Great experience. My nails and feet look great. I cant remember the first lady who attend it me. (Must find out her name). I was treated with so much gentleness. She kept asking if I was ok as I have pain. So this is my new nail place. Photos are 1 week after and feet are soft and smooth pretty, neon green pretty nails. ππ½Recomend.β€
I came in for a French manicure and as I was getting my nails done the lady told me that I was very picky and I should let her do my nails I told her that I was paying so I deserve to have my nails how I want them she said that if I did not like them as someone else will do my nails and it will cost more I ended up leaving with terrible nails and one already chipped after two days. she was also telling her coworkers about me and I knew she was talking about me because she repeated the same hand motion that I make involuntarily
My pink and white acrylic set after 2 weeks were lifting, cracking and getting tangled in My hair. I felt rushed at my appointment and was treated rudely. Manicurists are paid to do a job, they arenβt doing the client a favor. Will not be coming back.
These wonderful women are very professional and just fun to be around, it was a joy talking with them and I can not wait to see them again. They do a good job following Covid-19 protocol and the shop was clean and well kept, great job.
Very clean and professional. There are lots of stations and itβs very spread out. Not a ton of color options but it helps to narrow down your choices.
Got my nails done here for the first time the other day. I have been wanting to try this place for some time now as it always seems busy and is so conveniently located. I arrived a little late but the woman who did my pedicure was awesome I would definitely have her again. My nails came out ok. I would definitely go back but request the woman who did my toes to also do my nails and tip her double.
One of the worst pedicures Iβve ever gotten. Do not go here. It was dirty. The woman, I think her name was Judy, did my nails and ever single nail is a different shape and looks terrible. I called and made a reservation for my mom and I for Motherβs Day and they didnβt even let us sit together. If I could give it a 0 I would.
These ladies were very pleasant and very friendly. The place is kept very clean and I love the Covid Protocols in place. I had an excellent experience getting a dip manicure. Repeat customer for sure!
The shop was nice.but over priced for what you get...
We had a great experience and some of the best nails I have ever had. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful place. The ladies are so kind and very precise. I enjoyed my appointment and will make this my go to salon. Great service ladies and thank you for the beautiful nails β€
Good pricing. Service was good, couldβve been a bit better probably if they werenβt busy when I came in, but good enough for full stars. Appointment only for now due to COVID.
Ive been having to do my own nails since the salons closed, thankfully they were open and were able to fix the rather messy gel manicure I gave myself.they also gave me some great recommendations on products I can use at home until my local salon reopens.
A lovely facility. Clean and nicely lit. They offer many nail and toe services with reasonable prices. They seem to always have enough employees working to get you right in, if you walk in.
I just got my nails done for my wedding. Mai did a gorgeous gel pink and white. They look so beautiful! All the staff are super nice and seem to really care about the work they do, everything looks clean, and all around a good atmosphere. I even witnessed a client being less than polite and the staff reacted very politely.Thank you, Mai and Magic Nails for adding a little touch of perfection to my special day!
Wonderful group of workers. They are always courteous and do a great job! I always appreciate that they make every effort to accommodate me, even when I just walk in.
Best nail salon in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. Very clean and beautiful interior, with nice staff and manager. Magic Nails has a luxury pedicure menu with a variety of scrubs. No TVs so extra calm and relaxing.
I had a great experience at this nail salon place the girls Susan was really good and I liked the way she did my nails so I highly recommend this place Im going to try their pedicure next
I had another pampering by Diane. She is always such a special person to visit with. Very caring about her customers. Always remembers everybodys name--Amazing!
My favorite nail salon for over twelve years. Love the handy new location near Whole Foods. I certainly do not understand or agree with the negative reviews! The staff is professional, friendly, and very good at what they do. I love Maiβs leg massages and excellent pedicures. Christine is my nail artist of choice: she does my acrylics, gel color and very cute nail designs. The owner, Diane, could not be nicer or more helpful. I wonβt go anywhere else.
Worked me in last minute request. Thank you so much
They did really well on my eyebrows plus my friends. It was $15 and the service was quick.
The WORST nail salon ever! Donβt go here!! My go to place was booked, so I popped in here for acrylic nail removal. Usually so simple but the nail tech managed to COMPLETELY DESTROY my nails. After 1hr and 20min of sitting there two of my nails were grind down nothing, five nails still clumps of old acrylic on, and three nails ok. The nail tech Jennifer had NO IDEA what she was doing. I finally got up and said enough. Left $12 and walked out. 0 stars if I could!!!
Hardly ever a wait hereπ. Prices are a little high, but Id rather pay a premium for well-done services
I would give them zero stars. Not 1 out of 10 of my nails in acceptable, all there regular nail polished seemed to be old and thick (which means it took 35 min for my nails to dry enough to leave).
I was really nervous about going here after reading so many bad reviews. They took two walk-ins no problem and within minutes we were sitting in some chairs. The chairs were brand new and the place seemed clean. We got two pedicures ($30 each) which were awesome! They used nice new (rough) scrub pads for the bottoms of the feet, orange exfoliating scrub, some moisturizing oil, and ending with a hot stone massage. They did offer upgrades for $12 and came in different scents etc. All in all they were very nice or maybe I was getting the βnice treatmentβ because I recently had surgery and was still in some pain.
NEVER GO HERE. Nails were lumpy and lopsided. They were uneven and discolored. They have terrible service and we had to come here twice and still didnβt have great results.
I came here spontaneously as a detour from a trip to Whole Foods. I really want to get a mani/pedi for my family reunion and was actually planning to get it out of state, because I had very poor experiences at the last nail four salons I visited in Seaside. Todayβs experience restored my hope in the nail salons of the Monterey area. Jennifer and Kim were the best nail technicians Iβve ever came across. They took their time and were perfectionists. My $55 manicure (gel) and pedicure (normal polish) was worth every cent. I had an enjoyable spa day and impeccable service. The salon is clean and comfortable. It is also very spacious. Iβve been to some salons where they try to trick you into paying for extra things that should be included in the normal pedicure like a light foot and leg massage, they donβt trick you here. The price they told me up front was the price I paid, plus tip of course because the service I received exceeded my expectations. Iβm definitely coming back and not wasting my time at any other salon here.
Terrible manicure!! I asked for clear polish, the lady put one single very thin coat of polish and told me I was done. The polish immediately peeled and turned orange. I am going back today to have it fixed. I dont want to waste another trip, but its so bad I feel like I have to.
My daughter loves it. Very clean and friendly.
I like everything about Magic Nails..Its clean, bright, everyone is super nice..They have good products and do a great job. And their pedicure chairs are wonderful!
Friendly and efficient.nice woman.
Their work is good. But Jen is one to avoid. Every time a different, higher price for the same nail request. I heard this is common with that nail lady. I would go back but not to her and not until management does something to make sure their clients arenβt being swindled by their employees. This is REALLY BAD customer service and a flat out hustle. Too bad, I sent my daughter there too and were new to the area and would have been forever customers considering I work walking distance. Quit scamming your clients Jen. Or maybe management should look at her termination.
Magic Nails is an excellent salon. I use it every time I am in town.I get exactly what I request and the staff are so prompt and responsive. Great place in my experience.
Took my girlfriend in for her nails and pedicureDecided to sit with her and get pedicureAlso and all good experienceStaff could have been more attentiveAs was the end of there and seemed like the just wanted to get through it!
They charged me 20 dollars for a mani and gel removal on 7 fingers. I guess the manicure is 15? Nam worked on my nails and he didnt want to paint the whole nail for some reason. he tried not to paint the sides of my nail, I pointed it out and he painted only the right side left the left side messed up. When he was massaging my hand/arm he spent 2 seconds on the left and 3 minutes on the right. I dont think I will return.
It is the worst nail salon ever. the place and the equipment are new, but the service is really bad. Girls are very loud, eating while working and talking to each other, even from a distance. job done was sloppy. VERY EXPENSIVE for the lousy service offered. i wouldnt give even one star, but i had to do so to be able to post.
Love the place...expert and friendly staff...super clean( a must for me)...love it each and every scheduled 3 weeks.
Lady who did mani very very nice.
Sally is the best. She is always very careful and gentle. I hate sloppy rough manicures.
Service is horrible!!!! They are not worth the business they receive. I wanted a gel pedi/mani, instead I got a bunch of women conversing about who would do my pedi/mani. After several of minutes of their dialogue of which I could not understand, I became irritated, deciding I would do just the pedicure without any nail polish whatsoever. Their was one young lady who did not hesitate to do my pedicure, however the attitude of the others really got under my skin, which is why I made the decision not to give them what would of been well over $100 of my hard earned money. For the little bit I did have done and in order to prove a point that you never know who you are serving, I gave the young lady a $60 tip for practically nothing more than being eager to help me. I appreciated her for looking beyond THE COLOR OF MY SKIN (cant believe this still happens in 2018)....I forgot to mentioned the nail salon was practically empty. Spend your money elsewhere! Make no room for bigots!!!
Unless you already have perfect feet, dont waste your time or money. All the do is massage and paint nail. There is no scrubbing deadimg skin or clipping nails. Too expensive for the half a$$ service they give. Id do 0 stars if allowed.
Horrible experience! Not only was my technician rude but my gel mani was awful. Started peeling in 3 days. They donβt carry OPI products (he stated opi was bad) frankly, they should carry OPI, OPI actually lasts more than 3 days. I will never go back there. Worst service and worst manicure ever.
My favorite Nail salon & they wax too
I went to Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center in Monterey, CA in May 2014. I got the worst pedicure. The equipment and chemicals they use are not sterile. The woman who gave me the pedicure, scrubbed my feet until they were raw. I had to limp out of the store to my car. It was determined, after several dr.s visits that they scrubbed my feet so deeply that they damaged a nerve in my foot. I have contacted Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center, several times to get a refund, at the very least, and they hang up on me. I have asked for their managers name and address so that I could send them a letter and they wont give me this information. All in all, dont go to this crack shack unless you want to lose 10 fingers/toes on your hands and/or feet from being soaked in a cesspool of disease ridden water. If you do read this review and decide to go to Magic Nails, located in the Del Monte Center, I would suggest you contact Erin Brockovich afterwards as a class action lawsuit will soon be filed putting this disease ridden cesspool crack shack out of business.
The is a lady whose name starts with J,she is an older one. She is horrible. Please, for the sake of you,do not let her touch your nails!!!! Antisanitary, angry and made all my nails broken and crooket for $36!!!! Will never go to her again!!!
Updated review: My pedicure looks horrible after 2nd day I called and was told to call back following day and speak to manager...so I called back and manager said I would have to pay after I just paid $82.00!
Great pedicure, massaged my legs, very relaxing
This place is a ripoff and they do a horrible job they wanted to charge me $35 Just to fix two nails and to change the nail color but instead I paid $5 for ea nail to get fixed and $2 ea nail to get painted which came out to $12 so if its $2 for each nail i dont understand how it would be $5 more for a polish change it shouldve only been about $30 but anyways Ill never go back to this place again my nails look ridiculous and she didnt glue them on right I have a big gap in between my nail and fake nail which can grow fungus
Just terrible, sorry for being mean but this nail salon sucks never go there everyone
Great pedi
