Absolutely loved this place. I’ve had my nails done a couple times but never good enough, I went here and was completely amazed with how friendly they were. They were also super patient and ate super skilled. I will be coming back☺️

The usual place I go to was fully booked, so a random google search showed me envy nails not too far from where I get my nails done and I am so glad I found this place. I don’t remember the name of my nail tech but she did an awesome job! In and out within an hour. I was hesitant at first but I will definitely go back!

This place, located Uptown near Lake of the Isles is a tiny store full of talented women. .y pedicure was very relaxing, and she did a helluva job removing calluses that metatarsal safety boots had worked very hard to make permanent. The manicurist was an artist, the flower on my nails were done free hand by her. If you have the chance, go there!

Made an appointment by using the Google chat feature. Quick response and same-day appointment. Got a dip powder removal and color change. I didnt get a hand massage like my neighbor, but maybe not available due to powder manicure? It was busy on a Saturday afternoon, but someone greeted me as soon as I walked in, and I felt welcome despite it being my first time and not knowing their processes. Ill be back!

OMG!!!!.. This place is amazing (hand down to Amy my nail technician.. She said. what you like, and boom she said sit back and relax.. Im like.. wait, this is.. And no.. Finally I let her did her thing and magic baby !I! I love them.. Next time Ima just let be quiet and let her work! 😂 Im so happy.. And Im very picky too..I found an new mail technician!!😍.. And the pedicure.. Wow..I got the number 4.. hannah... Got my feet looking fabulous! She took her time didnt rush and changed the color bc it looks different in the light she made sure I was leaving happy..I most definitely will be back!.. Prices is also fair.. Wonderful staff. Such positive and kind people each and every one of them. They truly care about their clients and really do deliver. I am rather picky about how I would like my nails done and the shape and how they are cleaned. Ive never been disappointed with them

Came in for my birthday and got a horrible acrylic set! bunch of little black brush hairs in my nails, the paint for the french tip is so wavy and uneven. the sizes of all my nails are different with little bubbles in the nails. i asked specifically to hide my uneven nail beds. my real nails weren’t even clipped. i WISH i could get my money back. please save yourself from getting a bad set.-for some reason i can’t respond to your reply, i was there on the march 26th around 11am. i called in and was told they could get me in. never once asked for my name. i was at the uptown location right next to jersey mikes.

They usually do a great job on nails, really talented. But I had an uncomfortable experience when I was paying. I gave almost a 50% tip but felt a negative reaction from the technician because I paid with a credit card. I felt bad and sorry because she will have to pay taxes on it and would be sure to pay with cash next time... that wasn’t the problem. It was actually just that she seemed kind of negative about the whole thing. I felt uncomfortable and not sure if I will go back. She is probably over worked. But the reviews about the women working here being very talented is true. They are experts!Again, paying with cash so more money goes to the business and technician is not the problem. That is understandable. It was the way the technician reacted to paying with a credit card when I didn’t have cash. I felt uncomfortable because I gave her almost 50% tip and she seemed openly displeased. I felt like I did something wrong when I paid my bill because of her negative attitude. Just explain the situation pleasantly and graciously and you’ll get way more people happy to make a special stop at the ATM to get cash.

Let me start by saying, this salon usually goes above and beyond. Ive been coming for a couple months now and usually love their work.I was disappointed to find out that their prices nearly doubled. I usually pay around $35 but this time it was $60. Which I dont particularly have a problem with, but I would expect the service to line up with the new pricing. Im unsure of the technicians name, but she was very rough with me. My nails look absolutely beautiful but she literally cut into my skin. Three times! I have deep gashes by my nail bed and they are very painful. I get mistakes happen but if youre causing me to bleed (in multiple areas) youre not doing something right! She also used files that obviously have been used prior to my visit, which really freaked me out considering the pandemic. Wont be visiting again. :(

Angel is a great person and a good conversationalists...sense of humor. Talks quit so u really have to listen 👂 to what shes saying 🤣...the masks an guard at her station dont help any better!!!

I do recommend an appointment otherwise you will have to wait, they fill fast but I was a walk in and fortunately for me I was able to get my pedicure done. My tech was really friendly and took her time. Service was great. Bring cash or there is a 5% fee I’m not complaining just letting you know what to expect.

The associate that performed my full set was the most iconic, friendly, creative person who has ever done my nails. I have literally never had a better experience!! I’m posting a picture because I wanted to show how good of a job she did. 4 stars because I needed them re-done the next day, and I was treated very poorly.During the original appointment I came in with a friend and informed my service provider that this was my first time getting my nails done. I’m wondering if that set the tone for doing a casual job, because after we finished my friends were less than impressed with my nails. They told me I should go back and have them re-done or at least re-shaped because of how rushed the job looked.I really didn’t want to ask the staff to re-do my nails for free, so when I came in the next day I asked for a refund and if they would just take my nails off. I know refunds can be awkward and businesses worry about customer reviews, so I was sure to be very gentle and ask as politely as possible. The manager was very polite and said that they would be happy to re-do them for free, so I pulled up a picture on my phone of what I would like instead.The picture I showed them was a completely different look from what I originally had and I think this irritated them. But I hated the previous look, and again I would have been just as happy with having the nails taken off. From there, the same service provider I had the day before was asked to do my nails again.I won’t say her name but she was visibly angry. She stayed this way the entire time and was loudly complaining to the other service providers. Fortunately for me they didn’t seem to be encouraging her behavior, in fact they actually seemed to be comforting her. I’ve never been so uncomfortable. Every once in awhile she’d ask “do you like them” and when I’d say yes she’d exhale angrily and roll her eyes. When the service was finished she angrily got up and walked away... so I very awkwardly started to leave while a few of the providers laughed at me. I was SO embarrassed.The nails look great- she’s clearly talented and knows what she’s doing. I wanted to give her a large tip as a thank you in addition to the one I had given her the day before, but she was so rude that it just wouldn’t have made sense. I’m in the service industry too and no matter how angry guests make me I would never act this way (also why I don’t have the heart to give less than 4 stars). In the end, very professional job but done very unprofessionally.

I had a great experience at this nail shop . A nice lady by the name Amy did my toes I got the uptown pedicure for 35 bucks and she is awesome. She is very patient for Im extremely picky. Calm presence . Almost fell asleep in the chair. Will return make a appointment. Parking in back nice. Asked for design free style. Its lovely.

I got a dip powder manicure with extensions (I’ve had many before). My technician did not take my previous set off completely, causing the new tips to be applied unevenly (leaving a gap between it and my natural nail). She also used tips that were too wide on some of my nails, causing an awkward shape (I did almond for reference). The worst was that she did not allow the dip powder to dry for almost any time in between layers, which caused incredibly lumpy application. Even after smoothing with the nail drill you can see unevenness. Not to mention I’m already seeing lifting after 5 days. Disappointing for the price.

For how expensive this place is, I was incredibly disappointed. My guest and I had two mani/pedi appointments with regular polish, and not only were the paint jobs disappointing, it was incredibly overbooked (we didnt even get a chair for our nails so they did it standing), and their color choices for regular polish were also subpar. I was really expecting a great experience given the overall positive reviews. Maybe I just came on an off day but I would not recommend going here.

The customer service was good, they are some nice ladies, and I do like my nails. But I am disappointed that one of my rhinestones came off my nail, and I barely had the nails on for a week. I had got my nails done on Tuesday and lost one rhinestone by Thursday.

I had a dip manicure done on my natural nails. My technician was quick, courteous, and paid good attention to detail. This place doesn’t go above and beyond in terms of friendliness or a relaxing spa experience, but if you’re just here to get your nails done and get out, it works. The posted photo is of an older manicure here (I forgot to take a photo of this one), but the quality is the same.

They did a good job. My hands are a little dry lol. But thats because they are always dry 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

The place itself is fine, kinda crammed when I went on a Sunday with every station filled (not super social distanced). They did a good job on my dip and have a HUGE selection of dip colors. Only complaint is they use regular topcoat and not gel, so I had to wait for it to dry before leaving.Original review: 4 starsUpdate: appreciate the response. Loved booking my appointment through Google messenger! So easy and they were very flexible.My friend and I got dip manicures. This was my friend’s first time getting dip, my 4th or 5th.They had SO many colors to choose from. Far more than any other salons I’ve been to that offer dip.I was happy with the way our nail turned out. There was definitely some waviness to them, but that’s okay. My friend’s nails are very short and hers still look good five days later. On the fifth day of my manicure, my middle finger nail broke. No idea how or when, but the tip of my nail completely broke off and the color cracked.I went in today to get it fixed. they were happy to fix it for me. Even though it took an hour to fix one nail (they were very busy and I mostly just sat there waiting) I was happy they took me in as a walk in.They fixed it perfectly and my nails looked great again. But, not two hours later, the same thing happened to my pointer finger! I filed it down but it’s still a pain. I will likely go in to get it fixed as well.I think I’d go back but would ask for a more oval shape as my sharper almond tips aren’t lasting like they did from other salons.One tip: bring cash! They offer a discount for paying in cash. They also do a punch card.

I came in on a Saturday for a simple gel pedicure and gel manicure on my natural nails.. When I arrived, it was clear to me that Saturdays are very busy at this location due to the fact that they are located in Uptown and it was the Saturday of PRIDE. Thankfully, I called ahead and was able to book a 12:30pm appointment. I parked on the street because I had no idea that they had parking in the back lot (next time Ill remember this!). My manicurist was very sweet. She paid attention to detail and made sure that my pedicure and my nails looked great. I asked her to cut my nails down and to shape them into a square due to the fact that two of my nails broke off. I really appreciated her asking me if I wanted a third coat on my nails. All in all, my experience was great. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is due to the size of the salon. The salon is kind of small, so beware that you may have to scoot around the salon, especially if it is really busy.

Absolutely loved going here! They had the prices upfront, professional and exceptionally friendly staff. Very minimal wait times and wonderful clientele. I can’t wait to go back for a new set! So glad that I found a nail place I can make my home.

Prices have went up significantly, for the price point it’s probably better to go to a luxury salon.

I love their shaping and the way they dont pile on acrylic. I usually get my nails pretty basic. They dont do many designs or have many specialities so if you have a photo in mind that you want copied or a certain type of intricate design, you might want to go someplace else. Other than that they always do a pretty good job.

This is the only nail salon I will visit! They take walk-ins but it’s best to call ahead. It’s a popular salon and the manicure stations in particular are often very busy. I visit for maintenance pedicures and dip manicures, and no matter the technician, my nails always look extremely nice!

Terrible customer service. She didn’t finish my pedi but I said nothing and paid full price plus tip. I tried to look past it my first visit but I was told to pay before finishing my mani. I was the only one asked to do this, I was also the only black person there...not a coincidence of you ask me. (The owner replied saying they ask you to pay ahead of time for polish and at the end for dip and gel. I did dip nails and gel pedicure. Prepay is a common racist practice done by some business. There is even a What Would You Do episode on this. It’s a shame that instead of recognizing their own racist prejudice they make excuses.) here is a is a picture of my dip nails.

Came in for my appointment and walked right back out. There were WAY too many people crammed in a tiny space. I dont even think they had seats between people - at least 10-15 customers alone. Nope nope nope.I appreciate the response! I am certain there were more than 8 customers inside while I was there and no social distancing.

The folks at Envy Nails are extremely accommodating, friendly and professional. Besides providing excellent nail services, they welcomed us in (as well as several other customers) very close to closing time. Its a very nice and soothing salon, with kind and gentle service.

I have done pink and white for a long time until I was introduced to the Ombre at Envy Nails in Uptown. I would recommend making an appointment because they are quite busy. I am glad I did because I didnt have to wait at all.

I went in today to pamper myself with a full set matte black. They were very busy but also extremely nice. They had me sit in the pedicure chair for a massage while I waited. My only concern is my pinky nail being crooked but other than that it was a great experience. It was very busy so I think my tech felt a bit rushed. I will come at a less busy time and Im positive the results will be great.

My friend and I had the luxury pedicure and it was so relaxing. Our ladies were nice and friendly. They do seem to be busy so making an appointment is nice if you are short in time or don’t want to wait.

Disappointed. Location had standard levels of cleanliness and friendliness, but left a lot to be desired with the quality of my dip manicure. Compared to other locations in the twin cities, this has been the worst dip I’ve received.Additionally, I was told by the employees that my pedicure was dry and I could put my boots on - when I took them off 10 minutes later, every toe was “smooshed.”

Envy Nails is named one of the top nail shops in MPLS for a good reason, they are amazing! I have zero complaints. When I did have a complaint, I called and asked for it to be fixed. Their staff was able to schedule an appointment for me to have my nails fixed and actually went even MORE above and beyond than they did during my initial visit.Their staff has done my nails twice and they already have me hooked on their dip powders! Right now I’m rocking their OPI powders on my nails and gel on my toes. The quality of their work is phenomenal. I’m loyal to Envy!

Excellent experience at Envy Nails. They accommodated our small bachelorette group (5 girls) efficiently and safely in these COVID-19 times. We all agreed that our gel manicures were the best we’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

Great service - I walked in during my lunch hour and got my gel nails removed and redone. It took less than 45 minutes - the service was not super glamorous, but it was done well and quickly! Would recommend. It was only $30 for the service as well, so very reasonably priced.

I have been a regular here for over 2 years. I’ve even continued to come here despite moving further away. They always have the latest and up to date options, and offer the most nail colors I’ve seen from any nail salon. Ivy and her husband are great owners. They have always gone above and beyond to assure a great experience. They’re very personable and professional. When the Bruegger’s was open next door, Ivy’s husband (I forget his name) would even go and get the bagels they were going to throw away, and personally bag them up to give out to homeless people. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that, just so awesome and makes you want to continue to support their business.

Im obsessed with the way my deep french nails turned out. I showed my nail tech a photo of what I wanted and she was able to flawlessly execute it. I struggled with selecting a color, but she was able to recommend the exact shade of pink I was looking for. I love that my nail beds look long, and the gel polish definitely makes the design look cleaner.Not only do my nails look great, the interior/space is sophisticated and cute. I was at the shop for around 2 hours for both mani-pedi, but every hour was extremely busy and packed. Its not too hard to figure out why this place is so popular!

I decided to try Envy again after not being too impressed the first time. And Im glad I did. This experience compared my last one is like night and day. I had a very sweet and pleasant gal do both my mani and pedi. She giggled when I kept pulling my feet away because Im so ticklish. My nails on hands and feet look great and I will definitely be back. Its my place now.

The pedicure was awesome and the price perfect. I walked in and they were ready to work on me. The girl helped me match my manicure color which was super nice, testing it on her own nails. The scrub and massage was very relaxing and made me feel relaxed. Would recommend people who want a relaxing pick me up come here!

I got my nails done today for the first time at Envy and she did such a beautiful job! I can be a little finicky and high maintenance, but Julie nailed it! I brought her my design I’ve been wearing for years ( Capricorn Ombré French) and she perfected it on the first appointment. Nice shop, reasonable prices and staff very down to earth. I will be returning for sure!

I came here after seeing their pictures because I myself wanted a specific style of nails and I am so happy I did!!! My nails turned out great, I love them!! They were also super friendly about accepting the design I wanted. Please understand though that for nail art and designs they will definitely need more time and it was my bad for not mentioning I wanted a design beforehand. Definitely let them know :)

My nail tech was nice and not pushing for expensive extras. She was knowledgeable on products. My powder manicure lasted 3 weeks until it started slightly peeling off of my nails. Minus one star because I would have loved a more gentle polishing, my cuticles bled after the appointment and also because I’m always having difficulties getting a perfect almond shape.

Got a set of gel acrylics put on (for $43) and I absolutely love them! The staff is great and super nice and it’s my favorite place to get my nails done. The only thing is that it’s an extra $5 for the coffin shape but it’s still cheaper, and better, than any other place in Uptown!

THE BEST!! They are very knowledgeable about nails and keeps up with the latest trends. Their pedicures are relaxing & leave your feet feeling like a baby butt. I never wrote reviews so...unless it is great.

I got my my nails done and not even a week later they half of them fell off. Also when I was picked my colors the lady kept telling me that the colors wouldn’t look good together and that I need to choose different colors. It also tool 1 1/2 hours for the lady to do my nails. I very mad that I paid $77 dollars for half my nails to fall off within a week.

I went last weekend with my bridesmaids before my wedding, and we had a great experience! Its a small shop, so I recommend making a reservation for groups. Thats what I did, and the staff was ready, and all 4 of us got to go at the same time. None of us get manicures often, so we were sort of clueless, but everyone was so patient and welcoming! They have tons of colors and everything is very clean and tidy. Our gel manicures turned out great, and they counted all of them on the loyalty card they gave me - I thought that was super generous! Ill definitely be back next time I want to pamper myself.

My friend introduced me to this place and I could not be happier she did. The staff is so friendly and talented, plus incredibly reasonable prices. The dip polish lasts 4-5 weeks (for real). Very quick and a lot of staff so you can walk in and probably not have to wait.I do not like the color I ended up with. I didnt have time to look through the colors; she had me look with just one hand while she started my manicure. I went with a dark red but when I walked outside realized I ended up with a dark purple. She either misunderstood me as a dark purple was next to the dark red I picked on the wheel, or (and what I think happened) the lighting is so poor I actually picked this color! Too many options of nail salons to go back to this one that rushed me.

Anna was the nail technician who did my gel nails on my real nail about a month ago. She was the only person to this date that has done my nails to where they don’t peel after a week or so. I was so happy with her work I will be going back to her from now on! Thank you so much Anna!!

I have been coming here for several months. Each time I come I spend between $35-$100 before tip and also tip at least 30%. Every experience has been pleasant. However I went in yesterday and the two ladies that helped me were flat out rude. The owner or manager is always a little edgy. Yesterday she picked me to have an attitude with. I had asked for a matching color to the gel color I choose. Usually the nail tech finds the color for you so I showed the tech (who was new, at least to me) as she was looking the owner came over, forcefully snatched the gel wheel out of my hand and started looking for the matching color. Once she found it and walked away she made a smart comment about being patient. She made the comment so loud the entire salon stopped, everyone turned to look. It was very unnecessary. And the thing is I never once asked for help. It was the tech that initially came and took over who couldnt find the color. Aside from that the new nail tech was far from friendly, she didnt smile or make eye contact. Never once made conversation. She scraped my cuticles as she was scrapping away the gel. I say all of that to say this- a business without clients is no business at all. To keep a good business treat every client the same way, with kindness, appreciation and respect. My experience yesterday was enough to keep me from going back again. I refuse to spend my money with a business that doesnt recognize my value as their repeat client.

I gave them a call and they were able to get me in for an appointment the same day.The salon is pretty small, but they make good use of the space and are able to work on multiple people at a time. My tech was very thorough doing my nails and they came out looking great. Price is great the dip service ($40) and they have a huge selection of colors to choose from. Id come back again to get dip nails!

Absolutely love this place!Im new to Uptown and this is definitely a hidden gem.Ellie doesnt say much, but if you want your nails done right then she is the right person for you. No one has ever done my nails better than her.This is my new go-to nail salon hands down.

I just got my nails done (1/6/2017) I love the service and the staff!! I really do and hopefully become a regular there because they are that good. I have gone to this place twice already and I would come out with beautiful nails. Only down part was that my nail glue and skin was stuck together and when my nail technician was filing between it, it cut my skin. I was very sad that happened and asked if I could get a little discount for that inconvenience, the owner were very attentive and was listening to my issue and gave me a discount for that. Only problem was, the guy was charging me more than what the woman said she will charge me with. Its not a huge problem, I was just a little taken back from that. But I am looking forward to.come back and pay the full price.I also hope the guy realizes how lucky and flexible the customers are. If I wasnt so flexible about him charging me extra and if I didnt see how well their staff are- I would have thrown a huge tantrum and escalate the whole situation. At the end of the day, Listen to your customers issue and dont charge them extra with the nails they are not fully satisfied with and/or inconvenience. Its the customers nails. Not yours.

Awesome place! Richard is great, especially at the foot and leg massage with his pedicures! I will always ask for him!Update: Holly does an amazing job with gel nails. There were no little discrepancies or anything. I’d ask for her.

Super friendly, clean, great pricing, and amazing nails.

Had booked a manicure ahead of time. Even with an appointment they didn’t stick to the time. They took me 15 minutes past and had me sit in a pedicure chair (for a manicure) and worked from a pillow on my lap, which was odd. Once a seat opened up at the manicure table, they transitioned me over there. It felt very unorganized and rushed. Plus the space is tiny, so it’s hard to move around. It was the cheapest place and they did an OK job. The staff was very friendly, but I did not enjoy having to pay in the middle of my manicure, which by that time, I only had one hand done!! It was too strange, chaotic and dysfunctional. I would not recommend to others.

This nail salon is amazing!! They are incredible organized and efficient but at the same time personable. Their prices are incredible especially for the quality of the work they do. I get their dip manicure, and it lasts me about 5 weeks with no chipping at all!

By far the best nails in the uptown area! All the team members do a great job and are very thorough. Would recommend making an appt as they can get very busy.

I go to Envy Nails regularly! I have never been disappointed with their work or my experience. They are reliable, friendly and pleasant, and have a great space and location with parking in the back! I have had several gel manicures and one pedicure.
