This is one of the only reviews Ive ever left because this was one of the only times a business has been absolutely straight up and honest with me. My car was having trouble starting. The auto parts store said the battery was fine, and the alternator tested okay for me. So I called Reds to explain the situation and ask for help.When I said my battery was more than 4 years old, the guy on the phone (Red himself??) said I should just get a new battery. Apparently the battery tests offered by the chain stores arent always accurate, and batteries today dont last as long as they used to. I said thanks, went to the store and bought a battery, and havent had a problem since.Reds easily could have taken me for $200 to inspect and troubleshoot my car, then sell me a battery. But they didnt. He knew the problem and told me for free. Thats honest. You better believe the next car problem I have, Im calling Reds.

I would visit them with all my automotive needs on repair. The best in the business and great prices but most importantly HONEST people!

I wish I could give Red and his son, Shawn, 10 stars! This is the only place in Mobile I feel comfortable taking my car. Red is honest and knowledgeable. He will only fix what is broken. He does not try to sell you things you dont need. Today my battery died. I had no idea how I was going to get somewhere to get a new one. Luckily, I dont live too terribly far from his location. He sent Shawn to my house to replace my battery and the fee was extremely reasonable. If you are looking for an experienced mechanic who wont price gauge you, go see Red!

Red and Shaun are so knowledgeable about any problem I’ve ever had with a vehicle. They generally know my problem just from a phone call. Highly recommend, you will not be sorry!

Red is the best mechanic in town. He has always run a diagnostic on my vehicle for free and let me know ahead of time if its something that needs immediate attention. Ive been taking my personal and work vehicles to Reds for over five years and Ive always been more than satisfied with the quality of his work and service, and I think you will find him hard to beat on the cost as well. Sometimes there can be a wait to get your vehicle in, but its worth it.

My Son is in College at USA Mobile. I am way up here in the North in Huntsville, Lol. His Jeep broke down and I did some research for the best Mechanic in Mobile and found Red. Excellent experience. Red told us what it was going to cost and stayed in communication with us. He fixed it right the first time. Highly recommended!!!!!

My alternator went out on the interstate while I was traveling. He was so nice; repaired my vehicle and didnt charge an arm and a leg. So thankful for Reds!!!

Skilled, honest mechanic! I recommend him to anyone in the Mobile area, especially women. As a woman it can be often intimating visting a mechanic. Red is a man you can trust and a skilled mechanic. He will only fix what you need to get you back on the road and wont bother you with trying to fix unnecessary things to get more money from you. He is a great choice for people who live on a tight budget, too. He always comes in at or below estimate!

Ive been using Red for about 3 years now and hes always been honest and fair with me. he does great work as well! Red takes the time to explain to you whats going on and what your options are. he charges for the work he does and thats it. my only complaint is that sometimes it takes a while for your car to be seen cause hes so busy but thats due to his reputation as a great mechanic. id recommend Red to any girls out there who get intimidated going to the mechanic. like the other reviewer said, dont be put off by the location or the shop. the quality of work is top notch.
