I went in for a haircut after scheduling for a wash and cut. After I was in the chair and seated she started cutting my hair, not wet or anything. She was done within 5 minutes. I should have mentioned that I wanted a wash but also I don’t get how she didn’t see that on the reservation. She mentioned that her coworker always schedules her for quite a few appointments after 5 when she’s tired and exhausted after a long day. Wasn’t very professional and I felt weird because she was literally cutting my hair as she said this.Wouldn’t go back. Spend your $21 elsewhere.

Well my first experience today at Cost Cutters was not very enjoyable. I went to get my hair cut and the lady that cut my hair was rough and was not very nice to me or my hair. The reason I put three stars is because I did like the smell inside. But I would not go back. Cost Cutters was very clean and tidy and had fancy chairs and decorations. I dont really recommend going there but try it for yourself.

See the picture and judge for yourself. I thought it was an unusually quick haircut and now I can see why. I could have cut my own hair better while blindfolded. The scissor wielder seemed nice enough but I prefer competency over friendship when having my haircut. I won’t bother showing the sides. Handy tip: always wear your glasses and ask to see the back of your head before paying. Lesson learned.

Got my hair cut today 1/23/2021 at 1:00PM, and my stylist openly and casually said every racial slur imaginable while talking about her family and who she was related to. Ive already called corporate about this, and I will be sending in a detailed email of my experience as well, but this was absolutely disgusting and I will never return to any Cost-Cutters location unless they deal with this matter promptly.

I was overdue for a haircut due to the pandemic. Individual who cut my hair was nice, friendly, and did a decent job. Just be aware - Cost Cutters is assessing a $3.95 sanitization surcharge for haircuts at this business location. I have no idea why I am required to pay this surcharge. Seems like a ripoff to me - was not happy I had to pay this fee. The surcharge was not disclosed to me until after my hair was cut and I was paying. Seems like the business needs to get this posted publicly, right next to their prices, so customers are aware they are being assessed for some hidden surcharge. Informing customers of this surcharge after the fact is not a good way to conduct business. I did not appreciate being surprised with this surcharge, which amounted to 23% of the cost of my haircut ($3.95 / $16.99). This surcharge is outrageous - I will think twice before returning to this business.

The staff was amazing and very friendly. I had Renea dye my hair and they all made it a very fun and friendly environment. Renea went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the outcome. I love my hair and the way it turned. I would definitely recommend Renea to all my friends and family.

Don’t do it to yourself! These are nice people but they can’t cut hair. Go to somewhere that’s reputable and a little higher price range to make sure you’ll get a great cut every time. Mine was uneven and my friends laughed at me lol

I stripped my hair of my dark red dye at home and got a very very dark ugly orange when I was hoping for blonde-ish. I went to cost cutters and Renee turned my hair into a beautiful light copper when I was sure my only option left was to dye it dark brown. She gave me a great discount (50 dollars less than anywhere else) and saved my hair when other hairdressers told me Id have to cut a lot of it off. She also got me the right products for my hair at half price. HIGHLY recommend her

I usually have my haircut by Renea who does an excellent job in my opinion. She is a pro and is very nice and genuine, you can tell she enjoys her customers.Recently I went into the store and there was a woman cutting hair I think her name was Alex. She was cutting hair on what was obviously a homeless gentleman. The man was pretty rough and dirty. The woman cutting his hair was just really nice and professional to this chap.She treated him very well and just talked him like any regular customer. I just thought for this guy to be treated so warmly by this lady was very........ Human and Decent. She made the guy look like a million bucks to!Anyway, after he was out she very professionally and politely cleaned up and sanitized her station so those of us (me) next in line felt comfortable getting our hair cuts. Just a TOTAL pro.For me this is a good place to get a cut. I pay $20.00 with tip and I find it is usually pretty quick, although sometimes the gals get busy. I have never had a bad experience in 24+ hair cuts.

If only I could give this place a negative rating!! I would give them a negative 12!! We took my sister in for a 4 inch trim and she came out crying!! The woman cutting her hair literally took 5 minutes to cut her hair!!Right from the start it started going down hill! The only way to cut her hair is a wet cut due to her curly and frizzy hair. But the hairdresser didnt even wet her hair even though there was a bump due to wearing a ponytail all day. Then we told her 4 inches and she cut way too short right from the first cut. Apparently she has never heard of a little at a time. After cutting her hair 6 inches shorter than we asked, she finished the entire cut within 5 minutes! After finishing, she then decided to wash her hair! (AFTER she cut it!) When we were paying, she noticed that my sister hated it and began crying! Instead of apologizing, she told my sister that its just hair, it will grow back.I do not recommend this place to anyone!! Literally go anywhere else, even if the cost is higher! It is worth the extra money to get a good cut and not have to deal with what we went through!!

I usually recommend this place highly, but had an experience that embarrassed me a great deal this last time. They do offer great haircuts.

Came in with a shaggy hair, stylist named Bambi did a great job. Friendly and took her time with an excellent Scissors cut. Much better than the electric clippers you get at allot of places.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO!Where do I begin... My horrible experience began with a wait twice as long as they told me, there were three employees “working” and one guy getting his hair cut. I guess they didn’t feel like working. I clearly told the stylist that I just wanted a trim and half an inch off the top. She shaved the sides and back of my head completely leaving a awkward small spot of hair on top of my head. She also said ‘F*** you and your hair too’. I was absolutely shocked when she said that. My brother, also getting his hair cut there, had it even worse. He just wanted a trim and she shaved a line through the middle of his head and left long prices of hair in random places. I swear it’s the patchiest mess I’ve ever seen. The lady cutting his hair took over 30 minutes, was a turtle, and about 90 years old. The service is horrible and the haircuts are even worse. Luckily we got a refund and we’re NEVER going back.

They do a good job there. I would recommend calling ahead, as they are always busy.

RUN AND HIDE!!!! Letting them touch my hair was the worst mistake of 2019!! I was taking a trip to Mexico and didn’t have time to make a appointment with someone qualified so I figured how bad could some be at a trim. It may have only been 20$ but the extensions I had to get to cover the hack job were 800$.

Called for a haircut and color for my son... Told me they didnt have a lot of ppl working so I couldnt get it done after 4... 5 hours till closing.. And I had done this before drove from superior to get it and have always gone here... Never again will I spend a dollar to support this place

My daughter and I specifically asked for a longer version of a picture we brought in, the woman cut her hair shorter. I politely interviened several times making it clear I was concerned that it was too short. Not only was she defensive but so was a coworker that I brought into the discussion for help. My teen was going from very long hair for the first time in her life to something shorter and we knew it would be an adjustment but this was beyond a shock for us. It could have been saved after the first few clips near the neck but clearly the customer is not respected here.

The lady was nice she had white shaggy hair, but I asked for layers and she gave me one layer that you could not tell that I had layers in my hair at all and I asked for long bangs and there short, AND the ends of my hair are weird looking I have to fix the ends of my hair which should not be the case. I wouldnt recommend this place nor the one in the mall either.

I had a hair dresser at cost cutters South gate and shes gone so I had to book appointment with someone else and this new hairdresser burned my head with bleach she put directly on scalp did not use foil and then chopped my hair like it went through meat grinder.. I went in for a shoulder length A frame. The woman that cut my hair was middle aged with short hair with one side shaved, and was very unpersonable. I have never had a hair dresser that rushed through a haircut like that. I was left with a chopped mess with one side longer than the other. She obviously did not care about her job and wanted me out of there asap. Did not even offer to dry my hair for me and when it did dry later I realized how bad it was. She did not take the time to soften the ends or go through and check if it was even. She just pulled the ends out to my shoulders once or twice while looking in the mirror and that was it. It looked like it was done with kitchen scissors.

I had a disastrous cut two cuts ago. The person who tried to fix it did an okay job but at that point it really just had to grow out. My last cut was OK but not exactly what I requested. They are very short staffed since staff walked out when company wouldnt pay any raises. Co-worker suggested Ultra for next cut. Ill try that and see if Cost Cutters can get their business back on track in a few months.
