back out. I was never greeted bc 2 staff members were arguing about some computer overbooking issue and a staff member calling in. Then, my facial was the absolute worst. It was being completed by an Oriental girl, and she kept walking in and out of room to answering phone calls. Even during the facial I could hear the buzzing throughout from her texting. Finally, when I went to pay, I was charged more than quoted ( I was quoted $112). By this time, I was ready to just leave. I called the manager regarding this and she was no better than the staff members, very rude and unprofessional. She even had the audacity to blame me for her staff members behavior. I hope she enjoys the $150 I overspent for a facial and massage bc I will never go to this spa again.
