I had a few services done as part of a spa package, which themselves were mostly great. Pedicure and facial were the highlights. Both well executed with great products!Unfortunately, my spa experience as a whole seemed disorganized and lacked attention to detail, especially for the price. To start, I was never offered a robe when I arrived, nor was I told how to use the lockers. I filled out an intake form online, and for some reason they needed me to fill out another one by hand upon arrival. In other spas Ive been to, the quiet/relaxation rooms had more comfortable lounging furniture and dimmer lighting and even tea available to enhance the relaxation experience.After I spent 10-15 minutes filling out my 2nd intake form, without being offered a clipboard, it seemed like a waste as the service providers didnt even review it. The transition between services didnt seem uniform and the order of the services in the package I got didnt make sense- to go directly from pedicure to massage was an easy way to mess up the pedicure.Lastly, the person who provided the massage completely forgot about one of my arms and didnt listen to my instructions about a sprained ankle injury, which I both wrote in the intake form and told them out loud. The masseuse also ignored the preferences for pressure that I specified on the two intake forms I filled out ahead of time.I think perhaps getting only one service per visit would be recommended here, which should be a facial.

Wow! I am so impressed with the customer services, the staff, the atmosphere and of course the services. Thank you Daniela for going out of your way to thoroughly explain all of your services and products to me. I had so many questions and other places have usually gotten rude or impatient with me, so I cant thank you enough. The facial was better than fantastic. It was the best my skin has ever felt in a very long time. Top notch customer service and top notch spa services. This is the go to spot to purchase all my future holiday gift certificates for all my family and friends. Great Job!

I booked two weeks in advance for my daughters 13th birthday. The day before, they called to confirm and to tell me she would be paired with a male masseuse. When I booked I spoke to Emily and I specifically said i wanted only female masseuses because it was her first experience at a spa, she’s 13 for goodness sake and didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable and me being her mother I felt it was holy inappropriate. Well they didn’t listen! They did not try at all to accommodate me at all and pretty much pushed me to cancel my appointment, in which I did and took my money elsewhere. Thanks to them my daughter’s birthday was ruined. She was really excited to go but unfortunately it never happened.

I had an excellent acne facial with Gosia. She explained everything throughout the facial and was very knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and needs for my skin. I will be going back to her soon!

Regardless of what it says on their website, this facility apparently has no protocols for COVID-19. My esthetician was not vaccinated, and she said there are no health checks for employees. (There are also no temperature checks, etc, at the door, nor questions about a clients current health as has become standard at similar businesses.) Upon laying down on the table for my facial, I told the esthetician, for her comfort, that I had been vaccinated. When she did not respond, I asked if she had--she had not. In such an intimate setting, a client should have the choice about whether to work with someone who is unvaccinated. I dressed and left immediately. The front desk person didnt seem to care whether I stayed or left...be aware before entering.

The massages are excellent, and they are doing a good job dealing with COVID safety. The rooms feel clean. While now you are whisked in and out quicker, it feels like the safest way for now. Deep tissue with Julie and Lidet have been well needed stress relief during COVID.

It is a very special spa to go and break an ease with your spirit and beauty priorities.

I got a facial for my boyfriend for his birthday and thought it would be nice to follow it with pedicures. I cant believe this place gets away with charging $60 for what we received. We were expecting an excellent pedicure and maybe even foot/leg massage for that price. The pedicure was very lackluster and paint job sub par. Do yourself a favor and go to your local strip mall where you can get a great pedicure with extras for half the cost.

I had a prenatal massage yesterday. I’m 8 months pregnant. They do not have a true prenatal table. The table simply dips in the center so your head and feet are elevated. The table was also heated which is a big no no for pregnant women. I had to turn on my side which was so uncomfortable as she massaged my back. I’ve gotten plenty of prenatal massages and usually there is an opening in the center of the table to allow pregnant moms the luxury of laying face down and truly enjoying a massage. My masseuse was okay but not great. My body actually hurts after the massage. The place was beautifully decorated but I wouldn’t come here again. They definitely don’t know what or how to give a prenatal massage. It’s also overpriced because of the location. I’ve gotten a better massage at the chiropractor.

I have gone here, twice so far, soon to be my third time. The first time it was a gift to myself and the next time it was a gift from a family member giving me a gift card. Both times I enjoyed the services received, which were Hot Stone body massages and once I also got a facial. The spa is VERY clean, the staff was friendly and the location is not that far from where I live. I also like how they allow clients to use the robes and slippers if need be (however I brought, my own). I would recommend the Woodhouse spa to others as I have had a good experience, their prices are not outrageous but are competitive. Piece of advice I would give, if planning to go during a holiday such as Mothers Day or Fathers day I would make a reservation in advance as to get time and date preferred as I can imagine they get busy.

I recently visited the Montclair location of this wonderful spa. I normally go to Red Bank. This spa is very consistent and high quality. I loved my nail services here. I appreciate the fact that they use autoclave to sterilize their tools and use only best of the best in terms of products during their services. Their service providers are highly trained and provide an exceptional service. I highly recommend this location and Red Bank location.

Came here for a couples massage in August for my bday! Was not disappointed at all! God I wish I can remember my therapists name!!! I asked for deep tissue and she was perfect! Pressure was consistent! The staff was nice! Facility was clean and atmosphere was calm and relaxing! Love this place! Will be back soon!

Having been to quite a few spas around the world, this experience stood out as wonderful. Its the little touches and things they do that make you wonder why no one else had thought of that before. I was spontaneously looking for a treat to myself and that is exactly what I got. I was very well looked after and shall return. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Took a long time reading the description to choose a facial and massage that best fit me. Finally, found two that was exactly what I needed. Got there very mannerly and nice atmosphere, both technicians was nice as well. On the phone I requested my massage done 1st, instead they schedule my facial 1st. Now with my facial, the tech never told me what she was doing or what products she was using, at one point the microdermabrasion machine stopped working and she had to switch it out, in the end my there was no difference in my face. Then it was my massage, it was suppose to be deep since it was my back only and as the description said, but instead I got a rub down, I had to ask for her to go a little harder, she didnt listen only a minute here and there, also she never asked how was the pressure! At the end I went to the receptionist and told her experience and it seems like she didnt want to hear it, she also said she would call me the next day to see how face was doing and she never did that either. For the price I had to pay for both treatments, I really feel they should have done alot better! Very disappointed customer.

On my first visit to this location, Adrianne offered me an organic discovery facial. It was fantastic. The people at the front desk were competent and kind. There is some massaging involved. My skin felt and looked better than it did when I first walked in.

I went there last week and when I went to checkout I noticed money was missing. I had just gone to the bank so I knew exactly what I had. My husband picked me up an assured me I wasn’t crazy but that he believes I was robbed. I called and talked to a manager who could care less and told me maybe the owner will call me but to go file a police report. No apology or anything. I posted on Facebook and received a call from another woman this happened to. I went the next day to return my stuff and got a basic kind of oh well. After I said something I got a call from the manager again who I must say needs training in customer care. She only apologized after I said I never even got an apology. You not only get ripped of figuratively here you also get ripped off literally also.

My experience at The Woodhouse day spa today was amazing. As soon as my sister and i entered the door two ladies greeted us immediately. They were very polite and warm. The space is beautifully decorated and you are offered tea, water, and snacks. My sister and I had a duet massage session and it was exactly what I wanted. My massage therapist Jacqueline was also amazing. She instantly made me feel comfortable. When return I will definetly request her as my therapist. This was a great experience for me

I have been to MANY spas, and today my boyfriend and I went for a couples massage, facial and pedicure at the Woodhouse Day Spa.....and from the moment we walked in, until we walked out the door...the entire staff was professional, friendly, and the place is extremelyyy relaxing! Our massages and facials were fantastic and not your average spa treatments. We cant wait to go back! What a great place.

My experience was not worth $310.00! The same person that did my facial did my pedicure. The facial was basically a steam towel and cleanser and massage with face cream. Nothing more. Then the fire alarm sounds for about 20 minutes. How can anybody get a massage with a fire alarm going off and I was told if the tenants that live upstairs use the blow dryer its sets off the alarm. NEVER AGAIN

I received a wonderful Signature Pedicure and Hot Stone Massage. They use Himalayan Stones, which are more therapeutic than the regular stones. I loved this experience. For the Pedicure they use actual seaweed leaves which are awesome for detoxification, hydration and circulation. I also purchased the Kneipp products for my home use. I was introduced to Kneipp in Germany and was so surprised to see this line here in the US. I have been looking for a spa where the treatments and products are therapeutic and holistic. I highly recommend this spa!

If i could give it NO STARS I WOULD. I called to schedule a couple appt with my spouse who is an amputee and I was told that the masseuse did not feel comfortable massaging him but would do it anyway. I was very much offended and told them I would definitely take my business elsewhere.

The Woodhouse Day Spa is an amazing getaway with wonderful massage therapists and other spa professionals in abundance. I am never disappointed with the staff, service or atmosphere. There are also great package deals making spoiling yourself a reachable goal!

My wife and I went for a couples massage and facial today . It went from a relaxing day to a total nightmare. They some how over booked or misunderstood what getting a couples massage is or at least that was the receptionist answer. So we ended up having to get separate massages . My wife was totally upset as this was the last time we were going out before my son is born. She tried speaking to the receptionist who she told me was very rude to her and instead of trying to fix the problem was more interested in debating the issue. I now have to deal with my wife being upset this has seriously ruined my weekend . I wanted to respond to us leaving a good tip and without complaining. I dont think it would be fair for us to not tip the people who didnt have anything to do with what happened. As far as not complaining I went for a day of relaxation, not a day of headaches.

Massage was great but front-end/reception service was deplorable - enough that I will not return nor will I recommend. So much for the spa experience. Ill go back to DePasquale.

Okay place, parking is good and is close to our home. My girlfriend really enjoys this place.

I had a facial there on my bday. The aesthetician was pretty good and I saw how hard she worked during the 80 minute facial, really appreciated it and this poor review should not be aimed at her for the most part - as a side note. After the 80 min facial and even during it, I felt my hair was getting a TON of the product in it the woman was using, oils, masks etc, though I had the headband on... When I went to the lockers I saw that my hair was covered heavily with oils and products the woman used, and it looked and felt just gross. I would then have to go home just to scrub it all out, which wasnt the plan on my bday. This put a dark cloud on the experience. Then in the locker room when I was getting ready to go at the vanity a woman dialed someone on her cell phone (not ok period to use phones in locker areas) and on SPEAKER phone talked with someone about their lunch plans. That is in no way ok, there should be a rule and signs that say no phone (nor speaker phone!) use in private, relaxing areas of a spa. When I went to check out, in a bit of shock from those events the woman who checked me out after I showed her my hair, gave me a worn out paper coupon that said $20 off your next service (when you spend $100 or more) to make up for what happened. It was like getting a DSW coupon in the mail, it meant absolutely nothing, felt generic and obviously my issue wasnt important to them, and was super insulting that that is all she thought was needed... After asking if I wanted to buy $200 dollars in products the aesthetician had recommended I was so very much done there.Follow up, a manager wrote me back a day or 2 later, after I emailed them about these issues and said the $20 coupon off $100 or more in services was what she thought was fair...I would avoid their spa at all costs and go support a local spa owed by people from the area, who really care, not a dated franchise that has gone way down hill and leaves much to be desired.

What a complete waste of money! My wife went for a pre natal massage and she came back feeling like she paid $112 for someone to apply oil to her body. There was no consideration given to the requests she had made during her service. The only saving grace was the 20% discount they applied for this horrible experience. Pick a different spa - there are plenty in the neighborhood.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - The Woodhouse Spa is not worth the time or the money.The facility is OK, but nothing to boast about (the locker room is so small the changing room is also the toilet, and there is a DVD advertisement playing on an 8 travel screen in the relaxation room). My experience. however, was appalling, and needs to be shared.My mom and I decided to try out The Woodhouse Spa in Montclair, because we wanted a day of pampering, and even though we love Depasquale in Morris Plains, we are from Montclair, and try to support local businesses. I scheduled a deep tissue massage for myself, and when the masseur asked if there was anywhere specific she should concentrate on, I said upper back and shoulders, because that is the area I needed a massage most. She was very rough on my entire body, but I kept my mouth shut, because I wanted that same pressure applied to my back and shoulders. Big mistake. I guess she was tired when she finally got around to my back and shoulders, because she barely applied any pressure, and seemed to love lifting her hands up before working out any knots. She also spent the least amount of time on by back and shoulders, which is the exact opposite of what I told her.A treatment at Woodhouse does not come cheap, so I when the girl at the desk asked how my experience was, I told her exactly what happened. She seemed very understanding and apologetic, and wanted me to give the spa another chance. She invited me back for another massage with a different person, and also a paraffin treatment. Because she was offering this complimentary service, I agreed to give the spa another chance.My appointment was supposed to be tonight, and I got 2 calls from the spa, the first to confirm I was still coming, and the second from the girl who was so apologetic, to tell me the price of my treatment, and remind me about the complimentary paraffin. Excuse me??? The whole thing was supposed to be complimentary. I never would have agreed to give them a second chance at my own expense. The girl said there must have been a misunderstanding, but my mom was standing right next to me when I was asked to give the spa another chance, and she too had the same understanding, that I was being offered a free massage.Now, I have been to a number of spas in my life, and never have they called to confirm the price of a treatment, so I maybe this girl got in trouble with her boss for offering the free experience, and was calling to try and save her own behind, but that does not make up for this disservice, and that is why I have decided to share my terrible experience on social media.If you are looking for a day of quality pampering, I recommend Depasquale the Spa.
